Shikuro Higashi Location bedroom
Shikuro was in the bedroom reading a book she found earlier quietly and She wasn't noticing that Wanda was not in the room, but she then Looked at her tablet Which Pinged a notification and Sighed. she Picked it up looking at it, and Clicked the message Thingy, Which Revealed the name Shinoa hiragi, and the Word Ultimate Reaper, Shikuro Felt a bit Surprised at The word Reaper and got a little scared she then Read the message.

"Hello. My name is Shinoa and we are messaging partners. Nice to meet you." before sending it.

Cater was so focused on his destination, he didn’t take a moment to pay attention to what Marie was saying. Or really what anyone was saying. HE HADN’T USED THE BATHROOM SINCE HE GOT HERE. Wait. Where even was it? He quickly pulled out his phone to check the map and headed to the bathrooms. There didn’t appear to be anyone else there. As much as he loved his friends and parties, he also liked these quiet escapes.

"I will wait here to regroup with Cay-cay."

The voice seemed to be Nana, which meant-

Oh shoot. Partners.

He mentally facepalmed. Not two minutes in to having partners and be ALREADY forgot. He quickly shot a text to Usagi.

went to use the bathroom. completely forgot about partners for a sec lol. we’re supposed to text each other when we go places right? -cay cay

"...Ah. Is he just in one of these stalls? Is that why Nana pulled us here...?"

Marie!

Oh damn. He totally just left her all alone didn’t he? He recalled what he heard as he had left the restaurant. Something about not leaving? And losing his head? Oh. Ohhhh. He mentally facepalmed again. He realized he really shouldn’t make jokes like that, especially around Marie. She doesn’t seem to really understand a lot of the things he says and takes things way too literally.

He laughed out loud as he walked toward the girls. “Ha.. Hahahaha! Oh Mar I’m so sorry. The thing I said about losing my head and the pinky promise? It wasn’t literal. I won’t actually lose my head, I swear. It was more of a figure of speech. I can explain some other time. Pretty adorbs that you pinky promises were so magically though haha!”

She really didn’t want him to leave her side now, which he should have expected. That was on him. He didn’t really expect the whole squad to follow him to the bathroom though. He got to thinking, what would happen when they parted at night? He wasn’t so self absorbed to think she needed him only but, he did seem to make quite the impression on her somehow.

“And I should still apologize for leaving so suddenly. I guess you must not have heard me. But even if you want to follow me to the bathroom I guess that’s fine too haha.” He scratched his head in embarrassment.

They exited the bathroom to meet with Nana, and he brainstormed as they did so.

“But what will we do with you at night huh? It’s not like we’re roommates.”

Before he could get an answer, he was cut off by Nana.

"Guys! I just found a basement with a lot of foods!"

“Ooo food! I’m so hungry I could gobble up-“ he was going to say Marie, and then realized she probably would be very confused and run away. And he did not want that.

“-uhhh a horse.” He finished. It wasn’t particularly clever but it was a cover.

“Ahem! This is an announcement from your host, Monokuma! The time is now 10:00 pm. Nighttime has officially begun. Soon the gate to the restaurant will be closed. Anyone still within must evacuate that area or face punishment! Time for sleep, everybody. Killers, this is your chance to strike. Victims, you have my condolences! Sweet dreams!"

Oh bedtime. Already? It felt like it was just morning!

“I guess food will have to wait until tomorrow, the restaurant is locking up.”

He turned to Marie and extended a hand.

“M’lady, would you like an escort to your room? I can drop you at yours before I head to mine.”

Restaurant --> Room G

Pinkie and Louise's question hung in the air, and it was quite obvious that nobody knew the answer to it. It was understandable, though. To be honest, nobody knew a lot of things that were here. This question about how they would prepare their food would just add to the rest of the mysteries, never going to be answered for a long time. Pinkie Pie didn't mind, though, since she didn't really understand the dangers of having unanswered questions. She simply wondered about if they would cook or prepare foods themselves and then immediately had her short attention-span focus on something else. This something happened to be her tablet this time.

It buzzed awake when a male- Cater- texted them something he announced to them a while ago. Pinkie skimmed through the text, and although others may not have processed the strange slang he was saying, Pinkie understood it quite well. As said before, Pinkie's second language was informal sayings. Quickly after Sophie sent her text back, Pinkie typed the message of:

"okie-dokie-lokie!! u got it, cay cay! NO LAMENESS FOR ME!!!!
- P. Pie"
"Okie-dokie-lokie! You got it, Cay Cay! No lameness for me!"

After sending this, Pinkie then read the message Sophie sent. Pinkie turned her head to Sophie now, chirping, "He's saying that we should meet in the restaurant every morning at eight for breakfast, and if you're not there, you're lame!!" Pinkie herself was confused at some part of the message, though. What did the male mean by "gas" or by "/j"? Was he talking about solids, liquid, and gasses? And was he talking about someone whose name begins with "J"? Since Pinkie was already on her tablet, she navigated to the PROFILE app to see if anyone's name started with "J" but failed to see anyone who did. Who was Cater talking about? Maybe someone from his own universe? After a second of wondering about this, Pinkie simply shrugged it off, not bothering to find out any further. Maybe she could ask him about it later. She had no problem talking to others, anyways.

Pinkie noticed that more and more people were leaving the restaurant area: Atsushi and his partner going towards the rooms, a group following after Cater needing to use the restroom, two others heading towards the cafe, and more. Pinkie, however, was certain to stay by Sophie's side and not follow the people leaving. Even though Pinkie was telling herself that she was having this loyalty for Sophie from the magic of friendship, her not following the others was also influenced by the bits of fear still in her. Pinkie might seem like she's in complete denial, but she still heard everything that was going on.

