Different earth colonies have different gravities. Therefore, less energy needed and by extension less calories. Zero gravity even more. I’ve been out of gravity a lot.

Lux didn’t care if it was too vague. He didn’t want to reveal a lot.

Smiling at the ghost, Talia shrugged. She pulled her hand back when she realized none of the others would reach for it, and tilted her head to the side. “As long as you don’t take offense to my surprise at you. We’re good!” She said cheerfully.
Kokoro laughed and shrugged it off. "It's getting a little annoying, but hey, can't really be helped." Kokoro responded calmly and aptly dismissed the confusion towards her. Not too long after, everyone was shown to the mess hall, and... "Sweet merciful crap..." Kokoro muttered in surprise and amazement. It was... maybe a bit too big for a mess hall, but damn if it doesn't leave an impression!
Susan nods and quickly goes back to the front of the line to lead them. After a short time of walking, they've walked into the flagship's mess hall.

It was a simple-looking cafeteria with white-tiled floors and standard tables and chairs. Several monitors are attached in the ceiling showing various channels like the news, animated shows, and the weather, although they are at a low volume and subtitles are shown. Far onto the left side of the cafeteria is a large buffet filled with various foods, both familiar and foreign. While it shows healthy food options, like fruit bowls and salads, it provides a whole spectrum of nutritious foods like diced Bovine steak, fried chicken tenders, Zorglin meat bites, et cetera. On the other side is a simple-looking bar run by two Human bartenders. They seem to serve coffee, tea, and alcohol.

"DEAR LORD! How can you afford such luxury!?" Ma'arz asked, amazed by the sight given to him. "The One-Earth Society uses most of its funding on the military... apparently." She responded simply.
Kokoro whistled. "And it shows... Look at this! There's enough space for everyone, and just as much food...!" She said among her amazement - though she can't try anything here, she can't help but think she probably would have liked it if she could.

She would shortly find herself in the corner waiting for everyone to finish like she had stated she would be - waiting for everyone to finish up.

Talia went straight to the coffee, brewing it pure black, of course. She grabbed an apple as well, sitting down near the others and sighing. “Yeah, it’s way better than where I was before. It took me a while to used to it.” She said, in comment to how grand the cafeteria was.

As Kqidons was getting herself a pile of food, Ma'arz stared at the Da'Mapello with curiosity and wonder. Though it came off as creepy, due to his Martian appearance, he was genuinely curious about her species. Up until now, he spent most of his days on Mars studying in the fields of astronomy, biology, and technology; he didn't really get the chance to meet someone of her species in person.

Kokoro remained to herself over in the corner - waiting, watching. The spectre had nothing to occupy her with, so she stayed true to her words instead.
“Yeah, it’s way better than where I was before. It took me a while to used to it.” She said, in comment to how grand the cafeteria was.
Kokoro laughed a little. "What, was it on a budget or something?" She joked curiously. Assuming it was described to be worse, one could only imagine how bad Talia actually says the 'older' mess hall was - the one she had previously put up with before this one.

As the group conversates with the veteran crew woman, Kqidons passes by them, holding a plate full of steak bits, Zorglin meat squares, and vegetables. Exchanging only a glare to Lux, she sits to a table away from them. Adjusting her mask to be loose enough to fit food into her mouth, she begins to grab the food with her grubby hands and eat them. She really didn't care if this was seen as unsanitary from the Humans' viewpoint; this was basic and proper eating etiquette in her homeworld.

Lux heard her coming, and returned the glare at her as she passed. He saw her uncivilized eating, and knew it was her culture, but he could still find it unpleasing to his eyes. So he gave her a small little disgusted glance and slid a cracker under his mask

After a brief few seconds, the Vagrok warrior saw the masked soldier's disgusted look he is giving to her. Absolutely not wanting to deal with him, considering that this showoff was garnering more attention than she was getting, she gives him a cold and piercing glare that could terrify any soldier; it was as if she's saying to him 'quit staring at me or I'll rip your eyes out of your sockets'.

Lux saw her return a glare with a clear hatred in her eyes, and wasn’t intimidated. He turned to face her completely and tossed her a note.

Something you wish to say to me?

Seeing the note being tossed at her, she decided to call off the formalities and confront him directly. She stood from her seat and approach him, holding the crumpled-up note in her fist. "In fact, I do." She said in a cool but furious voice. "It appears that you are garnering more respect and admiration than I am, despite the obvious fact that you are a being of ambiguity." She continues. "I am the offspring of the Ambassador of the Tribal Unity, who is also the founding leader of the United Confederates of the Galaxy. I may be someone to be hated, but... it's better to be known than to stay within the shadows." She seems to be saying to Lux that she is jealous that he is getting more attention than she is, even though practically nothing is known about this man. "Besides... you seem to like to show off with your heavy clothes and concealing masks. I dare say that you are more bark than bite."

