Ethan nodded. "The, uh... Human boy. Yeah, that's me." He gave a small sort of wave to the other. "You're...?" He looked at Apexander with a frown. Nothing seemed unusual about him; he looked as far as Ethan was concerned.

Anya looked at her friends, what they said made sense, she supposed. "Okay, but if the imp breaks everything it isn't my fault." She said, feeling somewhat foolish as she did. That was one of those things not meant to be said aloud. Anya headed over to the door where the imp was and placed the fragile key into the hole delicately.
"My name is Alexander, I usually look very different from this, I am a dragon." He said. "So... Tell me of yourself?" The question sounded more than a touch awkward. He had grown used to Quincy and her company, so he was learning to be softer and more casual with her. However now she was nowhere in sight and his face was in its usual flat resting position, his voice a similar pitch.

Leo smiled. He reached down and scooped the little chipmunk up off the ground and brushed some snow off her back. "Better?"

"Its only gonna heal if you let it." Alta said gruffly. "Now hold still a minute." She finished her work and sat back on the bed. "You've got heaps pent up in there," She poked Luness in the chest, being careful to avoid the dressings over her deeper cuts. "It'll only get better if you face it." The old wolf blinked at her, amber eyes glinting intelligently. "Talking helps...it helped me."

The lock clicked and instantly the key shattered. The imp and the flower vanished in a cloud of dark smoke. Ward laid his long ears back and scampered behind Leo's foot. "Did we make the wrong choice?!" Suddenly in a burst of light the guardian appeared.
Suddenly the wall behind him cracked and crumbled away, letting light pour into the dark chamber so bright it blinded him. When Ward opened his eyes once more the guardian was gone and the Glaciem star was nowhere in sight.
"...we failed?" He said disbelievingly.
He hopped to the edge of the crumbled wall and peered out. The frozen lake stretched before them, catching golden light. The wind ruffled his ears and made him turn his head down. As he did so his eyes widened.
"Look! Down there!" A set of steps led down from the cavern and sitting on a small ledge by them were a collection of flowers. The same that had been hidden in the cage. Ward felt a tingling in his little paws and suddenly he felt himself growing. His arms lengthened and his blond hair returned in its original wild mass. He was human once more.
With a happy cry he changed back into a gryphon and climbed carefully down the steps, taking one of the flowers carefully into his talon.
He smiled at his companions as he watched the spell lift from them as well. He knelt to allow passengers onto his back.
"Now, back to SnowHaven quick as we can! I only hope we're not too late!"
Leia browsed as well, she saw a funny hat hanging on a hook, it was dyed red with little tassels hanging out of every which way. She pulled it over her eyes and turned to Elena with a grin. "Me or not me?" Lifting it up slightly she saw a shadow fly over. The gryphon nodded as he quickly darted behind a building to stay out of sight.
"Oh, hey, I'm getting really hungry, how about we go back to the great hall?"

Elena laughed into her hand and nodded. Leia looked pretty funny. "I think it's definitely you. Dawlling you are fabulous!" She said in a mocking tone. She then picked up a vibrant purple fur sable and strutted about.
When asked if she was hungry, she realized being in a better mood, she was starving. Elena nodded vigorously and refilled and placed back everything they touched.
"I think I could really eat." She replied, leaving with Leia.
"Thanks for hanging out with me today. It's not often we get to have fun on our down times like this."

Anya snatched her hand to her chest and stumbled backwards a little, unsure as to why the key shattered. The light caused her to squeeze her eyes shut and turn her head away. She only looked back when Ward shouted something. She saw him turn back to a human, then into a griffin as she felt her own limbs streach and grow. Glad to be an adult again, she got to her feet to follow Ward down to the flowers, enjoyin the feel of the wind in her hair before the realization hit her.
Anya's hand went up to her hair, and ran through it, pulling the pony bands out as she did.
"Where is the rest of my hair?" She asked, "Why didn't it come back the same way?" Her hair now stopped just short of her shoulders, the same way it had been cut when she was around 5 or 6. She shouldn't be concerned, it was just hair, but it was her favourite thing about herself, and she had spent the better part of 4 years growing it out.

Leos arms and legs began to tingle and then his whole body. The fur that covered his body was returning and he was growing fast. His face began to lengthen, and to his dismay, his eye began to close once again. With a shake of his golden mane, he roared the return of his true form, making the cave walls shake slightly. As he watched the others change back as well he took in the beauty of the lake and its flowers. When he heard Ward call to the others to return, he stretched his huge body and dropped to all fours. He sprinted to the mouth of the cave and followed when the others were ready.

