Sooooo. I notice a distinct lack of Final Fantasy 7 fandoms(arguably the best in the entire series) or Final Fantasy fandoms in general. Like. C'mon people, one of the most popular games ever!
Anyway. Since my Fairy Tail fandom is going strong I'd like to try my hand at this. This'll be based off of canon, to a degree. I won't be allowing canon characters, but I will be having some of the events from the game happen, it won't be a straight copy paste of the game however. It'll be basically following the same storyline, but from a different perspective.
The Overview:
Gaia, a planet wrought with turmoil and strife. Once rich in nature and relatively peaceful, it is no longer. For the past thirty years the planet has been slowly heading towards its death at the hands of the Shinra Corporation. The cause? Shinra Corporation, or as most view them the worlds government, found out exactly thirty years ago how to harvest Mako Energy. Mako energy is the very life essence of the planet, and partially the essence of every living being.
The purpose? Scientific advancement of course! That, and of course for more money and power. Whether or not they realize they are currently sending the world to its doom is unknown, it is known however they don't care. Several rather extreme enviromentalist groups have began popping up, most notably AVALANCHE. They have made partial progress on slowing the worlds destruction, but there is only so much they can do to help.
Gaia is dying, and at a rapid pace, that much is certain. The Eastern continent where Midgard aka the Capital City of Gaia, is all but devoid of vegetation and animal life in all but a few places, and the destruction is rapidly growing. From there it will envelop the rest of Gaia, and then the planets core will simply overheat and explode. The deadline of Gaia's destruction if nothing is done? Five years.
The question is, will you strive to stop it, or will you protect Shinra Corporations ideals?
