After getting her bearings, Edith noticed something -it was.. basically just floating directly before her. No matter which way she turned her head, this 'screen' followed, always staying in the center of her vision.
So it was true. This was Fire Emblem.

Stat screen and everything.

She scanned it quickly, used to seeing video-game stat displays like this.

Everything was here; strength, magic, skill, speed, luck, defense, resistance, constitution. Only 'mov' seemed to be absent.

Nyxra. That's what .. her name read as?

No
. Focusing, she could see, just below "Nyxra, the Shadowmoon" it said, in a tooltip that popped up, "Edith Jennings." -Her real name.

Nyxra? Who was this 'Nyxra'? She read more. The blurb and description of this 'Nyxra' person. Wow. Sounds like she was a truly hate-filled, angry person. Honestly, she kinda scared Edith.

Edith saw the Personal Skill listed:

Curse-Spread
Has two effects. Enemies struck by her magic feel lethargic, slowed, and weakened. (For a brief time). Secondly, every time she casts magic, this same negative debuff is applied in a small area around her, to all those nearby. It doesn't discriminate, ally or foe will be afflicted for a short time.

What?! That sounded terrible!

Feeling slightly disconcerted, she noticed her weapon listed in her inventory and finally the big ol' ONE under her level. Really?! Level 1??? Starting from the beginning, huh?..

She looked down at the weapon clutched in her hand.

BLACK ORB.

A purple tome with a deep black orb on its cover, and black-binding. She ran her hand over it. It felt... good to hold.. That.. was weird. She wasn't sure how to feel about that. While it felt good to hold the book, Edith was a bit scared by just what that 'good' feeling meant. As she peered down at the book, a tooltip featuring all the information and relevant stats appeared, telling her everything she apparently needed to know about the tome in her hand.

A tome, huh..

Shaman. Level 1.

That's what it said on her stat screen. Speaking of stats.. She looked at the ones that were most relevant. The ones that stuck out the most... were Magic... and Resistance.. Resistance?! Seriously? She blanched. Well, if she was taking into consideration that it said 'Shaman'.. she supposed those stats added up. The worst ones were... Strength... and Skill.. that was also per usue. Con wasn't great either. But not as bad as she would've thought. Edith was not a big girl.

Wait. Were these... Were these -was all of this.. meant to be her?

It said Nyxra.. But.. she was Edith!

And yet.. it felt... so... felt right. What was this obtrusive, disconcerting feeling?

Wait. This thing -this screen -was always in her line of sight! How did she get rid of it?! As soon as she thought that, the screen disappeared, allowing her to view the world around her once more.

A grass plain, leading up to a small forest of sparse dead-looking trees. Beyond it...? She could just barely make out some large stone walls.

Suddenly something appeared over her head, instantly drawing her -and all those around her- attention. It appeared to be floating. As she strained her head up to read it, it seemed to move higher and higher, until the giant words appeared high in the sky above.

P R O L O G U E: C O N F U S I O N AND C O N Q U E R
Mission: Rout and Seize
Seize Edgewood Tower.

Edgewood Tower? Was that the stone structure up ahead??

Wait. Rout. Seize?

Were they serious??? They expected her .. erm... everyone here to do that???!

PROLOGUE stuck out the most.

Tcheh. A grin spread across the hooded girl's lips. She recollected something she mused a second ago. Starting at the beginning, huh?

If this was it appeared... this was going to be a long 'playthrough'. Would she ever see home again?

"I swear that if I get out of this,I'll never play vidrogames late at night again..." Marcus said to himself. He woke up in dome kind of weird plain...his bed replaced by a grasdy ground. There seemed to be some body of water nearby though. He did see his reflection through it. The face he saw was not his own. That of a young man same age as him(21) with messy blond hair tied in a ponytail, an handsome face and golden eyes. He was dressed in a white, yellow and orange tunic and pants, brown boots and a golden cloak.
"What's this some sort of isekai?"

The object he had in his hands was familiar. He regonised it from Fire Emblem Path of Radience and Radiant Dawn.

A Thunder tome.

The next thing that happened was even weirder.

Some kind of holographic stat screen appeared in front his eyes. "What's this? Solo Leveling?!" He did remember that anime about a guy that had some kind of stat screen like that but in real life.

Though this wasn't Solo Leveling...it was something else...familiar. He realisied it when he the the item screen.
Vulneraries. He was in a Fire Emblem game.

He read more of the screen, reading about his character( or rather...new self)
"Zack...Fulgar....Thunder mage...Level one...." He went through the background story of his "character" "What?! My character is the Fire Emblem version of Zenitsu from Demon Slayer?!" He shouts, noting a similarities, physicslly, personality wise and even in background story.

He blinked and the screen vanished. His vision was clear again. He gazed upon the grassy plains in front of him.

He moved forward only to notice giant words in the sky.

"Prologue:Confusion and Conquer."

"Mission: Rout snd seize. Seize Edgewood tower."

"Seriously?!" Marcus shouts as he noticed said tower in the horizon.
He sighed. "Let's hope I'll make it out alive. "

He headed toward the tower only to notice another figure.Unknown to him,but somewhat familiar to his new persona.
He coudn't explain why but he was scared of the girl.
Something came out of his mouth...without him wanting
to say that.
"Nyxra? What are you doing here?!"

