Realistic or Modern Ebzomix Virus

Alex had watched the man talk to Sam then leave warning them about the zombies up ahead. The guy seem not to really care what happened to them which Alex understood. In this world if you wanna survive you have to look after yourself. You cant expect others to do it for you. He had lowered his guard when the guy began talking to Sam asking her how many people shes killed. Sam didn't answer him which made him a bit curious. But he shook away this thoughts about the subject. It wasn't any of business what she had and hadn't done Alex told himself. Then they all watched as the man left telling them that he'd always be on channel 4. He looked back at the group while throwing his rifle over his shoulder. "Well i suppose not everyone is friendly these days". He then remembered that his car was out of gas. I should probably find some gas and get back on the road. But the truth was that Alex didn't want to. He had finally found other people and they weren't trying to kill him. He didn't like being alone. It got old pretty quickly. But he figured they wouldn't join forces like in the movies over a little event. Trust was hard to earn these days. So he stood there waiting to see what the others would do now.

After leaving the group of people Izaya found himself at a nearby gas station though not going this cause he knew there would be nothing for him he just searched around for more supplies finding a few rusted tool that were of no use but then turn hearing a few noises coming from inside the station "another zombie or a survivor I can only hope"

Sam lowered her knife, but kept a firm grip on it as she walked over to Alex and wrote on his arm the words: Thank you. After that she lowered her hands to her side, her mind pondering the thought of actually joining them in a group, though seconds ago she would have wanted to be alone, which yes it was strange for her to want to join a group, but she had been alone for quite some time now and in a way she missed being around people. Either way she wasn't sure if she'd actually join them or not, or if they would even form a group.

-Arayhai stands looking around at the others around her. Well what the hell do I do now? We're they grouping up? We're they going separate was? Personally, Arayhia wouldn't mind being a group. Beig alone for so long with just her sister.. Well she's a bit lonely. And it would mean extra protection for all of them, especially her sister. Trusting doesn't come easy, but they don't seem to want to hurt her, and her sister seems taken with Alex. She's been staring since he gave her the chocolate. Arayhia rocks back an forth on her heels, biting her lip, with a slight frown creasing her features. What am I doing?

"no problem" Alex said to Sam "but i didn't really do anything" he shrugged. Then after a few moments of awkward silence he said "so i couldn't help but notice that we all seem to be on our own its just a suggestion but how about we group up for the time being. It doesn't have to be permanent heck it could just be till we leave town but being in a group would give us protection and we'd be more intimidating like with that weirdo back there." He waited to see what the others responses would be. He wouldn't blame them if they wanted to go out on there own they had survived this long he had no doubt in his mind they could continue surviving without him.He tried to think of what else to say Alex had never been one for speeches then a sly grin stretched across his face as he thought of something else to say. "plus you are ladies after all what kind of man would i be if i didn't offer you delicate flowers my protection" He then winked at lily and flexed this biceps once again. He hoped that if nothing else this would at least put everyone at ease again. Alex had always been a bit of a jokester but only to make people laugh. He found that this was the easiest way to make friends at least in high school it was.

-Arayhia listens to Alex speak and begins thinking about it. It couldn't hurt. Surviving this long, hasn't been easy, as no doubt she could continue on. But did she want to by theirselves anymore. When he winks at Lily and she giggles, it's like music to her ears. She doesn't giggle and laugh as much anymore. She decides teaming up is a good choice if only for more protection for Lily. "Even though I am definitely not a delicate flower." She puts air quotes around delicate flowers. "I'd be happy to join up with you guys. And I'm sure Lily would as well."

Sam sighs a little bit and holds up her knife, looking at the symbol on it, her finger tracing it over ad over again out of habit as she chewed on her lower lip a bit. Her mind thought over the idea of a group several time, turning the thought over nd over again. She hadn't gotten close to anyone in a long time it felt like, and surely if she was in a group they might expect her to share personal details and she really wasn't the type to do that, then again a group would be useful and she was starting to feel quite lonely..so maybe being in a group for a few miles couldn't hurt. Sam nodded to herself as she decided she'd join them for a short time, but wouldn't get close to anyone. It was best that way. Sam;s hand closed on the knife tightly as she looked to Alex and nodded once.

Arayhai smiles at Sam when she agrees to join the group. Where are they planning on going? She doesn't really have any place in mind, so wherever they want to go is fine. For the first time since the outbreak she doesn't feel so alone. And shes sure Lily is happy being in a larger group. More people to interact with is good.

"Do we have a destination in mind? Or are we trying to find somewhere to barricade? Or are we just going to keep moving?" She look around at the group as she asks these questions, wondering about their answers.

