Darcey Hargraves & Alex King
Bruce had asked Billy for his opinion first, causing Alex to start fidgeting in his seat. He had so much he wanted to say, so many words he wanted to use but he knew better than to interrupt. Darcey's speech about May and giving her a chance had only fueled his desire to speak up so much more. However, he knew better than to start on one of his tangents again - at least, before it was his turn. Instead, he looked to Spencer to try and see if he could gauge what his reaction to the news had been. Unfortunately, his brother's face had been a bit unreadable at the moment - as in, he couldn't tell if he was annoyed because of the situation or because he was still pissed off with Bruce. Either way, he shook his head and turned to Billy. Darcey's speech seemed to resonate within Billy for a moment before he was finally able to give his own thoughts about the situation. ~London~
Darcey Hargraves & Alex King
Billy seemed to be on the same page as Darcey, who had been nodding along to everything Billy was saying. So far, that was one person on her side. Alex, on the other hand, had shaken his head once more in disagreement. Something in him wasn't sitting with the idea of the two of them spending time together. What if she started spilling what she knew about their family to Trevor? Giving him advice and such? Granted, he was sure whatever the girl knew about them had only been what they allowed her to know and public knowledge, but still. The simple fact that it was a possibility was enough for Alex to dislike the idea. He didn't want Trevor or May around but to send them away together? That was a situation he couldn't control and therefore didn't like. Thinking that Billy's words had been final, Alex opened his mouth to respond when Billy spoke up once more.
Bruce regained control, asking Billy if sending them away was his final answer. Darcey made eye contact with Bruce and simply raised her brows in amusement before downing the last of her glass. It was then Alex's turn to speak and Darcey rolled her eyes. Alex looked between his brothers, Bruce, and Darcey - catching her eye roll but ignoring it - and looked down at his hands. He knew exactly what he wanted to say just a second ago, but that was the part of him just speaking. He knew that he should be making an informed decision and not thinking with his emotions, but it was difficult not to. "Leaving the two of them alone is just... Doesn't sound good. Too many what-ifs and it makes me uncomfortable, he said, shifting dramatically in his seat. "If we choose not to tell her there's always a chance they could bump into each other. The asshole seems to be in the right places at the right moments these days." He paused, rubbing his chin in thought.
As much as Alex disliked both his father and May, he couldn't help but feel a bit... Jealous at the idea of sending her away with him. She would get the so-called 'better bits' of him that he and the others weren't privy to? What kind of bullshit was that? However, if Trevor was still the same piece of shit Alex knew him to be then better it be May that ends up hurt than Harper. Clearing his throat and shoving his feelings aside, he looked up to Bruce. "As much as I hate all these ideas, I think I agree. Sending them away together is... The best option. I mean, killing them would be nice, but we can't just go around killing people we don't like so..."
