Episode 1: The Auditions

Logan blushed at her compliment.  It wasn't that he was shy, exactly, but he couldn't help but feel both pleased and embarrassed.  "Thanks," he muttered, scratching his nose--and leaving a smudge of motor oil.

When Lyanna asked about the engine, he began going over all sorts of technical information: four-cylinder this, blah-blah ccs, air-cooled that.

 Seeing her expression, he cleared his throat, ceasing his lecture.  "Er, anyway," he said, "how'd your tryout go?  You were going for glee club, right?"

Mason grinned at the boy and girl. "Yeah, my name's Mason. Nice to meet you." His smile grow from the compliment he received from her. "Thank you very much , you have a beautiful voice and the song choice complimented it well."  He turned to the boy and smiled at him also. "Your audition was amazing as well. We have so much talent in this school. "

Mason shifted in his chair , he was starting to get uncomfortable in the seat from sitting to long. Standing up he stretched his arms above his head. "Where're ya of tae next?"  He asked them.

Natalie's notifications were flooding, if her phone was low-quality and cheap it'd probably hang and explode any minute. She puffed her cheeks before brushing a stray lock of her blonde hair into the back of her ear. A comment stood out like a pastel blending in with dark colors, apparently the commenter complimented her as if he was there or he witnessed her performance. She looked at the name and it was spelled Mason. The queen bee took a moment to try and remember the name while tapping her chin lightly. A few seconds later it finally occured to her that he was a co-member in the Glee Club.

I know right?

She hit the reply button before she walked towards the auditorium's door. On her way, she passed through three people, two men and a girl. She spared a glance and realized that the Mason-guy was in the little group, she approached them with a blinding grin. "Hi." she smiled sweetly at each of them, a total wolf in a sheep's clothing, "So you guys made it too, huh?" she said faking the friendliest tone she could ever muster. She guessed she needed to socialize with her co-members if she want to make the best out of her life in the socially misfit (that totally contrasts the pink girl) club.

Nathan smiled when the auditions were over. Everyone seemed to be amazing and in a good mood. He open his guitar case and grabbed his instrument, carefully putting it there. After closing the case and locking it so it wouldn't open he got up and thought about everyone.

Each one had a different personally and the songs were from multiple times. HE was quite happy to play his guitar while they sang. He sighed and walked through the door of the auditorium and when he passed by the new Glee Club members he said "You guys did a wonderful work. Good Job" he said smiling before walking away and getting ready to go home. He started whisteling through the school halls and walking towards his home.

He sighed. He shouldn't have said what he did to the new members. He talked like he was better and that was a lie. Plus, he didn't have the courage they had to join this Club which is a joke to everyone at the school. Nate just needed to stay on the background playing music for them. That way he would probably not be considered a joke.

Mason kept from rolling his eyes. He knew a fake smile when he saw it and this girl had one of the most fake ones he's saw. He knew not all popular people were rude (since he is was quite well known around the school and hangs out with most of the popular people) but at least she was making an effort to be nice. "Yep , we're all in the glee club from now on " He said smiling back at her. He ran a hand through his hair and sat down again, he was quite fidgety sometimes.

Hazel Moss - - Baker Collins

Hazel was about to answer Mason when another voice interrupted her. She knew the voice all too well. And, as much as she wanted to ignore it, she was going to make peace and just try to have a good year. "Yeah, we're all in. Seems like a fun enough time. I'm sure we'll have a great year." Hazel turned back to Mason, one of her eyebrows slightly raised in irritation.

"Anyways-"

"Isn't she the one that bullied you freshman year?" Baker piped up, his eyes dragging over Natalie's body. She was a very pretty girl and did have a bodacious bod, but he didn't go for total bitches.

"I don't know what you're talking about Baker. I think we're going to go get some frozen yogurt. You're welcome to join us, Mason." Hazel smiled, trying to keep peace.

"You can come too, Natalie. Since Hazel says you're not the girl I'm thinking of." Baker said, a smug grin shifting over his face as he looked back at Hazel. Oh, yes. He definitely remembered Natalie.

Mason raised an eyebrow at what Baker said but decided not to ask anything at this point in time. He turned to Hazel and gave her a reassuring smile.  "I would love to join you guys " He stood up again. Mason quickly checked his pockets for his wallet and sighed in relief when he felt it in his pocket.

Liam made it about halfway down the street before deciding he wasn't in a rush to get home. He ran a steady hand through his hair, looking around him for anything to distract him from the mountain of homework vying for his concentration. He was already behind from transferring schools, but he hadn't exactly been on top of his workload since starting either. There was a yogurt place within eyesight and it seemed like a good enough stopping point. Worst case, he could always take a look at his assignments there. Maybe the change of scenery would jog a little creativity that he'd been missing the past few days. Shrugging in defeat, he changed his course to the new destination, his mind still full of thoughts of music and new faces from half an hour ago.

