Fandom DWMA - A Sound Soul - Soul Eater RP

Archaius nodded at Takono before thinking for a moment. "What do you want to do now then?" He asked him as he stuffed his hands in his sweater pockets, that motion being accompanied with the sound of pills rattling around in a cylindrical bottle in his sweater. "What's with the mask, by the way?" He had finally inquired. "I was going to ask earlier, but I didn't want to sound rude or anything." Archaius said to him, looking at said mask that covered Takono's face.

The first week had been interesting for Bard. There was, for starters, the matter that his original partner, unsurprisingly, had forgotten about him and he was put in another squad as to make up for it and allow him to be in a group of three. It wasn't ideal, that's for sure. A group of three definitely drew attention, not his cup of tea. On the bright side or down side, this mean he didn't have a weapon. As such he would go under the radar, hopefully. He wasn't sure how many students would be talking about a solo meister. Still, it didn't bother him too much for him not to have a weapon. After all, his team mates seemed nice enough and he was adept enough at using his soul as a weapon and could protect himself if need be. Not only that but he had been practicing hard in his spare time to use his wavelength and create shields and barriers. He had also spent most of his time reading and trying to match the wavelengths of others in secret. He was getting better at it for sure, able to see their soul wavelengths much easier. He figured being able to resonate would definitely help in the future should he ever actually get in a direct confrontation.

He sat, eyes closed in the library, enjoying the silence and feeling the wavelengths of everyone inside of the school. It was nice. So many people hustling and bustli- wait. One of those was his team mates, and he was agitated. Great, it was too early for this. He sighed, standing up, walking out into the halls, trying to keep track of everyone's wavelength as he walked and moved. It was more difficult whenever he wasn't focusing, and as such it faded in and out constantly, but he was getting better at it. It was as if he had an entire map of where everyone was, albeit not a very clear one unless he stood still. He walked through the halls, looking side to side and trying to memorize as many people and as many wavelengths as humanly possible, accidentally bumping into someone as he did so.

(Bard is open for any interaction, feel free to make him bump into your character)

Yoshiya was jostled from his daydream as he collided with another student. "Oops sorry about that" He said apologetically "I tend to space out now and again. Are you alright?" He examined the student whom he had bumped into. He looked similar to the description Ryu had given him of one of his teammates. "Could this be the youth that Ryu said was added to his team? I wonder...' He smiled at the other student "I'm Yoshiya Kiryūin. Tell me, have you perchance met my cousin Ryu?"

(That's not exactly how souls work. They can show current emotion but deeper than that, not really.)

John looked the stranger up and down with a blank expression as he blinked. 'Brothers? I suppose that makes sense.' John thought to himself looking the newcomer over. "Yes he is on my team, though not my weapon. He's in the training room, evidently getting angry at someone. I'm on my way to chop his forehead with a book and call him a baka, possibly dragging him back. If you would like I can give you the book and you can hit him on the noggin." He said holding out a quite lengthy book that had a picture of a white creature that had large feet and a dapper outfit as the author. "Just don't hurt the book. It's by my favorite author, he's quite humorous, albeit quite egotistical."

Jason's first view of the DWMA was...well, pretty freaking cool, actually. After managing to walk up all those steps, he stood at the entrance and stared for a bit. "This place is AMAZING! The beds must be incredible!!". He wandered around the inside for awhile, trying to find where his orientation was being held. "Man, this place may be TOO amazing. It's just so massive! How will I ever find somewhere soft to sleep?"

((Actually it is possible to tell someone's personality through soul perception: "[using soul perception] one could assess an individual's Soul Wavelength, personality, and even capability and type of soul, as well as emotional states". source))

Yoshiya smiled, recognizing the book "No no that's quite alright. As for the fight, that does sound like Ryu" He sighed "He's always getting into fights. I suppose I should go talk some sense into him. You're welcome to join me if you'd like" He turned and started walking to the gym at a leisurely pace.

As the two entered the clearing William immediately became alert of his surroundings. He'd never been here before, and his partner gave no word as to what today's 'exercise' was going to be. The fact that the forest was otherwise silent besides the occasional chirp of a bird made William uncomfortable.

Yet, this was more than just another day. He hadn't trained for two whole weeks just to make nothing of it. Today was more than another day of training.. It was a test, or at least he'd view it as one. He wore a bright baby blue t-shirt that copied the color of the early-morning sky. For ease of movement (or out of complete, utter laziness) he kept on the black sweatpants he'd slept in the previous night.

