Episode 1: The Auditions

Liam Owens
Liam was just about to stand to make his order (plain vanilla, because he lives life on the edge) when he notices a familiar face approaching. The taller boy seems friendly enough, and he's quite glad to have the company. He rakes a hand through his disheveled hair before answering. "I did, yeah. You were the one interested in drumming, right? Your voice was solid." Liam pauses to grab his bag and recalls the performance with approval; the boy had a soft voice but his pitch had been spot on. He'd be a great addition to the team. "You eating in or ordering to go?"

Trevor chuckled at being remembered as the guy interested in drumming, "yeah man I love playing the drums, your audition was awesome too very nice rendition of Try." When asked if he was eating in or ordering to go he stopped to think if his mom would mind, she can't get mad at me if it's to make new friends, "I think I'm gonna eat here, can I sit with you?"

Liam gave a sheepish smile at the compliment. "Thanks, and yeah, of course." He gestures at the open seat across from him, nudging his school bag out of the way. "I'm gonna order mine before the line gets outrageous." Glancing at his screen one last time before tucking his phone back into his pocket, he stands and crosses the short distance to the counter. "I'm Liam, by the way... in case you forgot," he adds in chagrin. With everyone's nerves on high, he figured that the names from auditions may not have stuck.

Hazel Moss - - Baker Collins

Hazel raised her eyebrows and pressed her lips together in a firm line at Mason's question. She shrugged and shifted her eyes away from the boy.

"Is anyone really a fan of Natalie? I just don't like acting fake. That's all." She said, lacing her fingers together in front of her.

Ashley turned back to them, and Hazel brightened up a bit at her words. "Just have to wait for Bake-"

At that moment, Natalie came up, Baker trailing shortly behind her with an irritated look on his face.

"Didn't know you were into those kinds of things, Kitten. Sorry to say I'm not willing to try booger play." Baker retorted at her, after her 'booger-Baker' incident.

Hazel snickered under her breath, her eyes shining playfully. "Well, lets get to my car then. I'm just ready for FroYo. It's been a while since I've gone."

Hazel began leading the way to the parking lot once more, a bit more of a skip in her step.

Baker trailed back a bit, his ego deflated in the slightest.

It's like Liam could read his mind, because honestly Trevor did forget his name in fact he forgot a lot of names. He gave a thumbs up, "nice to meet you Liam my name's Trevor". Trevor then took to the menu trying to decide what he wanted before deciding on mango strawberry and then turned to walk towards the counter with Liam.

Lyanna Mason

"I'm always a slut for food," She says with a smile, picking up her backpack from the floor beside her. "I have dance tonight though, so it has to be at least semi-healthy. Madame Dubois always gets on me for eating junk before class." Lyanna tucks her hair behind her ear and looks over her shoulder at Logan. "What I don't know is how she knows what I've eaten." The girl lowers her voice conspiratorially, whispering to him. "Do you think she has spies watching me?" With a laugh she begins walking out of the room, pausing at the door for Logan to gather his things.

Logan chuckled, put his leather jacket on, and slung his bag over his shoulder.  "You're being ridiculous," he said.  "Of course she doesn't have spies.  She's watching you through her cauldron."

He and Lyanna left the building, and he led her to his old truck.  "Someplace with healthy food," he mused.  "Okay, I think I know where to go." He fired up the truck, smiling at the satisfying growl from the engine.  The CD player started playing X 's "The World's a Mess, It's In My Kiss" as he drove them to the diner by the frozen yogurt place.  "This all right?  They have salads and meats that aren't actually fried," he said in the tones of someone discussing sacred mysteries.

Natalie's eyes twitched when they arrived in the parking lot. She rolled eyes at almost every car they've passed through for she felt like the vehicles are too cheap. The blonde could just clap her hands or ask a little bird(figuratively of course) to bring her a limo and her wish will come true. That's how easy and convenient her life is. But alas, her kindness wouldn't go beyond the point of letting these commoners enter her private vehicle and even catch a glimpse of it.

Speaking of glimpse, she needs to bless the lowlifes on social medias with a selfie and an update of what she's currently doing. Without further delay, the spoiled brat pulled her infamous glaring and sparkling pink-colored touchscreen phone and took a lot of quick snaps, instantly uploading it to her medias. In a matter of seconds her device made a lot of notification noises, she eyed the group and smiled, "Whoops, notif flood!" she raised her hand before shoving her phone in her purse, this time she didn't even bother to turn the phone silent even if in the midst of raging notifications.

