I'm waiting to give everyone who's still trying to join the group time to at least get to Gilfaryl. The segment with Slifer and Atlus won't take too long once they make it to the ruins in the mountains 10 miles north of the capitol city. It's going to be a short run of pilfering as much coin as Atlus' pockets can carry, and Slifer's going to overhear a conversation by the Cult which will give her the next clue she needs to continue her journey.


It's all going to inevitably return to Gilfaryl before anything further develops. So as long as you make it to Gilfaryl by the time we make it back, you should be alright.

Anyway, I think now's as good a time as any to push Slifer forward a bit.
 
@Kain do me a favor and be careful with how far you take things like that in the future. The set up that roboblu created with the revolutionists and the murder of their character's father was a special case for their character, and theirs alone. Next time, make sure that you ask me if it's alright to go off like that because the ones who were heading that event are part of the cult that Slifer has been chasing and they are not to be touched.


This goes for everyone else as well.


If you're unsure about whether your getting your character involved in an event that another character is involved in is going to interfere or cause trouble in some way, then ask me. As the GM, it's what I'm here for okay. Communication with me is key if you want to remain in sync with everyone else and you're uncertain if what you want to do isn't going to step on someone else's toes.

Though, I should say that Darius doesn't know if he killed some of them or not (since he ran away on impulse). He killed one, yes, but is rather unsure about the others. So they probably maintain a grudge against a "masked Royalist individual" and/or perhaps put bounties for him.

I've had a few RP's in the past where someone tried to set something up (though unlike roboblu it was without my knowledge until after the fact) and someone else stepped in and did something that sparked a big fight between the two and I ended up having to kick both from the RP.


I just don't want a repeat of history. That's all.

Alright, so im just a little confused.


Is the revolution a Storming of the Bastille, all frenchy and bloody, or is it just a public execution? Was it a declaration of war? Whats the current atmosphere of the town? Is everywhere else just completely normal?

At the moment, it was an isolated incident with a public execution and the ones responsible are slowly but surely spreading dissent and hatred throughout the populace and will continue to do so not only in the capitol city, but in every city throughout the nation of Gilfaryl. The current state of the capitol city where everyone is right now has calmed to a degree, but for how long remains to be seen. Slifer, Stanas, and Atlus are all fairly normal at the moment, though Atlus had a bit of a problem with the guards for a while.


As far as the other characters, some of them still seem to be reeling and others don't seem to have noticed at all, so I'm issuing a mandate for ALL characters at this point to sync things up.


Night has fallen and the city has calmed. This is the basis for everyone's next post as far as atmosphere in the capitol city. Thank you!


I will be taking charge of the events regarding the revolutionists from this point forward and will ensure to keep thing clear for you so that everyone is on the same page from now on regarding their activities and whereabouts. If anyone has any kind of event that they want to have their character involved in, then send me a message in a conversation and we'll discuss it further. Until then, keep things going and finish up whatever business your character has incurred for now.


As night has fallen it's only natural to find a place to put up for the night.

The inn would be a good spot, I think, though @Kain and I have to figure out a reason for our characters to stop by.
 
Hmm, yes.....


Maybe town guards could be at the city entrances so they can't escape quietly, and so, they will have to visit the buddy of Darius who works at the inn?