Still, with all the people leaving, the room seemed to be much emptier. Pinkie was almost grateful that Wanda suddenly started speaking, filling the room with her voice. Pinkie Pie first smiled at the red-cloaked woman, happy to have her friend speaking, but her expression quickly turned into something of confusion and denial. Why was Wanda talking about self-defense and... the killing starting? After Wanda spoke up, Pinkie soon followed with her words of, "Why would we need self-defense, Wanda?" She proceeded making her point by pointing at Frank, who was awkwardly talking to Butters Stotch. "The eagle-man said that people in our worlds are going on with their lives!! That means that they would notice us all missing!" She spun around in a circle, as if empathizing that everyone in the room had people who would notice they were gone. "Even if we lost our magic here, the people from our worlds still have theirs! They will get us out before any of... that... happened!! I'm completely, 1000% positive that's the case!!"

Pinkie now grinned at the woman, filled with hope and trust that they would get out of here. There seemed to be no convincing her that killings might happen. She would only consider that it's happening when it's too late: when either her or someone else dies. This hope seemed to dial down when the monitor on the wall suddenly flashed on, showing the thing that Pinkie most feared here: Monokuma. She yelped out loud when seeing him, shrinking physically as if trying to hide from his image and voice. While Pinkie believed that they would be saved and that killings wouldn't happen, that didn't mean that she forgot the incident of Monokuma blowing up. She still had paranoia of him blowing up in their faces again.

Before Pinkie could freak out about Monokuma talking about punishment for those who would remain in the restaurant, Sophie placed a hand on her shoulder, saying they should get to bed. Pinkie quickly nodded at the statement, not wanting to find out what would happen if they stayed in the area they were at. With wide eyes, Pinkie followed behind Sophie until they arrived in front of their space: Room G. Pinkie followed Sophie inside, closing the door behind them. The last thing she saw of the hallway was the door of the Ultimate Magical Girl and the Ultimate Sarcasm.

While Sophie collapsed on the bed, Pinkie didn't do the same. Instead, Pinkie zoomed over to her side of the room to where her dresser was, opening it up. Pinkie hadn't showered since the day before yesterday, and she was starting to feel... gross, and she usually only felt this way when eating a pink cake with green and black frosting made by a bear. She would usually take a bath every single day (even though a lot of the times, she was forced to because she had a "baking incident"), so she had overall good hygiene. Pinkie wasn't planning to take a shower now, since Sophie wanted to sleep, but she could change her dirty clothes to a clean one silently.

Pinkie smiled at Sophie, although she didn't think she saw it. "Good night! Sleep tight! Don't let the cupcake-bugs bite!!" She turned back to the wardrobe, having a dramatically scrunched up face as she wondered what outfit to wear in here. She wasn't choosing which one looked the most attractive, though, but mainly what she was feeling at the moment. There were duplicates of the outfit she was wearing right now in here, which reminded her of her closet back at home, but there was also another different outfit choice. It was a white-tank top with the balloon symbol on the front that was the same as the one on the bottom of her pink tablet. There was also a pink tutu to go along with it, along with pink and blue sandals, white leggings, and a blue headband. There seemed to be multiple duplicates of this as well, so in the wardrobe, Pinkie had two choices overall. These two outfits were the ones that Pinkie normally wore, which led her to another mystery that probably wouldn't be answered for a while: How did they get these clothes here? She wasn't complaining, though. These were her favorites.

Choosing the white-tank top, the tutu, the headband, the white leggings, and the sandals, she went into the bathroom to change. "Bathroom!" She spoke out loud to signal to Sophie, if she was even awake, that she was going into the bathroom. Pinkie then quickly changed into the different outfit and realizing she hadn't used the restroom in a while, also did that.

1646610273619.png

After washing her hands, Pinkie stepped out of the bathroom, although frowning at her old clothes she now had in her hand. What was she supposed to do with these? She believed she saw on the MAP app that there was a washing machine room. Perhaps that was where they would place their clothes to make them sparkling clean? Even as Pinkie thought about going there, she eyed the door that let them exit their room nervously. As much as she had trust in the others... she still had the fear inside her to go outside during "nighttime". Maybe Monokuma would be out there! Or maybe... no. She couldn't think that. She simply couldn't. After a minute of standing there, she simply threw the dirty clothes on the desk on her side of the room, took off her sandals, and threw herself onto her beige bed. Also, as she had done before, she hugged her tablet with all her might. If anyone were to message her during the night, she would immediately know.

She yawned loudly before snuggling into her covers, hoping to hide from everything. Due to not sleeping the night before, she was exhausted now. She wasn't sure she could sleep again, though. Even though Pinkie had cheered up from all the good news happening today, that didn't mean she immediately became oblivious again. The bombing of Monokuma still affected her. It was still in her. It was the first event of violence that she had ever seen, and she couldn't just forget about it in the blink of an eye. As if on cue, flashes of memories came back to her of what happened. The fear. The despair. The blood. The smell. It was as if she were there again.

As Wanda had done earlier, Pinkie now began shivering in fear. Oh, couldn't she be saved from this hotel/building faster? She just wanted to laugh with her friends back at home again. She wanted to make pranks with Rainbow Dash again. She wanted to visit Fluttershy and her animals again. She wanted to be dramatic with Rarity again. She wanted to bake apple pastries with Applejack again. Hey, she even wanted to hear Twilight Sparkle ramble on and on about why Pinkie Pie shouldn't eat sugary foods every day! She was homesick from not having her best friends near her.

But, for now, all she could do was lie here, awaiting them to come save her.

Shinoa Hiiragi

Location: Bathroom

"Shinoa-chan, can you take care of Marie-chan in there? She might not know how modern toilet work."

Modern toilet... right. Shinoa recalled Marie's interactions with the tablet and if she didn't remember it wrong, her age in the profile was shown as 200+. "Sure thing" She answered Nana who for some reason wanted to stay outside.

"Why are we here?"

