Weapon(s) of Choice: Two Ebony Daggers, Bound Bow, Bound Sword

Skills

Primary Skill: Conjuration

Secondary Skills (up to 3):Archery, Sneaking, Alteration

Unique Skill: Teleportation through conjuration magic

Bio

Personality: Shade is on the quiet side, preferring is own thoughts over actual interaction. He also likes to let his actions speak for him. He does not trust easily. He is fairly cocky at times.

Bio: Shadrothe was born in a small village near the edge of Black Marsh. He was the third child in his family, but was born a mistake. For generations his family only had two children. One would master destruction magic and the other restoration. While his parents didn't have the heart to throw him out or kill him, they knew he couldn't stay long.

When he was four years old, his parents gave him to some traveling khajiit merchants from Elsweyr. He learned some of the merchants trade as they moved north through Cyrodiil, but the khajiit were not honorable merchants. They had a tendency to steal a lot of what they sold, making an easy profit. Shade, as they grew accustomed to calling him, was used frequently to steal because of his size and age (most thought of him as more of a nuisance than anything and mostly ignored him). He was also taught how to use a bow to hunt his own food. During his free time he would read up on magic. He became almost obsessed with conjuration magic and mastered most of the master level conjuration spells before he grew into a full adult. During his studies, he picked up on a few patterns and began his study into magic theory. He took apart conjuration to it's simplest steps and worked to build his own spell. Through several years of work and research, he learned how to teleport.

When the traveling merchants arrived in Skyrim, they had a discussion. Now that they were no longer allowed to enter the cities and he was no longer a simple child, he was given a choice: to leave them in Riften or to continue traveling with them and experience the same prejudice that the Khajiit felt because he was traveling with them. After several days of hunting and thinking, he decided to stay in Riften and make is own way. They promised to try to keep in touch since they had grown close over the years.

Now in Riften, Shade attempted to sell his goods but quickly fell flat. Needing something to keep him going, he decided to join the thieves guild. It didn't take much digging to find out how to contact them. He entered the ratway at night and after wounding the guards with his bow, found a few of them. They sent him on several missions to test his skill before letting him into the guild. It was here his magic theory studies really took off, and he also decided that alteration might help as well.Several years later a member of the Nightingales died and he was initiated into their group, but still sworn to secrecy.

Other

Faction: Thieves Guild and Nightingales

Other: He became a werewolf traveling to a mission for the thieves guild. He still cant entirely control his shifts. He also carries some Hist sap with him at all times.

This would be great, but I don't think I can accept that race. Usually when I fill out my character I come up with something to add to the rues, and this was no exception. Unfortunately, when I added it was already after you had read them, so you missed this one. I said I would prefer for the races to be from Tamriel (and added a link to all viable races). That excludes the Ka Po'Tun. I spent quite a while deciding if I was going to accept your character because of the timing and how complete your bio was, but I think I would prefer it if you changed to a race from Tamriel. A kjajiit would work with just a bit of tweaking to the bio.

Secondary Skills (up to 3):

Conjuration, Alteration, Enchanting

Unique Skill:

Nature Magic, a form of ancient magic known only to forsworn shamans and hagravens. It can evolve into Hedge Magic.

Faction:

The Forsworn

Personality:

Faolan is very proud of his knowledge in magic. it causes him to be prideful, vain, and arrogant, and often think himself better than others. He lacks loyalty to those around him, and is the personification of the term "the ends justify the means." Despite this, he is very sociable, and can gain friends quickly. He is a firm believer in the Reachman beliefs, thus his relationships with non-bretons are strenuous at best.

Bio:

Faolan was born in the Reach just before the Markarth Incident. He was named after the Red Eagle because his parents believed that they were finally going to win the Reach back. Both his father and mother were killed in the battles that took place, leaving him in the care of the reachmen that stayed behind. Despite this, he grew up a strong man, his affinity with nature magic beyond any that the reachmen had seen. because of this he was put through numerous trials and deemed worthy of the title of Briarheart. Faolan, filled with the pride of his name and his magical ability, willingly allowed the hagravens to replace his heart with a briar heart, and his connection to the forces of nature magic was complete.

After leading numerous successful raids on villages and settlements, he decided it was once again time for the Forsworn to attack and take Markarth. The Civil War was in full effect and Ulfric had no way of interrupting their reign yet again. And with his Hedge Magic, penetrating the walls would be no problem. However, the Dwemer returned, and he wasn't about to let his future home fall into the hands of filthy elves.

Other:

While his magic is formidable, he cant use nature magic for more than a minute before his magicka is diminished. Luckily, he enchanted his gear to replenish his magicka more quickly.

Would you mind giving an example or two of Nature/Hedge magic? I have no experience with this type, but I do applaud you on being original and expanding a bit to grow your character. I also think, feel free to argue with me here, that Nature/Hedge magic would be a better fit for your Primary skill.

