Fantasy ~ FableWood ~

Rose felt Leo oat her and she tilted her head to where he was pointing. Nodding she close her wings and rocketed down soreadong her wings again to land. She knelt down to allow him off.

The arch demon, annoyed by the interruptions enclosed Nyr in a shadowy barrier, floating her in the air and turned to the newcomers.

" How rude to interrupt one's work. " he said mildly annoyed as he was gazing on the werecat, his expression turned into a smile.

" What a wonderful specimen! " she exclaimed, putting his long shadowy fingers together in anticipation. " Ferocious offspring of a werewolf, full of hate and resentment, excellent candidate. " he then turned towards Alexander.

" And a powerful dragon! Come my children, join us, the master will be most pleased. "

Alexander let out a low growl, his pride assaulted. His tail swung around to try and break through two of the shadows, the two which would involve the least amount of chance that Nyr may get hit. However, in the process causing the potential to hit some of Luness's pack mates, as he did not realize that they had arrived, and once such an attack was started it was difficult to stop.

Anya, meanwhile, heard something land just outside of the infirmary and decided to stay inside, she did not know if what had just arrived was friend or foe, but she thought it best not to stay and try to find out. She moved back, quietly, further into the building, and tried not to whimper as she walked. She found a place to hide becide what was had been a place to store bedclothes and sheets, she imagined, when she heard squeaking. 'Is it just my imagination or is that speech?' She thought quietly to herself, leaning down to open one of the drawers. Inside were a family of anthropomorphic mice, trembling. They seemed afraid that she was some kind of demon, too.

When she saw them she held a finger to her lips, warning them to be quiet. One would think this wouldn't be too surprising after riding on a dragon and teleporting, but it still was.

As he and Rose landed, Leo spoke to her "I'm fairly certain she is hurt, give me a moment to help her and we will be off again." Leo slid down Rose's side and took a few giant steps before reaching the make shift infirmary. He placed a hand on the door frame and poked his head inside. "Anya, are you in here? It is I Leo, I've come to help." He sniffed the air, the foul taint of the war outside filled his nostrils, but he was able to pick up on the scent of fresh blood and fear.

Rose curiously poked her snout onto a window so she could see. She smelled the awful scent and snorted. She looked to Leo and then around the hut.

Anya piped up when she heard Leo's voice. "Oh! It's just you!" She called, from the room to the side where she had 'hidden'. She layed a hand down to the mice, who- after a little coercion- climbed up into it. She picked up the small family of five and walked out to where Leo and Rose were. "I found some mice." She said. The pain was still strongly in her voice, and her dress was torn where the sword had pierced her skin, so as to clearly display the already stained bandages she had wrapped with less than an amateur's skill.

Luness watched with dismay as Nyr was lifted away from her and seemingly unresponsive.

Hearing herself being called out by the archdemon, Luness turned swiftly to face him and snarled, "Let Nyr go!" She then took a threatening step towards the archdemon, her battle claws at the ready to fight him if it came to it.

Luness' packmembers and Falarion were fighting the shadows when Falarion saw the dragon's incoming attack at him and one of the other members nearby. He swiftly sprinted towards the packmember and shoved him out of the way of the dragon's attack just as it struck Falarion and sent him flying against a wall nearby. There was a crack as he struck the wall and then crumpled to the ground.

The saved packmember quickly got back to his feet and sprinted on all fours to Falarion's side, skidding to a halt and looking him over for injury. It was soon obvious that his shoulder had been fractured and he had been knocked unconscious, but he would otherwise live.

Growling at this, the packmember looked sharply at Alexander and snapped, "Some ally you are!" He then maneuvered Falarion's body so it was on his back and he could sprint without Falarion falling off of him.

Without giving Alexander a second glance, the packmember sprinted away, carrying Falarion to the castle, where Alta could aid him.

Upon arriving at the entrance to where the other injured packmembers should still be, the packmember trotted inside with Falarion on his back and called out, "I require aid, Falarion is injured!"

Banba glared around, seeing Leo on top of the new dragon she hadn't met yet descending a few streets away. Before she could head in their direction, a large demon stepped into the street in front of her. Looking it up and down, Banba calmly dropped to all fours, bones making a sickening crunching noise as they grew and repositioned themselves, until she was standing as a bulldog as big as the demon. She growled, charging towards her opponent. The demon's mouth clamped down on the shifter's shoulder, and she was grateful for the armor that shifted to fit her form. She dug her own fangs into the demon's flesh, ignoring the acidic taste in her mouth. She fling her head back and forth, skin tearing underneath her jaws. The demon howled and fell to the side, causing banba to only bite down harder, until she felt bones snap. Banba took a few steps back, reviewing her own body. Other than a dented shoulderplate, she hadn't received any new injuries, but The wounds on her back grew to the size of her new form, and she knew they'd stay the same size if she shrunk again, taking up the whole of her back, maybe more.