When Shinoa heard Marie saying that, she suddenly smirked and was about to answer

"Don't you know, it's because... uh... this is the bathroom and Cater said he'd come here"

Suddenly realized that Nana should be waiting outside and whatever she said here could be heard by that girl, Shinoa stopped herself from pulling a prank on this impressionable girl and gave her an earnest answer. Not gonna lie, someone as naive as this would normally be a premium victim to her, but because she was this innocent that it would piss off someone like Nana so much if Shinoa were to lay a hand on her. And it was as Nana said, Marie really didn't know the concept of public bathroom.

"...Ah. Is he just in one of these stalls? Is that why Nana pulled us here...?"

"Exactly. Also as I said this is the bathroom, so... uh..."

How exactly would she teach someone to use a bathroom!? Shinoa shot a piercing glare to the wall as if hoping it would reach Nana that was waiting outside. Not to mention, Cater should be in one of these stalls too so her choices of word—

"Also, um, it's been bugging me for a little while, but... The soul that rests next to yours... It's very scary, Shinoa. It reminds me of the one who put this hole in my chest."

Without thinking, Shinoa immediately inserted her hand into the pocket, only to be reminded for the second time that her cursed gear is gone. While she didn't understand half of what Marie said, she totally didn't miss what the ultimate decapitator referred to. While Shinoa said or did nothing beyond stiffened a little, the change in her eyes and air around her were so huge that if the person standing there was anyone but Marie then they'd have already assumed their fighting stances. Fortunately, it WAS Marie so shortly after that that girl went back to curiously observing the bathroom as though she hadn't said anything odd. It seemed she didn't even notice the impact of her words on Shinoa either.

"This place is very big... And those objects seem strange, too, don't they?"

Looking at Marie who acted like a little child that couldn't keep her focus on one thing for long, Shinoa told herself there was no way she would say something like that out of ill will. Since Marie herself already acted as if nothing happened, let's just do the same... for now. Shinoa thought about how she couldn't reach her demon partner ever since waking up here but Marie said she could see him. Maybe she would need to ask that girl about it soon, but only when Nana and Cater weren't around. After all, matters regarding Hiiragi's Nanamari was something highly personal to the extent that even her own squad didn't know about it, and she had no reason to let those two know, regardless of how nice or friendly they were.

And didn't Marie said something seem strange? What is it? First time seeing flush toilet or water sink? She walked over and looked at what the girl identified as those objects...

"Yeah... they sure seem strange. How exactly do you use one of these?"

If Cater could be in one of these stalls, then obviously this bathroom was unisex. So of course there would be this one thing that couldn't be found in women's bathroom. It was at this moment that her tablet made a sound and saved her from awkwardness.

"Hello! I'm Shikuro! But you can call me Kuro for short, and i'm glad we're messaging partners! Wanna talk about something?"

Talk about something… about what? Look like she would have to ask Nana for her help later. After meeting Cater, they came out of the bathroom to meet with Nana who just returned from somewhere.

"Guys! I just found a basement with a lot of foods!"

After spending a needless amount of time searching for his partner, Patches eventually gave up and headed back to his room. That was enough of an excuse to abandon the system, was it not? He burst open the door to his room, and assuming that Shinobu was there, he sat on his bed with one leg resting atop the other. "Nice work, Kiss. Showed that cleric his place, you did," he remarked genuinely, "You've got a good head on your shoulders. What sort of strategy are you thinking of?"

"Ahem! This is an announcement from your host, Monokuma! Rise and shine, everyone! It's another gorgeous day for a killing game! So get out there, embrace your homicidal urges, and have a fabulous day!"

This was the announcement that greeted everyone the next morning, a rude awakening that would occur every morning for the duration that everyone was here. The day before, Cater had established that the group meet at 8 in the restaurant, which Clem followed dutifully. Whether everyone else followed through was another question entirely. Regardless, the day that followed was much like the one before. Nothing terrible or horrible happened, which put some on edge but gave a few others hope. Perhaps they really could ride this out and figure out some other way to get out.

Nighttime came once again, but was it as unusual as the previous two nights?

Day Four...

The following morning, Clementine wheeled herself into the restaurant for the second morning restaurant meeting. As she watched everyone come in, she made note of the fact that Trixie was missing, despite the fact she had managed to attend yesterday's meeting. Of course, that girl had kept her distance the last few days, so that was not entirely strange.

Clementine decided to do a headcount beyond her. Who was showing up?

Sophie made her way into the restaurant, scratching her head. "Morning," she said groggily.

Sophie had attended the previous meeting, sticking really good on the headcount thing. Although plagued by nightmares she was still able to sleep.

The nightmares weren't prophetic. On the second night she would dream of the same wall, with the same picture of her mother on the wall. Although next to it was a photo of her father.

On the third night she would dream of a seemingly happy time, her sister Molly’s fifth birthday party, yet it quickly turned sour as her siblings became red outlines of who they once were. Her mother became faceless, and her father’s characteristically large grin turned even larger.

Sophie sat down, looking around and seeing the people gathered. Sophie also noted Trixie's absence, since she was kinda someone hard to NOT notice. Very similar in some ways to Pinkie, yet with an air of arrogance around her.

She didn't comment on it, as she wasn't much of a paranoid person when it came to the killings.

Atsushi had let Shinobu know once they arrived at her room, that he'd be just outside until her roommate came back unless she needed something or wanted to continue venting. Granted who knew how long that would have taken for her roommate to arrive, but if they were partners he'd probably take the task seriously outside of hanging around the likes of most of the group he had been with in the Daycare. He did text Kotomine his whereabouts on occasion if he thought it necessary to do so.

Once the fourth day arrived in this place, Atsushi made his way to the restaurant for the morning meeting. He had went to the previous one as well, as it made as much sense to him why gathering like this would be beneficial for now.

Sitting at the table with Sophie and likely the others he'd come to associate with (and he let Shinobu know she could join them if she wished during things like morning meetings and the like if she even showed up to them), he gave a small nod and a "Good morning." To her as his gaze swept the room. He wanted coffee, but he had been on edge with how nothing seemed to have happened recently. It didn't help that he hadn't slept well since waking in this place.

