I think it would be cool do what you want, though I feel that would drop a servants ability a bit but whatever

Alright, The whole normal idea, probably isn’t going to work, since the only way my character could keep up is either through strategy or just a lot of guns and tech. Which is two masters already do.

I’m probably going to do the exact opposite and make a traditional mage. Meaning I’m going to have go review the magecraft rules... Great... Props to Natsu for making magecraft feel like something people would have to study for years, but it literally gives me a headache.

DUDE SAME. I literally combed every place of information I could find for spells, development, even a mathmatical formula for how many units of prana a mage can produce so I don't blame you. In fact I feel I may have shot my character in the foot cause he is as new as new can be and I don't know yet how I will develop his magical ability. All I can do is rely on strategies.

Yeah it’s great for world building and immersion, but an absolute nightmare to write, I tend to see a lot of Fate fic get magecraft wrong and I don’t tend to blame them at all.

This is the beginning of a beautiful friendship *cough* or alliance *cough*

Ok, I think I got the magecraft for my character’s Magic crest and their primary method of fighting.

The magecraft within the (TBD Family Name.) is a crude mimicry of a universal solvent. The magecraft works by breaking apart inorganic objects into dust like how running water degrades stone into sand and then sorting the grains and the solidifying the grains creating lumps of pure elements. While the magecraft is primarily non combative, it hides a dangerous combat application as the user can stop it at the first stage and freely control the grains to create dust clouds with enough mass to rip apart flesh and crush bones.

Cool very creative. I feel like it reminds me of some type of magic that already exists that breaks stuff down, but still good on you.

Btw wdinatx wdinatx senpai what did you think of my character?
Sorry I didn't respond earlier, notifications weren't working, but anyway on to my answer... *Puts in effort to read* He's interesting and new (At least to grail wars) but would someone this calculating really join this war on a whim?

I understand what you mean. I basically rationalized it that he's basically untapped potential he can do so much but has no direction to take it in he's desperate for meaning in his life something to use as a reason to go on. That's why despite his mentality he would join so quickly cause this is something new, something different that could give him a reason to truly live. He feels that if nothing else magic, and a wish should be able to do that. My plan is for him to realize his goals and meaning beyond just the wish, for him to realize the wish isn't all there is. So that hopefully by the end he will have found meaning.

btw: if you have seen Code Geass my idea is basically if Lelouch never had Nunnally as a way to motivate himself. If you haven't then he basically challenges the worlds greatest superpower all so he can realize his sisters wish for a better world.
