Ryd Moerae

Ryd gazed at the gathering commotion at Edgewater Academy and grew curious. "What's going on here..." She mumbled as she followed strangers into the combat arena. "A...tournament? Well...sign me up I guess." She said as her cloak ruffled excitedly. "Yes yes you get to play. Now calm down." She chided her cloak.

(I'm in!)

@djinnamon @Kihara017

About halfway through science class, which was admittedly more interesting than math by far, she heard a commotion going on outside. Looking out of the window she saw a ton of people walking towards a building she presumed to be a combat building. Shortly after an announcement was made about a tournament(Just gunna..assume it was did like that for arrpee realism). "Ooh. Let's go to the tournament Sage! It'll be fun!" She told him excitedly, a wide grin on her face, tugging on his sleeve slightly for emphasis.

Well now, this was a surprise. Heidt was actually being serious for a change. Granted, that would likely mean whoever this Kandra was wasn't a good thing. Perhaps he was the source of all this trouble? She'd likely have to wait and hear any response given to the man's questioning. Until then, she was going to have to wait to ask any questions about who or what this Kandra was.

||Holy shit, you mean he can be serious?|| Necrirti couldn't help but blurt out. Honestly, sometimes she wished that Spirit would just keep his mouth shut. Or even speak telepathically to her. Why does he always feel the need to blurt things out for everyone to hear?

Malorn Drakanos

Kandra..Kandra..Where had Malorn heard this name before? It seemd vaugely familiar..but if you live as long as he you learn countless amounts of names, some of which he'd prefer to forget, like Heidt. Crossing one leg over the other, or rather hoof, he brought his chin into his palm in thought. Thought which was soon interrupted by Heidt.

If Heidt knew who Kandra was, and it actually illicited a serious reaction, that meant Kandra was serious. "Who exactly is Kandra?" He asked, giving up on figuring it out himself. Glancing over to Falin and back to Heidt he chuckled lowly at Necrirti's comment. "Miracles happen every day my friend." He replied simply.

He chuckled, letting his hands fall to his sides, before a soft sigh exited him. "You three're idiots if you think I can be serious. How can I be serious when I can't even take myself seriously?" His smile faltered, just a tad at his own self demeaning comment. That... that wasn't supposed to come out like that. It was supposed to be funny. That's his shtick. He's the funny guy. Gotta remember that, Heidt. "Anyways, I'm not serious. Never have been all my life. The only thing I'm even close to serious about is money, my friends. Cold." He turned around, a semi-confident look settled deep in his face. "Hard. Cash."

"I'm not serious. I'm just worried. And excited." He spun around again, this time his face obscured by his hair and hat, as though he still smiled, a twinge of... something else, something that could be confused for nostalgia pulled at his facade. "After all, Kandra Bal Magna is quite the interesting character in this little story of ours. They're powerful. They're smart. They're a stepping stone." He blinked, before looking back, that confident, always bright and cheery grin again plastered on his face. "But, eh, whadda I know, 'miright? I'm just some dumb, kinda perverted outlaw, amirite? Haha! You'd be better off getting the word from the horses mouth over there-" he gestured with his thumb to Hitsugya, "-than asking me 'bout Kandra. After all, who do you trust more: a guy who'll can ya outta all your cash, or some random stranger you just met?" The blatantly obvious answer was blatantly obvious.

Kazuhiro Tomioka Walking in with a sulking mood he remembered the tournament and found Mizuki, getting his new chain scythes he signed up and read some of the names as well as guessed who would join. So we got Mizuki obviously, Hitsu is probably going to join, Yama... who's Yama? Must be a new kid, anyway there's me as well and... WHAT! Ryd signed up too! I seriously hope I don't have to fight her. I'd rather Mizuki take one of us out before that happens... or anyone honestly.
(Kazuhiro, Mizuki, and Yama have joined the battle, same with Tumiji but none of you know him)

"Ow. Pain. Ow. Please stop. Ow. MALORN." He glared at the Grand Demon, clearly upset about being used as a god-forsaken welcome mat, complete with mud stains on his armor. "Why would you do that? I fuckin' know that hurt you, you cheeky dickwaffle." Rolling like a puppy rolled up in a carpet rolling down the stairs, he made his way to Malorn, a displeased look on his face despite his eyes being shut. Somehow, he managed a piercing glare despite his eyes being shut harder than a clam in the desert.

