She nodded and kissed her head, holding her close. “I missed her too…. I’m liking the uh the teddy bear belt.” She smiked. She assumed it had been a hassle getting her out the door again so that was why moah was carrying four of her favorite teddies.

He smiled and nodded. “I hope so…. He should be calming down but if not you can come hang at mine.” He told her. “I’ll see you guys later.” He told hee yawning a little and leaving to go home

Noah gave a small laugh as he looked at the teddies that were snug to his torso "Yeah she was being a bit difficult and made me grab each one." He said smiling as Eden started babbling back at him "Hey! Don't back talk to me missy ma'am." He said in a joking tone.

Max gave him a small nod and sighed heavily. She went up to the room and knocked on their door "Rick? Babe whats wrong?" She asked in a gentle voice.

She smiled and smoothed her hair back. “We gotta teach daddy how to do good hairstyles for you huh?” She murmured, “I’ve emailed you the daycare list.” She told him, sitting up carefully and taking the clothes from him to get changed.

He sighed heavily and shook his head. “I’m fine. I’m just tryna take a nap.” He muttered, laying an arm across his face.

Noah nodded some and helped her get dressed when she needed it "I'll make sure to look each of them over. I want you to talk to me later okay? When you're ready." He murmured before kissing her gently

Max gave a heavy sigh and left him alone after that. She was growing more concerned about him by the day. Normally he would have been all over her when he got home, not just in bed, but he'd want her close by. Now, it seemed like he wanted her nowhere near him.

She sighed a little and just looked at Eden instead. “When are you back in the studio?” She asked him yawning a little while she signed her discharge papers and lifted Eden, kissing her head while they headed out to the car.

It was a week later that they had called him to go in for the results and after a lot of arguing he’d managed to convince max that he couldn’t make the baby appointment cause he had to go to work, instead ending up at the same hospital as her but in different departments, waiting nervously til they called him through and he took a seat. “What’s the verdict?” He asked, tapping his foot anxiously

Noah frowned at how she dodged his statement "Two weeks, I'll work on some stuff from home but after that I'll be in the actual studio." He said softly before grabbing Eden so she could sign her papers easier. By the time the next week rolled around he was growing worried about her. She'd gone quiet , only talking to him when it came to Eden and that was it. He was sat in their room with her while Eden napped watching as she played her games on the TV "You feeling okay?"

Max sat at the hospital annoyed beyond belief. They'd been arguing so much the past week and she just wanted him to come out with whatever was wrong, because she knew it was something. She was also upset at the fact that he had pushed off her appointment as well when he had promised to be there.

The doctor looked over his chart and gave a heavy sigh "It looks like you're body is starting to reject the transplant. We're going to do everything we can to reverse it, but if we can't you'll need another immediately." He explained

She nodded and leaned into him a little more. “You get a chance to look over the demos I sent you yet?” She asked. They’d worked through a proper contract with her label this time and he was down as her official producer. She had been avoiding all ways of dealing with things though and just trying to distract herself as much as possible.

He nodded and sighed heavily, taking the prescription and making a follow up appointment for a months time, heading out of there to go get it filled, not paying much attention to anything else on his way out until he felt someone grab his arm and he turned to see max stood there looking pissed.

Noah nodded a bit and sighed quietly "Yeah I did, they sound real good. I'm gonna start work on them soon and I want you there with me to see how you like it." He said softly

Max was walking out of her appointment when she saw him walking down the hallway towards the elevator "Ricky?!" She said but frowned when he didn't respond. She got over to him quickly and grabbed at his arm "What the hell are you doing here?! You said you had work!"

Carmen nodded, resting her head against his chest and just listening to his heartbeat while she played Stardew Valley, frowning when she felt him turn her head “Babe I’m tryna do something.” She mumbled but looked up at him anyway.

He just stared at her like a rabbit in the headlights for a minute. “I uh… I… it’s not… how did your appointment go?” He asked, not sure what else to tell her right now, just scared to admit out loud to her what was happening because he didn’t want her to have to deal with it anymore.

