THIS ROLEPLAY WILL NOT BE A SIMPLER VERSION OF D&D SO PLEASE READ EVERYTHING I HAVE CHANGED BELOW
Backstory: Was born in, and grew up in Kaldi Eban, a major drow city. The drow, being overall treacherous and overwhelmingly evil, began to fight amongst themselves. In order to survive, the Toloth household fled Kaldi Eban and went into the Catacombs of Nerashia, a series of dangerous subterranean cavernous regions. Almost instantly they were attacked by the inhabitants; Hooked Horrors, giant caterpillars and carrion worms. Only a few escaped the massacres, and survived in the Catacombs of Nerashia for long. Entarro lasted many years and finally found his way to the surface.

Back Story: What he tells people changes each time but his actual story is that once their was a spellbook so powerful that it could cast spells on its own. And so it turned itself into a living creature! Had it been an elf before or was this truly what it appeared to be. Losing most of his abilities in the transformation hasn't effected Bathe, in fact he is glad about all of this and has been named Spellborne for that reason. He carries around the blank book as a reminder of his past but tells no one of it because he secretly fears of being turned back into a spell book.

Most of your character looks good. Interesting background by the way. This isn't going to be exactly like d&d though, it will be much simpler with a little more leeway. In this version we will not be using mods. Also your stats added together are over 60. If you read the text under the stats section on the first post it will explain what i have changed. I'm sorry if the character sheet was a little unclear about some things, if you think there is anything i should change, please tell me.
(If you don't feel like reading the first post this is everything you need to change: Everyone will be starting out as lvl 0. Everyone starts out with 0 initiative unless you really want -1. Your hp should be your strength + 2x your constitution. Your armor class can only be 0(none), 1(light), 2(medium), or 3(heavy) for now, and your speed is based off your armor None-40ft, Light-35ft, Medium-30ft, Heavy-25ft. The spells we are using are not from d&d, they are user made, they are on the mechanics page and sorry if they are not all finished yet, i will tell you when they are. Also you start out with 2 spells, and if you could take off the +Str on your Short sword. Finally I am not quite sure if your lute is magical or not but, we are not starting with magic items.)
Well, just looking at D&D there is no zero, enemies don't even start at zero so I assume zero level creatures and players have no attacks, and basic armor class stats, so I assumed that start at zero meant start at the beginning.
As for initiative, that stat is directly linked to your dexterity stat, (or agility) so the Dark elf's initiative would be 13, 14, or 15.
As for the 60 points in all I can do that, I'll edit it now.
No mods? That is odd, but cool, I'll take those away too.
As for speed: normally in D&D
Everyone has 30 unless ur a dwarf or a halfling, then you have 20, if you have heavy armor you also have 20. But I'll change my speed stat for this for ya!
Questions:
Why take the +Str away from my short sword, that's how you place D&D the stronger you are, the better your attack with bashing or slashing weapons is.
And all Bards start with a musical instrument of some kind with either healing or empowering magic! But since I have it I only gave myself one spell since I assumed you'd count it as such
So the way I am going to do this rp is a simple version of D&D for the people who don't actually play it so they can understand what they are doing and how to make their characters. Although you are correct on the strength bonus on damage, I am going to do it a different way in which you add half your strength to damage. And with the base speed I wanted to give the lighter armored characters a little more of an advantage with speed because they don't do as much damage. And I'm fine with you having the lute, it makes sense.
Anything with voice chat? Because I need help... And it'd be a lot easier through voice rather than typing and filing up the forum with unnecessary OOC
Can you tell me what is wrong.... Like... Exactly... Because I took info from an official d&d website to make my character... And I'm not trying to tell you how to do your RP, but how do you expect wizards to have staffs that aren't magic engraved?
This is not going to be exactly like D&D. Wizards won't need enchanted staffs, especially at level 0. Don't look at the D&D website, just look at my first post. If you have any questions after reading it ask me. But things you need to change are;
1. Remove the spell section.
2. Remove all items that are magical or more powerful than an average weapon. Wizards should just start with a wooden staff.
3. Battle Wizards are a mixture of classes so they are too weak in this RP
Just delete my character. I don't care if this isn't a exact replica of the original game of D&D. The point of Dungeons & Dragons is to express creativity and that is what I offered you. The spell section has nothing wrong with it. It is limited the way you wanted it, I just added the rest of the spells of which he'd be unlocking later on in the game. And Battle Wizard is an actual class... It's rare, but it's real. The fact you limit me and any other player is disgraceful as a DM. So I will kindly remove myself from this Role-Play in hopes that maybe you'll see the error of your ways and accept the creativity of a players mind and not limit them on what they can and cannot do... I am not starting off Over Powered... My character is very limited and a lot of the spells [including the staff] is spells of which he'd unlock later on in levels... And if you think a Wizards Staff is merely a walking stick, my friend you are saddly mistaken. If you don't know the lore of Dungeons & Dragons, Don't be a DM. Thank you, and have a nice day.
First of all, please do kindly leave. I am limiting the imagination for a purpose, and am not limiting it to a major degree. Removing multiclass characters helps players specialize in their fields. A wizard attacking a man with a sword will die, no matter what level or dungeon, I am trying to remove character deaths that would make new players unhappy or dissatisfied. Level 5 spells for a level 0 wizard is overpowered, everyone will work their way up, you don't have to show the spells we are going to get. And if i wanted to take away your creativity i would say you couldn't keep your backstory. Taking away items that i was going to potentially give characters in the future doesn't really remove creativity it makes it more realistic. The point of this rp was to start out with nothing but your wit and a simple weapon and work your way up to power.
Fair enough, I can understand that... And if you you aren't going to hole a grudge, I'd like to give it a try, and if I am dissatisfied still I'll just remove my character...
Hey Atto, you might want to consider re-assigning some of the points in your stats area. It seems a bit too balanced, but that's my opinion (^.^). If you are a mage, try taking some points out of speed, stealth, strength and charisma and put them into intelligence.
Personality Traits: Gruff, speaks with horrible grammar, tactical (but sucks at thinking about everything else)
Ideals: Lawful evil is redeemable, order is most important above all
Flaws: Does not negotiate with chaotic beings (good, neutral, or evil), does not know when to quit (will charge suicidally if no one stops him)
Backstory: Oscar was a member of a clan of dwarves who trained animals (thus, the lawfulness in taming wild animals), but a mysterious beast shrouded in darkness murdered his whole clan and all of the animals, pushing him from the path of Ranger to the path of Barbarian. He now hunts this thing down and aims to kill it. I don't care what planet he comes from - whatever suits the best best as DM.