"I'm supposed to be the jerk, mayng. You're supposed to be the 'oh god not this shit again' older brother who really doesn't give a shit what I do. You're ruining my groove bro!" If it were possible for him to become more annoying he'd achieved it. Critical annoyance achieved. Maximum capacity to annoy and generally be hated increased. "Also, shut the fuck up you stupid piece of spirit trash. You try anything and I'll shit on your wife. Literally and figuratively."

Of course, he was ignored. Meh, when you're as powerful as Malorn is, it isn't surprising to know that you'd be ignored. He was used to it. Even still, it'd be nice if once and a while he'd throw him a bone every now-and-again. And by "bone", he wasn't speaking literally or figuratively- he just wished he'd go along with his jokes every once and a while. Of course, these thoughts were dashed by a single word- a name- Hitsugya uttered. It made his blood chill to ice, confirming what he'd thought all this time.

So... it was one of those lives, wasn't it?

Getting to his feet, Heidt strolled to the window by the fridge, proceeding to open it to let a breeze in. Along with getting the relaxing open air on his face, it allowed him to look out over the city. So small. Compared to the billions of cities he'd seen, this one wasn't so special. His face still had that cheeky bastard smile, but something else lingered over that smile- something that'd been eating at Heidt for a long time. Too long.

"Kandra, Hitsugya? Now that's a name I really hoped I wouldn't have to hear. I bet he whipped you, eh? Kicked yours, Mizuki's, and Crimson- the guy who controls rage energy is Crimson, right?- butts I bet." He barely turned his head, but he was able to see Hitsugya perfectly well. "How much stronger was Kandra than you, if you don't mind me asking. I've... heard and seen things, but I want a confirmation from an actual victim, see."

@Halohbottech

"We managed but had to leave, an he sort of pushed us out" stated Hitsugya, putting on his weighted gloves and planning on heading to that tournament Mizuki was talking about. "I gotta go, and if you come across Kandra tell him this...If I ever see him again his pathetic excuse of a castle will be nothing but ruble..." he said, his amber eyes flashing with dark red and black. Turning around, he left the apartment, flying as fast as his wings could muster, that is without breaking the sound barrier...

Damen and Night Wing had already left about 5 minutes before Heidt got all serious. When they regained their physicality from being shadows, they took a moment but realized who's room they were in. Mizuki's Damen sighed a long sigh, not really wanting to be there "Hey Axelia...see ya" was the only thing he said before becoming a shadow and leaving. Night Wing sighed at him leaving again You never like to sit do you? She thought to herself. Well there was only one thing to do...go to class. She took off her shirt and nicely made it be ripped apart here and reappear in tgeir apartment. She did the same with the rest if her clothes and put on her black jeans, dark purple shirt, and black hoodie. Once she was confident she was ready, and had pants on, she went out to look for Mizuki.

Senki nodded to Iene, "Oh, I see. Welcome to Faereach then! I'd be glad to show you around later if you want." She replied before turning to Torr. "Are we almost there big guy?" She asked him, only to recieve a nod in reply. Sighing she decided to begin conversation again. "What made you guys decide to move here?" She asked.
"That sounds great I would love to join you." Kuma glared at him and sarcastically said, "great, volunteer all of our time to others would you." Iene just ignored him and continued to follow the others.

Nyr

Nyr was a bit stunned to see him take his shirt off in this area but she held onto his shirt, tucking it safely in her pouch before looking around. She heard the click- and then the louder crack, but she didn't move from where she was. She could say she was definitely relieved when the people scattered from the alleyway, and she found a half-broken bench to perch on while she waited for Falcon to finish his meal. She knew that a photo of her being was probably somewhere on that filth, but she didn't dare to linger on the thought. Instead, she turned her face towards the sky and closed her eyes. The sunshine felt nice, and she exhaled a bit to loosen her nerves. She honestly hated this place. Aquios brushed against her leg and bubbled, and she glanced at him out of the corner of her eye before giggling softly.

"You've always been there for me, Aquios. And you know what's best for me. If I were in any danger, you'd let me know...right?" She murmured softly, scooping the familiar up and nuzzling into his cool surface a bit. She got a bubble in a response, and it made her laugh again.

