Arcanist Arcanist just an fyi Joy is not the second in command, but he is a more senior member of the militia and Ula does not know what happened to Oliver... but I do and I plan to keep it a cheeky little secret for a while.

Ah no worries, I wouldn't call myself better at writing than anybody. There are writing techniques that make it a whole lot simpler, though. Once you know those, it really just comes down to your imagination and grammar. That being said, your posts are some of the most fun to read in the entire RP! So idk what ya mean. ;P

I only really think I'm 'good' at writing because I have to write a lot of books for my degree 😂 but I'd agree with Mew, fundamentally there's no one good way of writing!

And ooh, okay, we'll just ignore any further statements about Oliver haha

My latest post is up. Im not sure if you want to have your character say anything else, but I am trying to hurry this scene along a little bit because I'm sure everyone wants to attack the bandits. lol I don't think its a good idea for anyone's characters to get into a fight here, so I felt like the way I ended my post was ok. lol

Is Anthony already at the barracks? I was planning on having him arrive "today" in rp time.
 
Define arrive. Karliah is the newest member of the militia, everyone else has been in the militia at least long enough to have done a previous mission.
 
Oh. My original plan was for him to just then be joining the militia. Is he switching from a side group to the main one? Karliah and Tali don't know him according to some IC posts.
 
There's no side groups, the militia is just them. He would know them, maybe not well since he keeps to himself. You can have him be in the building or he could be down by the boat, maybe he was getting it ready?
Karliah wouldn't know him because this is literally her first day. And tali also keeps herself away from most of the others.
 
I was gonna ask whilst I was doing up this post if he's had any contact with them in the past, Ula especially. Just so I know whether she knows or not of his aversion of Beastmen or not. Though, if he tends to keep to himself, he probably hasn't had a chance to show that yet?
 
I've posted. Sorry for not saying anything beforehand about the matter, but Anthony wouldn't have spoken to her unless they had been in a mission before.

I mean she's perfectly fine with the captain. She's curious about Joy but he hasn't done anything to her, so she likes him. She was a bit shy around Karliah at first, and even though her first impression was that she needs to defend herself, I think she will warm up to her very quickly and they will be friends. She also likes Ula and Crimson, they seem nice to her.

The only issue she has currently are with Revek, Anthony and Imrae. You'll notice that she hasn't actually said a single negative word to any of them, though. She transformed and challenged Revek, but that whole interaction was more “for show” rather than an actual problem with her. Tali dislikes feeling small and underestimated, but Im sure their interactions could quickly be turned into amusement the next time they meet.

Imrae views Tali as an animal, and Im pretty sure Anthony is openly racist towards her. Once Tali becomes more familiar with Imrae I’m sure she will start viewing Tali as a comrade and not an animal. And I’m sure Anthony is just afraid of Tali. Once they get past Anthony’s fears and Tali understands what’s making him act that way toward her, their relationship will improve.

Originally, I had Anthony just not offer anyone a handshake so he wouldn't have to give one to Tali, but denying her one would be way more interesting, so I'll edit my post.
