Fantasy Elemental Kingdom

(MelonBread has been busy, I talk to him a lot. He's been doing things and hardly has time.)
(Oh, he's also sick.)

(Sorry, haven't been getting alerts D;)
Ina sighed "I'm not quite sure...I don't know the keeper personally, but I hadn't felt the guardian's presence since the breaking morn..." she led the horse away from the poisonous plants that grew in her small garden, careful not to step on any insects or buds "Be sure to stay put and heal before you out, I suggest hiring guard to protect you in your travels so you do not get ambushed again...There are thieves and bandits who would love to snatch away a life for a single coin...please be careful..." the white dog suggested in worry, feeding the animal a carrot root to keep it busy. With a light heart but an innocent mind, she was not one to let a stranger fall helplessly in the wood "But if you have no coin for such...I will gladly protect you until you find this woman." Ina offered as she enjoyed the sweet breeze through the leaves of the trees.

Serephene watched as Ina talked, leading the horse away from plants, seemingly careful not to step on any life forms. She listened to the woman, taking in her advice. "Ah, I'd rather not have anyone accompany me," she said. "I'm not good with people." She watched the horse consume an orange root and replied to Ina's offer. "I was only wondering where the Keeper was. I wandered into her forest when I was injured, and I felt that there was a Keeper for that particular one, but she wasn't present. I've already troubled you enough. Thank you for your offer, but I'm sure I'll be fine on my own."

Ina bowed her head politely to the young girl as she pulled herself up on the royal horse in an awkward manner as her cloak got in the way. "Alright. If you insist. But at least take the medicinal paste, and keep yourself safe when you travel. If I come across your blood again, I'm not sure if I'll be able to control myself next time." the mysterious girl warned, forcing a smile with her sharp canine teeth. Her humanity was limited even to the greatest of her willpower and memory, it's difficult to live in a land filled with war and bloodshed when one is cursed to run berserk at the scent of it. She patted the animal's ears and grasped its well-kept reins "I will return this horse to the castle...please, take anything you need from my home before you leave." Ina waved a farewell before galloping off into the dense wood towards the city.

Arceonus stopped a little bit into the forest. He could now smell the presence of other people now that he was down wind of them. " Magic girl, dog and horse, a knight girl or sweet smelling guy," Acreonus said to himself as he identified the smells. "Weird I wonder if one of them is the Keeper. If i had to take a guess I would say the magic girl." After getting a lock on the sent he began to chase after it the moons starting to rise in the sky.

As he ran through the forest night settled and the moon took its hold of the sky. "This day has really gone by fast," Arceonus said as he looked up at the moon " It's a good moon tonight." As the light of the moon charged his body his ears and tail became visible due to their storing of excess energy. The moon was only a crescent so he did not gain full power but he was at least able to hold his true form which always made him happy.

Arceonus was able to cross the forest with even greater speeds and he quickly came upon an area that smelled of herbs and flowers. Moments later he tracked the end of the scent to the inside of a cave. As expected there was a young girl who looked like she was getting ready to leave. "Hello are you this keeper I have been hearing so much about," Arceonus asked as he smell blood soon after "And are you hurt?"

Serephene caught sight of the gleaming canine teeth as Ina prepared to take the horse back to the castle. Then she galloped off into the forest, headed towards her destination. Serephene got up, gathered the medical paste Ina prepared for her and placed it safely into her bag. Needing nothing else, she prepared to go, but felt that she needed to repay Ina for her kind deeds. She dug out a loaf of bread from her, one that she had baked on her way here with the help of a woman's oven. She wrapped it in the remaining cloth she had and placed it safely at the mouth of the cave, hoping that it was to Ina's taste.

Serephene turned around, a bit startled by a voice that she didn't recognize. "Ah...I'm only visiting. I'm not the Keeper, though I was looking for her." Serephene looked at the male...he could smell her blood? "I got injured, but it's been taken care of."

Ina trotted the horse throughout the forest and into city gates, bumping awkwardly on it's back as the moon gleamed over her hooded figure. She watched the families with their wives and children disappear into their warm homes, shutting their shutters and tucking their beings safely into their dens. Travelling vendors as they packed for the night, she began waving to them as the stallion sauntered by; knowing many from her travels and sells here.

Ina looked around curiously as she slowed the large white horse in the residential districts, imagining how quaint their small homes are, she's never experienced life as middle-class resident. She had only know he far ends of life, a bed at a regal castle and a den in the isolated reaches of land, oh. And a cave of course. Nothing in between. It was not a regal sight to say the least when a feral dog was let loose her first dining table, every sweet roll devoured till the point of sickness. Never again will the dog eat a sweet, not even the sweet nectar of honey will she enjoy.