"sweet so looks like were stuck with each other for a while" Alex said with a smile. He though about what Arayhai said. Where would they go ? they could get gas for his car then go somewhere but to where ? Everywhere as far as he knew was crawling with zombies. "well i have a jeep down the street we could get gas for it then head off somewhere or i guess we could find a place to barricaded and holdout in up to you guys" He scanned the streets and noticed two zombies coming from the direction that Izaya had come from. "hey guys we better decided quick looks like we got some company heading our way" He then pulled his gun out again. Im getting sick of pulling this thing out. He aimed it at the closes one but he really didn't want to fire unless he had to he spared a glace towards his group to see if they had made a decision.

-Thinking about her options, which would be safer? Which would make getting food and supplies easier? Arayhia desperately wanted Lily to be safe and cared for, but would traveling or barricading be better for her. Arayhia voices a suggestion. "What if we find a place, easy to defend, and gather as much supplies as possible? Then when we have sufficient supplies, food, maybe some better clothes, warmer, we can decide a place to go. So we're not wandering aimlessly." After speaking Arayhia bites her lip, lookig around at the others. At the sound of growling, she turns, grabbing the knife from her belt loop. She looks at Alex and gestures for him to put the gun down. No sense in attracting attention. As the zombies get closer she aims with her knife, waiting a moment and throwing. The knife sinks into the zombies skull, not exactly where she aimed but close enough. She grabs her other knife, throwing it quickly, this one sinks into the others eye. They both crumple to the ground. She walks over slowly, kicking them to make sure they're actually dead, ad pullin her knifes out quickly.-

Sam looked to Lily and Arayhia, watching as she killed the zombies. She was impressed the girl would throw like that and aim like that. It was an impressive skill to have these days. With another small sigh Sam looked to Alex ad wrote on his arm the words: Supplies first then we keep moving? It was a suggestion of what she would have done. She didn't like to stay in one place, it was too risky and it left your human scent to be more easily sniffed out by the zombies.

Alex was also impressed by Arayhia's knife throwing skills he give her a thumbs up when he turn to face them. The thought about the decided "yeah i think we should just focus on getting supplies and moving. Stay to long in one place and the zombies will gather. But dont worry we should be safe as long as we stay vigilant." He then started towards the opposite direction where the two dead zombies came from. "come on we better get going on finding some supplies maybe we could find a gas station or something and get some gas for my car that way we could travel a lot faster. We should also look for food how much food are you guys carrying?" He pulled out his bag as he continued to walk "all i have is a bag of chips and an empty water-bottle" He sighed feeling like a burden and wishing that he had more to offer. He lost most of his supplies while in the city before he got to New Haven.

Sam pulled her backpack off her back and pulls out an tin can with to wrapper around it and a plastic water bottle that was half full. That was all she really had to offer since it was all she had sound in the past week. It was as though New Haven was dry, no food and no running water which was a pity but oh well. Sam eyed the can for a bit then shook her head as she walked along side Alex. She was hungry yes, but wouldn't eat until the pain ws so bad she couldn't take it anymore, but even then she would't eat much she couldn't really other wise she'd get sick and throw everything up, it was her body's way of getting revenge.

Katrina had stood by silently ever since that strange man had come and gone. So many thoughts were running through her head, and they only doubled once everyone had started talking about being in a group. She didn't know if she wanted that. She liked having to only look after herself, to go anywhere she wanted without telling others. They seemed like great people, but she just didn't want a group.

By the time she made up her mind, it seemed that the group had already formed, and they were on their way to some gas station. With their backs to her, Katrina quietly slipped away. She would go on alone, but she wished them all the luck in the world.

-As Arayhia walks along next to Sam and Alex, she slides of her satchel, opening it and looking inside. "Well, I have.." She russles around in her bag for a moment. "Four cans of food, two bottles of water." She wishes she had more. That wouldn't last long. But she would happily share. Hopefully they could scavenge enough to move on quickly. Where are they moving on to? Honestly Arayhia doesn't really care where they go, as long as they're safe. She really likes these people, and they seem skilled. She's actually kind of glad she decided to move today.

As they walk, she looks around for good places to raid. Most of the houses and stores had already been raided, but maybe they'd get lucky. The sun is starting to set as well, so they have to look for a place to sleep. "Where should we go when the sun sets? We can try to get some sleep, take turns keeping watch?"

"Hmm well first let's find a building to search it looks like it's around noon so we could possibly search to buildings. We'll chose one to stay for the night and yeah we can take turns keeping watch" Alex had forgotten about having somewhere safe to sleep and he knew there supplies would run out quick. They need a safe place and food. They continued walking discussing what they would do where they would go and things like that. He looked at the buildings and tried to find a good one to raid. There were houses and small shops but many of them looked as through they had already been raided or had nothing good in them . He continued looking though and would make occasional jokes. He didn't get maybe laughs but he thought he lighted the mood a bit at least. The only one who seemed to laugh at his joke seem to be lily. He didn't mind though he was among nice people. A group finally he thought.