After it was announced that everyone was in, all the students seemed to dispersed and Trevor was a bit upset. He wanted to talk to his new fellow members but didn't want to just invite himself to go with them. As he was walking out the door to his car, Trevor got a text from his mom

Can you get some frozen yogurt on your way home?

He sighed as he sent her a 'yes ma'am' as he headed to the yogurt shop close by.

Ashley Lacroix

Ashley had given herself a pat on the back as soon as the teacher had left, she managed to make it in. How about that?

Of course, Ash knew from experience that things would only get harder from here on out. Of course, she could only care about any oncoming difficulties to a minimal degree. This whole things was to find something to fill her time with, and if she ended up not cutting it in the future then so be it. She never liked mulling over stuff like that, so she instead finally rose from her chair and glanced to a group of accepted club members who had stayed behind.

"Hey ya'll" Ashley waved before stuffing her hands in her pockets and walking over leisurely "Look at us here, lyrical masters crushing rhymes and having good times."

She chuckled a bit at that as she glanced between them "Aw that's right, I'mma have to memorize all your names and stuff. No biggie, I'm adaptable. Hey, you guys going anywhere after this? I got literally nothing to do for the rest of the day, was gonna hang with some of my pals after this but I'm sorta forbidden from bugging them for the rest of the week."

Astonished that she even made it into the club, Lorelai felt all the anxiety melt away and took a deep breath. Yes, she thought, I finally have a purpose in this school. If anything, Lorelai was rather lonely in this school, outside of volleyball she didn't have a lot of friends. She hoped Glee Club would change that, but her hope dwindled in less than a minute when she noticed everyone going into small groups to talk. She remained seated stage-left, unsure of what to do now. She missed a volleyball meet for these auditions, so she had been excused from the rest of her classes. She pulled her phone from her bag and started to text anyone she knew if they wanted to hang out after school because she figured she could stand a few hours alone, but nobody was responding.

Finally, she stood up and walked off the stage into the rows and rows of seats before her. "Here's to hoping," she mumbled softly, walking out into the cafeteria and setting her stuff back down on a nearby table, just so she can call her mom. Her mom was very involved in her school's Glee Club, so Lorelai though she'd like to hear that Lorelai got in. "Mom? Hey!" She started, sitting down. "You know how I told you my school was starting a new Glee Club? I got in!" Her facial expression did not match her voice, she sounded happy, but for some reason inside she didn't feel at all happy. But, she couldn't worry now, the first practice would decide if she really belonged in the group or not.

Nathan passed the cafeteria and saw her talking with someone on her phone. It was weird. Her face did not match her voice. She was talking like she was really excited and happy for being in the new Glee Club, but her face was a bit blank. He raised an eyebrow and sighed.

His legs changed course and he walked towards her. He didn't know why he going to her but it his legs were still moving. To not be awkward he decided to talk "H-hey. Can I talk with you? Like after the phone call?" he asked but quickly adding "If you are too busy it's ok! I understand" he says smiling. and sitting on a chair of a different table. He put the bottom of hus guitar case on the ground while the rest leaned on his chair. He kept his smile while doing all this. Truly he was nervous as he was probably messing with something that it wasn't his business.

Natalie clicked her tongue in irritation when a random guy popped out of nowhere and complimented their respective performances right before the said guy disappeared as fast as he appeared. He sounded like he was the better on stage and it annoyed the light out of her. Still, her false friendly facade reconstructed themselves as she faced the group again.

The blonde didn't even blinked or showed any sign that she was affected when the guy who sang before her (who was called Baker or something)  on the stage made a side comment about her being a bully towards the brunette girl. Her icy blue eyes found themselves studying the only fellow girl in the little group. Her bright blue orbs seemed to pierce every part of Hazel's body she could ever see. She only remembered who the girl was (or rather what she did to the poor girl back then) when her gaze found the other's eyes. 'Was she the one who danced horribly, the one who I gave a box full of spiders or was she both?' pushing these thoughts aside, she only flashed them her Natalie-Willson's-trademark smile.

"That's..." she paused to shrug and look innocent, "probably not me." the blonde fluttered her long eyelashes at them. Of course that was her though. Only she could pull of stunts like those without getting into trouble especially for a freshman. Fortunately, the loud girl from earlier (which kinda annoyed her too) broke the tension by inserting herself into the group.

Memorize their names? Natalie made a mental note to make sure to carve her own name on the talkative(for her) girl's mind. "Oh hey, Mushy." she intentionally said Ashley's name wrong and pretended to realize her mistake when she let out a gasp , "Whoops, I got your name wrong. It was Ashley instead, right? Don't worry I'm pretty bad with names too." she plastered a fake smile on. "So where are you guys going?" she turned her attention to the other members as well. She reckoned that it probably wouldn't kill her if she bestowed these people the gift that was called her prescence.