Days had passed, and if he remembered correctly, they were on number 4 now. In a weird, hollow sense he had gotten used to this place. He and Butters were on friendly terms now-not friendly enough as show him firewood friendly, but close enough. He knew everyone’s names now, more or less.

He had had dreams, but they showed him frustratingly little. Only time glimpse, as if they were being blocked somehow. At least Frank wasn’t standing up on anymore tables.

Waking up near 8, Frank texted Marie and Butters that he was heading downstairs to grab a bite. It had become routine.

Taking the elevator down, Frank gave a slight wave at everyone already there, then looked around for Butters.

Room G --> Restaurant

"Mgh." Pinkie let out a noise of complaint when Monokuma's opening announcement filled her and Sophie's room, waking her up early yet again. Pinkie's night this time had been filled with sleeping in and out of dreams, but that was still a major improvement from her sleepless nights before. It was day four, and Pinkie was still upbeat and going through the days with confidence and hope, although she was a little downtrodden on days one and two. Those were in the past, now, though! Pinkie stretched inside her singular bed, hopping off of it and saying happily, "Good morning, Pinkie!! Good morning, Sophie!! Good morning, universe!!"

Two pairs of dirty clothing seemed to be stacked on Pinkie's desk, and it seemed as though Pinkie had no motivation to do her own chores. She did pass by the washing machine door on day three, but immediately did something else to procrastinate. It wasn't hard to avoid her responsibilities, too, with staying around Sophie as much as possible and texting both of her messaging buddies. Maybe she stayed by Sophie texted her friends a bit too much.

As she had done every morning, though, Pinkie immediately went onto her pink tablet and texted Wanda:

"i awaken from mah deep slumbr, wanda!!!
- P. Pie"
"I awaken from my deep slumber, Wanda!"

She also texted Usagi that morning:

"goooooooood mornign!!!!!
- P. Pie
"Good morning!"

While she was only required to text her buddies at certain times, she had been bombarding them with messages. Every time she entered a new room, she would text them. Every time she ate a different meal or did something new, she would text them. Hey, every single hour she texted them. Every. Single. Thing. Hopefully her message friends didn't get annoyed with her spamming to them, but, hey, it was a constant reminder to them that Pinkie was alive. The only time she forgot to message her buddies was during nighttime, as when she's about to head to bed, she's exhausted and tired from either not getting enough sleep or just from the current day's events. She also forgets if her short attention span went onto something else. Other than that, though, her friends never got a break from her.

Yesterday at Day Three, Pinkie had tried to spend as much time as possible with Sophie and/or other people, and she was determined to do so today as well. Energetic as usual, Pinkie quickly followed after Sophie to the restaurant like she had done yesterday. Even though she had woken up just a while ago, Pinkie seemed as though she had eaten ten packs of sugar, although it wouldn't surprise anyone if she actually did. When Sophie sat down, Pinkie quickly sat down next to her, smiling greatly at her.

"Sophie! I had the craziest dream last night!!" She made wild hand gestures, and her energy would be too much to others who weren't morning people. She didn't message her buddies as well that she had arrived, but she planned to do so after her elaborate story. "Okay, so, I was standing in the middle of nowhere, y'know? And then suddenly, this HUGE- oh, good morning, Atsushi!"

She waved to Atsushi, and then proceeded to tell her dream story. She didn't seem to notice that Trixie wasn't with them, as she was confident they would all be safe. She seemed more concerned with telling the story about what she dreamt last night. "What was I saying? OH, right! I saw this HUGE, and I mean HUGE, cupcake!! It had eyes thiiis big, and it was eating a gingerbread town! I was just standing there, witnessing the whole thing!..."

8:00 AM

Usagi woke with a grimace upon hearing Monokuma’s patronizing daily wake-up call. Another day and night of nervous waiting. Her eyes, normally bright and doe-like, had developed a bit of a grey smudge underneath. Even as mellow as the previous day had been, it didn’t change the mental toll of being in a situation like this. And Usagi, who normally had the exact opposite problem, had struggled not to toss and turn all night in anticipation. Anticipation for what, though, she didn’t know.

Today she was supposed to meet the others for breakfast in the restaurant, like Cater had suggested. Her spirits lifts a bit upon recollection — at the very least, eating and chatting with some of her new friends could help bring a semblance of normalcy to her suddenly upside-down world.

Usagi rolls out of bed and splashes her face over the sink in the bathroom. She catches sight of herself in the mirror by accident; she frowns more deeply this time. Her hair’s looking a bit dull and frizzy without her usual products, and she looks…. tired, to say the least. Beauty sleep was a virtue she had been denied thus far, after all. Still, even knowing everyone else here was in the exact same situation, it gave her a bit of pause when she imagined waking up every day looking worse and worse and less like herself. It made her cringe internally. She herself was the only constant left in her life— surely that couldn’t be taken away from her too, could it?

A lightbulb appears above her head. Oh! After all the terrible events following, she’d forgotten all about the groups’ original investigation in the daycare. Hadn’t she had her eyes on a little plush rabbit there, that she’d hoped to snag for herself? Surely whoever had devised this ‘game’ couldn’t be cross with her if she decided she wanted to seek a little bit of comfort in whatever way she could! A brightness returns to Usagi’s face. Yes, that’s a lovely plan. She rather misses her bedful of stuffies at home, after all. She’ll make a quick dash to the daycare before going to breakfast, quick enough that it’ll be no problem, she won’t have to bother Wanda-san about it to come with her, and she’ll find the little rabbit and hang onto it for…. well, moral support, let’s call it!

Usagi nods to herself in the mirror and smooths down her skirt. Yes. A good plan indeed. Taking action always made her feel better.

