She mebbe a flowa, but dem thorns r fo reaaal!! 8D

(Continue with the stabby on the Beastloser, Psychie. The GM likes the idea of a dead Beastloser.) =)

I plan on it. We just need to survive this next volley, and hopefully I'll be able to take him out on my last action for the round. Dice gods be with me!

I'm telling you! When you rolled those 5 damage dice and 3 of them came up ones, I just about blew a gasket...

Yeah, me too. I should have toasted him that shot.

Just to check; we are down to our last actions next round, correct?

I'm pretty sure that Mario has only one action left after his dodges earlier in the fight.

Okies. It's the end of the Wild Cards' turn in Action 5 of Round 1. It is now the Zeki's turn. Here's what I have:

Mario has 1 action left out of 8 (he attacked 4 times, dodged 2 times, and shot the wargoth-missile).
Toph has 1 action left out of 7 (she attacked 5 times and tried to shoot down the incoming wargoth-missile).
Elinor has 1 action left out of 6 attacks per round (she attacked 5 times).
Cera is out of actions (intercepted 4 times) and cannot intercept any more wargoth-missiles this round.

So Action #6 is the last Action of Round 1 for the Wild Cards.

I'm still sorting out the scene in my head (it's tricky so I have to be careful). Most of my next post is ready, but not all of it.

After you read in-game, please read this:

Psychie, I hope you don't mind my taking a liberty with your descriptions of Toph's feelings. You are free to use what I have put down there as you will, or you may discard it entirely. As always, your character is yours. I just thought I would add a dangerous element of "Lisara-Meltrandi" into the mix. =)

Cera is indeed out of actions and therefore she can do little more than talk until Round 2 begins.

I will post the combat-related goodies next. I will announce when Action #6 begins (here). Feel free to post your character's feelings as you like. This is roleplaying after all! =)

That's all I can think of for now. I am up past my bedtime. Time for dreamtime! Sleep well when it's your turn, Gang. *hugs* =)

I have no objection to the post you have for Toph, considering that I had already started hinting at her Meltrandi blood coming to the foreground. She will most likely never become the warrior that Taniya wanted to see from her, but it is still there, and it will come forth on occasion.

Taniya, being the long-time Top Gun that she is, is largely set in her Ura-Meltrandi ways. When you have been something like that for so very long, it can be very hard to see outside of what you have made yourself (especially if you're not human but instead came out of a cloning tank).

So I'm of two minds on this.

1. Taniya won't see Toph as a true warrior any more than Toph could accept Taniya, say, becoming a medical doctor without irrefutable supporting evidence.

2. All Taniya wanted to see was that Toph, in some real way, acted like any kind of Meltrandi. I think she is doing so this very moment.

Ever since their first meeting when Toph presented herself as something to be seen in awe, Taniya's attitude, unsurprising at least to me, has been one of challenge. Toph states, "You should be in awe of me!" "Oh yeah?" says Taniya. "Prove it!"

That said, if Taniya were present in this scene with the Beastmaster, I think she would like what she saw. =)

I have a feeling that we will be running into Taniya again, and will be suitably impressed with the claws and teeth coming out of our little doctor.

Quite possible that we will run into her again. We'll have to see how things stack up if and when that happens.

I take that as a compliment when PCs say things like that. When folks are looking forward to the future in one (or both) of my games, it makes me feel warm inside. =)

This is all assuming that we can survive the encounter with the Beastmaster and the dual nukes that are about to go off.

So, how many of the bad guys have actions left to use on us? Just sayin', I wouldn't mind if the Battle Pods are out of actions even if I suspect that the Beastmaster still has an action left.

Heh heh heh heh... Of course, you wouldn't mind but you of all people know that my games don't work like that. So... you'll find out. =)

Hah! No, really. Unlike my previous battles, I've purposely not put that information into this battle, largely because I feel there is no reasonable way your characters would know and I think the PC also not knowing adds tension and uncertainty; those are two ingredients of many a Real Life battle. =)

Heya Gang! Read-up in game and go for the spoiler...

O.K. Sherwood. The five Battle Pods have the following Strike rolls: 13, 15, Natural 20!, 15, and 13. How does Mario choose to defend?

Psychie? The Beastmaster's automatic grenade launcher/cannon has a Strike roll of (yow!) 27! The Wargoth-missile in the air has a Strike roll of 16. Remember that missiles in Robotech: Broadsword cannot be automatically dodged (unless you're in a Logan). How does Toph elect to respond?

Kaerri, no one is firing on Elinor's Valkyrie this round.

Mario will go ahead and try to parry the four shots. Perhaps I'll get lucky enough to roll a natural 20 of my own for my Parry. Here comes my die rolls, and I'll have a IC post in a moment.