Noah frowned deeply and made her look at him "Talk to me, baby please. You're scaring me." He murmured to her just wanting her to be okay.

Max frowned deeply still glaring at him "Fine, I'm doing fine and the baby's heart beat is great." She said in a sharp tone "Why are you here?"

He frowned and looked around not liking that a few people were watching them, “that’s good. Really good… I …. Can we do this at home?” He muttered but frowned when she snatched the prescription out of his hand. “Max i-“ he sighed heavily and at least moved hee over to the side of the hallway. “I was trying to sort this out without having you worry about me.” He muttered.

She frowned and shook her head. “I don’t know why, I’m fine.” She told him, looking back at the tvv “I’m just tired.” She mumbled, running a hand through her hair.

Max frowned deeply as she looked over the perscription "So you thought pushing me away and not telling me anything would be better?" She asked before taking a deep breath trying to keep herself together but with how bad her hormones were tears still started falling "I'll see you at home.." she muttered before going to leave not wanting to look at him by that point.

Noah frowned deeper "No you're not, remember what you told me when it happened? That I needed to talk before I closed in on myself." He said quietly just watching her a bit.

“Babe I need the….” He sighed as he watched her walk off still holding onto his prescription, going towards the car park and drove home, sighing as he walked inside and found her staring at him angry still. “Can I have my paper please? We can get in the car and talk on the way to CVS.” He suggested.

She paused the game and rolled over to face him, moving to straddle his hips, kissing him a little hungry. “I’m fine. Now while she’s sleeping love me.” She told him, trying to distract him from having the conversation

Max looked up at him when he finally got home and frowned deeply "I already dropped it off. It'll be ready in an hour." She muttered turning her attention back to the TV unable to look at him fully right now without sobbing.

Noah frowned deeply and shook his head some "Carmen please....I don't want to loose you." He murmured as she trailed kisses on his neck.

She frowned and shook her head. “You’re not going to.” She murmured, sliding her hands up under his shirt just to feel closer to him. “I’m fine. Promise.” She murmured.

He sighed heavily and shook his head, eventually going and kneeling in front of her, taking her hands in his “You don’t gotta look at me just listen…. I’m sorry. I wasn’t trying to hurt you. In fact it was the ppposite. But clearly that has backfired. So I’m sorry. Because I love you and I just want you to be happy and stress free, especially carrying our little one alright? I love you.”

Max sniffled a bit and wiped her eyes before looking at him "I know you meant well, but I've been so scared and worried that I was loosing you because of the baby." She whispered before wrapping her arms around his neck "Please don't ever keep something like this from me again." She murmured.

Noah sighed softly but gave a small nod and left it at that. Nothing seemed to get better after that though. Two years had passed and they were as far apart as ever in their relationship. He was so tired as of late because of the fighting they'd been going through. He was on tour in Europe and right now getting ready for a meet and greet when his phone rang "Hey babe whats up?" He asked Carmen hoping for once this phone call wouldn't end in an argument.

Ricky sighed heavily as he headed back into their hotel room and heard his son screaming again. They had brought him on his first ever tour but since the flight he’d been really unhappy and Ricky was guessing that his little ears just weren’t popping like they should have. “Here. Asked the lady what she recommended.” He told max, handing her some stuff for him to suck on. He loved his son to death but parenting had come so much harder to him than he had ever anticipated.

She sighed a little and rubbed at her face, just waking up for the day. “Hey, I just woke up a minute ago… Edens watching cartoons already, here you wanna say hi baby?” She asked, handing the phone to Eden ‘hi daddy! Daddy I watching bluey!’ Carmen smiled and smoothed her hair away from her face. She had been struggling so much with her own issues the past couple years on top of feeling like moah was pushing her away all the time, worried their relationship was heading down the drain but Eden was still her whole world.

