Fantasy Elemental Kingdom

Xander looked over towards the town he was just walking through then to the garden that was close to him. With a large sigh he'd place Freyja lightly on the ground. He turned around then put his knee to the ground with his other foot still intact with the ground right in front of her while he was looking over his shoulder. "If you could, get on my back, it will be faster this way." He said with a small smile. "I'm taking you back to the forest. It seems as though it was a bad idea taking you here." He just stayed in the same. I didn't think the forest would be in danger. He thought to himself. He knew it wasn't inside of the city or the loud sound would be closer. He had to guess it came from the forest.

Liliana hadn't heard the question Shina had asked but did see her lips moving. She would answer, but now wouldn't be a great time to tell her that the person that annoyed her the most was the on she heard it from. She kept that quiet wondering if Xander really was the boy she was talking about or some other boy in her village.

"Alright, Shikai." She said staying fairly close to Shina. Practically clinging to her, but she didn't. It wouldn't look good for her especially since she had wanted to go on adventurers and going to different lands was much scarier and dangerous than just her land. I shouldn't worry her by getting lost this time. She's been harboring these memories and without knowing I had always gotten lost. Okay, Liliana... Azura we will be less of a bother in this situation. She thought to herself while shaking her head afterwards.

It was only a short time before they moved around the pond. She saw Shina look to her telling her to stay by the horse as Shina ran off by herself. Liliana walked back over to the horse, petting Music, the horse, softly while she sat next to her. Quickly Liliana, well Azura, had seemed to get bored quickly while petting the horse. The horse seemed calm so she had gotten up from the ground dusting her clothing of the dirt that stuck to her. Walking away the horse had made a small grunt as if telling Liliana to come back. She just turned and told Music, "I'll be back. I just want to find her." is all she said before running off to find her guard.

It seemed the horse had stayed at the spot, which made her happy that she didn't follow. Though, it might have been a good idea. She thought as she walked around deeper into the forest, where more trees have grown making it look darker than it should be. "Did.. she go this way.. or..." She said before stopping next to a large tree. She had been walking for a few minute now and hadn't found Shina. So, she sat down in front of the tree hugging her knees knowing that she would have found her. She knows hiding inside of a bush would be easier, but around this part she didn't see any.

While resting at the tree she decided to go back to finding Shina, but only going deeper into the forest. At some points she startled herself by stepping on a twig that made a loud crack. She hated herself for being easily scared making her think that she shouldn't become an adventurer or she should stay out here longer so she can get used to being in a forest alone at least. That sounding like a good idea she'd run off and found a small lake. Without hesitation she'd slowly get into the lake. It wasn't that big to begin with, but it was deeper than it looked.

She dove underwater, glad she had Shina teach her how to swim. It was really clear that even she can see under it. It burned her eyes a bit, but it was easy. Under it she saw a large opening inside of a rock. She went back up moving closer to the rock wall, gasping softly for air then dove back in then went through the opening in the rock. She had swam for a bit before seeing a small light above. Quickly, almost running out of air, she'd swim up.

Once her head was out of the water she gasped loudly for air while looking around. It was a small cave with an underground lake it seemed. She had swam to the nearest and lowest part where she can easily jump out of and sat at the edge watching the water glisten. It was nice, but she didn't think she could go back under for a while, seeming to have been out of breath. Instead she had sat near the water catching her breath softly. "I hope she won't be too worried. Please, don't let her worry about me." She said softly into both of her hands as she clasped them in a prayer.

(Don't worry it happens.)

( i got a little lost with all the posts i had to go through, did anyone mention what the noise came from? >.<)

Freyja smiled, "It is alright I shall make things easier for you since you carried me..just dont let me fall face first" She wished she could stay here longer with him, but she figured her life was in that forest and almost impossible for her to leave. She wondered if she would see Xander again after this. She grabbed his hand and stood, for now she must think of the safety of those in the forest and the forest itself. "Come,we must hurry!" She shrugged off her kimono and felt much lighter in her simple gown. She could always fashion something new after all. Without her kimono she could go faster and not have to worry as much about falling. She started gently pulling him towards the forest.