Liam Owens
"Nice to meet you too, man." Liam can't help the corners of his mouth curving into a faint smile. Socializing was never his forte, but it was going extremely well with Trevor. Maybe he was adapting. That or he was still banking on his emotional high from auditions. Regardless, it felt relaxing to be chatting without his nerves getting in the way. He pays for his frozen yogurt with minimal banter between himself and the clerk, who didn't seem bothered in the slightest; she was more preoccupied with eyeing the tall college guy sitting a couple tables down. Liam resists a laugh and just shrugs at Trevor before grabbing his order and sitting back down at his previous seat.

 Ashley Lacroix

Ashley turned back and smiled at the sight of Natalie and Mason,"Oh hey guys! Done with your little heart to heart already?" She giggled a bit before holding out both hands "Not assuming anything over here, just glad to see you two again after all that time we spent apart."

She slid her hands back into her pockets and began following the rest of the group again, immediately switching subjects as she glanced at the surrounding cars "Yeah, I had a car once. Fixed it up with my uncle for when I got my license. But soon the mechanic said there was no mechanic on earth who could salvage anything after it got wrecked. So now this Lacroix's bike-bound most of the time, except when I walk. Can't miss leg day."

After that completely unnecessary bit of information, Ashley thought about the name of the place Hazel was taking them to "Froyo? Eh, haven't been there in a while either, but I do remember having some great times here."

She specifically remembered the feeling of thrown frozen yogurt impacting with her body, and being blindsided by a pistachio cone slamming into her head. A stupid looking grin spread across Ashley's face as she glanced up in reverence "Good times." she said with a wistful sigh.

Lorelai sighed, shrugging. "I am happy, I just have this feeling I'm not gonna make any friends in the club, that I'm just gonna be some background person." She admitted, and though she did want to keep the conversation going she felt like he wasn't interested in it, maybe that was just her anxiety getting to her. "You can stay if you want, I don't really have anywhere to be, or anyone to talk to right now." Lorelai started to pack up her stuff anyways, shoving her phone on her pocket and throwing the bag over her shoulder. Right now, she really regretted skipping the volleyball meet. At least in volleyball she knew she'd have something to do for the rest of the day, even if it was just her tagging along and keeping to herself.

He smiled at her and nodded "I see. Well talk with the teacher. She is pretty nice and I am sure she will give you solos or a main role in the song." he said "My name is Nathan, I will be playing for you all" he said stretching his right hand for her to shake.

"Oh and I would love to keep talking with you. But isn't here a bit weird?" he said, as he looked around "The school is over so we should go talk somewhere else." he got up as he finished his sentence "Looks like I am bit like you. Someone who stays on the back, helping others and stuff but never really be the main actor" he smiled

"Right, of course. I forgot about the cauldron," she says with a laugh as they walk up to his truck. She's quiet for the ride, her hand out the window, letting the wind move it in a wave as they drive, the music and the sounds of the town surrounding her. When they finally stop outside the diner, Lyanna notices a group of people who'd auditioned for glee club headed toward the frozen yogurt shop. "Yeah this is fine," she says, hopping out of the car and gathering her hair over her shoulder. "Fried meats are the best meats, you know," the girl bumps Logan's hip with hers as he comes around the truck to meet her. "Man I miss fried meats..." She can barely manage to keep a straight face as she wistfully looks off into the distance.

Trevor was kind of annoyed at the clerk for barely listening to him while he tried to order, she was to busy looking at some college guy to pay attention to Trevor. He looked at Liam with a 'are you serious' look and Liam just shrugged obviously holding back a laugh at Trevor's expense. After what seemed like forever Trevor finally got his beloved frozen yogurt and took his seat across Liam, "can you believe that clerk, I thought I was gonna have to ask the dude out for her!"

Logan laughs and returns the light hip-bump.  They head inside the diner and take a table by the window.  The waitress takes their order and Logan smiles at Lyanna.  "So, dancing and Glee club," he said.  "Plus homework.  I don't think I'd have the guts to take all of that on."  He idly picks up his spoon and balances it on his nose.  "So what do think of your... gleemates?  Is that the word?"