Dormitories —> Entrance to Daycare

Pausing just outside the doors to the daycares, Usagi pulls her tablet out of her waistband. She’d nearly forgotten the agreement! Working much more quickly than the day before, she sends two messages.

To: Cater

hi cater!!!! i just wanted to give you a heads up that i’m ok and i’ll be at the restaurant shortly!!!!!! i hope you had a good night’s rest!!

Next…

To: Wanda
wanda-san!!! it’s me, usagi!! i’m going to meet you guys all at the restaurant in just a moment, i have to make a quick little pitstop first and then we can all hang out and eat breakfast together!!

There’s a message from Pinkie, too, and Usagi cheerfully taps out a response.

To: Pinkie Pie

good morning pinkie!!!!!!!!! i hope you had a good night!!!! i’ll come see you at breakfast soon!!!!!!! :>!!

There. That’s done. Usagi breathes a quick sigh of relief, glad she remembered. She tucks the tablet back at her side and opens the door to the daycare centre. She takes a few long strides in, in the direction she knew Pinkie had left the pile of stuffies strewn about. Ooh! Maybe she should bring one back for Pinkie, too! Would it help her feel a bit more comforted at night? She seemed like the type. Speaking of, would Sophie like something like that too? Having something soft to cuddle certainly made Usagi feel less nervous. Wanda-san already had been given one by Pinkie, so Usagi figured she was taken care of in that regard. Unless she should just bring cute things for everyone, maybe…. maybe that was excessive, though. Something for Pinkie, though, at the very least— she knows for sure that Pinkie loves stuffies too, at least! A small smile grazes her lips. Little presents like that will be sure to raise everyone’s spirits!

She hurries to go rummage for her important gatherings. “Little usagi, where are youuu—?” she singsongs. “I’m an Usagi too! That means we gotta stick together, doesn’t it? Ehehe~”

-Louise Worth, The District Attorney -
Louise was out a few minutes early, laying her head against the table. She hadn't gotten any sleep, as expected, and she looked more than drained enough to show for it. No thunder, at least. That meant something, right?

She groggily sent a text to check in. She was so hungry. And so tired...
Next thing she knew, she had dozed off, head resting on the table, face obscured by her mop of dark hair. At least she wasn't snoring.

Kirei Kotomine

Kirei Kotomine was not amused.

He had intended to spend the past few days trying to work a way out of this infernal place, but to little avail, and having to have the girl named Trixie accompany him at all times as much as possible to boot. It wasn't just her overly bubbly personality in particular that grated against him; the man simply felt chained by having to essentially chaperone a child at all times, fitting or disturbing as one might find for a priest. Still, even he understood the necessity for this crude "partner" system, in the interest of preventing a murder, so he did not complain of it. No matter how many times Trixie ended up wandering off while he wasn't looking. That was the hard part.

In regards to his other partner, for every time Atsushi texted him of his own actions, Kotomine responded in kind, though the man was otherwise not a prompt texter, not that he would admit he struggled a bit with this simple piece of technology. He never texted Atsushi of his own accord; every message he sent was always a reply, in other words.

Today however, Kotomine's tolerance for this predicament reached a fever pitch once he had come to realize he was unable to find any sign of Trixie today. It was bothersome, not for her sake of course, but for his own, knowing that it would be so easy for the others to cast suspicion upon him if anything had happened to his dear partner. With each passing minute that Kotomine waited within the cafeteria, idly wondering if the girl might have simply overslept, that idea gradually became less and less feasible.

He sat undisturbed at the table, dark eyes piercing through the air yet looking at nothing in particular. The man was lost in thought, as though in deep focus about something, and not going out of his way to invite conversation. Even so, as he rested his head upon his own palm, his expression darkened after a while before he eventually made a judgment call of his own, a declaration of a premonition in his mind's eye.

"Something is wrong," he merely said, an announcement to everyone and no one in particular. His words were simple yet effective, as though he felt a disturbance in the air.

"The girl named Trixie, my assigned companion. I've not seen her this morning, and it is unlike her to neglect breakfast. I presume nary a soul here might claim to have seen her?"

Ultimate Stratigist

Room B

The previous day was a bit...odd for Claude to say the least. Despite his optimistic attitude, he hadn't bothered to text Menma during the previous day, nor did he really let Louise know where he was either. It was as if, for a bit, he had just ignored everything and did his own thing. He did this from time to time at the monestary, appearing in obscure places usually to seek out intel or knowledge on the current situation or even just to prank some unsuspecting student. He had still been trying to search for clues on any alternate ways out of this killing game. But so far, he has had no luck. It was slow doing sure but Claude was for once losing his typical hopeful self. He found himself actually a little panicked, as if being caught without a cover. Are they really going to have to just play this game...? Is that tuly the only way?
As bleak as the sitiation sounded, he refused to beleive it. There had to be something, anything he was missing. Some clue hiding out there that Monokuma and whoever else was running this twisted game hadn't wanted them to know. They just had to find it. ...Right?

Day 3 had been a difficult sleep for him. He hadn't really spoken to Frank, instead wandering in late and going to sleep. However, sleep didn't come easy. Unlike some others, he wasn't fully reassured by Frank's statement that everything was still going on well in his world. Did Byleth and the others even know he was gone? Were they in a panic? Panic was the last thing he wanted. Afterall, they had just worked so hard for an everlasting peace. Byleth had a lot on her shoulders, being the one to lead Fodlan onward. She would just be distracted if she was panicked about him. Everyone in Fodlan may start losing confidence in her if that happened. Not to mention how it looked. He just came back and then he disappeared again? He had to admit even Byleth probably feels betrayed. As if their comittments may not have meant anything. And what was worse was that he may not even make it out of here. He may never even make it back to give Byleth the future he had promised. Everything may end up collapsing and she never know why or where he had been...