"Alright. I'll help carry her." Shina had placed the wounded females other arm around her neck as she wrapped her arm around her waist "I have a horse and someone that was along side of me to help." Shina sighed as she began to walk slowly as she held the female up. It took a bit before they reached the pond. She had noticed that Liliana wasn't near the horse "I need you to take her alone, but take me horse It'll be hard for you to get in without permission of a royal guard. This horse should be of some help to get in, but also say you have my permission.. I want you to hurry, also stay out of the Prince's garden. He isn't fond of having other's in there. Oh, and I'm Shina, Royal guard of the Princess. If anyone asks why you have the horse, and why I'm not here, give them the reason." She had walked over to the horse, slowly pushing the wounded woman onto the horse. "Please, get them to safety, Music." She patted the horses head before she lifted the other onto the horses back. "Go, I have to find Liliana." She then made a soft clucking noise, which caused the horse to bolt forward and run out of the forest. She sighed, walking further into the forest as she yelled out "Liliana! Where are you?!" Shina stopped beside a large tree, placing her hand on it as she thought to herself "I was supposed to be protecting you.. and now you've ran off. I've got to keep searching. Come on, Liliana.. show yourself.." It seemed like hours searching for Liliana, Shina still had a high spirit of finding her.

(By some large beast. It had already been defeated.)

Xander smiled and shook his head as she grabbed his hand. He'd stare at her as to see if she would be fine with running back to the forest. It worried him, since she had become weaker away from the forest. He didn't speak, but did nod at her and walked fast out of the castle at first, ignoring the guards remarks at him. It annoyed him being bothered like this, but he didn't let it show until it got too much for him. Once out of the castle he'd start to run and made sure she was able to keep up with him. Just in case he'd let go of her hand and grabbed her waist tightly as to keep her up.

"I'll come by sometimes." He said directed to her. It took about ten minutes to run to the front gate of the city. He didn't know if the woman could take anymore. Once he was at the gate, he stopped running and began to walk towards the forest, again, ignoring the guards. He'd think they'd stop after threatening them without a word. Will they ever learn? "Freyja, how are you feeling?" He gave her a small worried look hoping the running didn't tire her out. If she did trip, while running, he had stopped her from doing so by picking her up lightly from the ground then back to the ground. Now, he had a much more slower pace as to slowly regain her powers while going into the forest.

Out of the forest, as he was nearing it, was a familiar horse but with unfamiliar girls on it. It was Shina's horse, but not her or Liliana. "Where are they..." He'd say with every ounce of worry in his voice. The horse seemed to be moving fast, but seemed to slow down at the gate. Xander placed Freyja down on the ground on the borderline of the forest. "I'll be right back." He gave her a small smile.

Running over to the horse with the women on it. "Where's the owner of this horse and there was a girl with her." He eyed them and it seemed that one of them was wounded. If they had answered him he'd listen while making sure they were let into the city, making the guards let them in. He was glad to have this type of power as the Prince, so he can help others. He had directed the passengers to go into the city to the castle so the wounded woman was to get help. After that he ran back to Freyja.

Liliana had calmed down after a while. She still didn't want to risk going back through the opening inside of the water. It was easy to get through and could be harder to get out. Instead she'd walk around her trying to see if there was a cave she could find a way out of. She couldn't yet. She had gotten tired from the water and from walking around aimlessly in this cave. "Shina will find me. Yes she will."

(well shapoopy)

Freyja was not used to running outside the forest, the ground was harder than the grass and there was much to avoid. Things were happening though and she had to hurry, she wanted to make sure everything was ok. She looked at Xander as they ran and soon she could see the gate. He had to be worried for he didnt stop until they were close to the edge of the forest. And she could see that since she was gone many vines had crawled from the woods and started digging into the ground. She put her hand on her chest as she caught her breathe, "Ill be fine.. really. Thank you Xander" They started getting closer to the forest and slowly her connection was returning, she could feel the celestial powers filling her being and the forest cried out for her. She noticed a horse with two women on it just as Xander did, he told her he would be back in a moment and she took the chance to kneel in the grass as vines wrapped themselves gently around her. She pressed her cheek against them and smiled. "I'am now..all will be fine.." She heard them talking though, someone needed help deeper in the forest. They unleashed her and she stood just as Xander came back, "Someone needs help..I cannot say who I just know where.." She had her earthly glow back to her skin and she once more felt in control.

