Fantasy Finding Pack and Finding Home

Sarah lets out a hiss of pain and then a growl as she suddenly yanked into a thick patch of grass, turning around as she releases her hold on the broken cell phone to grab her leg. She gives Felse a look, but says nothing as she gingerly checks on her wound. Its not bleeding again, so she check the one on her ribs before letting out a soft sigh as her attention turns once again to her pack mate. "I have to get to the scent. I don't know what it is about it and I don't know why, just that I have to get to her. Like Max leaping off the cliff after you, I just have too." she tells her, looking at her as she tries to understand the tinge of fear in Felse's scent. It isn't enough to stop her, nor is seeing the worry in the others eyes. "Can't wait. They won't get in." Sarah said, poking her head up over the grass to look towards the building she had been heading straight for. "Wood door, go down." she repeated before starting up once again, she headed right for that door.

Max and Lucas walked along the side walk with the full intention of going around to a gate and into the fenced off area. But they quickly found that it wasn't just to keep nature in place as they had thought, it was there to keep things out. A vast natural area, with a too large building inside of it. Max had to hold in a growl when he realized that there was no way that he was going to be able to get to Felse and Sarah safely. They were separated, his pack was separated from each other and there was nothing that he could do about it without exposing that they were wolves. He had to trust them to keep each other safe. A fully armed guard blocked the only road in, loaded down with cameras too. "Come on... We don't have a choice." he said, giving Lucas a nudge when it looked like the armored men were going to start walking towards them. Max gave a bit of a smile and a wave before they continued to walk, making a haste as they crossed the street to make it like they were just passing by. They were going to need to circle back around and wait as close to the cut fence as possible without drawing attention to themselves.

Sarah barely waited for Felse as she hurried toward the building, she didn't pause to look for cameras or any of the humans that were walking around. She didn't care right then, just that the woman, the source of that scent was there inside. She had to get to her and get her out of there before anything really happened to any of them. She didn't just have herself to worry about, she had the new pack mate to worry about as well. After. Without pausing to wait, she opened the door and walked right inside and hurried down the stairs that were right there. She practically flew down them to get to the bottom, the scent getting stronger. And as soon as he looked into those Misty Grey eyes, she was able to finally slow down and stop. Taking in a deep breath she didn't know that she needed, she could only breathe one word "Hi." Her pain was still forgotten as she took slow steps forwards to get to her.

Fesle sighs, understanding the inner struggle and need to be close to someone else but not knowing how to get through to her. "I understand, but that was raging water, these are men with riffles and you're already injured. At least let me go ahead of you when you do this." her tone changing to one of empathy rather than assertive, she tries to get through to Sarah. Listening to Sarah about the predicament of not having the other pack, she can only nod to admit that fact. There can't be another entrance around this place, this isn't like the motel. This means that Fesle might have to be the protector, even if Sarah doesn't want it. Already preparing herself for her backtalk, Fesle follows close behind her. It's not hard to when Sarah's wounds slow her down, it surprises her how she hasn't looked into them as the healer she is.

Once they make it to the door, Fesle looks around and makes sure that no one is close to see them. However, she does notice that there's a camera that's pointed right for the door. Seeing that Sarah already went inside without bothering, Fesle mumbles a rare curse word before following her as well. After they leave, they'll probably have to get far away from Queen's, maybe avoiding humans for a while, to get the possible heat off of them. Like Fesle thought before, if she had time before going in, she'd have a better plan than this. It's almost like she's caring for a child in this moment instead of Sarah. This whole time Sarah has always been a jokester but Maxwell's scent. Am I like this with him?

Jogging after her, she once again notices something what Sarah doesn't and has to grab her by the shoulders to collect the information in front of her, some nasty information. Though they've finally found this girl that's the source of the scent, a glass wall block them from getting to her. She's in a glass cube with a type of leveling device underneath it, possibly an oversized elevator that got her down in the basement. How the girl is secured in her spot makes Fesle bring a hand to her heart. She's in a straight jacket, what's supposed to be used for serial killers or the mentally unwell, and tied to the chair by her torso and legs. The jacket covers all of her upper body, only her legs are bare, but red dots are scattered and the rope is causing cut circulation around the skin.

Around her face is truly painful to Fesle to look at. They covered her eyes, ears, and nose so that she can use her senses, a muzzle is around her mouth so that she can at least breathe but not hurt anyone. Fesle can barely see her eyes through all that cloth and when she stares long enough, the girl's shoulders are shaking. It could be from anything from malnutrition, tons of stress, or whatever they're poking her with. "It's like she's some guinea pig to them." Fesle growls, not like this situation as well, this girl has to get out of here today. Looking around the room, she notices a dull sledgehammer behind a toolbox. Quickly grabbing it, she's about to give it to Sarah when she hears someone approaching the basement door.

"We have to hide, maybe he'll open the cube for us." she looks around to find anywhere to be out of sight and notices some areas are poorly lit than others.

Sarah whimpers when she realizes that the woman she's pushed herself to get too, the owner of that enticing scent, doesn't even know she's there. She can barely contain the quick bubbling rage that's building inside of her as she wants to move forwards to touch the glass in an attempt to figure out how thick it is, to know if she can break it. She hates that her fearful questions that she had been asking herself had been right, she hadn't wanted them to be. Why did this need to be harder than she was ready for? Why wasn't that hole in the fence bigger? She didn't her younger brothers with all their muscles to help her figure this out.

Hearing the footsteps approaching as Felse had, Sarah was ready to pounce on him and go feral for whatever they were doing to the trapped woman. But the thought that he might make it easier to get to her, made Sarah pause and think. With a reluctant growl, she took Felse's hand to pull her over to a dark area just barely big enough to hide them both. Now was not a time to split up, and this way he would go right past into... Whatever that moving glass cage was. The room was bigger than it, she could tell that much from the hints of the damp smell that was partially in her nose. There was hints moss and mold, and something that she couldn't quite figure out. It smelt... Old. Whatever, it didn't matter as she heard the door at the top of the stairs close and cast them into a deeper darkness for a few moments before dim, yellow lights began to flicker as they came to life. The hiding spot she had chosen, barely remained that and she closed her eyes to wait as the man in uniform went by them. It was best if she didn't see him, and it was best he didn't catch that unnatural glow of her eyes that allow her to see better in the dark. The glint of the eyes of a wolf.

Only after she was sure that he had gone past did she open her blue eyes back up to watch him, and it was then she finally saw what was happening to the other woman, the extremes they were going to, on what was probably to put her body to its limits. She was wolf, whomever she was, but they cut off every sense she had intentionally to bring it back all at once and overwhelm her. Sarah was glad that Felse had been right, the man seemed to check to make sure he was alone before pushing part of the large expanse of glass for a hidden door to open. The scent hit her full force as more of it came spilling out and she took an unconscious step forwards like she was being pulled to it. But it wasn't time, the captive wolf couldn't know they were there yet... Could she? Sarah was starting to realize that against all possible odds, she had been able to track and find this other she wolf's scent.

Maxwell was getting more and more tense the more minutes went by as he and Lucas waited in a small alley not far from the near invisible cut part of the fence. He was pacing across the little space, growling low when he couldn't hear or see Felse, or Sarah. He kept scenting the air, trying to pick up if the smell of fresh pine was getting closer, or that fresh cleansing rain that was his older sister. His injured older sister who was doing something far more reckless and dangerous than he or Lucas have ever done. Would it be worth the pain to squeeze himself through that small part of the fence? Or was it safer to stay right there and wait to protect them however possible when they returned? Max growled again, clenching his fists in annoyance that he for once just doesn't know what to do.

Lucas for his part is staying as calm as he can, he knows his pack, his family, is going to need that from him more than anything when this is over. Just like he knows Sarah is going to need her supplies when she comes back, if they even have time to finally tend to her injuries. He remembers what the viles are, and he's got two in his hand that click softly together as he rolls them around in his hand and watches the fence too. He's also waiting for fresh scents of the end of rain and pine, as well as the new one that's likely to blanket them all.

Fesle makes sure to scoot herself in front of Sarah before the lights went on, just in case if things go south that she can shift and protect. The lights flickering make her jump slightly, being used to relying on the darkness. Heart races as she keeps her head down, the pumping of her own blood is practically in her ears by how intense it's getting. This makes her wish she got a gun, knife, or something besides her own teeth that she can't even use right now. She follows Sarah's actions and peers around the object they're hiding behind.

