Cindia

I nodded my head to the boy. We began walking through the crowd of creatures fighting students. When we passed a person needing help we would end the creature before sending the students to gather. Many of the new students looked towards my tiger form with fear but once the boy assured them of me being a student they relaxed. We took out a lot of demons as we carried on through the group and save many kids lives.

Dahlia's eyes widened slightly and she shook her head. "You're injured too, Rin. " She reminded him. "I can walk just fine." She lied. It wasn't fair to Rin. It was her fault that she even got hurt, she didn't want to make him suffer because of it. Dahlia followed the wall to the door, carefully avoiding the monsters. She pushed the door open and turned back to make sure Rin was okay.

Finally, Merek and Cindia were able to find and speak to all the students they could spot. "We'd better go back to the group." Merek decided. There was no telling when the creature would attack; they were lucky it had stayed still this long. Then again, that also mean that it probably had a very powerful attack waiting for them.

Rin had almost forgotten about his own injury. Rin wanted to protest and offer to help but Dahlia started to walk away. He followed behind her though, making sure that she didn't trip or provoke one of the creatures. He held timid with his left hand following the wall with his right. No creatures were aggressive towards the two and eventually they reached an door that Dahlia entered. Rin followed her through the exit.

Dahlia couldn't help but roll her eyes as Rin stepped in to the hallway. "Slowpoke." She muttered. She walked as quickly as she could, still holding her stomach with one hand, and counted the doors until she got to her room. Five, six-There it is. She pushed the seventh door open and walked inside, leaving the door ajar for Rin. She knelt down beside her bed and spent a moment feeling around before pulling the large box out. It was full to the rim with herbal remedies and other medical supplies that her Grandmother had practically forced her to bring. She rolled her eyes again. "That should be all of it." Dahlia said to herself, tapping her fingers nervously on the side of the box. "How do you feel?" She asked, looking at Rin anxiously. She probably needed stitches, and wasn't sure about the seriousness of Rin's wound, but she definitely wanted to help him before taking care of herself.

Rin followed Dahlia through the hallway. "What?" He asked as she rolled her eyes at him. After walking past seven or so doors, Dahlia pushed the door open, and Rin followed behind her, leaving the door as open as she did. He looked around the room as she pulled out a big box full of some stuff that resembled medical herbs and other medicinal supplies. "Woah... Got enough stuff?" He asked teasingly. The question confused Rin, truth be told he didn't know the severity of his own wound. He could still feel the blood on his back, but he felt no pain. It must be from adrenaline. I'm sure it'll hurt later... "I'm not sure, but don't worry about me, I'll be fine. Take care of yourself first, then we should go help others," He said calmly, while he did want it treated, he wanted to make sure others were okay first, seeing as there could be others far worse off then he was. As Rin thought to himself, he started to feel heat coming from his back and a lot of his senses started coming back, though he tried his best not to show it.

Merek headed back to the group of students he had gathered. As he approached he briefly looked around for Rin and Dahlia, but didn't see either of them. He hadn't seen them anywhere in the battlefield while he was recruiting, so they must be inside, hopefully safe for now.

Going toward the back of the group, he turned to face the direction of the massive creature. "Get ready. It could charge at any moment." he warned, nocking an arrow. "When it does, attack all at once."

"You're a terrible liar." Dahlia said matter-of-factly. "I'm going to have to give myself stitches, and it's bound to take a while. Sit down so that I can help you first." She gestured to the bed without looking at Rin, keeping her focus on the box of medical supplies in front of her. She chewed on the inside of her lip, a sign that she was in deep thought. Dahlia reached up to tuck her bangs behind her ears, only to be replaced with more strands. She sighed and rummaged around for a moment before pulling out a bandana and quickly tying it around her head to hold her bangs back. She looked back to Rin. "Do you think you'll need stitches, or just bandages?" She asked him, while pulling a small bottle out of the box and examining it.

Rin smiled towards Dahlia, unable to help it was funny that she could tell so easy. He walked over to the bed and sat down. "I'm not too sure, I couldn't really feel it until now," he looked to the ground. Out of the corner of his eye he saw her tie her hair back with a bandana. "Just do the absolute necessities, try to save time to help yourself first."

The students Merek had gathered all stood still, their weapons up and ready to attack. The sound of other smaller monsters could be heard around the battlefield, but they were focusing on the much more dangerous massive creature that was preparing to charge. For several minutes no one dared to speak, waiting in nervous anticipation for the battle to come.

And then, it started running. Its feet sent shudders through the earth as it pounded toward them, nearly unbalancing many of the students. Merek held his ground, although a small drop of sweat slid down his typically calm face. He waited until he was just a little closer before shouting the order. "Attack!"