Max gave a heavy sigh as she held their son close to try and soothe him "Here baby, try this." She cooed softly before handing him the sucker Ricky had given her. Their son had quite literally become her entire world once he was born. She'd left her job at the club to persue photography and she was on cloud nine for the most part. They had been having some difficulties, mostly revolving around Ricky's definition of parenting, but she was hopeful this tour could help them out.

Noah smiled widely hearing Eden's voice ring through his ears "Hey baby, Bluey huh? Oh I bet you're having fun then." He said happily to her chuckling softly as she told him she had to go and gave the phone back to Carmen "She's getting big so fast." He murmured to her.

She smiled a little and watched her, sitting up to stretch a little. “She certainly is. I spoke to her new daycare teacher yesterday, this year she’s gonna start learning how to do stuff on her own so they can get them ready for school… I’ll let you go, just wanted to call and say good morning or… afternoon on your end.” She smiled a little. “Call us before you go to bed though, miss you.” She told him

Poppy had walked into the dressing room and waved at Noah, going to get a drink out the fridge, leaning up against it while ahe waited for his phone call to end.

He smiled some as he started to quiet down, reaching over and wiping his tears. “That feel better bud?” He asked, smiling when he nodded. “Also asked about kid friendly restaurants round here and they gave me a couple ideas.” He told her, reaching to take Rory off of her so she could go freshen up a little. “I dunno how I feel about Poppy you know, mentioned that you were joining us for the rest of this and since then she’s been acting weird with me. Jolly was saying she’s been weird with Noah too and tried to get a little too close and friendly with Nick.” He frowned.

Noah finished up his coversation with a 'Love you.' before turning to look at Poppy "Hey, how you doing today?" He asked giving her a smile. He'd gotten along quite well with her since the tour started and he was just happy to have another female's opinion on some of the things he and Carmen were having issues on.

Max went to the restroom and gave a frown when she heard him talk about Poppy "Oh? She hasn't tried that friendly act on you has she?" She asked with a raised eyebrow as she came out and went to sit beside them.

“She tried. Told her that you were about to be joining us and she has barely spoken to me since.” He told her. “Plus I know Noah and carm have been having problems. It just… doesn’t feel like a good combo.” He told her, going to put Rory in his pushchair so they could go get dinner and reached for her hand.

Poppy smiled and stepped a little closer. “Been good… sounds like she didn’t start an argument this time.” She told him, placing a hand on his shoulder for a moment but pulled away completely when she heard the others coming in, winking at Noah discretely then headed out.

Max frowned deeply as she listened to him and shook her head "Yeah I've been talking to her, it hasn't been great." She murmured before kissing his cheek gently "Well this girl better back off or she's going to get a rude awakening." She said as she left with him.

Nick gave a small frown as he saw Poppy heading out of the room when they walked in "You good?" He asked Noah not trusting that girl as far as he could throw her. First day of tour she'd tried to make a move on him and he had quickly shut it down.

He chuckled a little and held her close while he pushed the stroller. “You want French food or Asian?” He asked. “Those are the two kid friendly places.” He told her.

He sighed when Noah just shrugged it off a little. “I got a really cute voice note from your daughter by the way. Think she got ahold of carmens phone. Asked me to bring her snacks when we come home. Definitely your kid.” He chuckled.

Max thought for a moment before smiling "Lets do asian, Rory eats better there." She murmured before kissing him gently as they walked "Its really beautiful here. Maybe sometime we can have a proper vacation in Europe if we save up enough." She said softly

Noah shrugged off the Poppy question and chuckled when he mentioned Eden "Oh yeah, definitely my kid." He said before grabbing his wallet "We ready for catering? I'm starving."

He smiled a little. “That would be nice.” He murmured, checking to see why he’d gone so quiet. “He’s fallen asleep.” He sighed a little. “He’s gonna be so off routine doing this stuff. He’s gonna be a nightmare.” He muttered.

He nodded slowly and just shook his head, following him out but keeping an eye on how him and poppy interacted. He knew they were having problems and he was aware of poppys history and the last thing he was gonna let happen under his watch was Noah to throw it all away.
