Lioness075
Everyone's fighting some battle of their own.
Name: Luness
Age: 19
Race: Werecat
Powers and abilities: The ability to shift between fully human and a human-like cat, that is basically a werewolf, but a cat instead. Her cat form comes in the shape of an Iberian Lynx. She's light on her feet and phenomenal at sneaking around. You'll probably never know she's there until she's attacking you or confronting you. She has heightened sense all around and can shift specific body parts to temporarily heighten specific senses. Like, she can shift her eyes so she can temporarily see really well. She is also an Alpha of her pack of werewolves, who she inherited from her father, Bigby (AKA The Big, Bad Wolf). Being an Alpha gives her further enhanced senses including: Being able to see heat signatures now, her caterwaul (Lynx version of howling) can carry as far as a five mile radius and can either be a cry for help or a way of brining attention to herself, enhanced speed and reflexes, and the ability to snarl at either another cat or dog to either send them running or pacify them in the manner of an Alpha sharply telling an Omega or Beta to listen to them. Luness also has the undiscovered ability to take physical pain from others. Her enhanced healing rate helps her to endure their pain, but she can only go so far with it before she could end up killing herself in the process. In order to discover this ability, Luness needs to be in a dire moment, where only she can truly save someone's life. Alas, this has yet to come into play.
Personality: Luness can be quiet at times, and more outspoken at other times, but typically tends to keep to herself, in the sense of self-preservation. She strongly dislikes talking about herself and usually won’t speak a lot about her past. She is also extremely loyal to someone if they prove their worth to her or if she feels like she owes them something. More often she’s only loyal because she feels like she owes people something. Nobody has really proved their worth to her yet. Luness also will mentally shut down and freak out if she’s in her human form since she views it as weak and useless. She rarely, if ever, shifts into her human form. Despite all of this, Luness loves music and is very inclined to be sitting against a tree trunk and singing to herself or playing on her guitar.
Character flaw or weakness: Luness is introverted, so she can become increasingly agitated and uncomfortable the more people she is around. If she feels as if she’s in the spotlight and everyone’s staring at her, then she may even lash out at the nearest person to get everyone to back off. She's very defensive and this often gets her in fights, which could've easily been avoided.
Luness is also very depressed, she specifically has Major Depression. While she hasn’t considered suicide or anything that extreme just yet, she constantly will be seen pacing about while having silent or slightly audible arguments with herself. She’s terrified of sleeping now because of recurrent nightmares that she has of either her parents or her pack members dying. She’s also convinced herself that anyone who gets close to her will either get badly hurt or die. Her second-in-command pack member lost his foot in a fight when Luness was present, so she’s just further convincing herself that she’s a danger to all of those around her. On top of all of this, she recently boldly led her group of friends into a trap. It isn’t too uncommon nowadays to find Luness sitting in a shadowy corner or finding a place of solitude to either be completely silent and forlorn, or to be crying to herself once she’s certain that she’s actually alone.
On top of the Major Depression, Luness is also suffering from PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder) due to firsthand witnessing the death of her mother and then being the one who had to kill her own father. She's also suffering from this due to the darkness put inside of her from the Battle of Branbern and again, having to witness more death, as she lost two of her packmembers.
Romantic inclination: Straight
Short bio: Luness grew up in the forests of FableWood with her mother, who was a werecat as well, but was left to fend for herself after her mother was killed by a werewolf, who was Luness’ father, Bigby (AKA, The Big, Bad Wolf from Little Red Riding Hood). Luness' mother told her that Luness' father was a werewolf, but that he was dead before Luness was born in order to try and protect her from Bigby. She vowed to avenge her mother one day, but when she finally killed Bigby, she only felt far worse about what she had done. Despite being left to fend for herself when she was just a kit, Luness quickly learned self-preservation and managed surprisingly well on her own. She's grown up in isolation, specifically along the edge of the ShadowWood, and so is rather unsure of how to socially interact with others. ShadowWood is the place where only demons and the darkest of souls venture. Every waking minute spent there, it feels like your soul is slowly being taken from you and FableWoodians slowly disappear over time. After living on its edge and even occasionally using it as concealment from Bigby and his pack, Luness' heart is locked away, weighed down by many chains and locks as a result of being isolated for so long and not being properly loved for such a long time. She prefers to be in her werecat form, crawling around on all fours and trying to avoid contact with others. Her human form is highly uncomfortable to Luness, as she views it as weak and useless despite her still having no problem fighting as a human. She just doesn’t like the lack of fur on her body and her senses being as terrible as a human’s. She still comes out of her shadows though, especially when she needs to restock. With humans introduced to FableWood, it didn't take long for Luness to come across some cigarettes and alcohol, especially after she snuck into their world a few times. While she wasn't too keen on the alcohol, Luness is now addicted to smoking and is quite the odd sight with it. She'll usually be in her werecat form, leaning up against a tree trunk and smoking. Certainly not the most normal thing to see around FableWood, but then again, what is considered normal there?