All the students sprang forward with their respective weapons to attack the creature. Merek hung back, releasing arrows from afar and gauging the status of combat. He couldn't fire as quickly as he would like due to the large number of swiftly moving allies who swarmed around it--he couldn't afford hitting them. The beats roared and its charging paced slowed, but only the slightest, and it was still heading straight toward the academy, hounded by the students.

Dahlia nodded and moved to sit behind Rin. The wound wasn't terribly deep, but it was wide. Which means it needs stitches. She sighed, her fingers inspecting the wound, checking the flesh around the gap before picking up a needle and preparing to start the stitches. She was interrupted by a deafening roar, and shouts that she assumed came from the Altorus. Dahlia's eyes widened and she stood suddenly, reaching out to steady herself on the nearest bookshelf and attempting to fight off the oncoming nausea. "We need to move further into the building, in case anything happens." She said worriedly. Dahlia quickly gathered the medicine and turned back to Rin. "I'll have to wait until later to stab you with a tiny needle. Are you ready?"

Rin couldn't help but flinch as Dahlia ran her hands across the wound. Now that most of the feeling came back, it was hard not to. He tried to suck it up when Dahlia picked up a needle. A roar echoed throughout the acadamy followed by shouting. Rin watched as Dahlia stood up and steadied herself on a bookshelf. "I should be out there fighting with them," he said quietly. But he knew he would be of no help at the moment, as much as he hated it. "Yes I'm ready to go, though when you put it like that I am not sure I want you with any needles near me," he said smiling, nodding towards the door.

Everyone pounced at the call from Merek. Some people attacked the beasts lower section while others attacked the top section of the creature. No matter the attacks the creature only slowed slightly. Students where some times being struck by each others attacks. I jumped onto the beast seconds before a bolt of lighting, from another student, smashed into the ground from missing the monsters shoulder.

(OOC Note: Just an FYI, I'm going to an anime convention for the next three days, so I probably won't respond to anything until late Sunday. Sorry!)

"If you were still out there, we'd probably both be dead. And considering the state that we're both in, we'll be much more helpful in here." She reminded him quietly.

"Yes I'm ready to go, though when you put it like that I am not sure I want you with any needles near me," Rin said. Dahlia smiled devilishly, and spun around to face the door, carefully shifting the box to one arm and fixing her bandana with the other. "I think we'd be safest in the library, but there are sure to be more medical supplies in the infirmary, and it will be easier to help people in there...What do you think?" She raised an eyebrow at Rin.

Rin let out a dramatic sigh, and couldn't help but laughing a little at the little devilish smile she gave him. He stood up, a flare of pain shooting up his back. "Tsk... Well, if we go to the library we can fix ourselves up, then make our way to the infirmary. Hopefully none of the creatures are in the halls just about yet," He said, collectively thinking of all that was going on. If she could patch him up good enough to swing Timid around some more without as much pain, then he could protect her as they made their way to the infirmary. Hopefully there would be some pain medication there that could hold him over for a little bit longer.

He pushed open the door quietly, glancing around the corridor. He saw no creatures, or anybody for that matter, " It's good to come out Dahlia, let's do this quickly, though." He said, smiling, nodding out the door. " I'm not too sure which way it is, so you lead and I'll watch your back. "

Dahlia rolled her eyes when he sighed, a small smile on her face. She followed Rin out into the hall, slowly making her way towards the library. She wondered if Merek was doing okay, and clutched the box tightly to her abdomen, hoping that the extra pressure would help staunch the blood loss. She sped up her pace slightly when she saw the large door to the library up ahead. She pushed the door open with her shoulder, gripping the box nervously, and stepped inside. Everything was the same as it was this morning, but it felt so different than it had when she met Merek. Dahlia dropped the box down on one of the many tables in the large room.

"Needle time." Dahlia sang under her breath. She busied herself with pulling out some of the remedies-something that was the equivalent of pain killers and another numb the skin so that getting the stitches wouldn't hurt too much. Luckily, Grandmother had packed enough for an army.

Finally, the massive creature was slowing down, However, it also seemed more enraged than ever, and seemed to have shifted its focus to attacking the students. Merek called out orders from behind while loosing arrows. To his satisfaction, one impaled its eye, sending it into an uproar. Taking advantage, the other warriors surrounded it and started attacking together, trying to take it down before it recovered.

Merek lowered his bow slightly to observe the scene. They might actually win this after all--

Suddenly, he heard the distinctive sound of a weapon slicing through the air dangerously close to his right. He jumped back before he even had a chance to look at his attacker. Another swing of a ragged blade came, even swifter this time, and he stepped back only to stumble on the uneven terrain and fall onto his backside.