Talia stayed quiet as Ma’arz watched her, finding it a bit creepy but shutting up. She watched the tension between Lux and the Vagrok skyrocket. Even as she was making her speech, Talia leaned back in her chair and sipped on her coffee. She had kind of a blank stare on her face, watching Kqidons with an eyebrow raised.

He stood up as well, the two tall figures equal in that regard.

I show nothing off. I boast of nothing. You have delusions of grandeur that perfectly show the Vagrok race. What a great ambassador your father was. A true shame all of that greatness will not be passed on.

He slid the note across the table to have the subtle notion that she must do what he implies to have any sort of standing with him and to understand, she must bow her head.

Talia narrowed her eyes, looking to see if the Cap’n was here. She didn’t care if these were new recruits or not, nothing would go well for any of them if they started a fight.

When she saw Lux sliding the note to her, she grew furious and instantly grabbed him by the collar, with a tight grip. "I'll have you know that I do not tolerate anyone disrespecting me or my father." She snarled with such rage. Before anything else could happen, a heavy sigh was heard near the group.

"Not five minutes in and already a brawl is brewing..." The captain scolded the two. She was holding a plate that has two slices of cheese pizza and a fruit bowl in one hand and a cup of what seems to be steaming tea in the other. "I was hoping that we would all be, at the very least, fairly neutral towards each other, but it seems that I need to make sure that you two don't get yourselves killed on who is more deadlier." She sets down her food and drink, where it was revealed that the tea is made with Zorglin milk; one could tell because the surface of the tea has a beautiful iridescent glow.

Lux quickly wrote a note and tossed it to Susan.

i will die when I have learned all I want it and have documented it. I will not be killed by the likes of this brainless brute who thinks strength is everything.

On the topic. Where is the sparring room? I request this be settled there.

When he finished writing, he grabbed her wrist with his heavily scarred hand, and, with surprising strength, pried her hand away from him. When she looked in his eyes, she saw his purple one had tinges of blood red in it in anger.

Susan swiftly grabbed the note Lux had tossed to her and read it. At the same time, when Lux pried himself out of the Vagrok, she stood back, in a fighting position in case he retaliates. Though she was giving him the usual death glare, she relaxed slightly when she saw his purple eyes now having those... unusual tinges of red in them. She's got a feeling that those eyes of his aren't... organic.

After reading the note, she makes a small defeated sigh. She knew that, chances are, she wouldn't be able to talk them out of a fight and getting themselves hurt. "Follow me." She ordered as she turns around and leaves the cafeteria. Kqidons retracts from her fighting pose and follows her.

Talia stood up as Kqidons grabbed Lux by the collar, and hissed at them both. “Stop it, both of-“ She was cut off as the Cap’n intervened, at which she relaxed. She tensed as the Cap’n said to follow them, and pointed to herself. “Does this include me?”

Lux glared at the Vagrok as he ate his last cracker and left to follow the Captain, and to prove that she is not all she boasts to be.

Talia felt the spoon in her hand bend slightly she was called a ‘rockhead’, but the look on her face was fairly calm. “Scratch that. I’m following you anyways.”

Susan leads Lux, Kqidons, and Talia throughout the hallway. Lux was behind Susan; Kqidons was behind Lux; and Talia was behind Kqidons.

Kqidons was clashing the blades of her gauntlets to sharpen them, like how someone would sharpen their utensils with their knife before eating. If this man thinks that he is truly a force to be reckoned with... oh, ho, ho, ho... she is going to enlighten him.

Lux was fiddling with two of his many engineered plasma blades. He spun them around in his cloak, and was glancing behind him, already profiling her for her strengths, weaknesses, and potential fighting styles. He had killer much bigger and stronger opponents, but he learned never to underestimate someone.

Talia knew she was going to sit down near a corner to watch, wondering who the hell was gonna win. She almost wanted to be fighting them too, but she knew that this was between them right now.

//SoRrY I’m tired. :p

Kokoro would just sigh as the 'fight scene' would kick up enough dust to take everyone out of the room, Kokoro herself vividly disappointed. She shrugged it off and instead vanished from sight, thinking maybe she could find something somewhere - without being seen - to entertain her. Definitely not the fight - that's none of her business, nor is she particularly interested.