The man is in a bulletproof vest and the common camouflage uniform she's seen them wear. Under his helmet, she can see a black cord that much be a talking device or something of the sort. There's muffled voices that come from it once in a while, but he doesn't respond to them. Putting in some code against the wall, a touch screen pops up that she didn't even notice was there. After putting in the code, the door appears to create itself a rectangular lining appears and opens slowly. A puff of air comes out, "Sedation gas off-electric shock vest off-motion detection off. Heartbeat: 40 beats per minute- Activity Log: Last responsive at 6AM- Inactivity Log: Sedated since 8AM- Minor Accidents Today: 1- Major Accidents Today: 5. Proceed with caution as per usual." A female computer voice rings throughout the cube and out into the basement.

Brows furrow at the load of information, especially at sedation. Most likely how they are able to keep this girl from harming anyone is by making her constantly asleep. Fesle continues to wait for an opening as he goes in and starts taking off some gear around her head. He only keeps the muzzle on and Fesle finally sees her sunflower blonde hair after the cloths are removed. Her eyes are not as bright and silver as Maxwell's, they're more of a charcoal, misty type of gray. Her eyes, though, express no emotion and can barely stay open. It's now that Fesle is looking from the side that she sees the girl's shoulders are hunched over as well as shaking. The man takes his hand off his riffle to snap his fingers next to her ear, but the sedation makes it to where she doesn't even look in his direction. She just stares at the ground as if he's not even there, as if she doesn't even know where she is.

"The werewolf is still sedated, we're all clear to transport her in three hours." The man says through his talking device, another voice responding. "Alright, give her that last injection and leave her be." "Over and out." he replies before taking a needle out of his pocket. A dingy red liquid is inside it and the needle itself is longer than Fesle has ever seen. Crouching in front of her, he slowly puts the needle through her straight jacket and into her abdomen.

Sarah watched and listened to every move that this man was making, listening to the false voice as it spoke about how inactive the other wolf was. She was just barely waiting, biding her time as she knew that no matter what, she was not leaving this place without her, she couldn't. So the moment she saw that large needle, she was pushing her way around Felse and shifting instinctually to rush forwards with a deep warning growl as she stalked forwards into the large open glass enclosure. He was as trapped as she was, and the plunger never went down as she moved towards him while looking much the same as she had in the alley way. Her ears were to the side like horns and every naturally white fang and tooth were on display. She stalked towards him and made him back into a corner before launching at him to aggressively yank the radio away before he could make a call for help, before any more commands could come from it. Backing slowly away from him, she snorted and gave him a warning that he needed to stay put with an intense look in her blue eyes that were so dark in that moment they were more akin to the night sky than the day.

Sarah knew that she wasn't supposed to do what she was going to do, but she had too in order to get the trapped wolf out of there. She shifted back to human and ignored the pain both had caused her as she backed up while keeping the man in her line of sight. With shaking and deft fingers she undid the ropes that bound her, and tossed the needle to the side, still unused. Adrenaline was surging through her as her fingers moved quicker still to get the odd white fabric jacket off, but the other woman couldn't walk. At least not yet. So, blind to her own pain, she picked her up and pressed her nose into the blonde hair to just breathe her in. Something about it calmed and soothed her wolf for a moment before she was backing out the still open clear door. Another warning growl tore out of her when she saw the human make a move towards his radio, she would set down the one she came for to charge at him again and her body language said as much as she kept moving until they were both out of the glass cage. "Stay... Enjoy." she said, mocking the human male as she gave the door a nudge to trap him, unaware it would reactivate the system.

"We need to leave. Now!" Sarah said, turning around to look at Felse and moving to rush past her. She had her, she had the source of that enticing and quickly addictive scent. Whatever she had to do, she was going to get them out of there. For now, she ran up the stairs with the woman in her arms but was stumped when it came to the door because she couldn't figure out how to open it and whimpered as she turned around to look at her pack mate for help. They needed to be quicker in getting out of there, they needed to run and get back to the fence and they needed to get there now. She knew the longer they were there, that the more danger that they were going to be in. She was sobering to the fact just how much danger they really were in.

Maxwell stood taller and turned around with a deep rumbling sound in his chest that wasn't quite a growl. "They're coming." he told Lucas, looking around before he was charging towards the fence and driving his shoulder into it and leaning heavily into it to keep it open so they could get out fast when they arrived. His heart felt like it was racing, wanting to jump out of his chest because his pack was finally returning, they would be whole again.

Lucas rushed to follow him, the viles were clutched tight in his hand still, but there was almost like this deep sinking feeling of dread in his stomach that something far worse had happened, or would happen if the girls didn't return soon. But he took slow breaths to keep his calm that would keep them all together.

Fesle holds out her hand as Sarah runs off, wanting to shout but it was already too late. Shifting into her wolf form to attack Fesle soon gets up to props the door open with the sledgehammer. Watching the encounter take place, Fesle quickly goes into action and takes her muzzle off. It makes a loud thud as it hits the floor, leaving marks on the sides of the girl's face. It's then she notices the line-like scar on the right side of her face, going vertical across her lips. Not knowing if that is from this place or in the past, she at least knows it's not recent. She makes room for Sarah to untie the ropes and sees that the man still has his riffle because it's strapped onto him.

The only thing he was able to do was pull the riffle back around before Fesle gives up her identity and shifts. Her white canines bite into the barrel and fights for a few seconds to not let him have control. Jerking and growling, she keeps this up until Sarah carries the girl out of the enclosure. She shifts and kicks the man in the groin before running out. After the door closes, she watches in uneasiness as the man punches the glass before slowing growing unconscious. Her lungs huff for breath before she jerks her head toward Sarah, seeing that she doesn't know how to open the door.

She runs up the stairs and lightly pushes Sarah aside to work on the handle. It's a bit odd, but luckily the lights are on so that she can see it clearly. There are two metal levers that are intertwined with each other, she sees these types of knobs in really old buildings. With two hands on the levers, she crisscrosses them apart and pushes the door open. "I'll cover you, just keep running!" Fesle commands before shifting and jumping out from the basement door. Already, she sees a man spotting them and she runs towards him. He was able to shoot a bullet, but thankfully it misses her as she goes for his shoulder. Feeling the impact of their fall, she lets go before he tried to stab her with a hunting knife. She goes back to bite the closest thing she sees, which is his hand, making him drop the knife with a scream.

"No, you have to stay close. Max might kill me if I return without you." Sarah said, but it was too late as she watched Felse run off. Letting out a soft whine, she ran out from the basement, barreling to go back the way they had come. She would stop to take a look back over her shoulder to make sure her back mate was still coming, she had to pause to howl, calling to her as the wolf like sound came out of her very human throat. She needed to make sure that they all returned together as she turned back to run again, instinctually doing what she could to protect the woman in her arms as she hurried to get to the fence and her brothers. Panic almost went through her at the sounds of gun fire, knowing they were being fired at them all as they ran. Breathing hard, relief washed over her at the sight of her brothers and she stumbled and fell to her knees as she got up to them and held out the woman in her arms. "Take her! Please... Take her." she panted, pleading desperately with her brothers.

Max, who had been holding the fence open can't deny his sister her request when he sees and hears that desperation. Reaching out, he takes her from her arms and holds her close as he turns and says only "Lucas." as he cradled the foreign woman in his arms to pull her carefully through the fence and move away from it. As he moved away, Lucas took his place to hold it open and help both Sarah and Felse through.

"Alright, I think its well past time for us to go." Lucas said, turning to give the viles in his hand to Sarah, but she was showing no interest in healing herself still as she was trying to take the woman out of their brothers arms. He rushed forwards to make things easier and scooped her up to toss her over his shoulder so that he could run.

"Nope! You can check her and yourself after. We need to leave." Max said, starting to run towards what he was sure was the best way to get out of the city. But he didn't really know where they were and the only way he really knew to get out, was to go back the way he came, but he didn't want to go back the way that he had come. So, he was going south as he knew that his pack mates were going to follow him.

Sarah was not pleased, and let them know it with her vocalizations. Her growls and curses, she even beat her fists on her brothers back. But she also tired quickly and slumped, bouncing on his shoulder as they rushed to get away. Her bright blue eyes feel to Felse and it felt like more relief washed over her. At least they were all alive, and they were together. The pack was still whole. Mostly.

Fesle keeps battling with the man until her ears flick toward Sarah's howl. Knowing she has to bold once she lets go of this man's arm, she gives him one last bite into his gloved hand before leaving. The sounds of gunshots make her not shift out of her form, making her less of a big target as she fights through the fence that Maxwell's holds open for her. A sharp scratch is felt on her side but she ignores it as she turns back into her human form.

She puts on a hand on Maxwell's shoulder to look at her right hip and can see a rip going into her jeans. It'll start bleeding in a bit, as for now they need to get out of here. The men are getting closer and the gun fires are still sounding. Fesle starts running when everyone else does, not wanting to be a hero again and try to attack another human. Once they get into the trees, she can hear those blasted dogs again. A growl leaves her throat as she changes back into her wolf form to go ahead of them. Not running too far, she's still in their line of sight as she keeps her nose toward the ground to sniff out any signs of less human footprints.