The girl carefully slowed the horse to a gentle stop, lowering her body off the steed and handing it's reins to a guard posted outside the castle door. "This is the Royal Guard's horse. Please send my apologies for taking up her time, and my gratitude for lending me this mount for an emergency." Ina said, bowing her head politely to the slacking man. She bean pulling the note she put up earlier off the door and tucking the arrow back into her quiver. Since she had returned the animal there was no reason for it to be still there. Ina held the note up and tossed it into a hanging torch on the castle wall, burning the useless thing.

With careful steps she walked back to the edge of the slumbering city on her slender legs, tightening the old wrap around her missing right eye. She enjoyed herself under the rising moon, basking in it's silvery light as she wandered the long way back into the shadows of the forest, following the sweet scent herbs to lead her way through the darkness.

Ina flicked her upright ear under her hood, smelling another canine in her territory, the musky scent of a wolf.

Arceonus looked the girl up and down. She said she was fine but he could see that she would still need a few days to be back to full strength. He then turned away from her and noticed a small sapling near the cave. It was blackened and withering but was still holding on. "Hey do you mind telling me what went on here," He asked the sapling mind to mind " Also does the keeper live around here I would like to meet her." After the sapling explained what happened Arceonus gave it some of his light to replace the energy that it had given to the girl.

"So, he tried his best but you are not fully healed would you like me to try and help with that," Arceonus asked the girl " Where are my manners, my name is Arceonus but you may call me Arc if that is easier for you. I have learned of your story, are you sure you don't want any protection the dog seemed like she would be most helpful. It has gotten dangerous as of late since the keeper is not here. Also this may sound strange but have I seen you somewhere before?"

Serephene watched with interest as the male hung around the sapling that Ina had used to heal her wound a bit. "I'm in fine shape at the moment," she replied. "I can take care of myself from here. And nice to meet you, Arc, I'm...Ranelle." She needed to get used to her new name or she would give herself away, though it was a bit hard. "I can also travel alone, too. I should be fine from now...the injury had been a shock, is all. I haven't gotten one so deep in a while."

She brought a hand to her wound idly, surprised by Arc's question, but didn't react. "I'm sure we haven't," she said, digging into her memory to remember the male before her, but nothing came. "Perhaps we have, but I cannot remember. What makes you bring up such a question?"

Arceonus felt no need to push the girl to accept his help. If she wanted to be alone that was her choice, although it did make him wonder what she was hiding. He wouldn't pry, but he would look in to her later. He had smelled her scent before back when he was with the king he just didn't know when and where. Not knowing would kill him but for now he would leave it alone.

"I am sure that I have smelled your scent once before," Arceonus said " It must have been back at my old job. I have never forgotten a persons scent so that's what made me think we had met before. Well Madam Ranelle I will take my leave I must find this keeper and identify the other person in the forest, goodbye." He then turned and jumped into the forest running off in the direction of the warrior he had smelled earlier.

Serephene stared after the man, a bit in a daze at how quickly he appeared, then disappear in the same fashion. She turned away towards a different direction to take her leave, slipping into the forest, feeling a lot better than she had before.

She wandered for a little bit, coming back to where she had lied, injured. The pool of blood she left had dried up, leaving a dark spot on the soil. She lifted her hands and drew the crimson liquid from the ground, feeling her magic return. She let it form into a ball before freezing it and carrying it in her hands. She could never leave such a forest tainted with blood. Even though the smell might stay for a couple of hours, maybe even half an hour since time passed a bit, it was better than having a stain in such peaceful and pure place.

She walked for a distance, not too long, but got out of the enchanted forest and made her way down the road, away from the city. She had to hide her blood, as it would be a very strange sight to see someone carrying a frozen orb of blood, especially if it was their own. She quickly made her way to an abandoned patch of land and returned her blood to liquid form before allowing it to settle into the ground. She pushed it as deep as she could, so the stain was very light and almost unnoticeable, though someone who was part animal with a good sense of smell would definitely notice it. Luckily, it was a deserted area, so no one would wander into this area....hopefully.

She stood back up and dusted her hands off, realizing it was still covered in blood. Sighing, she looked around for a water source, as it would use a little more of her almost immeasurable amount of magic, but she was particularly weak at the moment. She couldn't sense any, so she took some cloth from her clothes and wrapped them around her hands, mimicking the appearance of a linen bandage so no one would look at her with suspicion of murder. Bringing her hands by her sides, she left the area and headed towards the city, thinking of buying something to eat.