8AM came. The time for the daily breakfast meeting. He supposes he'll owe everyone an explaination for not responding to anything yesterday. He'd best go to the meeting so that they'll have an accueate headcount for the day. Even if he really didn't sleep well. Well, he didn't always sleep well during the war times either. At this point that's what this might as well be, right? But part of him wonders if he can even deal with those circumstances again?
Ugh. His mind was a mess. Maybe he just wasn't awake yet. For now he began making his way toward the resteraunt.

Resteraunt

Claude arrived at the meeting and sat at his usual chair. He wondered if anyone would notice his lack of reports yesterday. He rubbed his eyes a bit, feeling even more not awake since yesterday. Honestly part of him felt like falling asleep right then and there. However, he managed to keep a natural expression. Of what he could see, the others seemed to be okay so far...

...Wait. Where was Trixie?

Claude didn't know anyone well, but from basic guesswork on appearances, he couldn't help but guess that Trixie may be from a similar world as Pinkie was. It was just a haunch. If it wasn't the same one, probably very similar. Their personalities did differ, but it just didn't seem that many of her nature would just up and skip breakfast. Something was definately wrong. Part of him couldn't help but fear the worse. It has been 3 days. Surely their traitor had struck by now. Or even, someone may have broken and just decided to start this game. There was no way that everyone was going to stay here forever. He looked up as Kotomine voiced the obvious problem.

"Nope. I haven't seen her. I mean, I don't know her well but she doesn't seem like she'd just skip breakfast to me either." he inputted. "Maybe she's just late...?"

Even though he highly suspected the worst, he noticed how many reacted poorly to his blunt statement about them finding bodies. He wasn't going to establish friendships of he made others panic and right now cooperation was crucial. So he took it easy just for the moment. He considered texting Trixie himself but he was sure that others have probably attempted by now. In all truth he was also a bit too tired and worn out to look at his device right now. That screen oddly hurt his eyes if he looked at it too long.

Restaurant

Clementine perked up when Kotomine voiced her conclusion that Trixie was missing this morning. They had not been here long enough for one person not showing up to be that unusual, but considering the partner system they had set up, it became notable that Trixie's partner was concerned. Clementine looked around and spotted her own partner, Menma, and let out a sigh of relief.

"She might have slept in," Clementine offered. "I almost slept through this morning's announcement, honestly."

Even as she said it, she knew it was not the best excuse.

"Well, has anyone heard from her? This morning or last night?"

Silence.

It was this moment that a certain bear decided to make his appearance.

M.png

"Ohhh... is someone missing? Or is she sleeping in? I wonder..." The bear put his paws to his mouth and let out a laugh. "Puhuhu, I guess we'll never know for sure..."

If anyone needed confirmation something was wrong, that appeared to be it.

Day-Care Center

Strangely enough, Usagi would also find clothing strewn about the Day-Care Center. Some of it looked cutesy enough to not be entirely out of place, but a shrewd memory would recall there was no clothing to be found in the Day-Care yesterday or the days before.

Strangly enough, Butters was nowhere to be seen, although Frank had managed to convince him to come yesterday. Shrugging to himself, Frank took a lone seat at a table, waiting. Breakfast could wait a bit….

Most everyone seemed to come in, including Butters. Frank was about to make himself some breakfast, when suddenly,
"Something is wrong," he merely said, an announcement to everyone and no one in particular. His words were simple yet effective, as though he felt a disturbance in the air.

"The girl named Trixie, my assigned companion. I've not seen her this morning, and it is unlike her to neglect breakfast. I presume nary a soul here might claim to have seen her?"
Shaking his head to say no, Frank wasn’t that worried. She probably slept in or something. Everyone seems to be on edge though. His stomach gave a rumble, however. He was about to finally get some breakfast, when Monokuma popped up once again. Muttering a Latin curse under his breath, Frank listened to what the bear had to say.

"Ohhh... is someone missing? Or is she sleeping in? I wonder..." The bear put his paws to his mouth and let out a laugh. "Puhuhu, I guess we'll never know for sure..."

If anyone needed confirmation something was wrong, that appeared to be it.
Now a growing sense on unease joined the noises in his stomach. Was she…. No. Frank couldn’t think about that. Grabbing Butters by the arm, Frank practically dragged him over to the elevator, where he made a beeline towards Trixies room. He didn’t check or care if anyone followed him. If anything had happened…

Did they already have a dead body?

Nana didn’t say anything when Monokuma suddenly appeared and yelled at Shinoa. However, her teal eyes gazed at where the bear appeared from and then the wall and ceiling around them before reaching a single word in her mind. Bug. There was no point in thinking whether they were hidden somewhere far from the cameras or the cameras themselves could transmit sound, the only thing that mattered was Monokuma could hear them.

And yet he didn’t stop her at the gift shop? Despite Nana’s best effort to avoid being caught by the cameras, she inevitably made some noise when entered and left that place as well as when she was looting. Thinking about those merchandises, while they seemed like a bunch of common office items or useless gifts that served no purpose but to be displayed, the girl already had idea on how to weaponize all of them, maybe except for that single deck of card.

Still, she could freely assemble her weapon pieces while Shinoa simply entering the restricted part was not allowed. Could it be… they could do anything so long as it’s not breaking the rules showed back then? With all those analysis perfectly covered by her affable upfront, the ultimate class leader obediently bowed to Monokuma.

Understood.

After saying that in her usual cheerful tone, Nana started strolling toward the elevator. As she walked toward Monokuma who was in her way, the girl felt a surge of anger to the extent that she had to suppress it with immense willpower or she would definitely let out some unwanted expression. Killing those enemies of humanity who pose a threat to mankind is one thing, but being forced to kill innocent people to entertain some psychopaths is just painfully unbearable. The moment she walked past the bear, the normally bubbly and cheerful girl uncontrollably sent out a bone-chilling aura in the atmosphere. Her eyes filled with nothing but rage and hatred. That murderous air lasted for a mere second and soon vanished without any trace when the girl turned back to her roommate and the other two that were following behind.

srMa54F.jpg

Come on guys, let’s rest for now. Tomorrow we are gonna make that kitchen run out of stuff!