If they can get to an area that humans haven't gone to or hard to travel, they might lose them. She stops on top of a hill and sees two options, either go back into the city and get the dogs to loose their scent from the city, or go back into the forest. Maybe they can lose them through a less-dangerous river to cross, a cave to hide in, or more towards the mountains. Her body turns to Maxwell and whines for an answer, whatever he decides is where she'll go.

Max shakes his head when he sees that Felse has glanced back towards the city, he won't go back. That place was far too much trouble than it should have been. So, he pushed forwards, slower than he likes because he's still human, he has to be because he's got an unconscious wolf in human form in his arms. He just keeps going, he doesn't stop until the muscles in his arms start to burn and there is a dull ache in his feet. He growls softly as he's forced to bring them to a stop and he gently sets what's likely their newest pack member down. Afterwards he's moving towards Felse, he needs to check her over, pull her close and breathe her in. He doesn't like the small cut he finds on her hip, gently running his fingers over it before he's glancing towards Sarah in the hope to get her to heal the small cut. But that question dies before it ever leaves his lips when he sees her and instead he pulls Felse close to him, just holding her as he moves to sit on a fallen log with her. "No more major cities." he says softly, holding her close as he presses his nose into her hair. "I'm glad you're safe." he whispers, keeping his arms firmly around her.

Lucas let out a heavy sigh as he had Sarah slide off of his shoulder. She groaned and rubbed her stomach as she staggered towards the still sleeping woman. How long did it take for that stuff to wear off. He shook his head and dropped the duffle bag beside her so that she could get her medical things out when she needed them while he went to go and find some fire wood to build them one. Maybe he could hunt for something as well, since his siblings and the rest of the pack were all otherwise occupied. And when was the last time the new pack mate had gotten to eat anything? So, he set off to help take care of the pack.

Sarah let out a deep groan as she was set on her feet, rubbing her stomach which was sore from being carried improperly for so long. But she didn't say anything as she made herself walk towards the one she had been so driven to save. They'd have to find her clothes, or maybe share as she eased down onto the ground to sit with her as she checked on the large cut to her ribs. She had to take off her sweater and rolled up her shirt to double check on it, she glanced up when the duffle was dropped beside her and she practically dove for it to get her medical supplies. She needed to tend to herself, get rid of the pain and speed up the healing process. She began to take care of herself, glancing every now and again to the woman she was beside, as if to assure herself that she was still there and that she was alive and okay. When she was done tending to herself, she would turn her attention to her to figure out what was going on, to find out what was wrong. It was already dark and they were without warmth or light. But there were no sounds of humans around them at least.

Fesle didn't realize until now just how long and exhausting their day has been for it to now be almost nighttime. The gently blue sky had turned darker as they ran, time went out the window as they didn't care for it. All they cared about was getting away from the humans. After shifting back to human form, she brings a hand to her heart to feeling it pounding like mad. Lungs begin to ache as she desperately breathes, just in case they needed to run some more. Thankfully, all she could hear were the pants of her pack members and the crickets in the distance.

Smelling Maxwell's scent so close to her and hearing his footsteps, she doesn't have to turn around to know that he's coming towards her. Instead, she embraces him but not in a strong way, she still trying to rest and breathe. When they separate, she looks to find him investigating her scratch and simply moves his hand to her waist. "Trust me, the jeans are more damaged than I am, I'm the least to be worried about right now." she assures with a small smile, starting to get tired. Then again, she's not used to possibly having a normal sleep schedule as well, this was around the time they all went to bed last night. But she knows, deep down, that they're not going to bed anytime soon.

As she sits with Maxwell and he tells her what's now off limits, her eyes squint from his words. But that's been my life this whole time... Just the thought of not seeing people like that elderly woman make her tear up slightly. "They're not all bad Max, I promise." her voice croaks a bit as she compresses her emotions with another deep breath. Her heart begins to settle before wrapping her arms around his neck, burrowing her head in the crook of it. "I'm so sorry Max, I just wanted you to listen to jazz music." One hand reaches into his thick red hair, fingers intertwining in the wavy texture of it. Even if she can't go into big cities anymore, at least no one is gone.

After a minute of just holding him tenderly, she slowly lets go and looks away, "I'll get a fire going." she mumbles before getting up and trudging to find supplies. This crushing feeling she has is from many factors that aren't just from what Max said, but also lack of food. Once again, she hasn't eaten anything all day but it is only necessary for the type of day they had. At least they're also away from those city werewolves that stalked them. The next time she smells something that unfamiliar she's not going to be so light about it. Walking past Sarah, she looks down at the woman they rescued. Just now noticing her clothes, she might need more layers on. All the woman has is a scrub shirt and what appears to be jogging shorts. It's when looking at the bulk of her torso did she remember what the computer said.

In a haste, Fesle kneels in front of the woman and lifts up her shirt to see the small wrap around her stomach. It has to be that 'electric vest' that was mentioned. "Max, help me take this off." she asks, not knowing if this electric vest works out of the perimeter of the facility. Not taking chances now that they're finally away from the humans.

Max lets out this deep sigh as she protests his words, but he can understand because it had been part of her life for so long. At least, that's what makes him think she protests, so he softly tells her. "I just said no big cities, we can still stop in the small towns. Its what we were doing before." he tells her, watching her get up to start a fire with the small amount of dead branches and twigs that Lucas had left them before he disappeared into the woods somewhere. But he knows that he's close, he can feel that much through their family and pack bond. Knowing that they're safe for the time being, he stands up and deposits Felse's backpack on the ground carefully before walking forwards as she calls for him to help with something. Max walked over to sit the girl back up because she was mostly dead weight before pausing as he was growled at, they both were. Sarah was acting far more protective than he had ever seen, and he only proceeded to help after she said sorry. But he made sure she could see that did her no harm. Taking Felse's hand, he guided her back to the log they had been sitting on and gestured for her to sit back down "I'll take care of the fire... Have you got anything warmer for her to borrow when she wakes?" he asked, moving down onto one knee to start building the fire.

Sarah stops what she's doing to watch Felse and Max as they approach, a low warning growl in her throat that doesn't just surprise her, but surprises them she's sure. "Sorry." she says, clenching her jaw as she watches them both with very careful eyes. Every single move that they make, she's watching them with her hands stilled from putting a bandage on the large gash on her ribs. She doesn't resume what she's doing until they're done and she finishes pressing the tape against her skin before she's pulling off her shirt to reach for a clean one and throw the other towards where the fire will be. Knowing she needs to take care of her leg eventually, she can't help but to check over the sleeping female to make sure that she's okay. Whatever had been on her didn't appear to have done any harm, and she couldn't find any injuries as she lightly ran her slender fingers over her, there was nothing new on her, they all appeared to be old or already healing. Resolving that her leg could wait a little longer, she began to gently tend to her.

Lucas had dropped off enough wood to start a fire before he had shifted and headed off on his own to hunt them down something to eat. He'd be lucky to find something large enough to feed them all, but then, the three of them were used to living as actual wolves, sometimes they actually got to eat every day, other times, they were going for a week before they were able to eat again. The longest being just shy of two weeks. Water was always easier to come by. He quickly picked up the smell of something and crouched low as he began to stalk his prey. There were five hungry wolves to feed after all.

Fesle begins to investigate the vest now that she's off the ground, thanking Maxwell even though he must be tired as well. There's a few wires going in and out of the vest and a light blue light blinks slowly. She doesn't know what this means, but begins to try to unlatch the several belts that keep it tuck against her non-defined waist. However, when she hears Sarah growl, Fesle's brows furrow and her lips twitch downward.

The fact that Sarah is getting aggressive over them doing something she didn't even do makes Fesle a bit irritated. Not only that, but they got all put into this situation- the pack fight and the military- because of her obsession with this girl's smell. But something deep inside her is irritated as well, something that she can't explain but seems natural to her. The fact that Sarah is trying to defy what could be good for the new pack member seems outrageous. For her to growl at the Alpha too, makes Fesle growl back with eye contact, not in the aggressive way that Sarah did, more like a warning. The very act surprises her as well, why did she have to growl at Sarah? Why did she feel the need to protect a pack member she doesn't even know yet? "While you're on top." Tyson's words ring in her head as she lets Maxwell guide her back to the log. Am I letting being close to Max get to my head?

"Hm, I just bought that long-sleeve at the thrift store- and I have some leggings." Fesle drags her bookbag towards her with total disregard of the bottom getting dirty. Unzipping the bag, she easily finds the plastic bag but has to dig deep for the leggings. The tightness of them made it her last resort to wear, she can't even remember when or how she got them. After pulling them out, she watches Maxwell try to start the fire before looking over at Sarah. The guilt for growling back at her starts to set in. "Hey Sarah," she starts gently, "I don't feel comfortable undressing someone...could you do it?"