Nature Magic is lore-wise a form of magic that only the Hagravens know of. Rather than drawing on the magicka reserves within the caster's body, they draw power from the land around them. The only reason Briar-hearts are made is so that they can tune into this nature magic.

If you've ever played Elder Scrolls Online and been to either Wrothgar, the Rift, or Glenumbra, then you've seen Hedge Magic. Its like... giant thorny vines that seem to be alive. Its used in sieges to collapse walls and is often used right in the middle of soldier forces to disrupt them long enough for other forsworn soldiers to charge in and make quick work of them.

_skyshard_Where_vines_strangle_the_sleeping_dead._image_eso_2014_01_13_03_38_06_818_m.jpg

The thorn in the background is an example.

I had originally put it as as my primary skill but i switched it to destruction magic, I didn't know if you'd accept a non-player skill as my primary skill.

Based off of that description, I think there is no reason not to accept you. And as it stands now, I do think that Nature/Hedge magic would be better where it is now. Also, it's nice to see you again.

My first issue is only with formatting. The way it is formatted under race almost makes it look like Cathay-raht is a new race. My suggestion is stating it something like "Khajiit (Cathay-raht)." Anyway, now we move past the stupid stuff. For this RP you need to think of it more as it's own world and less of a video game. How would increasing attack speed truly work beyond a video game standpoint? the only way that worked in Skyrim (that I remember) was a shout that changed how air worked around your weapon, and that isn't something that I can see your character learning. Just out of curiosity, why 21 seconds? The last thing I can think of is your bio. I'm going to need something in that section. It doesn't need to be much (and certainly not as long as mine), but not empty. Though it shouldn't matter because it's not like our characters are going to read this. It's really only here to serve two purposes: to make people put effort into their characters and so I know your character is structured on something find acceptable. Sorry for the long post, I have a bad habit of getting carried away.

★★★RECORDS (HISTORY)

Faction Dark brotherhood (Listener)

History

Born in the last few years of the Third Era, his parents were killed when he was two while fleeing the flood of Deadra that entered Summerset Isle. They managed to place him in the care of their kinsmen at the Crystal Tower before dying, and there he stayed with several other younglings, hiding in the deepest chambers of the Tower when the Deadra swarmed the Altmer's last stronghold. However, he has no recollection of their faces and names.

Azareal grew up in the early stages of the Fourth Era as an orphan in the care of a small group of Altmer veterans who were present at the Last Stand of the Crystal Tower, listening to his caretakers' stories and ideas about unifying the lands. It is no wonder he decided to join the Aldmeri Dominion when it was recreated in Fourth Era 29.

In Fourth Era 171, when the Great War was waged between the armies of the Aldmeri Dominion and the Imperials, Azareal participated in the invasion of Cyrodill more, specifically, Western Cyrodill. Under Lord Arannelya's command, the portion of the army that crossed Western Cyrodill took Avil and Kvatch before crossing the border into Hammerfall and invading the Redguard's homeland. When the Imperial city was retaken by the Cyrodillic-Skyrim armies, the Dominion and the Imperials agreed to a ceasefire and thus the White-Gold Concordat was formed. At this time, Azareal had already participated in numerous battles and seen the Aldmeri Lords' increasingly fanatic beliefs that the Altmeri were superior. Having experienced the world outside Summerset Isle, Azareal became rather disillusioned with the ideas of the Dominion, especially when he witnessed worshippers of Talos - men, women,
children and elderlies alike - being mercilessly cut down.

A decade after accepting the position of Thalmor Justicar and being stationed in Skyrim, Azareal made a decision to quit the Dominion. While he was no stranger to death and bloodshed, he didn't care for senseless killings of children and those who couldn't fight back. Hence, when the opportunity came, he freed the prisoners that were locked up in the Dominion Headquarters and faked his death during the outbreak, making the other Thalmor think that he was killed in the scuffle. Now free, he travelled over Skyrim for several years, making profits by doing odd jobs and contracts. He bumped into a rather insane but amusing joker by the name of Cicero one day, helping him free the carriage and following him to his destination. That was the start of Azareal joining the Dark Brotherhood.

★★★PERSONALITY

Azareal always has a smile on his face and seemingly indifferent to everything that is happening around him. In actual fact, it is him suppressing his visible emotions to make him more difficult to read in combat or to be detected when sneaking up on his targets. He is courteous and polite, although his tone has a general mocking lilt to it, greeting friend and foe alike the same way, who rarely loses his calm, even when surprised or angered. But he can seem to be creepy, distant and calculating due to his constantly smiling nature and refusal to talk more than necessary, when absolutely necessary in the presence of strangers. He is extremely devoted to his Dark Brotherhood Family. He is confident in his abilities, is also a quick thinker and knows how to analyse a situation quickly to determine the best possible route.