@JaCrispy @OhFallenMars @GrieveWriter

Ashley Lacroix

Ashley tilted her head to the side, glanced up to the ceiling, and placed a hand to her chin in thought "Mushy? Heh, haven't heard that one in a while!"

She gave a small laugh before waving it off "Hey, don't worry about it Nat, you call me whatever you feel comfortable with. I get nicknames all the time, so its no biggie."

"However!"She raised a finger and placed it to her own head, with a light smile "Don't expect me not to remember you of all people. My old pals used to talk all about you. Don't know if they still do, I've kinda been forbidden from contacting them for a while now, but what I can remember seems pretty flattering. My new gang talks about you too sorta, so you must be awesome if you can leave an impression on so many people!"

@ThatDove

Jasmine tapped her red pen on the desk enthusiastically. Tried as she might, she couldn't concentrate on the reports before her, she was just too hyped up and excited about the club. The auditions were amazing and so many students showed up, sticking it to the fellow teachers who criticized her. Her mind was already running through songs to try out, forcing herself to dismiss those she approved of but knew were beyond the students' time. Her phone buzzed at her side a quick glance revealed it was her boyfriend.

"Hey, hun. Sorry I'm going to be late today, having a hard time grading these papers. But auditions were amazing, you wouldn't believe the amount of talent these students have."

"When will you be home?"

"Oh, I"m not sure. As soon as I'm done." He obviously didn't share her enthusiasm.

"I got a movie for us to watch."

"Sorry, I can come home and grade while we watch?" Her question was answered with a monotone grunt which she assumed was a yes. She packed up her papers, it was going to be a long night, papers, glee club and a movie. "Okay, I'm on my way." She assured him as she packed up the stack of papers.

Hazel Moss - - Baker Collins

Hazel pressed her lips together in slight irritation. "FroYo. The frozen yogurt place on 2nd." She said, trying to keep her voice calm. The last thing she wanted to do right now was pretend to be friendly with Natalie of all people, but she was going to play face and just try to be cool about it. "We could all probably fit in my car." Unfortunately Baker still knew how to push all of her buttons.

At least she knew how to push his back.

Hazel linked her arms through Mason's and Ashley's and began dragging them out of the auditorium, leaving Baker to Natalie.

She's trying to piss me off. Baker mused to himself, a thoughtful expression on his face.

"Alright, Natalie. What do you say? FroYo?" Baker slung his arm over her shoulder, drawing her in close to him and leading her out of the auditorium.

"For what it's worth, I know you're a bitch and I know exactly who you are. Also, you're not as amazing as you think you are. But I'm going to welcome you around with open arms until I get my hands on another lover, right? Then you can continue being your bitchy Queen B self and I'm going to ignore you. How does that sound?" He asked, his expression a bit smug.

He wasn't expecting her to take anything seriously. He just wanted to irritate her as well.

Mason looked at Hazel concerned. When they got far enough from the other two he let his curiosity get the best of him. "Are you okay with her , you look really annoyed " He looked around the corridor, noticing that there was hardly anyone there , except the occasional couple of people leaning against the lockers. " You can tell me if something's wrong " He said encouraging her with a smile.

@OhFallenMars

Her mother, ecstatic as expected, congratulated Lorelai and promised a her big dinner in celebration. They also made an agreement not to tell her father, who was very opposed to the arts as he felt they were distracting. Her mother was driving, but had her phone on speaker so she could use both hands. "Honey that's so great! I'm heading on the interstate right now, I'll call you back okay?" She said, to which Lorelai nodded and readied herself to hang up. "Alright, love you. Mwah." She made an exaggerated kissing sound before ending the call and turning to the guy who had been speaking to her while she was on the phone. "Sorry, that was my mom. What'd you say?"

@JPTheWarrior

Nathan smiled "Hey. Aren't you happy that you entered the club?" he asks "I mean the way you talked to your mother was... weird" he says "Like you sounded happy but your face didn't show it." he says and then laughs "Sorry I sound crazy" he says getting up and grabbing his guitar's case "Anyways you were awesome at the audition" he smiled "I should go now. I am just bothering you" he said smiling and starting to walk away.

@raddish

These people are trying her. They don't know how lucky they are for Natalie to bless them with her kindness even though it's false. She could forgive the loudmouth for calling her Nat and show the last kindness she could ever muster for the day because she called her awesome and subtlety showered her with compliments and she could ignore the other guy too because of his comment but this Hazel and Baker? Oh no, no, no. Her eyebrows twitched when Hazel dragged Ashley and Mason away from the blonde and Baker.

"Alright Natalie, what do you say? Froyo?" the man left with her put his arm around her blissfull shoulder, pushing her closer to him as they walked out the auditorium. Now what Baker said afterwards was what almost made her veins pop. His action, his tone, his words, everything annoyed or angered her even.