"I was created solely to serve you, Nyr. If you were in danger, I would protect you." His response washed a wave of relief through her, and she slumped back against the brick behind her with a happy sigh.

"Good. Wouldn't want anythin happenin to me while Illoi was in town." She snorted a bit, turning her gaze towards the sky and sighing softly. That was a thought she didn't want to deal with right now. What if Illoi made up her mind about Falcon, and it wasn't good? What if...what if it came down to Nyr having to pick sides between Falcon, and the others? She shuddered at the thought and leaned forward, crossing her arms over her stomach. She wouldn't do it. She would rather sacrifice herself to the Earth Mother than choose sides.

But you know you'd pick that...that thing. Don't you ever look inside of yourself? You would pick HIM because every cell in our being calls out to him and you would want nothing more than to sate that greediness. Don't try to lie to yourself any more, Voda. You would risk everything to side with him.

That is ENOUGH Zemya! I will not have you threatening to tear us apart any more. Either be still and let this being do as she pleases, or I will personally make sure you don't get to see what she becomes. Got it?

Nyr was snapped out of her daydreaming by Aquios bumping into her, looking a bit worried. She smiled gently, unaware of anything that just happened deep within her own conscious.

"I'm alright, little one. Just lost in a dream is all." She giggled softly, sitting back on the bench again as she waited for Falcon to return.

Illoi:

Illoi glanced between Vix and Melchio before smiling a bit. "All things considered, I believe it would be best if I stayed with you for a while- that is, if you don't mind the company. I'm not fond of Nyr's new companion, and I don't want to cause trouble." She explained gently, resting a hand on Mogmal as she walked outside with the rest of them. She looked at the sky and shook her head.

"I'm not sure what I'm going to do about those two yet. But I'll trust that Aquios will protect Nyr should things go south." She combs her fingers through her hair before grumbling. "I sure could go for a bite to eat right now. What's good around here?" She tilted her head, thinking of ways to acquire money between here and whatever food destination she might go to. Stealing was frowned upon, but she had to gain it some how. She glanced between the two of them again.

"Also...I'd like to get to know you a little bit, sometime. It's always good to know about your allies. Especially you, vix. It's not every day i meet someone in control of the elements who's not one of my own people." She giggled, looking up at Mogmal.

"Go on, shoo. Go roam the city or somethin...I'll call you if I need you." She waved her familiar away, and he lumbered off in a different direction. She smiled faintly after him, remembering the day she summoned him. She had been so proud of herself with his size. She had almost laughed when she saw the size of Nyr's familiar, but she knew deep down that that little ball of water and earth held a lot of power.

He smiled at melchio “Well, Mel looks like we got ourselves a new companion. So I think we should grab some food, get a drink and get to know our new ally.” He had a cheeky grin on his face as he grabbed melchio’s hand so he could hold his hand as they walked down the street. It was fun to see how he could easily affect melchio, and how cute he looked while being out of it. he figures with so much recent excitement, they could use some relaxation and enjoyment.

He then looked towards Illoi and said “of course you can join us, the more the merrier. Plus, it's good to see that you trust Nyr or aquios in this situation.” He had a cheeky grin on his face and gave her a small wink. She felt something was off with falcon, but I wonder why Nyr didn’t feel uneasy being with him.

He continues to lead them to a place where they could eat and drink. “Well, anything you like to just ask. My Prince and I are open books.” He gave Melchio hand a squeeze to reassure him that he still knew he was there. “As you can see I am a kitsune” he gestured to his nine tails. “that means I'm a fox-spirit. I can control and summon normal fire as well as fox-fire.” He said with a grin.

“I’ll let Melchio here explain himself, because he would be rude to take the spotlight for such a charming person.” He then arrived at his usual bar, where he tends to come when he is low on money. “we can eat and drink here. It will be for me considering I have a running tab at this bar. I know it’s not the nicest place, but it's all I can afford right now. Plus, I figured it would be best to get to know each other over a nice warm meal.” He then began to lead them in the building. @Halohbottech @temporalSorceress (thank you temp you helped me get out of my writers block :D )

Falcon

Falcon finished his meal, wiping the blood from his maw, before drying it off with the man's jacket. As he did so, a small set of photos fell out of his pocket. He figured he knew what they were- pimps like him carried them from time to time, if that was indeed what he was. He was disgusted by his own morbid curiosity to see what those photos held, but being whom he was, he picked them up anyways. Even so, he waitied until he was again clothed before resting against a dusty wall, and holding the photos out in front of him to see. As he expected. Revealing photos, most of them, of young, beautiful women, most of whom he bet would never make it out of the slums. He frowned as he looked at them, until he saw the top of one whose frame held just the faintest hints of platinum blonde hair that was just as messy as he remembered it. Blood turning to ice, he felt that curiosity grow even more, but before he could see who was behind it, he jammed the photos in this pocket, a small hint of white sticking out of the skinny jeans. So that's how it was.