"A bird does not settle with a chicken's egg." She muttered, running down the street to join the fray again.

'Perhaps if you did not get in the way...' Alexander thought towards the pack member who had snapped, then towards the one he had injured and towards Luness he thought an apology. He was unsure if the apology was heard, by Falarion, but it was made and to Alexander that was the important part.

Alexander turned again to the Arc demon, but seeing Luness already challenging the man decided that in this form he could not help her. Instead he turned back to the shadows, and this time he warned the pack members which shadow he would be fighting, trying to ensure that they would stay clear of his attacks.

The demon watched with glee as they incidentally struck one another and he extended his arms towards them - but not in a threatening manner but rather in a welcoming one.

" Why do you want to fight me? " he asked as a dark mist started to materialize near them enveloping both his minions and his opponents. He turned to Luness " Do you not want to see your family again, werecat? Do you not wish to feel the loving embrace of your mother and father? "

He snapped with his fingers and the mist shifted into Luness' parents who then smiled at their child happily.

" Lune, my dear! " her mother said " Join us, let us be together! " the demon grinned as he whispered in her ears. " Join us and your wish comes true... you will get power beyond your imagination... even to resurrect your beloved. "

Meanwhile the mist also embraced Anexander.

" Noble dragon, didn't you hate when your curiosity got punished instead of rewarded? When your talents were overlooked and were not appreciated? "

He conjured an image of a thousand worlds circling around him.

" Imagine freedom beyond your wildest dreams... exploration, conquest, power and loots... all for you. And all you need to do is to embrace my gift, nothing more... "

Rose felt something trigger in her brain that made her shake her head feeling fuzzy. She blinked and licked the inside of her mouth. Then she knelt down and allowed them on when ready.

Leo was revealed to hear her speaking, at least he knew she wasn't dead. He knelt down as she walked out and placed a hand on the girls arm offering her support off her injuries. As she held up the family of mice to show him, he winced a little bit. Even in the heat of battle, Leo did not care for mice very much. "Hah, well you just hold onto that little family while i take a look at you." He looked down at the part of her dress that was torn and saw the bloody bandages. He did not want to remove them and risk her loosing more blood, so he simply placed his hand over the wound. With his connection to Lilly still very much intact he merely focused the energy through his hands and into the wound, unconsciously purring while he did so. Under the bandages, he could feel the wound closing up and her smooth skin returning to normal. After a few more seconds of taking care of any other injuries he opened his eye, still glowing green, and smiled "You are an incredibly strong woman. To much longer and that would have been much worse." He stood and looked around, a few shadows flying over head but nothing seemed to have spotted them. It was then that he heard Banba and large demon exchanging attacks a short distance away. He walked back over to Rose and returned to his position on he back. Holding out a hand to Anya if she wanted to follow suit, he pointed in the direction of the battle "I believe that Banba is over in that direction. Could you give us a lift to her?"

Luness was about to snarl a response, but the snarl was caught in her throat when her parents appeared in front of her, in their were forms. Blinking in surprise, Luness subconsciously took a step towards her mother, her mind reeling at the sight of her.

"M-mom?" Luness said, her voice shaking along with her body at the sight of her mother. Luness folded her good ear against her head and froze in place, her thoughts of absolute confusion.

Resurrecting the dead? How was that even possible? Whimpering at the mere idea of being able to be with her mother again, Luness fell to her knees and then looked at Bigby, confusion clear on her face.

She'd watched the life leave her father's eyes mere moments after battling him to the death. She'd never seen him smile before and it was entirely unnerving to see him doing it now.

Elena left Rose to Leo, and moved on to continue defending. From her stone creation, she was wiping out demons with ease, but had known she was taking too many hits. Not feeling it was bad in this situation. She didn't feel her limit. She realized the others were regrouping, seeing Leo collecting members. Elena moved to an unprotected area, still full of flames.

She began to fight of the dark dragons, creating branches of stone from the ground to catch them first. It was becoming routine. As she watched them fall into her trap and impale their wings, she felt satisfied for a second everything was under her control. Then there was a searing heat on her back and lower right side. She was snapped out of her connection with her gargoyle and the stone beast began to fall apart in the air. Then her weapons. It took all of her power to keep the barrier around the center of the town as she went down.

She dropped from not too high in the air, but hit the ground hard. Her right arm felt numb and disconnected and her skin held ugly burns on the forearm and on her calf. Still manageable though. Covered by the armor it looked like not too terrible cuts and a bit of dis colored skin.

She used a wall of rubble to get to her feet. Sweat and blood slick on her palms as she reached upward with her functional hand. A stone wall flew upward around her as a dragon approached. Branches grew and captured the creature, crushing it under its weight.