Serephene heard voices around her, but she could not bring herself out of her sleepy state. How long has it been? she wondered, trying to ignore the ache of her wound. Someone has probably found her.

Worry invaded Serephene's thoughts. She just hoped that no one would contact her family--she wanted to cut her ties with them, and they would only send people out to bring her back to that dark place if they found out where she was. She tried to think of ways to bring herself out of the situation she would be in when she woke, but her thoughts become hazy, and worrying thoughts continued to enter her mind.

What if someone has seen her from her portrait? Her family was very close to the royal family, sending them many goods through their company, as well as hand-made gifts. She held an important place in the company, and her family had kept it hidden that their daughter had fled from her home. She pushed the uncomfortable thought from her head, and instead focused on trying to regain consciousness, and it worked, only slightly, and she felt a sting on her wound, and she let out a shaky breath. Whether she truly exhaled, she doesn't know, but the stinging annoyed her. A wave of exhaustion overpowered her, and she was forced back into darkness.

"Just don't tell them," she heard her own voice say.

Ina nodded, thanking the woman several times as she was helped onto the white horse. She wasn't fond of riding another animal, it was an odd feeling but it was the quickest way to save this young woman. "She has lost too much blood...if I hadn't past, who knows how long she would have been sleeping under that tree, bleeding to death?" Ina muttered to herself as her body jolting at each step the large horse made, she held on to the woman in front of her, making sure that she didn't fall as the mount galloped into the city. The white dog continuously lowered the back of the hide cloak as it fluttered in the breeze during the ride, hiding her thick, white tail from view of any travellers nearby.

Ina glanced curiously to the side as a man came running along side the tame horse. She turned to the young man, taking note of the great power he had over the outlying guards. 'A royal' she thought in an agasped wonder, knowing a guard or a servant would not look as well groomed or gentle as he, the girl began blushing in excitement. She began tightening the hood of her cloak so her animal ears did not show and frighten him or the guards, she may have seemed strange so shaded on a beautiful day. But she much rather be seen as an odd, secluded citizen rather than a feral beast amoung human kin. She kept her head down as she spoke to the man.

"A royal guard named Shina is searching after someone name Lilliana. She lent us this steed, and grants us permission to the castle...this woman needs medical attention, quickly." the dog-girl stated as clear as she could through the part of the hood that covered the lower half of her face. She stared forward in determination as the city gates opened up for them. The white horse trotted on the road, kicking up dirt behind it as it led them to the castle. Ina hopped off the animal and patted the woman as she rasped half-spoken words in her sleep. "It's okay miss, we are here and you will be safe soon, the royal family will care for you."

He could not help but frown, even the king was confused by his appearance it seemed, or he was just joking around. Non-humans like himself never had the best sense of humor, so the moon child must have thought it as a serious title. "My name is Xentarium Primithiel Empyria Manatuvia Nulemortus though calling me Von would suffice." He replied with a light smile before looking over the boy once. His powers were limited, not to a large extent, by the day time so the infamous animal like qualities he possessed were not revealed at the moment.

Good, I would not have liked to fight him after playing with his ears.
He thought before chiding the boy. "I would suggest to refrain from speaking out loud when you are thinking, as others may be offended by your words, child. One cannot reek of age, though for the younger races, magic sometimes coalesces with the natural senses." His own kind did once perceive magic through sight after all, and his very presence in all it's power was known to burn even those who could not perceive magic. It was why he was cast out after all, or it would be more accurate to say he fled after he killed all those who strayed too close to his being.

"You are welcome for the spear, but we must act quickly now. The Keeper would not appreciate her domain being defiled." Von said assertively, donning a strangely serious persona as he willed the magic form his form to come into being. The amount of power he could produce was a very, very, very small fraction of what he was truly capable off, yet through his unceasing growth throughout countless eras, the might he could unleash was still staggering. Manipulation of mass and gravity was within the powers of the moon child, yet his plethora of skills eclipsed that of even his counterpart's abilities. The broken trunks and crush branches were slowly sewn back together and stood upright once more while the earth slowly opened up to consume the corpse of the deceased monster.