Holding out the clothes to her, she's giving Sarah the option to come to her rather than her protruding her personal space again. Apparently this new girl is now part of that space as well. "I never wear these leggings so she's free to take them and I can always find more winter clothes in another thrift store." She explains so that Sarah or this new member won't feel bad for taking her stuff. In the end, she doesn't mind this girl having them. After all, she promised all of them that she's got their back, why shouldn't it extend to this woman as well?

Sarah had been surprised by the growl that came back at her, an Alpha's warning growl. But she said sorry, so she just watched as they took the vest off. Then she was assessing the female with careful fingers before gently tending to the wounds that she does find. She doesn't look up, or away from what she's doing as Max and Felse talk. Though she appreciates the offer of clothing for the other female, she isn't so sure that she's comfortable in changing her clothing for her either. Even if she needs it from being in whatever she's wearing for who knows how long. "I... I'll grab them when I'm done." she says, casting a glance her way. "I... I'm still sorry, I don't know why I growled at you both... I didn't... I'm so sorry." she told her, offering a small smile to let her know that she knew that she was sure they both hadn't meant it. She turned her attention back to what she was doing, making sure that this new pack mate was okay, unaware that every time she had to grab something from her small supply, that she was edging closer and closer to her.

Max let out this deep and heavy sigh, turning to grab hold of the clothing from Felse's hand, giving her this large warm smile before he's tossing them to land gently beside Sarah on the edge of their duffle bag, unsure if she even saw it. He didn't care to pay too much attention as he turns back to starting the fire. He gets a small flame and begins to gently encourage it to grew, adding only as needed until its strong and doesn't need his help. He moves back to sit himself beside Felse and places an arm around her to keep her close to him, wanting to make sure he knows where she is and that she's safe. She had been far away from him too long and he had worried, she came back with only a small cut on her hip, but even still, he felt safer and calmer with her there at his side. It calmed him to a degree he just didn't fully understand. "What was it like in there?" he asks softly, watching his sister across the fire as her focus is almost entirely on the new pack member.

Lucas has to shift to human to throw the deer over his shoulders, its not very large, but its something to eat. He walks slowly back to the camp, following the scents of his family, of his pack as he trudges along slow to get back to them, tipping it onto the ground when he comes into the light. He lets out a puff of air and moves to sit down by the head of it because Max gets to have the first bites, gets to be the one who gets the best parts on the inside, the heart and liver. He knows they'll have enough, hopes they'll have enough left whenever the newer pack mate wakes up. Why hadn't she woke up yet?

Max turned his attention at the scent of Lucas and a deer, letting out a soft sigh and smiling because he was unharmed still and now had a meal for all of them. A meal that would hopefully be enough. Rising up, he held tight to Felse's hand as he pulled her over to the carcass and shifted to his wolf form. He shook out his fur and waited for her to shift before he's rubbing all along her side and guiding her to take the first bites with because instinct was telling him too. They would share in the best parts.

Fesle watches Sarah as she struggles to convey her sincere apology for her actions. Why can't I bring myself to apologize? It's not like I had the title to growl back at her like that. Folding her hands to keep warm, she offers a smile right back at her. "It's alright Sarah, it's been a stressful day for all of us. I know that when I left you guys in the alleyway," she looks towards Maxwell, "it was hard to stay positive. The further I was away from you guys, the harder it was to smell, I felt like I lost a part of myself." Hopefully, her honesty conveys to Sarah before adding about her uncomforting in changing the woman. "I've helped change people a few times because of them being.....well....not on planet earth," she discreetly says without implying they were stoned, "I can help change while you tend to any needle punctures she might have?" After all, women stick together, like Sarah said at the river.

Her head lays on Maxwell's shoulder when he brought her close, a smile growing along with a suspire of bliss. Lashes flutter shut to relish being back in his embrace without chaos around them. "It was...odd...we're lucky she was in the basement because there was no way we would have entered the building. They had her tied up and blocking all of her senses...she looked so frail and weak...I think they were experimenting on her Max." she reveals. The whole time she speaks her hand scotches closer to his' before her fingertips graze his knuckles. "But, I can at least say that she doesn't look so lifeless as before, they sedated- I mean, gave her a chemical that made her asleep. It sounds to me that she's been out of it just about twelve hours."

Once in a while, the woman's nose or fingers will twitch in sparse moments, but that's all they've been getting for the past hour. "Hopefully she'll wake up soon, but we need to be patient with her. Who knows how she'll react once she wakes up." At the bottom of it all, Tyson said that if she's not going to negotiate with them, 'their lives will be forfeit'. The thought makes her have to swallow her own saliva forcefully.

Fesle tilts her head when Maxwell leads her to the deer, her stomach growling but was willing to wait. "Max, you have to eat first, you've been working the hardest."

Max gives Felse another nudge to encourage her to eat with him, but decides to breath that first barrier and bites down into the tenderness of the deer to tear into it and enjoy the taste. He still fully intends to share with her as they eat. He keeps bumping her with whatever part of him he can, keeping her close to him and doing his best to encourage her to join him. He rarely did that with his siblings, but instinct kept telling him to start treating her better. To treat her differently and it had been growing through out the day.

Lucas watched Max and Felse for a bit before he shifted back to wolf and stretched out on the ground, they hadn't been given permission to eat yet, only Felse. So he stretched out to wait for permission, to wait his turn. His eyes drifted back over to their new pack mate, watching her with intense brown eyes.

Sarah barely turned her attention towards Lucas when he arrived with food, she wasn't actually interested in eating, no matter how much her stomach grumbled at the promising smell. She finished making sure that the woman was okay, watching as her nose twitch in such a cute way. She glanced at the others, before she was gently touching her hand, taking it for a moment to just hold onto it to know what it felt like. Satisfied, she slowly pulled herself away to start wiggling out of her ruined jeans to get better access to the back of her thigh that was injured. With deft fingers she was once again treating a wound, one that she couldn't really see. She wasn't sure even what it looked like, but like the one on her ribs, it didn't feel deep.

Max turned his head to call Lucas over to eat with him when he realized, patched up, Sarah wasn't going to be able to eat. And the newest pack member was still asleep. He'd make sure, when the time came, to call the others off so that the others would be able to eat. For now, he turned his head back to have a few more bites to hopefully get his fill.

Fesle gets his hints and ends up giving in, knowing that the others won't eat until she eats with him. Her wolf form appears quickly as she ate in the same place she always has, the lung area, the claws aiding her at getting through some tough muscles. The yanking she has to do to get to the good parts causes the deer to move a bit, but once that piece ripped off that's all she needs to dig in.

Once Lucas joins in, she notices there's still one more wolf- awake at least- that isn't eating. Her vibrant brown eyes glisten in the darkness as she watches Sarah. While tending to her wounds at last is relief, Fesle knows that she really needs food. Due to the outcome of not leaving the woman's side, if not getting closer, she has a feeling she won't ever eat at this rate. Eyes shift back down at the carcass before reaching over to Maxwell's side to grab a good part of the meat. The best part of the deer is meant for the Alpha, so with her ears back in a submissive manner, she hopes that she won't tick Max off.

The tender meat rips out, providing a good chunk that drips in blood. Instead of eating it, she holds it in her muzzle as she heads over to Sarah. Looking up at her with her ears still down, she puts the meat at her feet but not too close to her jeans. Sarah needs the best part of the meat, she has the most injuries. Her tail wags before sniffing close to Sarah's side, letting out a whine. She wishes that she was there to protect Sarah instead of running off. Maybe she could have gotten the blow instead of such a viable member. Also, if Sarah chooses to let the woman have it once she wakes up, then at least she'll get some nutrients in her. I can't imagine what all they've done to her, I hope they at least gave her food. Looking over at her, her ears perk up when the woman's arm twitches. It could be just a reflex or her having a dream, but it still got Fesle's attention nonetheless. With ears back down to show Sarah she's not going to do anything, she takes a step toward the woman to sniff her scent, attempting to get used to it.

The days got lost as the darkness was always around her, barely getting any sun or moonlight on any part of her skin. Not to mention that she's now laying on a cold, hard floor that smells of moss and dew, things just don't seem to get better. It's bad enough that Ghost keeps having this addicting so close to her, she had to switch to breathing through her mouth an hour ago. The tundra wolf hoped that they would slumber or leave her alone so that she could escape. However, she's been pretending to be asleep for so long now that it's starting to annoy her. It takes all parts of her being to not just jump up and run, but it hasn't been an option due to the sedatives.