"..." Falcon couldn't find the words to express what he was feeling. He wanted to destroy everything in sight. To think of the things these people could've- must've- done to Nyr... it filled his being with a loathing he was used to only feeling for himself. Still, a rational part of his brain managed to creep up from the denizens of anger and resentment that was him now and tell him to hold off on a massacre. Nyr wouldn't want that. Speaking of, wasn't it better to hear the story from the horse's mouth? Unhappily adhering to his consciousness's wish, he exited the warehouse calmly, and let Nyr's scent guide him back to her. He attempted to look neutral, yet despite this, he somehow managed to look distant, almost wary of her. He plopped himself down next to her, so that his still-bandaged remains of an ear faced her. He sat, quiet for a moment, before scratching his chin with his tail, expressing his embarrassment.

"So... I remember you said you could fix my ear, right? Somethin' about beings being made out of earth and wind and water, right?" He gestured to his injured ear, still somehow avoiding contact with Nyr entirely, feeling a need to be distant from the young woman. "Is it too late to ask you to fix this? I know we're in public... but it'd be nice to not be so off-balance as far as hearing goes, heh." His chuckle was hollow, and his tarnished gold eyes refused to meet Nyr's.

Melchio

Despite still being out of it, Melchio did manage to walk with Vix, his face turning even redder when he took his hand in his own, and led him and Illoi along, all the way until they were at somewhere they could eat- it was a cute mix of a bakery and a restaurant, not unlike Panera Bread. With how he was, he was so out of it, he simply couldn't order anything, and had to be led to the table. However, he slowly came back to, and by the time Vix was done explaining himself, he was once again his old self, a small grin on his face, perhaps a tad bit pinker than usual, but still his old self.

"Thanks Hex, but I'll be taking the floor now." Clearing his throat, he began, "Well, Illoi, I'm a Seraph- the son of an Angel and a human woman. My father was a Life Angel, meaning I was born with six wings instead of four or two- lucky me! We're HOLY beings tasked with defeating demons and their supporters, and I'm one of the best at my job. Obviously these wings can let me fly, but along with that, they have a mind of their own, and can even protect me against threats I'm not aware of, like if someone were to try and attack me from behind.~" He chuckled, reclining in his seat, a soft smile on his face, though it waned a little when Vix decided to go to the tournament. Truthfully, he wasn't in the mood for entering a tourney whatsoever. He'd totally try and catch some of it... but he wasn't interested in play-fighting.

"Ah well, good luck, Vix! You know I'll be behind you all the way." He waved him off, sighing as he walked out, taking his lovely tails with him. Returning to look at Illoi, he smiled softly, resting his hands behind his head, but keeping them out of his wing's way. "Hex is pretty great, huh? He's so optimistic! Plus, he always gets back up on his feet, no matter how many times he gets knocked down. Hehe... he kinda reminds me of this one cartoon character I saw on television..." He trailed off, before remembering he was supposed to be learning about Illoi, not talking about himself and Vix. "So, tell me about yourself, Illoi- all I know is that you and Nyr are buddy-buddy, but besides that... well everything's buried underground versus being up in the air, like it is for me and Vix, even if Vix is, y'know, gone."

"Chances are if I come across Kandra I'm getting the fuck outta there, Hitsu my man. Not gonna bother with that douche." He rolled his eyes, all traces of seriousness gone. He turned around, and was greatly disappointed in what he saw- that all of his pals were gone besides the two asshats he'd come in here with. He frowned, crossing his arms, though his eyes still glinted with amusement. Chuckling, he strolled over to Falin and Malorn, careful to keep a little distance between himself and the Grand Demon.