The next day, as per Nana's and Cater's conclusion, they would meet up before heading to the restaurant in a group of four. The ultimate class leader also kept her word as she led the group into the kitchen she discovered earlier and let them had their way. After that, they would come to her and Shinoa's room. By having all 4 of them sticking together all day like this, it would make killing one of them become much harder, if not outright impossible. In addition, if there was actually a murder then all of them would always have alibi.

After inviting Cater and Marie to their room, a deck of card was presented to their guests. Considering Cater's name, it wouldn't be a surprise if she get the most reaction from him. They would start with some simple game like Old Maid to not exclude Marie, but over time they moved to some more intense games and the poor innocent girl was reduced to a mere observer. Nana glanced at Cater. There seemed to be something going on between him and cards. At the very least, something beyond just it being his favorite game. And then there was her roommate. The teal eyes landed at Shinoa, who didn't seem to be familiar with the rules of most of the game being played but was surprisingly fast to grasp their concept. She was definitely a talented player well deserving of that "strategic" trait. Unfortunately, her opponent was Nana who read people like a picture book and was too competitive to fake her defeat if it wouldn't benefit her in some way.

After some time passed. Nana gave Marie a considering look.

"Um, I think I'll go get some more games that Marie-chan can play with us! What's with that look!? Do you really think I need to flee to keep my winstreak!? Also it will be quick so you don't have to come with me."

Nana fervently said that with most of it directed at Shinoa. She then left the room by herself, her action and movement filled with energy to the point that no one in that room could have stopped her. Sometimes later, she would come back to the room with a handful of board games. While they all have that bear face (or in some case, his entire body) printed or included in them, they were still games nonetheless.

After spending the rest of the day playing games, eating stuffs taken from the kitchen, chatting, laughing and teasing each other (with Nana protected Marie from Shinoa more than once), it was finally another nighttime. Having escorted both Marie and Cater to their rooms, the pink and purple girl walked back to theirs together.

"It was fun, wasn't it?"

"Yeah..."

MDE0p5Y.jpg

While her tone of that single word was the usual merry and cheerful one, it had a hint of sincerity that was rarely found in her voice. Of course, Shinoa couldn't have noticed it if she wasn't aware that Nana was always faking her bubbly and friendly personality. Plus, there was a very high chance that she would be teased for answering it that way. Still, the ultimate class leader couldn't deny it. Before being taken here, she was surrounded by enemies of humanity and genuinely befriending someone was something she strictly forbade herself. At this place where, as far as she knew, everyone was but a victim without any guilt, she could finally lift that restriction and so this was the result. It could be said that today was the first time she had this sort of experience. Maybe, just maybe, if things continued like this then it wouldn't be so bad...

Day Four...

srMa54F.jpg

Like yesterday, the four met up before heading to the restaurant together. "(‐^▽^‐)Good morning Mono-san! (*^▽^)/Did you sleep well? (*¬*)" Nana skillfully typed her routine message and sent it to Mono just before the group reached the restaurant.

"Good morning everyone!" Nana's enthusiastic voice acted as a fanfare that announced the group's arrival. The pink girl then waved at Clem and was about to greet her personally when she noticed the ultimate survivalist's face

Something's off, was what Nana's trusted intuition told her. She immediately rushed to Clem and opened her mouth "What's going—"

It was this moment that a certain bear decided to make his appearance.

Someone missing... Could it be... As Monokuma finished his dialogue, Nana took a deep breath before she stole the spotlight back from the bear.

"Um... everyone! While I think that nothing bad is happening and he was just spitting nonsense, can I ask you all a favor? Please text your messaging partner and ask for their reply immediately! Do it with your physical partner too if they are not here with you!"

Naturally, the four of them arrived at the restaurant a bit late so Nana didn't hear anything about the topic being discussed earlier and she had to deal with the situation with limited knowledge...

She waved a small wave at Atsushi, listening to Pinkie's dream with attention. It's only been four days and Sophie feels like she knew everyone she was close to forever.

Her attention diverted, however, when Kotomine showed concern over Trixie's disappearance, and the discussion that erupted over it.

"Listen, Pinkie," Sophie said, "I… really don't mean to be rude but… there's something happening…"

Since everyone more or less sat in their same seats, Sophie guided Pinkie's vision to the empty seat where Trixie sat.

"The girl who sat in that seat went missing," Sophie said, "Even her partner doesn't know where she i-"

Then… in came Monokuma…

"Ohhh... is someone missing? Or is she sleeping in? I wonder... Puhuhu, I guess we'll never know for sure..."

"…holy shit…"

Sophie got up from her seat, holding her hands over her mouth as if she was about to puke. Her eyes were shrunken, and she was sweating like hell, pale as a sheet.

"Holy fuck… oh god… oh god it happened…"

She collapsed on the ground, looking sick, before hastily bolting off to the south washroom. She needed to get away from everything.

Trixie and Sunset's Room

As Frank would discover, Sunset was just fine. Trixie, however, was nowhere to be seen. She was not in her room, nor was she in the hotel at all. There was also no trace of her to be found or indication of foul play in or around her room.

Unfortunately for Sophie, who just wanted to get away, there seemed to be a trace amount of blood in one of the sinks.

Pinkie had not yet finished her story about her dream when something changed inside the room. The vibe in the air suddenly turned into one filled with worry when it used to be filled with happy chatter. Pinkie looked at the priest-man when he expressed his concern for Trixie not being in the room, leaving Pinkie's expression to turn to surprise. Trixie wasn't here? Pinkie only seemed to now acknowledge this fact, looking around the room in curiosity to see if this was true. Kotomine was right about Trixie not being here, but there was no need for concern! It was as Claude soon said afterward: she could just be late! Maybe she just wasn't hungry for breakfast, so she just didn't show up! Pinkie wouldn't understand anyone who would skip out on a sugary breakfast, but maybe

She nodded at Claude's and Clementine's hopeful comments, saying, "Maybe she's busy!! She could just be doing a quick errand run!!" Pinkie could sense everyone's senses building up, and hoping to make the ideas they were having deescalate, she tried to make up excuses for Trixie's absence. Trixie could be gone for a majority of reasons! She was safe and healthy! She WAS.