Liam Owens
At Trevor's indignation, Liam can't help the full laugh that slips out. He shakes his head at the remark, pausing to gain control of his voice again before responding. "That would have made this way hilarious," he says with a grin. "But best to leave them be." He gestures back at the counter, where an elderly woman was gaping at the clerk, clearly affronted by her lack of customer service. Meanwhile the Froyo rep was glaring at a young blonde woman who was swooping in on her man, the yogurt cup she was in the middle of handling long forgotten as it began to overflow. Liam can't help it, he pushes his head down against the table to stifle his renewed laughter. "I'm sorry, people watching can really derail me." He chokes out, smiling wistfully. "How's the yogurt?" He picks up a plastic spoon to prod at his own cup before sampling a bite, still wearing a look of amusement.

"I tell you Liam, what a nerve some people have" Trevor said with a laugh as he took a bite of his frozen yogurt. Serves her right that the guy she's been SOOO busy gawking at is talking to another girl Trevor thought with a smirk. .at Liams comments about people watching and inquiring about Trevor's yogurt he looked up and chuckled, "it's alright I can get pretty distracted by people watching too, and my yogurt is delicious, how's yours?"

"S'good," he replies after swallowing his first bite, already sticking another spoonful into his mouth. It was a refreshing change from his typical diet of greasy takeout his mom brought home. After a few more bites, Liam could feel his energy beginning to wane. All the excitement from earlier was dissipating to be replaced with apprehension for tomorrow. "Do you think the others at school will know who got into Glee Club?" He spoke in nonchalance, more disgruntled about people's view of him than any backlash from the student body. He figured Glee wasn't any better or worse than, say, football... but clearly not everyone shared his opinion. Trevor didn't seem like the type to care either way what people thought of him, but then again Liam didn't know him well enough to make any solid assumptions.

@Tydguy75

"Hmm I haven't thought about that, who knows," it's true Trevor hadn't thought about if people would know who all got into Glee club and how'd they start treating them. "The way some people acted when I asked them about glee club was like it's the plague." Being at a new school with no friends, strike that one friend, his status in high school might matter and Trevor didn't know what Glee club could do to him.

Liam gives an absentminded nod, recalling his own experience with students and their reactions to Glee Club. If he really thought about it, he would acknowledge that yes, some aspects of Glee could be viewed as uncool. But they preformed a variety of genres and there were various types of dance involved, some of which he knew were 'in'.  polishing off his frozen yogurt, he stood to throw out the disposible cup and spoon before wandering back to their booth. "Guess we'll find out tomorrow. If anyone gives you a hard time, let me know." He playfully lifts a fist and pounds it dramatically into his opposite hand, smiling broadly. He hadn't been in school long enough to have an established reputation, so he was all for defending their club. He wasn't much of a fighter, but he was sure he could give as good as they got. If he was going to be seen in a negative light, well... might as well be for something he actually did and not for something that was assumed. "I better get going, I'm still trying to get caught up with the workload. See you tomorrow," he said with a slight wave, hauling his book bag over his shoulder before departing.

Danny Garrett

Danny arrived at his new school. He was unpacking but forced to go to school and do it when he got back to the foster home. The kid was a troublemaker so him arriving extremely late was a good way to make a good first impression.

He walked into the building, electric guitar in hand, and stopped off at the reception. He got his schedule, like he'd actually go to class, and walked into the main building.

He walked around for a while until he saw a notice board. He looked at the different things there. One that caught his eye was Glee Club. The only problem was that all the name boxes had been filled out. He quickly got a pen and wrote his name along the bottom in cursive. He saw where the auditions were being held and ran to the room. He walked through the door and panted, "Hey everyone...just...ran like...a mile but...I'm here..." He was out of breath. He wasn't a physical person but he could run. He hadn't ran that fast since he was running from the cops.

(My closing post, since it seems like @giraffesarebetter is incommunicado.)

Logan and Lyanna chatted a bit over lunch.

Later in the day, while working in his dad's garage, Logan realized he was once again singing with his music.  He thought about what Lyanna had said about joining glee club.  It wasn't that he was antisocial, but Logan wasn't big on clubs or teams.  He'd rather just do things with friends.

But it could be fun, performing.  He wasn't shy.

Maybe...