Nobody was around it seemed. She wasn't threatened either. Elena panted lowering herself to the ground in seated position, focusing on keeping her walls up.

The visions of exploration, and of conquest were enticing. He loved exploring and to be able to see such land without being attacked or reprimanded for it would be heavenly... but... His attacks slowed, and stopped as he saw the temptations in front of him. He knew these things were illusions, but the prospect was entirely embraceable. Then he thought of Quincy, and was struck with the realization that he would have to fight her if he chose this. Looking past the visions to the raging war he saw that fighting with them would mean rampaging villages.

'Have no intention of harming those who would not otherwise harm me.' He thought to the demon, still not moving to attack the greatly weakened shadow again.

Anya felt the wounds healing up and was grateful that the pain subsided. "Thank you, Leo... I wasn't sure what else to do." She shook her head and followed him to Rose. She opened a pouch on her hip that was attached to a leather belt and slid the mice family inside to keep them safe. "Here, I'll take care of you guys, okay?" She told them, taking Leo's help and climbing aboard the red dragon's back

Rose took off and went where Leo wanted to go. She dove dodging a dragon attack. She came back up and ramped the dragon clawing at it making it plummet to the ground. Then he kept flying...

Lifting Anya up onto Rose's back Leo held onto her as the great dragon lurched forward. Only after a few seconds was he gripping onto the dragon with his legs as she dodged a dragon attack. Swinging his ax in the air, he managed to apply a few of his own attacks to the dragons side, only before Rose rammed the beast and finished the job. Leo smiled as the dragon fell to the ground below, he was very fortunate to be in such powerful company. After a few more moments of looking around Leo spotted the great bulldog, along with the giant gashes on its back. Leo pointed towards Banba with his ax and patted Rose on the side.

Rose nodded and flew lower then landed she looked to Leo. She got a wave of the fuzzy feeling again and shook her shook her head again. She snorted and blinked a few times

The arch demon seeing that he had Luness in his grasp already has turned his attention to Alexander.

" I would never harm your... beloved. " he said with an honest voice " In fact it is she who would offer these gifts to you, not me. "

Snapping with his fingers the mist stirred and in the next moment the slender figure of Quincy has appeared before the dragon, caressing him with her hands, smiling at him with a gentle smile.

" Oh Alexander. " she said " He offered me the same gifts and I have accepted. Please, join us and together we will be the happiest in the world! We would explore and travel together, just you and me! "

And she kissed the dragon on his head.

Banba looked up, noticing leo and Anya on Rose's back approaching her.

"The weather is whether the leather can hold." She shouted to them, making sure her blood didn't look like hers, rather the blood of those she had already taken down. "And the leather is fastened to the horse and has been for eons."

She stood on her hind legs, paws clenching and unclenching. As she looked around, eyes darting this way and that.

"What does the axe say?"

@Wild Born @KattRai

Leo climbed down from Rose, and held his hand out to help Anya as well. Once down, he mead his way over to Banba as she spun her riddles. He was confused by her words, but could tell she had been hurt. "Come now Banba, let me help you. You look like something caught your back and you need healing." He moved closer to her, keeping his eye open for sudden movement from the enemy or Banba.

Banba watched Leo closely, until she heard a scuffle from another Alleyway.

"The egg cracks, but the yolk is fine." She said before dashing off towards the noise. She came upon a dread raven and a soldier, and she immediately dove for the raven, causing the both of them to roll into a wall of a nearby shop. Kicking and biting with all her might, it wasn't long before the raven was lying, broken and bloody on the ground. She looked behind her, at the solider before her front legs grew feathers and she was again in the air, quickly sending foe after foe to the ground.

Leo watched as Banba took of, kicking a clawing the whole time. He turned back to the others and hopped back on Rose. "Either I'm loosing my mind or that actually made sense to me. We need to find Nyr, I sense something about her and the others that does not set well with me. Rose can you help us find her?"

Rose nodded and took off again. Soaring in the air she saw a black bubble containing Nyr and black mist was everywhere. She dorve down and flew near Nyr.

Luness let out a small whimper, a headache slowly growing in intensity inside of her. Looking at Larassa and then Bigby, Luness felt a slight confusion in the back of her head. It should be impossible to bring back the dead and even if she did, wouldn't they be different? There was no way that she could bring them back and expect them to be how they used to be when they were alive.

Still...Luness shakily got back to her feet and began to take slow, tentative steps towards her mother, her brows furrowed. If she could just touch Larassa, prove that she was real, then maybe she could decide what she wanted to do...

Yet, upon nearing Larassa, Luness froze in place again, her mind suddenly remembering Nyr being taken into the sky and being engulfed in darkness. She felt her heart skip a beat at the mere idea of looking away from Larassa though. What if she looked away and Larassa disappeared, lost in death once more?