In both forms, her right eye is a vivid, mossy green, the color which she gets from her father. Her left eye is golden in her werecat form and then hazel in her human form, which she gets from her mother.
Luness also has a half-way form the she can shape shift into, but has never really had a use for. This half-way form is more of an anthro version of her werecat form. In this form, Luness’ hands will not be paws and will instead be elongated palms and fingers with claws instead of fingernails. She will also have a straightened back and body like a human instead of having the flexible spine of her full lynx form, which allows her to run on all fours. Other than these notable differences, everything else would be the same as it would be for her in her werecat form.
Luness has numerous scars spanning across her body from years of neglect, fighting, and the recent adventures that she’s gone on. All of her scars will remain on her body, no matter what form she takes. The first notable one is a the jagged scar spanning from the top of her right eyebrow down the side of her right face to the edge of her chin. It goes directly over her right eyelid and eye, but her right eye is perfectly okay otherwise. The next one is her left ear, which is torn and now only a small stub is left of it. On her arms, her right forearm has a mangled and two inch wide scar on it that is centered between her wrist and elbow, on the topside of her arm. This scar is from three different occasions, but the second time it was also broken so she actually has a scar on top of a scar. On top of the large and jagged scar, she also has a thin lined scar running from the middle of her wrist all the way to the middle of her elbow. The first time she sustained a scar there, it was a deep bite wound from a werewolf and so the bottom of her right forearm has jagged bite scars along it. Her left side has several claw marks on it from Bigby. In fact, most of her scars are from Bigby alone. The only scar she had prior to joining the group was the scar on her face. Next scar is several burn scars on her body, which have made it impossible for any fur to grow in those places. Her burn scars are on the following places, are all about two-three inches in diameter, and all have mostly circular kinds of shapes: just above her left hip, back of her right hand, top of left shoulder, outside of left ankle, outside of left foot and then both of the bottoms of Luness’ feet have burn scars so no fur can grow on the bottom of them and the her paw pads are scarred as well. Luness also has a scar along the inside of her left ankle, from the bottom of her jutting bone, along the top of it, and then a few inches up her shin. This scar is from when she broke her ankle at one point.
Other: Luness also has her very own guitar, a dark wooden acoustic guitar to be exact. While she hasn’t had any time to play it recently, whenever she felt herself reaching a breaking point while she was alone, she’d always pull out her guitar and play a song while singing to it or sometimes just hum along. While she has visited the human world a couple times, she’s only ever been to desolate, small towns in what always seems to be the middle of nowhere. Always visiting the bars, it didn’t take long for Luness to get her own supply of cigarettes along with a lighter. One time she got lucky though, and she managed to find a music store in one of the towns. In it, she found her guitar and has had it ever since. But because she has been to the human world, she’s heard many of the songs they have and lo and behold, Luness has a gift in music thanks to her enhanced hearing. She can listen to a song only about two or three times before she can replicate it on her guitar and sing it word for word. As for her singing voice, Luness has both an alto and soprano voice, being able to sing a bit more deeply at times whereas being able to also reach rather high pitches at other times.
Despite being so wonderfully gifted at music, Luness strongly dislikes singing whenever other people are around her and will shut up the moment she finds out someone has been listening to her while also giving them a mean glare and probably telling them to get lost. She used to sing with her mother when she was a kit, but since her mother passed away, Luness has felt that singing is something sacred to her mother and doesn’t want to share it with anyone else.
Still, Luness is perfectly okay with others hearing her playing her guitar and them singing along if they like. She just doesn’t want to sing in front of people herself.