Azareal is also rather mild-mannered and a hard person to offend, waving off insults and jokes in an equally offhanded manner, as long as it is directed at him only, of course. Quick to banter with people he has been acquainted with before or anyone he is comfortable around, he is the sort of man that is easy to work alongside as long as he is not being his typical lazy self - and if one can ignore the constant smiles and
jabbing comments - which usually rubs some people the wrong way. He is serious when he has an objective to work towards and will do whatever it takes to complete it. He works best when sufficiently motivated and/or under pressure. If not, he is pretty lax and uninitiative.

★★SKILLS

Primary Skill

Archery

Secondary Skills

Destruction, Sneak, Illusion

Unique Skills

Arrows can lock onto targets if his attention is focussed entirely on said target and where he wants the arrow to hit. Obviously, it would not work if the target is beyond maximum range of the bow.

Other Azareal is not physically strong, preferring to rely on speed, agility and stealth to take his opponents and enemies out, as befitting his position as an assassin. He is atrocious at close combat and handling blades and other melee weapons.

Having experienced the world outside Summerset Isle, Azareal became rather disillusioned with the ideas of the Dominion, especially when he witnessed worshippers of Talos - men, women, children and elderlies alike - being mercilessly cut down. A decade after accepting the position of Thalmor Justicar and being stationed in Skyrim, Azareal made a decision to quit the Dominion. While he was no stranger to death and bloodshed, he didn't care for senseless killings of children and those who couldn't fight back. Hence, when opportunity came, he freed the prisoners that were locked up in the Dominion Headquarters and faked his death during the outbreak, making the other Thalmor think that he was killed in the scuffle. Now free, he travelled over Skyrim for several years, making profits by doing odd jobs and contracts. He bumped into a rather insane but amusing joker by the name of Cicero one day, helping him free the carraige and following him to his destination.

Only two problems with this. The first being his unique skill. How does that even work? I get that he is good at archery, but how does that allow his arrows to gain homing abilities (assuming I understand wheat you're saying)? There would need to be some reason behind your unique skill. If you read my bio, first congratulations on having the patience, and second there is an obvious reason for his skill. Now I don't expect yours to be so flushed out, but I hope it demonstrates my point. If you don't feel the need for a unique skill, then don't. My only other issue is far less important. If you could, please state in his bio when he became a vampire. And if you wouldn't mind splitting up the bio into paragraphs that would be great (sorry, this was a last second addition).

Yeah, I couldn't exactly think of a unique skill. Would it be possible to leave it blank now and add it in later (though I might not even add it)?

Second, he is not a vampire. I decided against it. As for his age, Altmeri are High Elves so, you know...

And third, yeah, done that.

Just say "none" in that section if you don't want one. If you want to add one later that seems to fit your character that's fine, just PM me or something like that first for confirmation. I guess I just assumed he was a vampire because of the age. If I'm being honest here, I hate how everyone thinks elves should have such extreme longevity. In my mind, elves should be old and decrepit by the time they reach 300. Any time I make an elf in a world I have created, that's about the lifespan I give them. Meanwhile I'm here reading up on some forums on the average length of an elf's life in the Elder Scrolls and, according to some, they can live thousands of years. Basically an elf can live through the events of Arena and still be alive after the events of Skyrim. But, this isn't my world and your age is lore friendly so I have no reason to deny it based on that. Sorry for making you read that, I just felt the need to rant.

No, it's fine to rant about things you don't find particularly appealing.

Also, if you hate that, you shouldn't go near any LotR forums XP (Just saying...)

Anyway, I have edited N/A into his Unique Skills section and put his Bio into paragraphs.

300 is actually the average end of most of the elven lifespans in Elder Scrolls. However, through magic and power, many live to be thousands of years old. This is a very small number of elves, however. Theres a reddit post somewhere with all the lifespans of the races. Breton was the shortest, altmer was the longest

Marina Drusus

Lion's Bane

Age

29

Gender

Female

Race

Imperial (Werelion)

Sexuality

Bi

Family

Varius Drusus (Father)

Petronia Drusus (Mother)

Homeland

Marina has no country that she would consider her homeland, but has set up shop (literally) in Solitude, Skyrim.

Occupation

Treasure Hunter/Thief/Merchant

Armor:

Nordic Armor

Weapons:

- Dragon Bone Swords (found in a tomb)

- Ebony Bow & Steel Arrows

- Silver Dagger

Primary Skill:

One-Handed

Secondary Skills:

- Speech

- Lock-picking

- Heavy Armor

Unique Skills:

Master of the Beast - A blessing from the Deadra Hircine himself, Marina possesses an intimate control over her lycanthropy. Not only is she is able to control when she transforms, but she is able to turn completely into a lion as well as transforming individual body parts. Yes, there is a story behind this. And no, I'm not going to tell you yet.