The restoration process was slower than he would have liked, but any quicker than a few minutes and he could not contain the power he would have release. He did not want to be a beacon for all sensitive beings to gather the way they usually did when large volumes of magic was used to manipulate the world. The Keeper would certainly feel what he was doing, as she was part of the forest, yet he was sure he could convince her to remain silent about the limits of his strength. Even if she did not, he rarely used his full strength anyway and this was not one of those rare occasions. Yet now was not the time for such thoughts, all his focus had to remain on the restoration spell.

The magic he cast to heal the trees was complicated to say the least. To spread his magic, was extremely easy, his control over a relatively small amount in proportion to the true scale of power he had made it so. To funnel it into each tree, broken or otherwise, in the are was again, child's play, as they were just objects, vessels for the energy he would soon supply them with. Even with some of the Keeper's magic there, it was a simple matter to simply flood each vessel with his own power. The hard part came in connecting the dots: to have the energy reach out to the parts separated from the main structure. There were just too many pieces, from the largest trucks, to the smallest of shattered splinters, to put back together again perfectly in just the span of a few minutes. Each had to be painstakingly found from an assortment of other broken undergrowth and decomposing matter and fitted to where it was once before. He would use time magic if he could, but too much could happen if he did, and he would not risk that much power flooding the world, as that would be the target of the spell if he used it.

"I'm not going to make it in time." He admitted to the moon child, Arc the king once called him when he commissioned the spear. "Distract the prince and the Keeper for as long as possible. I would hope to be out of the immediate area when they arrive here." Again all his concentration returned to the spell, his mind working as fast as possible to finish the intricate magic as efficiently and subtly as possible. He could and would not deal with the questions about his strength, not when he worked too hard for anonymity.

Arceonus let out a laugh at Von's words. "How are people suppose to know how I feel if I don't tell them," Arceonus said " So far as I know i'm one of the few people who can read minds on this planet." When Von called him one of the younger races he got a little more information about the man to work with. Von had known that he was a child of the moon, and as such he should know that Arceonus was as old as the moon itself, yet he still called him young. There were not many races in the galaxy that were older than him and there were fewer who were so far ahead in age to be able to call him young.

His train of thought was interrupted by the sight of Von mending the forest back together. For a moment it looked as if time was reversing itself ,but Arceonus realized that was not the case when Asimer was consumed by the earth. Von was putting the forest back together peace by peace, splinter by splinter. Arceonus just looked in amazement, for all the might and power he had he could do nothing like this. He could smell the power coursing through the area, it was strong but contained and not a drop of power was wasted. With ever passing moment Von just proved over and over that he was in a class of his own.

As majestic as the process was, it was going slowly. It seemed as if he did not want to reveal his strength, which made sense because creatures would flock to it, they always did. "You will have your distraction," Acreonus said " It's the least I can do, but I am too ashamed of my failure to see the prince so I will do it another way. This is going to be loud so be ready for it, I think I will make another lake for the castle. Before I leave though I must thank you again and ask that you tell no one of my being here. I am Arceonus Warfang, prince of the moon, but on this planet they call me Arc, Arc general if it's a guard, or Anubis. I have too many names, but any will work"

Arceonus lowered the pull of gravity so he could walk on the water of the lake. He wasn't sure if what he was about to say was true but, it was one possible option for why Von was as he was. " It was nice to meet one of the first people," Arceonus yelled as water started to lift itself around him as if weightless " Power is always drawn to power, and if i'm right you are really something of legend, something I might need to help stop me in the future. Till we meet again Xentarium Primithiel Empyria Manatuvia Nulemortus ."

