"Well I didn't think it was contagious" Ivan joked. "I've been hanging around Gigi for years and I've never gotten it before."

Wattle nodded an appreciative nonverbal thank you to halo as he began to follow her. Until Ivan spoke up and he faced him,


"You lucky soul....Maybe your pride creates a barrier that protects you."

 

[The Suspicious Eye]

"No way it only affects the cool people, like us" Gigi smiles pridefully and looks at Ivan "you have to be super fun to get it."

 

[Shog]

Ivan frowned a bit. "I don't think so. I knew Gigi before I had any pride. And just a few years later I'm like this. It's kind of funny, really." 
"And even you, Gigi, have to admit I've loosened up over the years."

Gigi shrugs "I guess you have, but you still have stick in the mud tendencies sometimes" she smiles nudging him a little. The group of students arrive at the gym. There are many students already inside sparing and practicing their moves. There were many menacing looking students doing flaming kicks and lightning explosions going left and right.

As the group walked into the gym Ivan smiled at the other students training. Every bone in his body was tempted to jump into the gym and spar with the others. However Gigi noticed his eagerness and reeled him back to reality. Putting a hand on his shoulder "You can have your fun later we are here for Wattle to sign up." Ivan nodded she always mellowed him out, he has always appreciated that. Gigi smiles and turns to Wattle "don't let the competition scare you they're all pansies when you get them into the ring."

 

[Shog]

"She's right" Ivan said. "Most people here are practicing some of their most powerful moves in hopes of throwing off their competition. That is where you have the upper hand. Look at how they look at you. They think you're a meal. Once in the arena you can show them how powerful you truly are. That will throw them off. Just like how I'm not going to practice my powerful moves in public. I even have a secret weapon."

Wattle eyed the two then the rest of the crowd, most of them where fourth and fifth years a couple third years here and there that he recognized from his own class. But then again they where the seemingly top notch in their year, with this in mind the plant elements heart dropped to his feet along with his courage. And here he was thinking he had a chance, but then as the others spoke he became sheepish but felt blessed to have met them.


"Thank you.." He murmured before stepping closer to the desk which held the papers, a women with gleaming spectacles watching after it. He recognized her as the nurse but didn't think much of it as he stood hunched over the sign up sheet and wrote in neat cursive in each of the specified categories.


'Wattle Alfalfa, 3rd year, Plant element' Once the tip of his pen lifted up and off the parchment he felt as if he had just sold his soul to the devil which took the physical form of the arena. And quickly scurried back over to the others, the nurse speaking a good luck to him as he turned. "Alright, I'm officially in the arena competition...Good thing or bad not quite sure yet. But let's get some lunch...So we can start training."

 

[Shog]

"Lunch" Ivan said. "Yah, that's a good idea. Maybe we should follow Gigi there." He joked. He knew eating would be a good idea, but every bone in his body was aching to stat some more practice.

 

[The Suspicious Eye]

Gigi raised her hands in the air "Yes, let's eat!!" Gigi was starving she hadn't had anything since yesterday. She began skipping around the group "I am so ready to eat food is the natural nourishment of hungry people, it's been that way forever!" Gigi kept bouncing around as the group arrived at the cafeteria luckily being lead by Ivan they made it just as the lines had died down. "I am so excited to eat!!"

[Shog]

"Ok Gigi, you can clam down now" Ivan teased. "If I didn't know any better, I'd assume you already had lunch with extra desert." Out of all the options available, Ivan decided to have some chicken, rice, and a salad. He thought it tasted great and downed it all quickly.

 

[The Suspicious Eye]

Gigi loved food and loved to eat even though she really didn't need a lot to survive. The lunch ladies knew she liked to eat a whole lot of something and keep some food on the side just for her. Gigi skips down the row and looks at all the options then she picks a whole pizza pie, 2 chickpea sandwiches and a whole cake from the lunch lady at the end of the line. Gigi gives her a shining smile and ate all the cake fist then the pizza and finally the sandwiches. "Best meal ever I feel super energized" she jokingly flexes her muscles.

 

[Shog]

"You know, I'm glad I don't have to feed you" Ivan said. "I'd be left starving and you would only be half satisfied. So you want to train or what? I have a good private place if you want." He had been using it for quite some time now. Only him and a few other water elemntalists knew it existed.