Factions:

- Khajiit caravans

- Bards College

- College of Winterhold

Personality

If there was only one word to describe Marina it would confident. Confident in her looks; confident in her skills; and confident in business. She is the kind of women that laughs in the face of danger, even when death is certain. Of course confidence isn't the only thing that defines her. She enjoys cracking dirty jokes and yet is oblivious when it comes to her own romance. She has a deep love of adventure and uncovering the truth behind legends, but at the same time sees no reason not to make a profit while she's at it. In fact she is always looking for a way to profit from any given situation (much to the chagrin of her companion and assistant, Liette Camorun), and she always gets what she wants whether she has to barter for it, steal it, or fight for it. Despite this she is charitable to those worse off than herself and is always willing to help those in need.

In battle Marina prefers to strike from a distance, firing poison tipped arrow from the shadows upon unsuspecting foes. Should her enemies notice her, she switches to duel-wielding swords and attacks with speed and ferocity, surprising her opponents with her agility despite wearing heavy armor. She also wields magic but rarely uses it for combat.

Marina has a dark secret that she can't tell anyone as it could mean her life or death. As for what that is... well, I've left enough clues for you to figure it out... (or just look at her race and unique skill)

Biography

Born but not raised in Cyrodiil, Marina has spent her entire life traveling Tamriel. Her parents, both mages of the College of Winterhold and archaeologists, would often bring her with them into the ruins they were studying. While many would question the decision to bring a young child into trap filled dungeons, no harm ever came to her and it nurtured in her a love for history and adventure. However there was one thing she couldn't agree with her parents on. Money. Her parents were never interested in making a profit on their finds and only made just enough to travel to the next dig-site. Tiered of being poor, Marina struck out on her own when she only fourteen.

It was shaky at first, scrounging through ruins, sneaking into excavation-sites at night, and stealing relics from nobles that couldn't appreciate what they had, but Marina eventually began to turn a profit and even began making a name for herself. She made a bigger name for herself in Elsweyr at the age of nineteen when she slew a giant werelion that was terrorizing the city of Orcrest. In thanks for her actions, the Clan Mother of the city adopted her into their tribe and gave Marina one of her earrings, which she wears to this day. She was also given the name
Var-dariit Di Qaraiit, which roughly translates to Killer of the Cat-Person. She has shortened this to Lion's Bane.

Four years later in Valenwood, Marina met a Bosmer girl who was sick of her mundane life. After a brief adventure together, Marina invited Liette Camorun to join her and the two of them have been traveling together since. Curently Liette has take a break from adventuring to study at the Bards College.

[/QUOTE]
First, I have to rant before this drives me 100% off the edge (please try not to take offense as this is aimed at many people who have joined my role plays and only very slightly at you). Why do people think when I say "Read the rules in the Overview Tab first (I will know if you have not)" that I don't mean every word of it? I have had people perfect their character until the last thing keeping them from joining is reading the rules. You were no where near as bad, but would it have killed you to read them first like I asked and not nearly 10 minutes after posting your character? Sorry to rant like that, but this has been a problem that has been wearing on me for many many months.

Now onto your character. The biggest problem that I see is that she's a jack-of-all-trades. She is an expert of melee combat, skilled with a bow, and proficient enough with magic to join the College of Winterhold. Plus she's a merchant. My advise would be to drop drop magic and archery. You can still be skilled in archery, just drop it back to where she only uses it for hunting or something like that. I'm not trying to say never use magic either, just maybe only be mildly proficient at it. As for your unique skill… too far. I'm not going to accept turning into a full lion or shifting individual body parts. Since that dropped it back pretty far, I'm going to suggest adding that she maintains more of her wolf senses when in human form than others to replace the other skills. And yes, you are going to tell me. You can send me a PM and I don't expect the full thing, just enough of an outline to help me feel confident that you're making it reasonable since Dadra are messy.

The last thing is your factions. Correct me if I'm wrong, but you seem to have very little to do with the Khajiit Caravans. As best as I can tell, my character has more to do with them than yours and he still isn't really part of their faction (anymore). It also doesn't appear to me that she is part of the Bard's College, only Liette is. Unless I'm missing part of this story, it looks like she cut off from the College of Winterhold a long time ago and isn't part of that either (unless she actually joined, as stated above). Putting "none" is ok, and it looks like it to me. All that said, I'm not you and don't know what you're thinking. If there is anything I got wrong here, please correct me and I'll be glad to admit my mistake.

Did she find the Dadric swords, smith them, or were they a gift?

in the bio i said the daedric sword is a gift from her uncle along with her scimitar. He got it off a traveler who got it from another and so forth till it eventually leads to someone from morrowind abotu 200 years ago

and its just one sword