The smell of deer for the first time in such a long time, though is enticing, doesn't make her hungry. Why aren't I hungry? Her only guess is that the human force-fed her when she was passed out, got to keep their guinea pig alive after all. The closest person to her regretfully belongs to that scent she can't get out of her mind, it's like a fresh smell but not hygiene wise. It's more like a smell after a storm, a peaceful, inviting smell that she misses. She can't believe she admits to even missing rain. This whole time she's waited for the girl to walk away, but to no avail. Blood stenches along with her scent, so at least Ghost knows that she's wounded. Herbs are also in the air, making her at least know she's around competent wolves.

What catches her off guard is that the same wolf that growled at Sarah is back and also the same wolf that lifted up her shirt. In fact, the whole time she's been faking rest, Ghost has been nothing but defiled. Shirts almost being removed, having that girl with the scent trail her body with her fingers- her taken her damn hand! Just the thought made Ghost accidentally flinch her arm, at first imagining an attack. Apparently she has more energy than she thought- well duh, she's been sleeping non-stop....Time to put this energy to good use.

Ghost continues to stay still with her eyes closed as she smells pine getting close to her, along with the sound of sniff. She grits her teeth and waits until Fesle is close enough, she only gets one shot at getting the Alpha's mate. If she messes this up, the Alpha can focus more on her than wanting to care for his mate.

It happened in a flash, Fesle couldn't stop it or back away, it was like lightening reflexes. In a blink of an eye, the woman became a bright white wolf and bit into the side of her neck. Fesle lets out a high-pitched yelp before falling onto the ground, the attack wasn't fatal but it surely was shocking. The smell of copper hits her nose as she feels a warm liquid already start to trail down her fur, in her shoulder area. After getting one wolf close to her down, Ghost shifts back into her human form and kicks Sarah in the side, specifically where her wound is, trying to not her off the log. Using her adrenaline while she can, she jumps onto a tree and starts climbing. Knowing she can't outrun them in an unknown location, she'll at least do what she knows they can't accomplish; and that's climbing up a difficult tree and at least fighting her on it.

Once she makes it up a good height, she sits on a branch thick enough to hold her weight and leans against the tree. With one foot on the tree with her, she rests her arm on it as she glares down at them. She doesn't growl, bark, or speak, just glares down at them. They could be anyone, more importantly, she could be under their eyes for a reason. A reason could be to kill her, take her back to her family, and give her to another pack that wants her dead. Either way, she's not coming down from this tree.

Max turned his head to watch Felse, thinking that she was going to it herself but stops and watches as she takes it to his sister instead. He tilts his head because it takes him a moment to realize that she's going to need it, that it will help her heal and keep her strength up. He quickly digs into the rest of the deer for what was left of the other parts meant for him before he's trotting over to drop them at his sisters feet. He gives her a gentle nudge and an affectionate siblings lick before he's turning his attention to Lucas, who's happily eating away at the deer that he caught. There would still be enough left for them if they needed it, if they wanted it. He's about to return, his back to them because they're pack and safe when he hears it. The yelp that sets every nerve on edge and an anger burning inside of him that he's never felt before, he whips around just in time to see the very woman his sister had worked so hard to save, kick her right in the ribs. With a snarl he launches forwards but misses catching her as she shifts again and runs for a tree and is up it before he can even think. Growling, he sends Lucas to the bottom of the tree to watch her as he rushes towards Felse. While worried about his sister, instinct tells him he has to see to her first. He rubs against her and instantly starts licking at her fresh wound while he whimpers softly.

Lucas whips around at the sound of a yelp and can only watch the scene unfold like its some cruel joke before she's climbing a tree. A tree that wouldn't actually stop any of them because they can climb just as well as she can, well, they used to be able too, they might not be as good at it anymore. He runs to check on Sarah before he's being sent to sit at the bottom of the tree. He got some of the deer at least, maybe not as much as he would have liked, he looked up the tree at her before shifting to human and placing his back against the bark so that she's over his head. "That wasn't very nice... You have no idea how hard they both worked to get you free, you know." he said, folding his arms as he watched the pack around the fire as it cast an orange glow over everything and casting the rest into dark shadows.

Sarah looks up as Felse walks over, bringing her something she only remembers getting to eat as a pup when she was sick. She smiled her thanks, carefully finishing up pressing the tape to her skin as she finishes bandaging the wound on her leg. Her eyes watch her as she starts towards the one she's practically touching because she's sitting so closer to her. In the flash of a movement, she looks happily surprised to find that the woman is getting up before it turns to one of shock as she watches her attack Felse in wolf form. "Wait-!" she's about to tell her they're pack, that she's safe when the attack is over in a blink and she's shifted before she herself is kicked. Its like her heart breaks as it feels like one of her ribs cracks and she can't breath. She can't get enough air into her lungs as she hugs herself and falls in a slump to the ground. She knows the cut on her ribs is bleeding worse than it had been before, but she can't check on it. It hurts to move, she has tears in her eyes and even when she's breathing again, it's like something is fractured inside of her. Like the cracked rib leads to something more. With a strength she shouldn't have, she pushes herself up and tears fall from hollow blue eyes as she finds a way to get over to Max and Felse.

Sarah swats at Max's nose to stop him and he bares teeth at her and growls but she ignores him and pushes him out of the way to take a look at Felse's shoulder. "It's not as bad as it could be. Do you want to be human or wolf? I can patch you like this or you can shift and I wrap it." she tells her, hands already going through her things. Her voice comes out heavy and dull instead of its usual lighter tone. "You need to drink this, and this. They'll help with your healing, pain and stop any chance of an infection." she told her, holding two viles in her fingers. The same ones Lucas had been holding earlier. The last two, she would need to make more for herself, but as healer, her job is to take care of the pack first.

Max knows those are the last ones and he lets out a soft annoyed growl as he watches. She's in charge when it comes to healing. Moving, he gives both a nuzzle before he's shifting to human and heading towards the tree to look up at angry eyes glaring down. "I am going to continue to show you a kindness because I know how hard my sister pushed and hunted your scent down. You'll get a piece of deer, eat, or don't. I personally don't care. But hurt pack again, you and I are going to have a hard time getting along. I'll also toss you up some clothes that will cover you a little better." he said, glaring back up at her with his arms folded before he turned to go to the fire, where he was retrieving their buck knife from the duffle to walk to the deer to cut out a tender piece before he was picking up the clothes Felse was giving her to toss both up to her. She could choose from there.

Sarah, though she was tending to Felse, had turned her attention back to the woman with that enticing scent as she looked up into the tree at her. Watching her with blue eyes that should have shone bright in the fire, barely sparkled. The action of being kicked by the other woman had hurt her more than physically.

Fesle lays there for a bit as she watches the whole intercourse happen, not sure if getting up is the best. Not long after that Maxwell is back at her side and is already trying to care for her wound. Though she greatly appreciates it, she looks up at the woman to look over her now that she's awake. The glare that she casts down on them isn't territorial, a warning- nothing like that, but a glare that shows that she won't hesitate to do worse. This is what Tyson was warning about...

Sarah comes to her with the viles and she shifts back into her human form, finding that it'll be better to look at it versus through black fur. Though she can't see it because it's at the crook of her neck, she can at least feel it lightly with her fingers. Wincing at the pain, she looks down to see that her shoulder area is starting to soak with her own blood. Even then, she sighs and tries to seek the positive, "It's not a bite on the throat, I should be fine...just the shock factor that got me." She takes the viles before looking at at Sarah and taking her hands, "She's just scared Sarah, nothing about this is your fault." she tries to assure before sitting crisscross to take the viles.

Watching them care for each other definitely doesn't go unnoticed from Ghost's perspective. They're not greedy with their supplies and will give even if they desperately deserve it. She focuses her glares on Fesle and Maxwell...because she can't bring herself to look at the healer. Whenever her eyes do flicker that way, there's a feeling in her heart that feels worse than the kick that she gave her. It's the same hopelessness and pain she felt being captured, but worse, somehow much worse. Having to remind herself that her protection comes first, she can't take any chances or empathy until she's gathered enough information.

Her head looks down towards Lucas, kind of finding it easy to escape him now that he's just leaning on it. Maybe he doesn't even want to do this, which is beyond her that they are so chill and generous over a stranger. Plus, despite the anger they're feeling over a normal reaction, they're still trying to be nice to her- why?! Usually if she does this to a pack then they'll let her go or disown her, why is this pack different?! I can't stand these stupid emotions... Scolding herself for not only having the difficulty to understand them, but why can't she understand her own? Why can't she look at the healer like the others? What's going on in her heart that's causing so much ruckus? And what the hell is with this girl's scent that she has to breathe through her mouth?! There's too many questions that are going on in her head for someone who hasn't had the freedom to for months.