Since the water was in contact with him he matched its gravity to his own, which was nothing at the time, and jumped rocketing himself and the lake water with him. The lake was fed by the falls so it would fill again after a while so Arceonus didn't worry about that. As he floated above the trees surrounded by tons of water he though of what he could form the water into to get peoples attention, then it came to him. He had remembered a story the king told him about a great flying lizard that could destroy armies and towns by itself and struck fear into the hearts of man. " Nothing gets attention like fear, now what did that picture he showed me look like," he said to himself " O yea like this." Then he changed the gravity and pull of different parts of the water to give it a form. After coming together in a massive cyclone in the air the water exploded into the form of a dragon. "Man dragons look cool," Arceonus yelled as he changed the pull of gravity to send him at great speed towards the castle.

Arceonus decided that having an almost two hundred foot water dragon was not enough so he decided to absorb the like from above it so that it would cast just as large of a shadow, rather then letting the light through. He flew at a fast pace which caused water droplets to fall watering the land below him. "I wonder if the city has someone who could even stop this if it was real," Arceonus wondered as he locked eyes on a good location to make the lake. He could hear the alarm bells frantically sounding. He swooped in close to the town, flying only ten or so feet from the top of building, to get a look at how people were reacting. It was about what he expected other than the fact that the guards we not forming ranks to defend the town but were instead running to safety. "When had the guards become so untrained and where is the army," Arceonus thought "Well whatever, time to drop this down." He then flew up into the air and after reaching a hundred feet he reversed the pull of gravity and doubled the mass of the water slamming it into a large dry flat land outside the town. The ground erupted under the force and pressure creating a large deep crater, Arceonus made sure the water caught all the debris and contained it before releasing the water into the hole.

"Well Von I hope that was a good enough distraction," Arceonus said as he gathered more light, reduced his weight and shot of at blinding speed back to the forest.

Ina turned her hooded head back at the city as she heard the sounds of scurrying feet and slamming doors as many began entering random homes and households. She watched a large shadow snaking around over homes from above, then with her single teal eye narrowed, the white dog witnessed the large dragon-beast swooping overhead. The rattle of feeling metal and swords were an oddity to her, it was not something she was accustomed to seeing in the former kingdom that she served. She was greatly disgraced by this army's cowardice, growling softly to herself as she watched all the people pass, not heeding the safety of the city.

Ina stepped in front of the horse and proceeded with a swift movement, grasping her ancient bow tightly and firing a round of precise arrows at the head of the fake-dragon as it hoved above a building. The projectiles were merely sucked into where the eyes should have been, she cocked her head and lowered her weapon as it disappeared above the trees of the forest. "How odd..." she said quietly, turning back towards the castle, and pushing open the large doors. Her ears twitched beneath her cloak as she heard a loud boom in the distance, the sound of ground cracking and a rush of water. "..." Ina continued into the castle leaving the woman on the horse as she began calling out for help "Please, someone! A doctor! My friend is hurt!" she yelled, pulling the fabric away from her face, her voice echoing down the large halls.

Serephene forced herself out of her sleep, and heard startled yells and shuffling of feet fill her ears. She groaned, the noise hurting her ears a bit, as they were sensitive to sound. She opened her eyes to see a large shadow casting over the area and she narrowed her eyes to focus her still blurry vision. She wasn't sure if it was a dragon, but it was something that the people feared, even though she didn't know what it was.

She realized that her wound was pounding less, and its stinging pain had dulled significantly. The faint smell of an herb reached her nose, and guess someone must have treated her. She shifted, ignoring the pain that was still there, and looked about, and realized that she had been moved from her previous location, into the city, and on a majestic horse.

"Where am I?" she wondered aloud, bringing a hand to her ear to block out the deafening sounds of the startled citizens. She spotted a cloaked figure not to far from where she was, shooting arrows with amazing accuracy, which only disappeared when it hit its target. That beast is not real, Serephene confirmed, watching it disappear behind a building and into the trees. The cloaked figure pushed her way past large doors, and a booming sound, followed by a wave of rushing water sounded as she did so. The figure ventured deeper into the building, calling out for help, for a 'friend.' Serephene titled her head unconsciously. Was she speaking of me? She was the only wounded one around, so it had to be.