Wattle had shuffled after Gigi and simply retrieved an apple to subside his small amount of hunger, for he would barely be able to eat the entire granny smith. He was grateful once more to have his hood for it hid the grimace which contorted his expression at the sight of the light elementist eating such foods. Not for much of a reason other then the fact that he was a vegetarian and he spotted flakes of meat here and there, he took his time and had just gotten his second bite of the green apple when Gigi had completed her meal. Astonished by the sight he halted mid bite and stared at her plate for a moment before continuing and listening to Ivan and nodding in agreement.


"Lets train, I'll eat along the way."

Gigi smiles at Ivan "and that is why I am going to marry up!" she smiles and nods proudly. "Yeah lets go I have a new training session I want to try out with you guys I need some practice dummies... I mean volunteers." She smiles and gets up "All right Ivan lead the way!!"

 

[Shog]

"Ok, follow me" Ivan said. He lead them outside and into the forest. "The only reason water elementalists are the only ones who know about it is because it requires one to get there. Just trust me, and try not to take excess breaths." He jumped inside the roaring river and surfaced, creating a couple pieces of ice. "Just trust me and grab the pieces of ice."

Wattle took a step back from the river frightened by the mere idea of stepping even an inch closer to the substance. Vines seeped through the grasses surface and wrapped comfortably around his feet attempting to assure him that he could put his trust in Ivan. But his thoughts still where hesitant and faltered, for he didn't know how to swim. Such a simple task had been forgotten with the rest of his memories and now he'd barely step inside of a large body of water. And before Gigi could move he gripped her upper arm and whispered,


"I can't swim." It was such an embarrassing thing but he wondered what the girl would come up if she where to try and help him.

 

[The Suspicious Eye]

Gigi bounces up and down "Oooo how exciting!!" As she was about to pounce in a firm hand gripped her. As he told her the dilemma she thought about this "Hmmm you control plants right? Why don't you create a plant helmet so you can breathe and the plants will produce oxygen for you. If we both go up together then I can navigate you to the surface. Sound good?" She smiled at the boy, he was so cute, so much like her brother it's adorable.

Wattle stared at the girl for a moment before nodding as he chuckled quietly, what a peculiar girl.


He fixed his hood and crown quietly, "well if it's thought up by you it has to work." Taking his final breath of the air around him he concentrated silently as the vines which at before wrapped around his feet. And told them to crawl up the outside of his right leg until it met his index finger which it began to cling to as it trailed up the rest of his arm and slithered a crossed his hidden collar bone until it was in the right position to begin around his head. It happened in mere seconds and out of uncomfortably he removed his hood to reveal the greenery which now hid his face.


"Alright, I'm trusting you..." Wattles voice was muffled slightly but still comprehensible as he fidgeted with his feet nervously, breathing in the plants oxygen gratefully.


(@Sukiyaki I just have to tell you that that is actually a really unique idea that I never would've thought of. So Good job Gurl. )

Gigi smiles and takes his hand and a deep breath and jumped into the river. Under water Gigi pulled up Wattle and as the two reached the surface she places him on the piece of ice. After being certain he has a hold of it, she lets his hand go and then grabs on to her piece of ice. "All right Ivan lead the way!" She smiles with excitement.

Yuri would have fallen asleep in the library with 2 books on the desk he was reading them as he dosent remember what he was reading,as he looks he read horro books,and would sigh as he gets up from the chair and get his Syth and would walk towards the "Hystori" section of the Library as he would be rotating his Syth on one of his arms wille he whisels

The temperature difference within the water and the air was so distinct it sent multiple long chills through out Wattles body and he feared he'd freeze once he'd go numb. And his grip on Gigis hand to tighten to the point in which he feared he had stopped any type of blood flow possible. The rivers water easily seeped through all of his clothing and when he was tugged onto the surface of ice he gripped the edges tightly instead once he pulled his hood back on and the vines slowly removed themselves from his head before withering into nothingness.


"Oh my..." His teeth chattered, "Thank you Gigi."

 

[Shog]

"Ok" Ivan said. He led them down stream for a while and after one bend in the river it was clear the river was heading under the giant rock pile. There was no room under it for a head to still get air. "Breath as little as possible!" He yelled. He then pulled the ice under water with air pockets around their heads. After some time they surfaced in a cave. Ivan used the water to push his friends to where he knew was land. He also dried them off and melted the ice. "Gigi, light please?"

 

[The Suspicious Eye]

Gigi smiled and touched her hand to the side of the cave "watch this." A pulse of color moves out of her hand and resonates through the entire cave. The colors alternate throughout the cave red's, green's, pinks, and blues. "Ta da!! What do you think? Cool right?" She waves her hand over the area like one of those models on the tv and smiles brightly even her teeth create a slight luminous light.
