As we all followed the ice bender, Flora was awestruck, happy because Willow was alright. But confused on how did this day turn from a nice normal relaxing bench day to a running away with strangers which were more of her kind, benders, that's what they were called.

While running (she almost floated across the ground - similar to a hare running with pounces), she dashed to run by Sapphire's side. She said with a surprised and impressed grin, "A fire bender, huh? That's awesome! Why didn't you tell me?!"

"I hope I'm not acting like a burden." She said making her way to Willow's side.

 

[OrangeCandy]

"A burden?" Willow huffed out, running beside Sapphire and now Flora as well, "No way! We're friends now." She gave a genuine smile to the other girl, then added, "I just feel bad that we got you into this trouble... You know, I bet if you head back to town, they won't even know you were with us. It's not safe traveling with benders." Will pouted. She didn't want to take this perfectly nice girl away from her family in the village, and into a life of constant running.

"Nah don't worry about it, this IS my life." She said as she made some magnifecent roses to give each girl, even the ones she didn't know. Each rose she made was special and matched a girls element. She even made one for herself as she placed hers on her head like a clip.

" nice to meet you yuuki. I'm Flora. About the market I could go, I mean they know that you, willow, sapphire and the water bender are benders. It's not safe for any of you but they haven't seen me use my powers so they won't think I'm a bender. It's the best way. So what do u need?" She explained to yuuki.

"Thanks for the rose." She weakly smiled, putting it in her hair so it wouldn't ruin.

"I understand" I've never told anyone besides my older broth- never mind that. The point is I get it, it's tough being different." She hoped that reassured Sapphire.

After suggesting that Flora go back to town and save herself from a life of an outlaw, she surprises Willow, "Here," Flora says, holding out her hand. Suddenly a single white rose sprouts from her palm, and she gives it to Willow carefully. Willow thanks the girl, entranced by all of the surprises this day has brought. Benders, Willow thinks to herself in complete surprise, We're a group of benders - and entire group! They can't take us away to be hanged if we're all together - we can give them a fight! And maybe... Willow continues thinking, this time with hope, Maybe we can even save some other benders along the way.


"Sorry I didn't tell you... I think we all know why." Saph finally answers Will's question with a grimace. Willow could understand that. The world isn't safe for benders.


Finally approaching the stranger's cottage, Willow is grateful for her generosity. "Thank you." Willow says to the compassionate girl who invited the group inside, "Thank you so much, but..." She trails off, thinking about the group's situation. "I don't know if it's safe for us to spend the night," She explains, stroking her new pet that she decided to name 'Matches'. "If those grunts didn't see us come here, this will definitely be the first place they check."

So your all benders too. Wow! I didnt know that we could different control elements. Uncle said for me not to use my powers unless it a emergency.


That's right says yuuki's uncle coming out from a small barn left to the cottage

"Ok carrots, onions and sage. Got it. Be back soon everyone. Hello Yuuki's uncle" she said while passing by him go get through the door and out to the village. She decided to returned to the clothing lady's store. Quickly the nice lady got her everything she needed she tried to pay her but she refused. Right as she was about to exit, the lady stopped her.


"Excuse me dear but where on earth did you get that green flower in your hair?" Oh god, the flower!-she thought, trying to cover it. "I just...Found it" she said nervously. "No, no that's a green rose, you don't just find those... Wait oh my goodness! Bender!! Help!!" She freaked out. I panics and wrapped vines around her trying to make her stop. Too late, she fled she shop with guards chasing her. She made a vine wall stopping the guards. They will find a way but this will give me just enough time to go back to the cabin and flee with everyone, she thought. When she finally made it to Yuuki's cottage, out of breath just having time to explain everything. She stood there waiting for a reaction/response.

Upon Flora's flustered entrance, Sapphire got her to slow down enough so that the group could understand what she was trying to say. "The lady at the Tailor's," Flora explained in a rush, "She knew I was a bender, from my green rose!" She exclaimed. Willow frowned, "But you said you stopped the guards?" Flora explained how she held the guards off, creating a thick wall of thorny vines. "Wow!" Willow was impressed, in awe of how strong Flora's command over nature was. She couldn't express her admiration though, they had to move - and fast.


"Hey, guys, we have to move. They'll be here any minute." The young air bender said with surprising force. She didn't say it to be bossy, she just didn't want any of her new found allies to be hurt. "Well..." Willow added, deep in thought. They never said they wanted to travel with me... She thought with a frown, looking around at all of the girls that she had just met, and already considered friends. She finally continued her thoughts aloud, "Well, you don't have to come with me... But, I mean... I think we could do well together. A group of misfit benders..."

"I'm going with you. But if you guys want to be safe then you'll come too." Flora noticed Willow's frown.


"I wouldn't want anyone of my new friends to get captuered." She hugged Willow to show her that she trusted her.

Willow's eyes shined at Flora's words. She'd never really had a group of friends before. Holding back happy tears, Flora gave Willow a warm and reassuring hug. "I wouldn't want anyone of my new friends to get captured." The nature bender continued, encouraging the rest of the group to flee with her and Willow. The two girls stood together firmly, hoping that the rest of their friends would join together.

Amanda put the rose in her hair." Thank you and I'll follow you guys where ever you go. You're my family now and family has to stick together." Amanda gave a half smile to the group.

Yuuki's uncle says she right you have to leave us yuuki. Yuuki's aunt hands everyone as much food as they can carry and yuuki some clothes. Yuuki hugs her aunt and uncle good bye. I am ready guys says yuuki.


Head towards the river yuuki's uncle yells.

Alright, what about you Sapphire? You coming?" Flora said nervously.

She gave a small smile. "Yeah.. Ill come."

"Yay, so it's obvious, we must leave, and go towards the river lie Yuuki's uncle said. "Thanks for everything, here's your groceries." She told Yuuki's uncle while giving him the 3 materials she was sent to buy.

"Okay!" Willow smiled, pumping her fist into the air, "Alright, let's go!"


Looking around at all of her friends running into the night made her smile. A reserved fire bender named Sapphire, pleasant and smart, Willow's first friend. Young and creative, the nature bender Flora. Amanda, a sweet and analytical water bender. Yuuki, the bubbly and happy ice bender. Glancing around, she considered, Maybe... just maybe we can make a difference. Then deciding to stop thinking and just appreciate the moment, Willow bounded with the others through the forest and towards the river.


Once they got there, which of the girls would take the role as strategist? Who would be in charge of navigation? Which bender would make sure the group had enough gold to sustain their lives? How would they plan on improving their bending? Maybe, eventually, they would need someone to keep tabs on law enforcement too.

Yuuki thinks to herself that now she on her own for the first time. She starts to tear up thinking of her uncle and aunt. Yuuki wonders if she will see them again. As she thinks of this it starts to snow around her and her new friends.

"Brr..." Flora starts chilling up. She walks towards Yuuki, and asks, " you ok? Are you going to miss your family?"

 

[OrangeCandy]

"I'm sorry about your family..." Willow said to Yuuki with a frown, "But your uncle seemed happy that you were able to go out on an adventure. You'll see your aunt and uncle again." She put a careful arm on Yuuki's shoulder in an attempt to calm her down. Seeing that Flora was taking care of her, Willow walked over to the two older benders, curious to see what they thought the group should do next. @Shawna @midnightrose

"Its sad that you guys miss your family." Amanda paused and looked at the group." I sure don't miss my family. My dad left and my so called mother started using drugs and abused me every day. That's why I have all these scars on my body." She said a bit coldly. At the thought of those memories, a tear slipped out of Amanda's eye and it started to drizzle rain around them.