Maxwell's voice brings her back into the situation as she listens to him. Without giving thanks, she easily grabs the clothes that reek of pine, the Alpha mate's scent. These are supposed to be valuable to her and her only... In every pack she's witness, no one would dare have the privilege to share these clothes, not even go near them. She has to force herself to stop analyzing the smell of them because they still smell of her. What the hell is going on here? This isn't a normal pack, these rules aren't the same as others. Three of them have similar scents but are altogether different and the Alpha's mate has a stench of the city while the others don't.

Fesle tries to be still as Sarah tends to her wounds and sees how much of a disdain they're all in. Maxwell isn't going to speak to her anymore, Lucas won't, and Sarah seems too heartbroken to even stare at her anymore. This discord isn't right in Fesle's heart and she feels the need to try to encourage them all to get back on a somewhat level. With that, her eyes look up at the woman but can't move her head because of the wound. "I'm Fesle Demonoke, and this is Sarah, Lucas, and Maxwell." she motions carefully with her hand that doesn't have the wound. "You were in pretty bad shape when me and Sarah found you...what's your name?" At this point she's just trying to get the girl to speak, even if was to yell at her, she needs to at least know that this girl isn't mute or anything.

The woman pushes back her sunflower blonde hair, mostly the bang area, as she looks at Fesle. It's hard to not look at this Sarah girl since they're close together and it causes her to regretfully lose her threatening gaze. "Name's Ghost," she finally speaks with a voice calm and soothing despite all that she did in a span of seconds, "why did you guys save me in the first place?" This is sort of a little test to see how they'll respond to this question. If it's some lovey dovey, sweet answer that they actually mean, she might just jump off the tree. At least then she knows that two werewolves won't go near her, escaping from an Alpha isn't a first for her. Her question intended to be what decides to get out of the tree, but her legs already swing over the branch, prepared to catch her fall when she decides to jump. The fact that she wants to be close to them is so confusing to her.

"Crescent... Our family name is Crescent. Like a phase of the moon, when it's only a sliver in the sky." Sarah says, her voice still dull and hollow. She's turned away from Ghost, it hurts that the other won't even look at her and she doesn't understand why. She wonders, if her answer will be enough as to why they helped. Carefully bandaging the wound on Felse, she says "I'm why we helped you... Your scent, I had too... I needed to find it and I don't why. I dragged them around most of the city before we, I, found you." She glanced her way for only a moment before finishing her work. With stiff and slow movements, she went back towards the duffle bag and finally removed the ruined jeans from around her ankles, every move robotic as she threw them aside. She only had one other pair to put on, and she appeared to struggle with the motions of doing so. Like she'd given up on everything. She didn't even bother to change her shirt again, where blood had soaked through the bandage and fabric of the material. Sarah was just going through the motions, wooden as she started to make more medicine with a very small camping pot. Medicine she needed. The bits of deer that had been carried to her lay forgotten where they had been dropped, their precious nutrients going to waste as they lay uneaten.

Lucas moved a bit of a ways into the darkness as he stated near the tree, making himself ready to catch anything that this woman didn't catch. He was surprised that this, Ghost, didn't want the deer. But he was more than happy to catch the tender meat to have for himself. Snacking on it as he kept a watch up the tree, ready to shift and give chase of she tried to leave, tried to run. They were pack, but she seemed more a danger to herself than she did the rest of them. He was angry inside that she had done so much harm to the other girls, to his sister, but he also knew somehow that she was still pack. So he kept his calm, for the benefit of them all. It was always easier, if a fight happened, to break it apart, if he remained calm.

Max was not pleased at all with this new pack member, having watched her attack two people he cared about very much. He had felt ready to kill when he heard Felse yelp, but the fact that he had missed, followed by a feeling he'd have also lost his sister, stopped him from climbing up the tree to toss her out of it. He grabbed the backpack and then hooked his fingers under the dead log they had been sitting on and moved both to place them so that when he sat back down on the ground beside Felse, his back against the log, Max could easily see the tree Ghost was in. And he could see her if she decided to make another move of attack, or try to foolishly run back into human hands. This game they appeared to be playing, this waiting game, annoyed him. Reaching out a hand for Felse, Max gently pulled her close to him to hold and make sure that she was safe with him. Something inside was telling him that even though he could see that his sister was hurting, he wasn't the one who could fix it this time. He wasn't even sure he could get her to eat, despite the loud stomach rumbles coming from her direction.

Ghost blinks at their last name, finding it oddly familiar. In the depths of her mind, she could have sworn she's seen werewolves with that same name, but it's been so long ago. I don't normally see a pack without their parents or grandparents... Ghost's internal guilt doesn't get any lighter when Sarah explains why they save her, it was all on her. The way she talks about her sort of obsession with her scent and how she had to find Ghost. Hearing her say these things makes her close her mouth and finally take in her scent. With how bold a gentle scent is, she has no doubt she could find Sarah if she tried. But hearing her explain this sounds all too familiar, something that her family has always warned her about.

This want to be close to a specific person, how their scent drives you crazy and once you invite it in, escaping is impossible. The lightbulb finally blinks in her head as she stares at the woman who's last name means a sliver glisten in a sea of fireflies. Closing her eyes, Ghost has to force back screaming at herself and instead groans. "<I wish I never met my grandmother Rosa>." she mumbles in Italian, her hands slowly making her way to her face as she contemplates what to do. I know werewolves have them but I didn't think mine would come like this, I literally kicked her ribs. How can a werewolf that's so smart be so dumb?

Fesle looks down at her hands, still grazed with her own blood and holds two empty viles. Her wound throbs against the bandages but at least it's not a main artery she hit, so it's not like she's dying or anything. It's just harder to move her neck around due to the electric pain she'll receive from it. When Maxwell moves the log, she wanted to look at him to make sure he's not getting overly upset, but another wince causes her head to start hurting. The only comfort in the pain now is the fact she's back in Maxwell's arms and everything is somewhat calm. Though Fesle refuses to stop watching Sarah, a frown grows on her face at her reaction being less on her body and more what's going on in her heart. It makes her wonder what it would be like if Maxwell decided to just punch her, or shove her away, just the thought brings her head closer to his.

Ghost lays her knuckles under her chin, staring down at Sarah with much disdain on her face. She's making more medicine but her supplies are comedic at best. This girl needs more herbs and plants or else she's not going to have any medicine for herself. If she hadn't given the viles to Fesle she'd feel better, just a tiny bit. But she gave up her own being for another person, like how she risked setting her free. Well she didn't ask for it! But how was she going to escape, all attacks and plans for worthless in the hands of advance technology. She's so tired to people constantly around her, Sarah touching her without permission just set her off. But she didn't deserve to have her ribs brok-

A growl leaves Ghosts grit teeth in annoyance of these many thoughts going through her head and she has to do something about it. She has to help Sarah- just this once. Her legs swing before she falls off the branch and onto the floor. Having done that so much in her life, she doesn't have to stabilize herself and just walks past Lucas as if he was the tree itself. The clothes they gave her are still held tight in her hands.

"Where are you going?" Fesle asks urgently as she can only watch her pass through the trees. "You think being stuck in a jacket for months is good for hygiene? I'm taking a bath in the river nearby." Ghost at first was defensive of the question before calming herself down. "If I'm not back in ten minutes then come find me I guess, unless you guys want to see me naked." Her tone doesn't sound as threatening as her words, she just sounds...drained. The want to have her own space to think, for the first time in months, is so strong right now, and Fesle sees that. She puts a hand on Maxwell and looks at Lucas, "Just leave her be, she'll probably be back." Hoping that he will stay in place, Fesle moves from being beside him to being between his legs. It's slow and stiff movements, but she finally makes it there and grabs his arms so she can be wrapped in them, her back against his chest. "Like she said, ten minutes."

With every minute that passed by, Fesle actually got tense, thinking she actually made a run for it. On the other hand, she wasn't wrong about a river being nearby, they passed one before they made camp. Fesle taps her finger on Maxwell's arm, in sort of a waiting manner before a figure appears into the trees. Though the others might not like it that she's back, Fesle does smile that she kept to her word- before tilting her head in confusion.

Ghost doesn't smell any different than when she left, nothing like river water at all. Her clothes are different because she's changed into the ones Max gave her and in her arms are her clothes. Fesle focuses on the scrub shirt that appears to be filled with something, as if it's like a pillowcase. She watches as Ghost walks up to Sarah toward the side, in the middle of her and the fire. The gaze towards her is less threatening and more of....confusion. It's like she doesn't know why she's doing this as she lowers the stuff scrub shirt in front of Sarah. It unravels to show several herbs and plants of many kinds. The smell overloads Fesle, not seeing so many different medicine plants at once, and she did it in ten minutes.