Fear struck her as she figured out where she was. She was in the city, uncomfortably close to the castle she wished to avoid. There was almost no chance that someone of position wouldn't recognize her. She debated with herself: should she leave and head for the forest again, or stay to heal? She wasn't even sure the Keeper was back, or even safe, and she had become a little dizzy, probably from lack of blood. Deciding to stay, Serephene mustered up all the energy she could to bring out her dagger, grab her ponytail and cut a majority of her hair, the cut length disappearing in a flurry of sparkles. Her hair fell, too short to be tied up anymore, and grazed the base of her neck. It would always grow back instantly, even if she didn't want it to, and over the years, Serephene figured out that her hair cannot grow past her waist, or be shorter, which is a puzzle she could never solve. If her hair was cut, it would strangely disappear instead of acting like normal hair and staying in place, as if it didn't want to leave any traces of its existence, which sometimes amused her, since she knew hair couldn't have such a trait.

She quickly hid her dagger while casting a spell on herself that'll keep her hair that short even if she went unconscious. She couldn't have anyone find out who she was. She just hoped that her eyes wouldn't give it away. She slid off the horse, giving it a pat as a thank you, and staggered towards the doors of the castle, pushing down the anxious feelings that bubbled in her stomach.

Serephene called out as soon as she saw the cloaked figure who had most likely brought her here on the horse. "Miss!" she called, her voice soft and hoarse from exhaustion. Maybe there was a way to save herself without healing in the castle. She didn't want to have any castle-members know of her presence. Royal medical attention was the last thing she needed, especially when the prince and princess would be notified.

Shina had been looking for Liliana for about two hours as she has been going deeper into the forest. "Liliana! Where are you?!" she had fell to her knees, trying to catch her breath. "Where can she be.." She lowered her head as a few tears ran down her cheek, her hair slid to the sides of her face. Shina wanted to find her, but she was slowly losing her strength from all the running. There by a medium sized tree, she laid against it. "C'mon Lili.. you need to come back to me.." she had thought to herself as she closed her eyes, praying to find her. Moments later, she hear a roaring sound farther away from her "It can't be.." Shina quickly stood up, running further into the forest as she yelled for Liliana. She stumbled over a root from a tree, that was further in the forest. Landing on her knees with a small sharp pain going up her spine, she still yelled out for the princess. "If I don't find her, it'll feel exactly like losing my only friend when I was still in my village.." Speaking to herself, she realized it wouldn't do much help of finding her. She punched the ground as she yelled out as loud as she could "Liliana this isn't funny! Come out now! We need to get back to the castle!" When she didn't get an answer, she leaned over placing her hands on the ground along with her head laying on her hands "Lili.. Please.."

"Hel--" Ina turned her hooded head as she hears a weak voice rise up from behind her. The scent of blood was stained on the girl's being, it was strong but at least it was not as fresh as before. The white dog took no chances, pulling the well-worn cover back over her nose and mouth. "Y-You're awake....Thank the gods..." she sighed in relief, a worried look casting over her face as she darted towards the girl on nimble feet. "Please...do not move you're still injured, don't worry the doctors of this palace will heal you. My name Is Ina Tiran, glad to make your acquaintance." Ina reassured, bowing politely to the woman within her cloak. A hint of white hair glimmering in the shade of her hood

"What was a human doing in such a dangerous place? The forest is not an area where a young woman such as yourself should be wandering alone....there are many monsters...and beasts..."
The dog lectured quite irritably even though Ina was only a few years older than her, she's known many people that have died with in her frozen forest years ago, finding it quite sad and pathetic. She sighed, returning to the girl's side, draping her arm over her shoulder to keep her up. Ina used her free hand to keep her cloak from slipping off as she led the woman down a hall, looking for a guard, a servant, anyone who could tend to her wounds.

Serephene felt relief rise up in her as the hooded figure turned to look at her. Before she knew it, the figure was by her side, lecturing her about being in a forest. Serephene managed a small laugh, though it sounded more like a wheeze. "I'm not a normal human," she murmured to the figure, now knowing her name, Ina Tiran. "And you have a lovely name, Miss Ina. I am--" She paused. If she revealed her real name...who knows what troubles would arise, and that is something she was meaning to avoid. "Ranelle Lyruth," she finally said, tensing up, hoping that Ina wouldn't notice her attempt to disguise herself.