He curiously tilted his head to the side, "Yeah uh.. First things first. Before we begin, what's the other sword for?" He asked, pointing his index finger to the blade that Kayden held.

@Hoki

He raised the sword in his hand, looking it over with his calm expression. "This time will be different, remember?" Kayden informed him, taking the time to stab the blade into the ground, "And a living, breathing target is different from the dummies we've used before."

The weapon held a hand out in front of him, the palm facing upward and fingers bent slightly as if in preparation to grab hold of something. "You'll be testing yourself in a fight against a person more familiar with swords than yourself."

He willed his soul to calm itself, to prepare for what would come next.

A linear form of light created itself over his hand, bending and twisting before taking the shape of an oh-so-familiar sword. With the crisp shing of clashing metal, the light broke away and revealed the dark katana with the wrapped hilt, the raven taking hold of it like a regular weapon; he had split his soul in front of the meister, continuing to stand before him in a human form while his weapon form rested in his grasp.

Separate.

Takono blinked and glanced over at Archaius when he heard the sound of the pills hitting the plastic in his pocket. He then looked away, not wanting to make things awkward, and he didnt want to question it. He then replied "I'm alright with anything really, but I might go into town and get something to eat. You can come with me if you like. I'll buy you something if you're hungry." Takono said. He wandered around a little and then stopped moving again when Archaius asked about his mask. He was quiet for an odd amount of time. He thought about how to answer, not wanting to be too sentimental about it. "I.............uh.... it's a gift." He answered with some hesitance.

Archaius looked up at Takono (lol I just noticed that he's like eight inches shorter) as the silver-haired male looked at him when he stuffed the map back into his pocket. He furrowed a brow at the other male before Takono had finally looked away awkwardly. What is he looking at like that? Archaius wondered. He then pressed his lips together as he realized that Takono had probably heard the rattling of the glucose pill bottle in his pocket when he put the map away. Because, he guessed that it was normally strange for people to just carry around pills in their pocket? He shrugged it off, looking at his expression and guessing that Takono did not want to ask for the fear of it being awkward. Eh.

Archaius looked up at Takono when he finally spoke again. He said that he could possibly go into town today to go get something to eat, also offering to Archaius to buy something for him if he had so wished. "I'm fine right now, but thanks for the offer." He said with a small hand raise signaling gratitude. "Actually, I'm low right now, so I guess I can go for something sweet." He said, with 'low' referring to his blood sugar levels. Of course, being only around his parents for most of his life rather than public schooling, he thought that everyone knew about him being a type one diabetic. When, in actuality, it was the exact opposite, with not many people knowing about it instead. "I have money with me though, so that it's no trouble to you." Archaius told him kindly.

When Takono had finally answered about his mask, Archaius figured that it was a touchy subject to him, seeing that there was some hesitation in him answering. "Uh... Alright. Let's go?" He asked, trying to break from the awkwardness of the topic of Takono's mask. Archaius had not, however, noticed how insensitive he may have sounded by attempting to change the subject.

@DarkElite020

Takono blinked. 'Low?' He thought. 'I wonder what he meant by that.' He rubbed the back of his neck then looked over at him. Maybe he meant low as in upset? "Hey um.... are you...feeling ok?" He asked. He then continued "I dont mind paying for it. If I did I wouldn't have offered." He said with a smile. Though sighed when he realized that Archaius couldn't see. Oh well. When the weapon responded, he just nodded. "Sure."

@PlaguedWithInsanity

When Takono had asked his if he was okay, Archaius had laughed and smiled at him. "Yeah, I'm fine. Just need some sugar." He said, not realizing that he had no idea what the brunette had meant by the diabetic term. After asking whether or not he was okay, the masked individual had told him again that he did not mind paying to get Archaius something to eat. Coming the conclusion that saying otherwise to Takono again about him being able to pay instead would be fruitless on continuing, he simply nodded as well and began down the hall, expecting for Takono to follow.

Deciding that he could not wait anymore to go eat something just as the nausea of low sugar began to set in, Archaius pulled out the bottle from his sweater pocket pocket and opened it. He poured out a couple pink chewable tablets into his palm, all of them being about the circumference of a quarter. He then closed the cylindrical bottle and stuffed it back into his pocket. He began to eat the pink tablets, one by one as him and Takono walked down the long academy halls.