Scratching the back of her head, Ghost can't look at Sarah anymore because of the guilt eating at her. So, she simply sits beside Sarah and hugs her knees. Half of her face is hidden in her arms as she looks at the fire, her silver eyes seeming to turn orange as the vibrant glow overtakes her orbs. A few seconds goes by as Ghost finally speaks to Sarah, "Sorry." she muffled inaudibly. Fesle watches over the two, "I don't think she heard you." she interrupted, not understanding why she is so focused on getting the peace back. Ghost growls slightly before shutting herself up when she sees Maxwell. The fact that her cheeks are heating up is ridiculous, being this close to her shouldn't have this affect on her, even if she is probably her mate.

"I'm sorry." the words are finally clear from her own lips once she stops hiding her face. "I just...don't like being touched without my consent." her honesty makes Fesle's mouth open. All of that was because we touched her?! Fesle has to take a deep breath, she could have just told them not to touch her instead of biting her neck and kicking Sarah. "If....If you wanted to hold my hand, you should ask." Ghost stutters as she can't convey her emotions without sounding rough around the edges. At this point she feels as though she's talking to a brick wall, but she feels like that a lot with werewolves. At least this girl doesn't appear to know who she is but that won't make her drop her nickname. Until she figures out where she is and what's going on, she won't try next time to retort their kindness...as long as she consents to it. In the midst of her embarrassment and guilt, she finally summons the strength to turn her head and look at Sarah in the eyes. The flames can't block out her crystal blue orbs and for a moment she feels trapped in them.

Lucas looks up when he hears the soft sounds of another language before he's going back to finishing off the bit of deer in his hands. He knows that he can't move from his spot because he's meant to be that guard before he's jumping in surprise as she jumps from the tree with such an ease that he's jealous. He blinks several times, ready to chase after her but he knows the want of a bath before relaxing and nodding as he told to just let her go. He doesn't know why he listens to Felse so easily, but he does and walks back to shift and return to eating the deer. He has one ear turned towards the river, to know if he has to run after Ghost and drag her back. But that never happens and once he's had his fill of the deer he goes to lie beside the fire, stretched out as he listens to the pack.

Max lets out a soft growl when he sees this Ghost jump out of the tree with ease and he was about to move to follow her when Felse tells him to let her go, to just give her the time she asks for. He lets out a soft sigh and nods "Fine. Ten minutes." he agrees, happily letting her move to sit between his legs to press her back to his chest. He wraps his arms around her and holds her close as he presses a kiss to the side of her head. "I'm glad that you're okay." he whispers, more than happy to keep her right there in his arms. He breaths her in and with the way that his brother remains so calm, helps to keep him from reacting too harshly. They're grounding him, knowing his pack is okay, that they're safe from the humans. But he's still very worried about his sister.

Sarah hears Ghost jump from the tree, but she doesn't turn to look at her, using the herbs and ingredients that she had to do in her best to make herself some medicine that she needs. But she can make all that she needs, she can only make one. So that's what she's trying to focus on, her brothers wouldn't make it without her, she knows that much. So, she keeps herself busy and tries not to worry that Ghost might never come back. That thought hurts so she does her best not to think that way, it doesn't matter how far she goes, that she's all the way down by the river because she can still smell her. She knows that she's there and even knows that she's coming back because that scent gets stronger. As does something else, and she turns her attention to her, feeling like her heart skips a beat because she's being given herbs that she couldn't pick from being carried right past them. Herbs, her brothers have no idea she would have needed. Sarah wants to kiss her, but she stops herself and offers a half smile as she pulls them closer to start using them. They'll make the medicines stronger and work much faster.

Max watches as Ghost returns, his eyes fall right to the clothing that she's carrying as he tries to figure out what it is that she has inside. It's a surprise to him when he sees the herbs, arching his eye brows as he watches the interaction while pulling Felse just that little bit closer to him so that he stays calm. "If you want to help, she needs to eat too." he told her, kissing Felse's head because he hadn't even thought to give the nutrient rich parts to his sister. She was helping him take care of the pack and he valued that far more than he was sure anyone realized. "There's deer left if that isn't enough." he adds, wondering if this girl could fit in to their pack. They were only staying there for the night before moving on, they had to move on and keep going so the humans continued not to have a chance at finding them. He'd tell them in the morning, for now they needed the rest. He's also made note not to touch the new pack member to avoid any potential fights.

Sarah lets the medicine boil and looked up at Ghost as she tells her that she didn't like being touched without permission, that if she wanted to do what she had, which had been holding her hand, that she had to ask first. All she had to do was ask first. Biting her bottom lip as she looked at her, Sarah felt a little better somehow, just by having her closer, just by being acknowledged and having her saying sorry. "Thank you." she tells her, looking at her before she's holding out her hand to her silently as blue looks into grey. Her eyes shine just enough, to show she's maybe recovering, just a bit. She still doesn't understand the pull and attraction to this other woman's scent. If Ghost takes her hand, then she's going to hold onto it until she has to let go to keep making the medicines, refilling her long empty viles and to drink some for herself. "No more giving me more work." she says to her, her voice doesn't sound dull but its still heavy with every word. "But the herbs help." she adds, looking back into her eyes.

Fesle rests her hands on his arms, enjoying the warmth he gives off before chuckling. "You do know that I survived by myself this whole time, right?" her tone is playful as her smile grows from this kiss on her head. He keeps getting closer to her face with these kisses. "It's going to take more than today to deter me, I bet I can even outmatch you." She lifts her chin up, the only thing she can do because her neck can't turn to look at him. "I'm the shadow of the forest, mystery of the moon, and the chill down your spine." Speaking with a joking warning, she delicately runs a finger across his hand to emphasize the last part.

"I didn't ask." Ghost immediately responds to Maxwell, staring at him to advice to butt out of their conversation. I'm not stupid Alpha. Knowing that it's also her own fault that Sarah isn't eating, things just seem like it's her own fault before she's even done anything- besides the kicking part. Eyes dart to the meat still left on the ground and by the smell of it she knows that it's not just any part of the deer. It's the part that the Alpha only gets to eat, Fesle brought it to her... Sarah's gazing doesn't help the situation at all. Having her stare right back at her makes Ghost want to be closer to her. And when she lifts her hand up for her to take it, it's extremely hard to resist it.

Ghost's eyes flicker from Sarah to her hand, "Already? Come on- I literally just- why do you-" She can barely speak as her cheeks get hotter by the second. She didn't expect her to ask so soon, at least until the next day dammit. Out of being flustered, she suddenly gets up to grab the meat left in Sarah's previous spot. Dropping it next to Sarah, she plops down on the ground with her legs spread out towards the fire. "I'll hold your hand if you actually eat. You look sickly." If Fesle were to say this, it would sound caring, but with Ghost her tone is like tries to show she cares but instead sounds kind of childish. "I'm not hungry, just eat it already."

Fesle watches their interaction and snuggles closer to Maxwell, as close as she can without hurting herself. Ghost looks into the fire and tries to focus on the smell of burning wood rather than Sarah's scent, it's impossible. Hard to tell if the fire is warming her face or if it's something else, she listens to Sarah as she breaks their silence. When she commented about not being a hassle, she rolls her eyes, "No promises." Eyes roll at the perfect time when they land on Sarah as she thanks her. That sarcastic, standoffish persona slips away as her eyes begin to scatter to several parts of Sarah's body. Her blue eyes, cute nose, strong jawline, plump lips, slender neck- everything about this woman is an art and Ghost can't help but to stare. She's perfect.

Unable to keep an honest, heartfelt composure, she looks away, "So, you're the healer of the pack? Like a Jack." Leaning her head back to look over at Lucas, "What does that make you, the jester?" Then she looks at Maxwell and Fesle, "And the King and Queen." she comments without hesitation. But Fesle furrows her brows at her reference to cards, at least her part in it. I'm really not a queen though... "You guys are certainly a few cards short, I'm surprised that you all survived this long. Well, kind of can guess how." at the last sentence she glances at Sarah. If she's so knowledgeable on medicine then it had to have been through experience. It must be annoying to have to constantly heal others and barely have time for yourself. Once Sarah finishes her food, Ghost looks down at her hand and sighs. A promise is a promise and she grabs Sarah's hand whole. No intertwining or caressing, just a man-handle on her hand as she looks away, irritated at how easily flustered she's acting right now.