Ina seemed to be lost in thought for a heartbeat before she sighed and moved in to support Serephene. In a moment, she was gently guided down the halls, and Ina seemed to be looking for someone.

"Miss Ina," Serephene rasped in a low voice. "Is it okay if we look for help...elsewhere? We don't need any royal attention on someone like me." She tried to push the thoughts out of her head, but her heart was hammering, not loud enough for anyone to hear, but Serephene certainly felt it. Maybe she needed to go to the extent of changing her eye color. She wished--she didn't have enough power for that. Instead, she politely waited for Ina's reply, and kept her eyes open, even if they were blurry, to search for any walking being, hoping that there were none to hear their calls. If it was to keep her identity safe, Serephene could hang on for a couple more minutes.

Ina twitched one of her ears under her hood, unsure what to think of the young woman. She took no mind to her sudden pause in the middle of her sentence-- for she must have lost much energy to the blood lost. Ina continued walking down the halls, soon returning to their beginning position, it seemed all the guards had went out to investigate the explosion in the forest earlier an had not returned."Very pleased to meet you young Ranelle. " she greeted with a calm and soothing voice, "Royal attention is the best there is...they have the rarest and highest quality medicines...but it seems there's no one here to treat you at the moment..." Ina sighed in disappointment, leading her back to the white horse outside. She carefully pushed the young girl onto the steed, taking some Birch bark and a bloodied feather from her leather satchel.

~~~~~~~~~~~
'Miss Shina, we seem to be quite lost in the castle and could not find any immediate help for the girl. So I have decided it is in our best interest to take her to my home for treatment. Your Music will be at my cavern at the base of a mountain on the outskirt of the city, if I do not return before you need her again. ~ Ina Tiran'
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The white dog pinned the paper-like bark to the large door of the castle with an arrow from her quiver, only a few left in her quiver for her to spare. "I'll take you back to my home to heal, I have many herbs and remedies to mix into a suitable medicine..." Ina said quietly, hopping onto the back of the horse and grasping the reins. She's seen her former master do this several times when he rode to farther lands, so it was not an unfamiliar routine for the girl.

The young Tiran galloped the animal out of the city gates and across thickets and tall forest trees that draped their long branches around the area. They scent of dried flowers and sweet herbs soon coated the area, signalling the arrival to the White Dog's territory. The cavern was lined with hanging plants and thick vines around the gaping mouth. The area was lively with fluttering insects and vibrant flowers of all kinds across the grounds since Ina often spread the seeds of the vegetation she collected to return to the land, and have a growing supply of material on hand near her cave.

She grasped the girl and pulled her off the white horse, then laid her by a young, green tree that was barely a year old. Ina proceeded in and out of the cavern, plucking various types of hanging plants that were drying within her lofty home as she muttered the names of plants she picked "Black cohosh...hmm... I suppose Garlic...Ah yes! Marigold of course...Some Poppy for the pain...Comfrey incase of swelling...". Ina came back shortly after with a small bowl and masher, crushing the bundle of plants into a mixture and adding sap to turn into an applicable paste. She placed her hands over the girl's wound and began her healing spell, transferring the life-force out of the sapling to assist in the recovery of the injury. Ina kept her eyes closed in concentration as a faint glow emitted from her fingers and palms and continued this for a couple of minutes as the cool, crisp feeling surrounded the injury. The sapling began to blacken, and wither away, the leaves were white and frail. "The wound is partly healed...but it should still be very raw...This sapling did not have much energy to give you. Apply this paste daily and it should fully heal soon." The white dog advised, keeping her body hidden beneath the cloak despite the heat of the day.

Well, at least he has power. Von thought as he caught a glimpse of the water dragon that flew from the lake. Still quite a shame he had to do that just to provide me with some extra time. He thought of all the things that could have lived in the lake, from various plants to fishes to anything remotely alive yet unseen by human eyes. There was just too much death that occurred for him to just accept, yet even more would come to pass if he just waited or stopped the healing of the forests.

