Makes a bit more sense now, though..if it was before the skip why would Nic feel guilty for abandoning Anna and eventually give into said guilt if it was before they got to the town? Wouldn't Anna of followed her to the town? Or?

Well actually I was pretty damn confused as well. I think anyone involved in the skip forwards should sit tight (not post) and everybody else carry on travelling until we catch up to their timeline. Basically, we 'catch up' (time-wise) to Nic, Anna and Celia and act as if they travelled with us all along. I probably haven't explained that very well.