Rose loved the warm tingling feeling of becoming a dragon again. She roared just to test her voice, then she walk to the mouth of the cave with the others. Happily she laid down and said " I can fly anyone who can't back "

Luness huffed at Alta when she insisted on taking back the arm and finishing her work on it despite it hurting Luness quite a bit.
Hearing what Alta said, Luness furrowed her brows, but didn't argue since it was true. Hearing that talking had helped Alta, Luness cocked her head at her and asked, "What did you need to talk about?"

Nyr was happy that her wings finally returned and she was in her human shape. She was about to fly off when she noticed the ice revenant staring at her. She turned back silently as she looked at the stalwart guardian.
" You have proven that you are heroes. " it rumbled as it bowed its head " Call the icy winds of the north to your aid and we shall come. The legion of winter will aid you. "
With that it vanished. She nodded silently and headed to Snow Haven. While she was soaring in the air she told the others her opinion.
" We will never speak of this again. Ever. "

Alta chuckled. "You're not getting it out of me that easy. Perhaps I'll tell you...one day." She pricked her ears suddenly, alerted to noise in the great hall nearby. "Sounds like there's some sort of hoopla going on over there."

Leo raced along the ground with everyone else high above, surprisingly able to keep up. Once he entered the town he wove through the shops and houses making his way to the great hall. Along the way he passed Elena and Leia, giving a Leia a smile as he rounded the corner and entered the great hall. He was amazed with the castles staff and how beautifully the place was put together. Hearing Ward, Leo dashed behind a sofe, the only thing big enough to hide his size

Nyr swooped down from the sky, stepping near Ward, anticipating the surprise party. Now they just needed Elena to be in the right position and it would be perfect... well if she likes flowers that is. It did not even occur to her that this gift might be inappropriate. Well it was too late to turn back anyway.

Elena followed from the store back to the great hall. She had her mind set on food and she was still partially laughing at the scarf and hat thing. For a moment, she realized this was probably the best birthday she has had since she was ten. Just being around someone who makes her laugh was nice. She wondered to herself if anyone else was in the great hall. Being around others seemed nice at the moment. She opened the door with Leia.

Letting out a small sigh, Luness said to Alta, "Why not go and see what's going on? I'm not going anywhere so no need to worry about me...."

As they stepped through the door Ward leapt up. The cooks and the inkeeper, his wife, the children from the morning and it seemed like half the village all jumped up with him and yelled:
"Surprise!"
Several people tossed bits of shredded paper into the air which Leia had instructed them on doing before she had left. They fluttered to the floor as Ward worked his way out from behind the table, holding the flower delicately in both hands.
"Some of us went to find this for you...Happy birthday Elena." He smiled, his golden eyes dancing in the light of the torches that were lit all around the room. He held out the gift for her to take as Leia watched with a grin on her face.

Elena leapt back a bit in surprise. The scene was beautiful. Cake and confetti and everyone she was traveling with. The smaller brunette approached with a stunned look on her face and reddened cheeks. She entered slowly, talking everything in.

She came to Ward who had a delicate flower in his hand. She took it into her own, careful as though it would shatter. It was beautiful. But the best part was they all went to get it for her.

Mysterious and....... Mysterious?
Zelnite laughed at himself, noticing that he might be late if the party. He must've traveled around town a bit too long. Quickly making it back, he climbed the second floor window making sure no body saw him. Then quickly ran down the stairs. But when everyone yelled surprise, he knew he was late. "My my, I think I must be a bit late, Happy Birthday Elena!" He said in a joyous tone then gave a wide smile.

When he heard the door open slowly, Leo followed suit with the others and jumped up. Not taking into the account his size and placement behind the couch, it immediately went flying backwards nearly taking out a few other villagers that were surprising as well. Surprised as well, he quickly grabbed the couch and righted it, viewing the room hopping everyone was paying attention to the birthday girl and didn't notice it. Once the couch was back in its home, Leo went over to Elena and Ward and picked them both up in a giant hug, laughing and cheering with everyone else. HE set the two of them back down and turned to Elena, "Happy birthday Elena."

Ward looked away, "Long story. One I have made a very solemn promise not to share." Leia looked puzzled, but decided that she would get the story later, somehow.
