"That's a good question, Sonter. Those shots could have easily gone through your skull, Arcadia. My best guess, the hitmen hired another hitman, or hitmen, just to weaken you. Or, you were wanted alive so this elf could torture you." Bruce shrugged "or none of these."

Arcadia goes pale at the mention of him wanting her alive. "He might want me alive, but I'm more afraid of the idea that he does. If he wants me alive, then he wants my abilities and my magic. Either way, I either die with an arrow in my head or I die by Victus exhausting me to the point of death."

Bruce gives a thumbs up "or we kill him, that's my go to option for power hungry psychopaths. Besides, you've two entire guilds at your back, it won't be easy for this guy to kill you. This time was an exception."

Arcadia wrings her hands together, seeming nervous, "It's not that I don't trust our guilds, but..." She looks away from Bruce, "I can't help but think it was someone in the guild who shot me. I'm not sure whether or not they're in Excidium or Dragon's Order, but both are mercenary guilds and there are highly trained individuals in both, so it's perfectly possible for it to have been one of the 'stragglers'."

Bruce was a bit concerned, now he wasn't the only one to suspect that it could've been Sonter. Not specifically, but still. Arcadia was right, the guild was full of mercenaries but would they really be willing to betray each other? "Whoever it is, we'll find them. That's a promise."

Bruce was a bit concerned, now he wasn't the only one to suspect that it could've been Sonter. Not specifically, but still. Arcadia was right, the guild was full of mercenaries but would they really be willing to betray each other? "Whoever it is, we'll find them. That's a promise."

Arcadia nods as she looks to Sonter, "I know that I have your protection," She looks to Bruce then, "And I know you'll find whoever did this," Arcadia frowns, "But I'm less worried about my safety and more for the implications of this and what could come of it. If it ends up being someone from Excidium, then the alliance might fall apart rather... spectacularly."

If it ends up being someone from Excidium, then the alliance might fall apart rather... spectacularly."

"And then war between the two guilds. Maybe that's what someone is aiming for. Attack someone like you, who's a healer and it doesn't bode well for business." Bruce chuckles a bit "a small spark and you can set off an explosion. In this case, it'll be a very big explosion."

"Maybe, maybe you were just convenient. I don't have all the answers." Bruce turned to Isaac "Arcadia was just saying how it could've been you that the shooter guy targeted. Feel proud."

"No not really, besides i'm really not that important of a target I mean yeah i'm a fighter I pose more of a threat but Arcadia can heal us which is far greater asset in fights, and has more practical uses." Isaac said to the group.

She shrugs a bit, "I can't say that's the same for me. In my culture, healers are also the leaders. They are typically eligible to lead the tribe or village once they finish their healers training, which is usually about twenty years, meaning that healing becomes their whole identity. Then they have to leave the realm on a pilgrimage, and once they complete it, they come back with their experience and then relieves the Elder that lead before them."

Before this, most healers would spend two years or more working as either a nurse, doctor, or field medic while the Fae had the war with the Elven. However, since that ended, many have taken up guild work - as I have - to fulfill their quota. Being a member of Dragon's Roar is my pilgramage," she thinks a bit for his next question, then shudders, "The training is hell, it's very physically, emotionally and mentally taxing. Regardless, it is one of the most effective training methods, but that doesn't make it more pleasant."

Whoever the people think is best replaces the Elder and takes their place on the Grand Council. So, someone else might be selected as leader."

"Well that all sounds pretty awesome, I haven't really done strict training like your talking about though i'd like to sometime though I think it would be fun even if was tough." Isaac said wondering if he knew anybody that had a really strict training schedule.

She raises her eyebrows a bit in interest, "I imagine combat training would be ever harder to learn. It would involve a lot of injuries."

"Yeah you're probably right, but I like a challenge and i'd be improving myself so it would be worth it." Isaac said adding "Injuries are just apart of getting better."

She shrugs, "Fair enough," She walks into the guild hall and sits down at one of the tables, "I hope you get a good teacher, though; you'll end up getting unnecessarily hurt if you don't find one."

"Yeah that's the big problem I don't know anybody that would train me." Isaac said with a sigh asking "You wouldn't happen to know any amazing combat trainers would you?" He asks half joking half seriously as he took a seat as well . @CelticSol

She thinks a moment, "Well, it wouldn't be far fetched for me to think the guild masters are skilled combatants, but I don't know if it would be appropriate to ask them that. Uh... The only other person I can think of is Sonter, and from what he's told me of his training, it was brutal."

"I really don't want to train with him if you haven't heard I battled him earlier to see if there was going to be an alliance between the guilds and I lost very, very badly though training with Isabel doesn't sound like a bad idea." Isaac said recalling the events in his head he could have died if it had been a real fight. @CelticSol

Arcadia smiles, "Then you should ask her. If she does say no, you can just ask another fighter in the guild to teach you. You have to be polite when you ask though, or they won't want to teach you."