"Well, I'm done with investigating today. I think that we've all done our fair share (minus Falin) and we all deserve a break! I'm gonna go wreck some scrublords at the tourney goin' on at Edgewater. While the academy's pretty dumb, you gotta hand it to 'em- they can really hold a tournament!" Grinning he made a running dash for the window he'd opened earlier and left open- it now being obvious why he'd left it open. "Peace out losers!" Leaping through, a soft crash and the tinkle of broken glass could be heard, followed by a woman's scream. Once again, he'd managed to leap from one apartment building to another. From there, the one known as Heidt sprinted his way through the city, knowing he was going to be late if he didn't hurry, before he made it to Edgewater, and barely managed to sign up for his rounds.

"That's really all the info you're gong to give us?" Falin's words seemed to fall on deaf ears as Hitsugya walked right past her and left. The Bosmer gave a low growl at the angel's attitude. But trying to take the memories through force would be far more trouble than it would be worth for them. Not to mention the strain it would cause on both her and her target. Another piercing glare was shot at Heidt for his little remark before the man went crashing through the wind once more.

"Just what in Oblivion is wrong with this city?" She muttered to no one in particular, rubbing her eyes. "Outside of getting a name that was a complete and utter waste of our time."

(so since you're a bit late to join you can join the doubles tourney once we finish so for now you're just a spectator)

((How's that going to work? We still have to RP out the combat after all. Or was the tournament simply OOC for the most part...?))

((if you wanna rp it then that's fine, I personally am not because that's a lot to type atm xD it was mostly just OOC so we wouldn't crowd the ICC too much

Vix

Nyr

Nyr could tell something was off, but she shook the feeling and offered a half-smile. "Yeah, of course I can still fix your ear. Here- just sit still and relax." She murmured softly, reaching up to carefully unwrap the gauze from his head. She wrinkled her nose at the sight but scooped up Aquios anyways, holding him close for a moment.

"Alright, so I'm going to press Aquios to the area, and he's going to expand a little. Just relax, and don't try to fight him, alright? I channel my powers through him. Since it's not the same as magic, it shouldn't hurt you." She pressed a brief kiss to his cheek before replacing herself with Aquios, pressing the elemental gently to the side of his head. As she had said, the little guy expanded to cover about have his head and neck. She exhaled, speaking a few ancient words before her eyes glowed a faint blue-green and the surge of energy rushed down her arms and expanded through Aquios, making him glow the same color. She pictured his ear, and the new tissue began to form. When she was done, there was a perfect replica of his ear there, and she smiled, pulling Aquios away from his head and setting him on the ground before brushing her fingers over the freshly healed skin.

"Perfect." She hummed, resting her forehead on his shoulder and closing her eyes a little. She still hated this place. "Can we get out of here? I'm...hungry." She sat up and offered a weak smile before standing up. Part of her told her that Falcon had seen something he shouldn't have, but she just wanted to forget about it for right now.

Illoi

Illoi was intrigued by the seraph. It was interesting, what his kind was. She listened to his storry, nodding a little as it went. She had ordered some form of salad and sandwich, and as they waited for their food she pondered Melchio's story. A seraph. That was interesting. When he asked about herself, she tilted her head a little bit.

"Hm. About myself, eh? Well. I'm a shaman. Not some full grand shaman like Nyr is, but my specialty is with fire. Anything that is comprised of fire, I can control. I was in line to become the Fire Council's leader, but now I'm hear." She gave a sheepish smile, rubbing the back of her neck. "I was the blacksmith's daughter, so I know how to craft every sword, dagger, bow, and mace you could ever hope for. Weapons forged from the fires of a shaman can never break or chip, so they are the best weapons amongst my kind. People say I would have made a good treaty arrangement with the chief's son of the tribe Chava, our closest enemies. That wasn't the life I wanted, though, so I made a blood oath with Nyr and it's been the best choice I've ever made." She giggled softly, playing with her hair again.

She hummed a bit before thinking about what Vix had said. A tournament. That sounded like...fun actually. She gave Melchio a devilish look, grinning. "A tournament, aye? I want to see if there's any way for me to get in on that. I'll catch up with you afterwords!" She promised, getting up and rushing out of the little food place before following the trail of the fox. It wasn't hard for her to track a magical being, after all. She mentally called for Mogmal, itching to get her hands dirty.