"You could take me, huh? You think you could handle all my muscle?" Max asked back in a light and teasing tone right back as he gives Felse a gentle squeeze, tugging her closer to him. They impossibly close together compared to the others, but it feels like an instinct to do so, to keep her very close. He casts a glance towards Ghost, smirking because her snapping at him is followed by how quickly and easily she gets flustered by his sister. He'll let her get away with it, for now. "We still haven't gotten to play our little game." He decided to stay, focused on Felse before Ghost is pulling his attention away. Max practically has his chin on Felse's shoulder as a frown creases his brow. He only has a vague memory of cards, but she was calling him a King, supposedly because he's Alpha, but was Felse the Queen? It felt right, that she should hold the position of being at his side. But was she okay with that, her scent calmed and soothed him, he was driven to be near her when they didn't need to be a apart but... What was he supposed to say? Did they have to say anything to being compared to a deck of cards? He decides to focus on the only thing he can answer. "Our mother and father trained us to survive. We've been without them for eight years, and we'll figure out where they are and prove to them how strong we've been." he says, though he knows what Ghost does. If it hadn't been for Sarah's knowledge in healing, they may have not made it as far or for as long if it hadn't been for them.

Lucas growls softly in warning as he's disrupted from where he had been dozing off, as he's called a jester. Because he remembers that card well and he hadn't ever been one to make too many jokes. But what else can he say to her, Max tells her they don't have their parents and that they're looking for them. He says how long they've been alone. Lucas just gives a huff and snort as he rolls over, putting his back to the fire and his tail giving a hard thump of what seems to be annoyance. "Beta. I'd be Beta." he grumbled, only his hears pointed back towards them to let them know he was still listening.

Sarah smiles as she watches Ghost get flustered over the fact that she had already asked to hold her hand, that she was just sitting there and waiting for her to take it. The way her cheeks flush shows off the delicate look of her high cheek bones, and she adores it. She feels so much better with her sitting close and talking to her. She's about to tell her that she doesn't really have too, when she's presented with the deal and told she looks unwell. Her smile falls away and her shoulders slump as she gives a half hearted glare. With an annoyed huff and a soft growl because she isn't going to just get her way, she says "Fine. I'll eat." she says, expecting to be handed a tender piece of deer meat but is instead given the pieces Felse and Max had brought to her. She gently brushes off the dirt before she starts to eat, as soon as she does, its easy to see that she didn't realize just how hungry she was and she wants more. But she also doesn't want to get up and leave the medicines that she's making.

A calm comes to her and a little more light returns to her eyes as Ghost takes her hand, its not being held in a way she would like, but its enough for now and she gives her it a small squeeze as she uses one hand to carefully start filling viles after dipping her finger in it to make sure its okay, nearly burning it as she did so. Glancing at her, she can't help but smile and her movements aren't as wooden or robotic as she says "You know, you look adorable like that." Sarah couldn't tell you why she said it, but it feels like her heart flutters as she does and she isn't sure why. Was this what Max and Felse were going through? Was this part of what they felt?

"Of course I can," Fesle smirks, "the question is is that can you handle all my human knowledge? No one can drive a bus like I can, only a few scratches will be on it." Apparently that's seen as an accomplishment, but to be fair, she doesn't have a driver's license. In an extremely rare scenario if they had to drive a school bus, Fesle would be that girl to do it...maybe. They better have their seatbelts on is all she will say.

Ghost's snapback makes Fesle wince, thinking Maxwell will sit up and start arguing with her. But thankfully, or maybe it's because she's still on him, he doesn't move an inch- nor a growl! There's a hint of pride in Fesle of the short interaction that didn't go bad because honestly, she doesn't have much energy to try to be the glue right now. Having Maxwell's steady, ongoing beating heart against her makes her thoughts slow down as she simply listens to the world around her. "Hm, our little game, well I don't think I can outrun you now because of this bite, maybe you can count to thirty and I hide." she responds, but her voice gets softer before a yawn leaves her mouth. Now that things are at somewhat a steady pace, Fesle feels her body want to sleep. Another yawn comes out as her head slowly leans back until it's resting on his shoulder, her forehead touching his cheek. She knows she probably needs to move, but she's so exhausted.

"Sure, keep telling yourself that, jester." Ghost responds to Lucas before looking up into the sky in contemplation. "Betas are replaceable, I can probably make a good one." she comments, just trying to get under Lucas' skin at this point. There's this want in her as an Altamura to want to keep everyone on guard of her and to know that anyone's life is replaceable. But as of right now, she feels more...out of place than anything with this pack. Their parents have been gone for years, this Alpha's mate is most likely a city mutt, and they are all clueless to what bonds are. I mean, how can you snuggle so close to someone and be confused to why you're called the Alpha and Alpha's mate of the pack? Were their parents making them live under a rock or something?

Watching everyone with close eyes, Ghost feels the squeeze against her hand and stiffens. This form of contact is so weird and abnormal for her, she's used to hands trying to choke the life out of her rather than holding them. Pretending not to notice the squeeze, she continues to watch her make medicine. It never was her thing but she at least knew what the medicines smell like to have gathered them for Sarah. So, it's interesting to say the least for her to watch how it's done. In those moments, she tries to calm herself down and get back her composure she's always had, the brave, collective type. The one that doesn't hesitate to kill, yeah, that's who Ghost is.

That is, until Sarah comments on how cute she is, then her eyes just widen at her. "What, what are you talking about?" this is so absurd and it even makes Ghost weirded out. Similar to a little girl following her crush around. Her heart was finally at a decent pace and then Sarah had to wreck it so fast. Gritting her teeth, she lets go of Sarah's hand as gets up. She starts collecting leaves, shoving them in what seems to be a pile. The whole time she's ranting in Italian about "f mate bonds", "wish I didn't have a heart", "why couldn't I have been rescued by anyone else" and etc. Her native tongue makes it to where she sounds to be talking a mile a second before shifting back into her wolf form. It looks like she made a sort of bed out of leaves so that she didn't have to sleep on the floor again. Because the last thing she wants to do tonight is hear bugs crawl around her, waking up in dew, and being cold. A thud is sound as her body flops onto the leaves, having her back toward Sarah is a stubborn way. Though the bed isn't far from her, she curls herself up into a ball to try to go back to sleep. Because at this rate, she'd rather be back in that coma than to be humiliated like this.

"Hey..." Sarah lets out a soft sigh as she watched Ghost pull away from her and start to appear to make herself a bed. She could only smile as she watched her, arching a brow as she listened to the rapid talk in another language. She felt elated to watch her as she shifted and flopped down hard to lie on the leaves, and even though she turned her back to her, she wasn't far and couldn't help saying it again. "Still adorable." she told her, though this time in a much softer voice. Her movements weren't robotic as she filled a few viles before she was drinking the rest. Wiping the drops from her chin, she started to make another batch of medicine, the other kind that she had needed but given to Felse. As she was getting started, she picked up a twig to toss at Lucas in an attempt to get his attention. As soon as he turned his head to look at her, she made a gesture towards the deer, asking him to bring her some more.

Lucas growled, in annoyance yet again as she told him that he was replaceable. Technically, they all were except for Sarah. She knew the most about their medicines and without her, they really wouldn't do too well. He decided not to rise to her bait and made himself more comfortable on the ground as he closed his eyes. He was just about asleep when he felt a twig hit his head, and it took him a moment to get up and turn to look at his sister. He rolled his eyes when she gestured at the deer but shifted back to human to get up to his feet to reached out his hand to take the buck knife from Max to cut her some pieces. She was the only one who hadn't really gotten to eat, so he didn't mind taking her some food. Maybe he could finally get his cheek looked at.

Max couldn't help the light hearted laugh that came out of him when Felse told him that she could drive a bus with very few scratches, he couldn't even drive so he just smiled at her "Alright then, if you have too, then that's what you can do. But I think our game is going to have to wait until you're healed." he added, because he didn't want her to have too go and hide. He had to adjust his position when he realized that she was starting to fall asleep on him, so he did his best to make her more comfortable. He was happy to let her sleep on him, pressing a kiss on her head as he did his best to wrap her up in warmth. Watching his siblings, he was happy to offer the buck knife so that his sister could eat more. "I'll stay up, its okay to sleep." he told her softly, set to stay up as long as he needed.

Sarah ate as much of the deer as Lucas was willing to bring her before he was lying down between them, most of what was left was gone before she had enough. She focused back on the medicine and was putting it into small viles before she was drinking the last of it as she had before. They at least had some now if it was needed again, but she hoped it wouldn't be needed any time soon. Reaching out, she gestured for her brother to sit beside her, finally treating to the last of the injuries that they had. She should have saw to him first, before she had started to take care of herself, but he had been wolf again. "No more shifting until you have too." she told him softly, applying the very last of their clean bandages to his face. She's make more cloth ones with the shirt she was wearing once they got to the next small town and were able to get more clothes for themselves.

Their night remained calm as a fire was kept going, none of the triplets slept. Sarah kept herself busy making more medicines, Lucas kept the fire going and burned the clothes that weren't any good as Max kept Felse close while listening carefully for anything going on in the woods around them. Only animal night life was heard at least, so those first morning rays, when he was usually the first up but he didn't say anything and stayed quiet as he waited to know when it was time to go from his pack. They would tell him when to go, he was sure of it.
