Fallout based Nationbuilding

ok, the Legion is weak, the NCR is weak. Sorta to prevent an instant clobbering of NV, but also cause they both kinda need NV to survive. Remember, the legion is kinda crumbling, as part of their number of problems. Even with my 6% rule, it doesnt make sense that after butchering an undisclosed number of tribes, and losing hoover dam twice that the legion, during a collapse of moral as would happen if caesar died but expectially if lanius did as well, followed by reconstruction that honestly could only be achieved with more killing

Well, clearly curier is neutral with them by what happend in Nipton.

It was clearly agreed on.

Anyhows, I drew the short end of the stick by having a GM that picks for a 99% NCR / 1% legion mission quest.

So I guess I'll not join the game, as it would be just a heard of scavanging hillbilly's without ceasar or their general, and no trained troops.

Caesar recovered from the First Battle of Hoover Dam in four years. Might take a little longer for you, but you have 13 years from the Second Battle of Hoover Dam to regain your strength and then some.

Maybe be lupius?

Nah, making a Original tribe is even easyer.

I liked the fact curier -could- support legion, and I think, as ceasar is also well informed about curiers actions, most of this was obvious.

To state a fact, I play'd on NCR side, yet stay'd neutral with legion, and rescieved the plat chip and benny from them, then releasing benny, and going back my way.

House i only took out his freezer, yet kept him alive.

So you want to make an original faction from the remains of the Legion? We could have it that, after the Second Battle of Hoover Dam, the Legion broke into a number of warring states with former Centurions becoming warlords of little fiefdoms, where your new faction then comes in and starts conquering everything.

So I guess I'll choose. If Creative still wantd to be legion, then sure, Lanius can live only because wothout him, the legion would most certainly crumble

LANIVS wouldn't be that good of a leader though, he would just turn the Legion into even more of a rogue army.

Other leaders like Vulpes Inculta would be much better in the long run.

Vulpes is a spy though. The Legion probably hates the fact they need him.

Tru, but lanius is someone who could  hold the legion together out of fear, so his existance could be benefitial in reestablishing the legion. Maybe not the leader, but still useful in the short run

Like Caesar's bodyguard, Lucius, would be perfect. He's been watching Caesar run the empire for quite a while.

Lanius would've failed though. He wouldn't live up to the example he demands of his troops.

He's also led men in battles and has assimilated tribes for the Legion. He isn't just a spy.

But he uses deceit and trickery. Which the Legion doesn't especially like I bet. They prefer to win with brute strength.

Like I said though, he isnt actually the leader, he's must the right hand man, or the 'enforcer', ensuring the legion sticks together and he buys time for the new leader to brainwash the legion again.

And isn't Lucius better? He watches Caesar at work, he isn't like Vulpes who always goes out into the field.

The average member would still be off conquering. Even Caesar himself saw Vulpes' potential and promoted him.

Caesar's Legion isn't like the Great Khans. The Second Battle of Hoover Dam would prove them wrong once again, and then, back home, a few tribes, if not all, would revolt. That would corrupt what Caesar has carefully cultivated. If someone just takes power because they can, rather than being given it, that'll make the slave society of the Legion collapse.

Which is why he should become Emperor while Vulpes and Lanius become Frumentarius Maximus and Legatus Maximus respectively.

You guys philosophize hos my faction looks like, let me know afterwards!

We're done. The Legion is a radical Communistic Republic focused on advancing their social policies and establishing peace in the wasteland.

I think the legion should be an anarcho-syndicalistic community that won't just do what some self proclaimed king tells them.

Anyways, I'll work out some more information that I can give you about the Commonwealth Brotherhood later.

Meanwhile I will be establishing a Children of Atom-based theocratic death cult in Cleveland. Let say I have a population of 0.9 million but almost anyone will fight because of the belief in Atom. From men, women and children, using everything they got, they will fight for the state. And because I am playing as the Children of Atom, can I have two Hiroshima Nuclear war-heads? Problem is that we don't really have a propulsion system for launching them. About 1/8 of the population are ghouls and they practically have equal rights towards humans but any heathens will have to be stamped out.

Sounds pretty cool to me, but I think you would be fairly underarmed and have next to no trade.

And your diplomatic relations will be horrible as well, right?