 "FroYo? What do I say?" she paused to pretend that she was thinking the question throughly before she slowly raised her middle finger glamorously, "I say fuck you." she let out smirk. She raised five slim fingers in front of the man's face, "First of all, I'm not a bitch, I'm the queen bitch." she put a finger down, "Secondly, everyone knows who I am." another finger down, "Third, bitch please I'm amazing as hell. A fabulous hell." her smirk grew even more confident as another finger was lowered, "Fourth, close your arms because I don't need it and your armpit smells." the fourth finger was down and all that's left was the notorious middle one, "And last but not the least, I sound great." she fluttered her long eyelashes innocently as if she didn't said anything at all towards Baker. She exited while chuckling sinisterly and left him behind as she followed Hazel and the two people she dragged away.

It took her a few moments to catch up to the retreating group, "Hey, how rude..leaving me all alone with Booger-whoopsie, I mean with Baker." she made a reference about her statement of how she sucks at memorizing names earlier with Ashley.

Lyanna Mason

"Well, I got in. Everyone did." Lyanna smirks and steps forward, rubbing the oil off his nose. "I still think you should have tried out." Logan was a good singer, he really was. But it 'wasn't his thing', or so he said. But he still belted out his disney songs while he was working. " I think it'll be... interesting to say the least. There's a lot of different personalities in the club, and a lot of great voices. I'm pretty excited to see it all come together." The blue-haired girl beings rambling a bit about how she thinks the voices of everyone will blend together, but she realizes that Logan never knows what she's saying when she gets into the technicalities of music. "Sorry, I got excited." There was a bit of an embarrassed blush with her words, flushing her cheeks with a delicate pink. "Are you going home soon?"

Sorry for the late reply! senior year is literally killing me

Ashley was about to keep speaking to Natalie when Hazel suddenly dragged her away. Ashley glanced back as she and Mason were brought out of the Auditorium and into the halls of the school. She didn't really wanna seem defensive, so she decided not to get too distracted by the sudden interruption. So she kept quiet as they were dragged away until finally Mason seemed to speak up. Sure, Ashley had noticed that Hazel seemed a bit heated, not in the good way either, but she didn't want to seem like the type to make assumptions. What if Hazel was just concerned about something entirely unrelated? Then labeling her as annoyed and calling it out would be a bit of a risk. Ashley had lost friends she'd had for years for much less.

She almost decided not to get involved with the conversation, she could busy herself speaking to one of the teens leaning up against lockers. One of them was a girl she recognized as one of her old friends, she'd know that over sized dyed Mohawk anywhere. Ashley had even given a wave of greeting and her trademark casual smile, only to receive a well-timed middle finger in return. Ashley decided to get involved in that conversation anyway, lest she be left to intrude upon someone else's time.

So she turned back to Hazel after Mason spoke "Don't have to of course," she shrugged as she rubbed her neck and smiled up at the ceiling "we could hop in that awesome car you mentioned and grab some treats instead, Haze Craze. Story Time or not I'm down for anything."

Logan merely smiled and let Ly ramble on about music as he tidied up his work station and put away his equipment.  It was only fair.

"I don't know," he said to her notion that he join Glee club.  He took off his coveralls and put them away.  "I don't really do clubs.  I mean, having to pretend to be friends with people just because you share an interest." He shrugged his big shoulders and started scrubbing the motor oil from his callused hands at the steel sink on the wall.  "Plus, yeah I do like music, and I like singing, but in front of people?  I don't know..." It could be interesting, and it would be fun to hang out with Lyanna, but...

"Yeah, I'm pretty much done here," he said.  "You wanna get something to eat?"

Liam Owens

A little bell chimed as Liam stepped into the frozen yogurt shop, the young clerk behind the counter greeting him as he entered. He reciprocated with an awkward smile before ducking into the nearest booth, thrusting his book bag across from him. It was still an adjustment for Liam to hang out in public alone, but he was acclimating. He pulled his phone from his pocket and texted his best friend back in Phoenix, asking how she was. He still saw her on facebook, usually in group photos with a cluster of friends. Liam was just a small blip on her friend radar whereas she had consumed his. He exhaled slowly, trying to turn his pity party into a party of celebration, shooting her a follow-up text stating he was officially a member of Glee Club. While waiting for a reply, he browsed the list of flavors, more as a distraction than because he was hungry. Plus it helped him feel less like a loser when he pretended to be busy.

Trevor walked into the frozen yogurt shop phone in hand reading his mom's order one more time to make sure he didn't get it wrong he looked around the shop before he noticed a guy sitting in one of the boths, hey I'm pretty sure he auditioned for glee club too Trevor decided to walk over to him. "Hey didn't you audition for Glee club?"