Takono began following after him. When he noticed that Archaius was taking out the pill bottle from his pocket, he became curious. He peered over the shorter boy's shoulder and watched him pour a few of the tablets into his palm. He kept a bit of distance from him, not wanting the weapon to notice that he was paying extra attention to it. He then watched as he ate a few of the tablets. He wanted to ask what they were for, but he kept his mouth shut.

@PlaguedWithInsanity

Archaius had indeed not noticed when Takono had looked over his shoulder to see what he was doing with the pink tablets as he had ingested the last one that was in his palm. They continued to walk down the hall, soon approaching the school's entrance yet again as they exited the school. The tablets would take a bit to take effect into his blood. "So where should we go?" he asked Takono. "Or, what do you feel like eating?" he corrected himself, then finally looking back at the masked individual. They began down the massive staircase.

@DarkElite020

This time will definitely be different. Different from training with the dummies. Different from most other sparring partners he had, although there weren't many. He wasn't the type to fight. William disliked getting his hands dirty, both in the literal and metaphorical senses. He furrowed his brow as the figure directly across from him formed a katana from what appeared to be thin air. He inspected the katana from afar, no doubt it was the very same blade that Kayden had the ability to transform into.

"Well, you certainly did say you were different.. Although I didn't expect that, and although that was a nice parlor trick, it doesn't impress me a single bit." He gave a light shrug of his shoulders, rocking back and forth on his heels as if suddenly bored. This was clearly his way of hiding his actual surprise. "Just give me the sword so we can finish this. There's this new movie I want to go watch and I'd rather get there before the line becomes too long."

UFO rubbed his chin thoughtfully. "If your arms are iron, then they're probably rusty. They'd break easily, don't you think? Also, they're called muscles. They're usually part of your basic vocabulary." he said matter-of-factly, not mindful of the fact that it sounded like a threat. He laid a hand on the larger golem, and the snowman golem slid off its back onto the floor. The small golem took UFO's skateboard, and stood near the door movingly. "And I always bring Golem no. S54 with me. I'm testing out Golem no. a125 right now to see if it's semi-decent. Of course, this is only the most basic of tests... If it proves to be useless, I'll just destroy it and make a new one."

He walked over to the dumbbells and weights in the gym, tapping them with his foot. The large golem picked up a weight, the clay it was made of moving smoothly. His eyes fell upon the rotten straw-head impassively. "Getting angry? Y'know, most people get angry when they're insulted because they know that there's truth in the insult." UFO sneered. "I've always thought stereotypes to be jokes, y'know... but looking at you... I'm feeling more and more sure that the dumb blonde stereotype is true." The idiot's breath was quickening with anger. Ah, that was good. Maybe he could test out a125 on him. That would make a good show for sure.

Kylei Crysten

Kylei coughed angrily and rubbed her arms. Baka.... Tch... This guy... She sighed and placed her hands behind her, staring at the golems with bored eyes. Aha, she wondered how long she had to deal with him until she became a death weapon? Jeez. The blonde tried to think of a comeback but her mind was blank. How?! She bit her lip in frustration and groaned silently. "Mph. And what's a stereotype about fake red head guys with makeup on their faces?..."Crysten watched in boredom, though she was staring in awe inside, as the larger golem lifted the weights. Well... It was huge... And lifting heavy things are more suitable for big guys right? If it can hold a truck over it's head... She needed to work on her arms more than that thing! Ants might even surpass her if she didn't work hard! Gah.. It was boring if she didn't get to participate in the weight lifting to boost her strength... Stupid tomato trying to bring her down.

Her eyes suddenly filled with interest as she grinned once again.
"Aha... You know what'd be fun! A bet... Or competition!!! Since we're all pissed off besides Nose Hair-sama, we should have a little fun, eh? Plus... His golems are slow and boring, so I'm bored..."

@Strawberry Preserves @Rhodus

"Why yes of course, sir," he responded sarcastically, huffing in obvious annoyance before pulling the other sword from ground. Whether it came as a surprise or not, Kayden took a few steps closer to the meister and handed the katana to him instead of the "replacement" sword - while handing it off, however, he was gingerly with the action.