Merek quickly held up his bow in order to block the other's next attack and was finally able to get a good look. It seemed to be a thin but muscled creature that was adept with a sword. It must have snuck up on Merek when he had been distracted.

He flinched away when the sword was stabbed downward, but the blade still nicked his cheek and created a small cut. Before Merek could roll away, the sword was yanked out of the ground and slashing down again. He brought up his bow to meet it and the two weapons clashed. Almost immediately Merek's muscles started to burn from the force needed to hold back the other's attack and, to his fear, his arms were threatening to give way.

Just before his limbs reached the point of collapse another student came by and took out the creature. Merek sighed with relief as he was helped up and thanked the student. He looked back at the massive beast the other students had been focused on and was surprised to see that someone was preparing the final blow to its now unguarded throat.

The great beast didn't seem to notice a large white tiger on its shoulders while it battled all of the other students from above. I had time to plan my attack. "Man, I wish I could shift into a SaberTooth Tiger. That bad boy has canines the size of my forearm!" My thought was distracted when an arrow lodged itself into the right eye of the beast. Choosing this moment to attack, the students began assaulting the legs and lower part of the giant demon. I also took this moment to launch myself at the creatures throat.

Digging my canines into the thick flesh of the monster's neck, I clamped down tight. The giant panicked, swiping its huge hands at me and shaking violently to get me off of him. The other students joined in on the attack. Slowly but surely, the beast began to loose oxygen then it crumbled. I tried to jump away from the knocked out giant but I was to late. Before I could run the crushing weight of a 2 ton demon fell on top of me. Everything turned black but I couldn't tell whether I had passed out or it was from being covered by the giant.

Rin followed closely behind Dahlia, carefully watching their surroundings for any of the creatures that may have gotten in. Luckily he didn't see anything that set off an alarm, in fact, everything seemed as though it had earlier that day. Except there weren't any of the students in the halls besides the two. They had reached the library pretty fast, and Rin was grateful, the pain in his back was starting to get pretty bad. They entered the library and he was shocked to see the size of the library. It was almost as big as the one he had once had at his house. There wasn't much time to praise it, however, and Dahlia had sung that it was needle time. "You're kind of crazy," Rin said, grinning at her. He sat up on a table next to where she had placed her supplies and lifted up his shirt. "Try not to kill me, huh. And ya needa fix yourself up right after too," Rin said, quite calmly.

Merek opened his mouth in warning as the beast started to fall, but it was already too late. The creature's body shook the earth as it landed in a heap on top of the white tiger. He immediately rushed over to the dead body, interrupting the students' cheers of victory.

"There's an ally underneath the body! Everyone, get over to this side and push!" Merek ordered. The students swiftly moved to the beast's right side and placed their hands underneath the corpse. Merek did so as well; he may not be particularly strong, but every little bit helped.

"And...heave!" At his call everyone started to push upwards. Grunts of exertion filled the air as, slowly but surely, the creature's body was lifted. Although everyone's muscles burned with the strain, they didn't stop until they had pushed the body onto its side and then released it so it could roll over and away from the tiger.

Merek, ignoring the agony in his arms, rushed over and crouched next to the large animal. "Are you alright...?"

Through the fog that filled my mind, both because of the crushing weight and because of my claustrophobia, I heard voices grunting. Then the body was lifted slightly. Finally the thing was off me and I took in a huge, raspy breathe, still shaking slightly from being under the creature. I almost started to swipe my claws at the human who had run up to me but stopped when I noticed it was Merek. Trembling, I just shook my massive furry head against the ground. No, I wasn't okay. I was panicking from my brief time under the heavy body of the massive beast.

Merek worriedly watched as the tiger shook her head. He reached out to her but then stopped and retracted his hand; he wasn't sure if she would take close proximity kindly.

It was obvious that being nearly crushed had left her in a frightened state. "You're fine now." he attempted to reassure, although honestly he wasn't sure. He wasn't exactly and expert on animal anatomy and couldn't tell if she had broken anything. "The fight's over, at least for now. How about we go inside and rest up?"

Dahlia gave Rin a crooked smile. "Kind of." She stiffened at the sound of something crashing to the ground and more shouts coming from the Altorus. Relax. I'm sure Merek and the others are just fine. She told herself, taking a deep breath and turning back to Rin. She did the stitches quickly and carefully, seeing as she'd given them hundreds of times before-to herself and to other's from the village she used to live in.

Dahlia stood when she was done and handed a tiny jar of pain relief ointment to Rin. "You'll need to use this daily until it heals. If you run out, just tell me."

She pushed herself up onto the table and rummaged around in the box before pulling out a clean needle to fix herself up. Dahlia glanced over at Rin before starting. "Does everything feel okay? The stitches I mean." She asked uneasily, tucking back a dark strand of hair that had escaped from her bandana.
