A proven competence and flawless track record of unviolated NDAs would probably be enough to have you be considered. Although like any other institution, having someone's recommendation would ease the process significantlyi hate both lasagna n spaghetti
Also, I have a (maybe dumb) question. How does one land in DECRA? Do the characters just get there at some point in their careers? Are they sought out? Is it a 'you need to have the contacts to get in' kind of situation? are they out on the streets handing out flyers made in ppt? I'm trying to finish my chara's background section on his CS but I'm struggling to figure out how he got up to where he is in DECRA, my brain is the size of a pea
also i'm taking the sniper character spot no one fight me for it u will lose
I wanted to provide a lenghty and detailed answer, but the subject is complicated and honestly, Yugoslavia probably would not have prevailed regardless. The main reason for Yugoslavia's unity was Tito and even with the continued existence of the USSR, the Yugoslav Wars would most likely not have been prevented. But honestly I never gave that sector of the world much thought so I'm open to discussions should you believe otherwisehello! quick question: would yugoslavia still exist under the USSR in this timeline?
yeah totally fair! i was planning on making a character with bosniak roots but regardless of the geopolitics, i think it would be fine! just given that even under yugoslavia, there were distinct regional identitiesI wanted to provide a lenghty and detailed answer, but the subject is complicated and honestly, Yugoslavia probably would not have prevailed regardless. You can change them infinitely until we actually start. But yeah, letting us know would be immensely helpful.- Are we allowed to edit/change parts of our character application, after we've submitted them to the three GM dms? (And would we have to notify y'all that we did?)
It's pretty much expected that your character knew about the existence of demons and might even have done some training regarding containment. Which isn't that hard as long as your character is part of any intelligence agency or military divisions specializing in such. This of course includes PMCs as well.- Would you prefer that our characters have known about/encountered demonic activity prior to being tapped for DECRA? (Like, is this something the agency would have looked for specifically in recruits?)
Almost every country outside of KEASA (most of east asia) is involved with DECRA one way or another. If the US is involved, Canada is most certainly involved as you've said.- How involved is Canada/the CAF in DECRA and related things? It wasn't listed as an option in the affiliation section, but I figured I'd check just in case, since Canadian military stuff usually goes really hand in hand with American/British stuff
You can pickout IRL big names like Blackwater or Wagner Group. Or just make up a custom organization that fits your character nicely. We might ask about them so just make sure you have some background prepared for custom PMCs- Did you guys have an established list of PMCs that you wanted us to pick from, if we were to go that option re: affiliation?
We're still accepting submissions from those who expressed interest on the interest check, the final deadline will likely be on the 25th of this month. You're free to make a character until then!Have you any intention of opening slots later in the story? Unfortunately exams took precedence and I wasn't able to submit my app in time orz.
They wouldn't disclose any information at all. Like most other clandestine operations with KIAs, the officers responsible for delivering the news will simply state that their sons/daughters died fighting a battle against the enemy force. If they're asked about the specifics the officers would probably just tell them it's classified and there's nothing they can do about it.Hiya! Just a quick question. How would they break the news to the families of those agents who were assumed to be KIA in the attempt to capture Bethael? I’m assuming they won’t disclose too much information about demons then since these people are civilians, but I’m just wondering what sort of explanation they would provide.
I’m just thinking about creating a character who is a relative of one of those agents. Since that whole operation is cloaked in mystery, I figured proclaiming them dead at this point would be a much easier explanation for my character to digest.