When it was finally within William's hand, the male would be able to detect an actual wavelength coming from it; granted it was a tad bit weaker than the soul in front of him and greatly weaker than the full weapon had been, it was still there and familiar. As a sort of bonus, everything about it felt identical to the original weapon save for the slight variation in soul-weight.

Kayden then took a different position across from the male, lifting his other sword to be perpendicular to his body with the edge of the blade below his eyes. He leaned on his back foot and seemed to become more loose in the joints, despite being the smallest bit tense in his hold and limbs.

"Try copying my form," he soon instructed, speaking calmly with his equally calm, magenta gaze fixated on William, "While your opponent may not give you the best chance to do it during a fight, make your chance and return to this stance if you need to."

The weapon slowly inhaled then exhaled for example.

"If you're in a panic, it will calm you down and feel more natural; from this stance you can throw yourself into an array of different attacks so it's kind of helpful-"

He was speaking from his own experience, so there was quite a lot in his head about fighting with the katana, but he had been close to breaking out into a full on ramble.

Kayden tensed up lightly in preparation before giving a singular instruction;

"Come at me."

Takono followed along still. "hm...maybe...a bakery of some kind? Something sweet does seem good right now." He said, looking over to him. As they walked down the stairs, he looked around for a moment or two, before finally speaking up. "Hey um....if you don't mind me asking, what are those tablets for?" He said, then quickly after he said "I know its none of my business, so if you dont want to answer its totally fine. "

Archaius nodded at his suggestion of them possibly going to a bakery, as Takono said that he could go for something sweet as well. "Sounds good." He agreed as they began to tackle the massive staircase. A couple minutes later had Takono finally spoke up to Archaius, asking him about the tablets he had taken. "They're glucose pills." He responded. "I'm a type one diabetic." He said simply, looking over at Takono as they continued down the stairs. "That's what I meant by saying I'm 'low'. Low blood sugar." Archaius finished in his short explanation to Takono.

@DarkElite020

Takono listened, and then made a small nod. "oh.. Im sorry to hear that." he said. He continued down the steps and soon they reached the bottom. He wan't entirely sure what else to say to Archaius, not wanting to bring up something he didnt want to talk about. Maybe he didnt mind, but again he wasnt sure. Takono then dug through his bag and got out his map. He looked for any bakeries on the map. @PlaguedWithInsanity

"It's just something I have to live with. It's not a big deal or anything." Archaius responded, looking over at Takono as he had pulled out the city map from his bag. Although type one diabetes is a big deal, he has lived with it for so long that he does not see it as too tragic. As they made their way all the way down the staircase, Archaius walked by him to look at the map as well as they began through the city. "Now which one should we go to?" He asked, looking over the possible bakeries that they could go to.

@DarkElite020

Ryu had to concentrate harder and harder to stay focused. With each remark from the golemancer, Kai was scratching at the door with more and more intensity, threatening to take control. 'No' Ryu thought 'Fighting either him or his golem would prove nothing' 'But it would be so much fun to beat the ever living shit out of both of them' Said an all too familiar voice from inside his head 'And you know we could do it'

No. This was threatening to get out of hand. Ryu needed to remove himself from the situation before any of them did something stupid; before Kai made them do something stupid. "You know what?" he said to the golemancer "Fuck this. Fuck you. I'm out" He said as he turned to leave.

@Strawberry Preserves

"well...I think so" He mumbled. He then looked over the map. "Well, it depends on how far you want to walk. I actually haven't been to any of them in town... so which ever one you think is best" Takono said with a shrug. "I'm fine with anything as long as I get something to eat soon." He said, and as if one queue, his stomach rumbled slightly. @PlaguedWithInsanity

John walked through the halls, sighing as he closed his book, holding onto it as he moved to the training room, book in hand, ready to bop someone on the head if need be, arriving just in time to see Ryu more or less say 'Fuck this shit I'm out.'. He nodded. Good. He wasn't going to fight. He looked to the other people in the room, one looked like a rather hyperactive girl, nothing unusual about that. The other looked like a metaphorical bastard, possibly literal, John couldn't tell. He supposed anything was possible. "So. There any real reason why you're all getting agitated and trying to fight?" He said looking between all three members. "You're so loud I can hear you from well beyond the door." He said adjusting his glasses, sizing both of them up. The female looked good enough, he was pretty sure the male was a total asshat however.