Eleonora Luna

"Ugh... my head..."

Her grey eyes slowly flickered open like she'd suddenly been woken up from a deep sleep, blurrily taking in the dark, dank, unfamiliar surroundings as she raised a hand to her throbbing head, tentatively running a hand through white strands of hair, only for it to bump into something soft and unfamiliar. An ear, large and fluffy, twitched involuntarily as she accidentally tickled it.

"H-huh..?"

Her mouth was dry, her body sore from sleeping on an uncomfortable mat of straw, and she was starving, yet despite all that, her senses seemed better than ever—her sense of smell, hearing, and sight all strangely heightened, which only led her to be more confused as she took a clearer look at her tan body covered in markings.

It was only then she decided to read the big, obvious panel hovering in front of her, listing a bunch of details about this character, about her. The splitting headache she'd woken up with suddenly subsided as if it had never existed, two sets of memories heavy in her mind, both just as real as each other, yet neither made sense as two lives seemed to merge into one. Everything from her first conscious thought as a young Laguz to her teenage embarrassment in college and beyond, all in her head at once, all leading up to an archaeology trip in her 'other life' to... somewhere she couldn't remember.

Frowning, she pulled herself up and made her way to the door of what she knew to be a jail cell. She placed her head between the bars, feeling as hopeless as she did strange. It had been a few weeks since she'd been put in here, so no doubt the auction was going to happen soon, the thought of which made her stomach curl. She just hoped her family was okay.

Location: Plain near Edgewood Tower

A mild breeze and the rustling of leaves tickled her hair and face. Slowly, conscious thought began to form and her ice blue eyes opened to the sight of the shadow of a tree stretching across a vast open field. Still half asleep, and very disoriented due to the unfamiliar sight a simple question escaped the young woman's lips.

"Am I dead?"

Suddenly, she tried to recall what had happened, only to be met with confusion, and a sudden, splitting headache that struck like a hammer, reverberating thumps filling her skull as two sets of memories came crashing together. Thankfully the pain began to dampen with the throbs of pain and she opened her eyes once more. Pulling her hands away, she noticed a set of snow white gloves covering her hands. Strange, she didn't remember wearing gloves before. Examining her attire, she noticed the cuff of the black military uniform which was tightly wrapped around her figure. What was odd was how it felt both familiar and alien at the same time. Another, more striking sensation was of the lush sensation of fur around her neck. With a surprisingly calm demeanor. Giving a light yank, she noticed a pull on her other shoulder and concluded that it was her cloak.

"When did I ever wear..." she began before another ringing of pain began as memories of a bloody encounter flashed. The desperation she felt as she was backed into a corner by a massive white mass of fluff and muscle. A feeling of panic began to set in, and an icy cold chill pulsed down her spine as she broke into a cold sweat, until she shifted and an odd weight fell from her lap with a dull, but undeniably, metallic thud into the grass. Somehow, the sight of the blade brought her comfort, and she forgot her panic before pulling it up and naturally began to set the blade upon her left hip.

Once done she took a deep breath and brought her hand to her chin before looking within her own thoughts. Probing the more immediate memories, she began to feel out what was going on. Last night, she and her brother Ryan started a celebratory gaming marathon, a final hurrah of playing all the games they used to as younger kids before she would have to inevitably go to university. A little alcohol was indulged in, but that clearly wasn't the cause of her current state.

Gears turned in her head as she tried to piece together something, anything that led her here. Probing the other set of memories she began to piece together her fragmented identity. Feeling the pull to confirm something, she pulled off the glove on her right hand and turned the palm of her hand downwards. There, upon her hand was the faint engraving. A simple snowflake pattern which she could somehow feel was more than just a tattoo or scar. No, it had been a part of her since birth, a mark that branded her as an Aursburg.

Suddenly, and to her shock a faintly translucent screen appeared. Instinctively her hand rested on the hilt of her sword briefly before she realized that what appeared before her was not a threat.

"Let's see...Strength...Magic...Skill...Speed...Luck...wait a minute..."

It clicked suddenly and abruptly to the entity known as Lena within. As she examined the rest of the page she took note of each piece of information.

"Northern Lord...level one...great...Draconic Brand: Crest of the Northern Dragon, boosts ice and wind magic? Ok...items, Iron Sword...Vulnerary three...Blizzard tome...five uses?!"

Sophie clicked her tongue in annoyance at the last fact. She sighed and willed the menu closed. She started examining her surroundings. A stream ran along her left and as her eyes followed it a large stone structure stood erect on the horizon, concealed partially by a forest. After taking notice, a message that popped up in front of her. The largest words read, "Prologue: Confusion and Conquer" with a smaller text below saying "Rout and Seize: Edgewood Tower".

Sophie placed a hand on her hip and glared at the message before it snapped out of existence. Tapping her belt, she weighed her options. So far, she could tell this was no dream, and it was starting to piss her off.

"Great, I get accepted to university, and just before I get to head off I get isekai'd," she muttered, speaking more as Lena than Sophie. With a sigh she decided she had nothing better to do and began her trek towards the tower. "Maybe with luck, Ryan is here...then he can explain this crazy game world."