Her ideas were quickly shot down, though, when Clementine asked if anyone had heard of Trixie recently. Pinkie looked at everyone expectantly, seeing who did, but it was all silence. Pinkie could hear metaphorical cricket noises in her head, which right now she did not want to hear. For the few moments of silence, Pinkie seemed to get more and more confused. Surely someone had to have heard from Trixie. Maybe her roommate, Sunset Shimmer?

Her hope was interrupted by the realism of Sophie, though, as she was persuading her that something really was happening. Pinkie listened to her, but then desperately shook her head, smiling at her physical partner. "Trixie is the Ultimate Magician!! She must... she must be doing a disappearing act! Mhm, m-"

Pinkie was interrupted from her arguing by a voice that suddenly spoke up. She turned her face towards them but squeaked in fear when she saw the one who was speaking. Their "host", Monokuma, was standing there, cackling evilly to himself. Why was he here? What was he going to do this time? Pinkie ducked underneath the table she was sitting at, as if preparing for another bomb to explode. As she had said before, never trust a talking bear. It was only after Monokuma stopped giving his little hint of bad news that Pinkie's curly head popped back up, seeing the eagle-man run out of the room with Butters Stotch. Were they going to check on Trixie? They didn't need to worry, though! Trixie was fine! She was fine.

If Monokuma wasn't enough for her, suddenly, Pinkie's Pinkie Sense came back up. As she had described to Faust earlier, her Pinkie Sense was an abnormal power of hers that predicted the near future through physical signs in her body. Pinkie had mentioned to the Ultimate Doctor earlier that when she had a pinchy knee, something scary was about to happen, and it was the same case right now. The moment the pinchiness came onto her right knee, a sense of dread came onto Pinkie. What was the scary thing about to happen? What was happening?

She listened to the pink-haired girl when she asked them all to message their partners. She swiftly brought out her bright pink tablet, following the order just given to her., When opening up her MESSAGE app, she quickly made a message to Wanda first, as that was her official message partner. Even if Wanda was sitting with her currently, she was taking Nana's request quite seriously.

"waanda!! reply qucik!!!!
- P. Pie"
"Wanda! Reply quick!"

She then decided to message her second, unofficial message partner. Pinkie's pinchy knee was a sign that something scary was about to happen, and since Usagi wasn't here... no. The scary thing that could potentially happen could be something not too scary, like a big bee coming into the room! Still, Pinkie messaged Usagi urgently:

"usaig, wh=ere are you?
- P. Pie"
"Usagi, where are you?"

Since the eagle-man had also gone away- most likely to Trixie's room to see if she was in her room, which she WAS, since she was SAFE- Pinkie also messaged him. Pressing Frank's profile, she hoped that he would check his device and reply to her soon.

"hi, this is pinkie!!!! are you goign to trixei's room? is she in there???
- P. Pie"
"Hi, this is Pinkie! Are you going to Trixie's room? Is she in there?"

She stopped staring at her tablet, though, when Sophie started sweating and collapsed on the ground. Pinkie ignored the pinching in her knee and kneeled down next to Sophie, looking over her worriedly. "Sophie, what's- hey, wait!!"

Sophie had bolted towards the bathrooms, and Pinkie, of course, was going to follow her for support. She, again, got reminded of her first meeting with Sophie, where the girl bolted out of their room when it unlocked quickly. If only that was the same case here. She looked at the people she was sitting with nervously before sprinting after her friend, entering the south washroom after her.

"Sophie!! What's wrong, what's wrong?"

Pinkie's attention went away from Sophie, though, when she smelled it. The familiar, dreadful scent: blood. Her mind immediately went back to Monokuma's bomb, to the blood, to the horror. Her frightful eyes slowly went over to the sink, and it was as if Pinkie's hope was dispersing at the minute, Pinkie had come into the bathroom to cheer up Sophie, but Pinkie felt as though she would do the opposite now.

Pinkie let out a screech, which wouldn't have helped Sophie calm down, with Pinkie's face turning into a ghastly shade of white. She stared at the sink, covering her mouth in horror. This was all too much... everything here was too much! Gosh, if she was this terrified from blood, how would she react from seeing a body?

Monokuma's words were all that the archer needed to hear. Anything where he had imput on meant that the worst has probably happened. Somehow he wouldn't be surprised if that psychotic bear hadn't seen the murder happen himself. Yes. Murder. There was no doubt aboit it. Trixie was pretty much positively dead. There was no going around it. The first murder had been committed. He couldn't save everyone...

As he watched Sophie and Pinkie leave, he couldn't bring himself to move. He gripped one hand on the table, trying his best to remain calm. But when you were sleep deprived and stressed for days on end that was harder than it looks. Yet he seemed to be managing. Well. The best he could anyway.
Now was no time to run and panic. If someone was already dead then they had to put their heads together and start looking for clues. However, given there was a murderer amongst them, he didn't feel comfortable straying anywhere without his physical partner.

"Louise?" he asked her slowly, trying not to let his emotional state show. "I think we need to get investigating on this. There's no doubt we've got a body out there. You have any suggestions of good places to search first?"

Clementine's partners were in the restaurant so she felt no need to reach out to them. or at least, they were until Sophie made a run for it. Clementine made a note to check on her later. "Come on," she said, moving toward the exit of the restaurant. "We have to look for her!"

At the gate, she suddenly stopped. "Can someone review the partner list in the cafe? We need to make sure we're all on the same page. I'll check the office and gym!"