So he pressed on, funneling his strength throughout the area, looking for all those things that were broken. To his surprise he found two more objects not broken in the usual sense, both wallowing in despair unbecoming of them. The princess and her guard were somewhere in the forest, or in the area at least, much farther apart for comfort it seems and he could feel 'loss' and 'sorrow' emanating from their forms. The moon child was not correct in the assumption that he was the only one who could read minds, he could do so but vaguely. It was like looking at a face, a smile would mean happiness while frowning could be sorrow. Magic was strange even to him that way.

So he redoubled his efforts, his entire mind now devoted to healing the forest while keeping his strength in check. He watched with prismatic eyes and a gentle smile as time seemed to turn back for him, the trees undoing their destruction as each splinter was once again back in its original place. he would just have to simply 'glue' them together now, forcing his own magic in them to form 'locks' around each other, holding each piece to the other even after he withdrew his influence. The physical bonds were restored, and his magic returned to him as he let out a breath of relief.

The Keeper and the prince were still no where to be found. Unfortunately, so was the princess. "Well, ready or not, here I come." He sang to no one in particular before following the signatures of the two girls.

Serephene let out a sigh of relief as Ina spoke to her, disregarding the pause she held in the middle of her sentence. Her nerves were still on as Ina continued to say that it's best to be at the castle, then settled down when they headed back to the steed, as no one was in the castle. Serephene climbed back onto the steed with Ina's help, and shifted as she watched Ina scribble a message onto a Birch bark and sticking it to the castle doors. Ina soon climbed up and lead them away from the castle, explaining the new plan. In honesty, Serephene liked this plan a lot more than the previous one.

Serephene took quick nap as they rode through the undergrowth of the forest, and soon, the scent of sweet herbs, as well as many other plant scents, brought Serephene from her sleep. Ina slid off the horse first, then helped Serephene down, laying her beside a young tree. The next moment, Ina was walking in and out of the cavern, muttering plant names under her breath, which Serephene found strangely relaxing. This woman knew what she was doing, and was grateful for her help. The woman soon knelt besides her and began her healing spell, and a cool, soothing sensation outdid the pain of the wound, and she watched the plants blacken, then turn into an aged white color. Ina advised that she should apply the paste, and Serephene nodded.

"Thank you," she thanked, settling down. "How long would it take to heal?"

(Sorry, I thought I posted this message, but it seems that I didn't....)

Ina rose to her feet and brushed off her knees. She walked over to the animal, carefully patting the white horse on it's broad muzzle, fingers gently sliding downwards as she stroked it's soft nose.

"Not long...since you have so much power in you already. Maybe a a day or two at most." she smiled back half-knowingly at the dark haired girl, glancing at the horse's mouth as it began to eat some some young flowers and budlings that were growing by the cave. "But you're welcome to stay as long as you need---H-Hey, Musical horse!! Stop those are Lilies of the Valley you're eating!" the white dog pried the Horse's mouth open, pulling out the deadly plant from jaws. She flicked her slimy hands in distaste. "I like deer much better...they know which plants can kill them at least..." Ina muttered quietly, wiping her hands off on her cloak as she watched he horse nibble on her hanging herbs.

The young woman began picking at large purple flowers from a healthy Passion vine that was climbing the rocky walls outside her cavern. "It won't be as comfortable as the castle...but at least it's safe...what were you doing out there anyways?" she asked, sliding off the extension over her mouth now that the air was safe to breathe, but keeping the rest of her body until further notice. "That was...quite the wound, ma'am."

Serephene sighed in relief as she was notified that it would only take a day or two. She shouldn't bother this kind woman anymore. She watched in amusement as Ina muttered about deers as she pulled Lilies of the Valley from the royal horse's mouth. Ina asked her what she was doing out in the forest, and comment on her wound.

Oh, no, I didn't come up with a back story, Serephene thought, worry picking at her again. "I was...ambushed," she started, trying to be as truthful as possible, but analyzing her story to make sure she didn't leak any information. "And I got injured....and it was on a path people travel on, so I went into the nearest forest I could find. People don't like the sight of blood....or most of them don't." She paused, shifting herself into a more comfortable position before continuing. "I was looking for the Keeper, but I couldn't find her. She seemed to be away from the forest. Do you know what happened to her?" She felt her worry disappear again. She steered the conversation away from herself.