Arayhia warms up more to the group, they're nice people. Alex cracks jokes and she smiles a bit. Lily seems to love him, which she is thankful for, him being nice to her. It's easy to overlook a child, especially with having to keep an eye out for zombies, look for food. She continues to glance around. They walk a couple blocks, before Arayhia sees an apartment building. She stops and points towards it. It's probably fifteen or so floors. "Why don't we look in there? Maybe the top floors having something? And we can come back here tonight, it'll be easy to defend. No zombies I know can climb that high, so we'll just have to watch te door tonight." She looks at Sam ad Alex, wait into see what they think.

Sam shakes her head and and trails her index finger over the Skin on her arm, the message being: It's too high up. Some may not climb that high, but that doesn't mean they won't be waiting at the bottom, however if you wish too look into it I'll go in alone and tell you what I find? It was a suggestion of the sorts and though she would have normally avoided such a tall building, it was worth investigating, though more then likely it would be full of corpses.

-Thinking about for a moment, she weighs the options. There are probably a bunch of zombies in there. There might be a little food, but is it worth going threw the hassle of zombies? But maybe.. She circles around the building and there's a fire escape on the other side. That would make it a lot easier to get up and check the top floors. "You're rigt about there being zombies in there, that'd be quite a bit of trouble. But we can go up the fire escape pretty quickly, and avoid the majority of them. How about that?" She looks back at Sam and Alex. Waiting for one to speak. Everyone needs to be in accord when making decisions, so if they don't want to do something Arayhia is perfectly fine with that. She just sees no harm in throwing out ideas.

Alex thought that the fire escape would be a lot easier. "yeah my votes on the fire escape and i dont think we should all go up yet maybe one of us could scout it real quick to see more or less what were dealing with." Alex though for a moment longer."if we do find this place crawling with zombies though im sure we could lure them out through the front door or just look for a different place and im sure no ones really thought about raiding an apartment building because of how big it is and how many zombies could be in there, people would have gone to stores and buildings like that." It would be tricky to barricade the whole building. They could clear each floor one by one if they decided to take the building. then just seal off the bottom floor so no more zombies could get in.

That sounded like a fine idea, but who would go up? Arayhia ha now problem going up, but not with Lily. That's was too dangerous, but maybe she could stay down here with them? It all came down to trust. And they didn't have to barricade the whole building, maybe just the top floor, it' be a bit easier. "Well I don't mind going up and checking in out. But I hage to leave Lily places without me. We only have to barricade the top floor, we can just use the fire escape to go in as out. But if you guys want to do the whole building, that's alrigt as well." Arayhai really doesn't have a preference, the whole building would be nice, but it would take a lot of energy to do. Maybe they should check it out, see how many are in there before they decide whether or not to barricade the whole thing.

Sam shakes her head an point to herself. She may hate the idea of how small the fire escape looked, and how they'd be on the top floor..but she would get over it. She was just paranoid about things like this, as she knew all to well what happens when you go up..all you can do is come back down..and sometimes that meant instant death. Sam shook herself from her mental rant and offered them a small smile as she stepped forward to face the stairs of the fire escape.

Arayhia nods her head at Sam and watches her step forward. Though sage doesn't want her to go alone, she's thankful she volunteered. She hates nothing more than being away from Lily, and she can't very well keep her with her and go up te small fire escape, Into the unknown. She hopes Sam will be okay.

She turns around and faces away from the building. She scans the street around her, making sure no one is creeping up on them, an waits for Sam to check the building.

Alex nodded "just take a quick look and be careful" he playfully patted Sam's head "and don't take any unnecessary risks in there." He was actually concerned for her witch surprised him. He then helped her get onto the fir escape witch wasn't really necessary but he did it anyways. The three watched as Sam began climbing up and then disappearing into the building. Alex scanned the streets making sure no enemies were near. They had to make sure things were clear down here for when Sam came back. Zombies He thought to himself. Just then He began to have another coughing fit and he fell to his knees coughing uncontrollably. This lasted for about three mins before he was able to completely stop and gather himself. It wasn't so bad plus he was glad he had one of his "fits" here when it was safe rather then when in combat. One day this infection is going to cost me my life he thought. He picked himself up and continued to scan the streets wishing that Sam would hurry and tell them that it wasn't so bad inside but that was just wishful thinking.

She watches as Alex helps her up the fire escape. He really is a nice guy. Seeing her climb the fire escape she, hopes its sturdy, and that she'll be okay once she gets up there. Suddenly Alex starts a coughing fit, and he goes down onto his knees. Concerned for him, she steps closer. Not having any idea what to do, she pats his back a bit until he stops coughing. She takes a bottle of water out of her pack, handing it to him. "Are you alright? Do you need anything?" Arayhia is surprisingly concerned, but he is a nice guy. And he's sweet to Lily. She looks over her shoulder at Lily, to find er wide blue eyes aimed at Alex, a frown creases her pale skin.
