Fantasy Dragon Song [Anime-style, Long-Term Adventure - Closed/FULL!]

  • Wx0qlM9.jpg
Character Name: Sir Ladon (Although, he would say his title as a knight was possibly revoked.)
Nickname(s): (when younger) Little Nightmare; (older) Lad, Don, or Laddie.
Alias: Sir Ladon of The Black Forest; Troll Slayer; and The Traitor.
    Age: 25
    Race: Dragonkin
    Height: 6'1"
    Weight: 215 lbs.
    Hair Color: Black
    Eye Color: Amber
    Complexion: Pale-white

    Dragon Type: Nightmare Dragon
General Description: Ladon does not have too many unusual features. Most beings compliment his honey-hued eyes and think nothing of them but a type of hazel. Ladon’s features are recessive, and his draconic features can be drawn out in his dragon arts. His hair is short, black and feathery; and his skin a white brighter than milk. His body is lean and muscular. His every muscle is accustomed to fighting, bearing the weight of his knight’s armor. In a platoon of knights and soldiers, Ladon doesn’t stand out. He wears the same armor so that none could discern him from the rest of the group. The armor he wears is a steel-gray with a black cloak that hangs from his shoulder pauldrons like a cape. His body has some scarring from old combat injuries.

Dragon Arm: Rigor Mortis - A black crossbow with four limbs that spread into a horizontal "X" shape when firing up to four bolts. The cables are the same color, and the bolts are produced by Ladon. The bolts are capable of planting fear into the core of those they hit. Like an infection, the fear will continue to grow causing the victim to lose their grasp of reality as their own mind begins descending into hysterical madness. Only a being with an indomitable will can resist the fear, but like holding one’s breath, the indomitable one will have to breathe some time. The crossbow is large with a length of four-feet, and he can fire arrows up to 457 m. Ladon can use normal bolts with his Dragon Arm to inflict damage for the black arrows do not inflict physical damage on the enemy.

    Talents
    • Swordsman - Ladon has been trained as a knight and has combat experience wielding a long sword, but no other kind of sword.
    • Marksmanship - Ladon can hit a 457 m mark with his bolts. He has such a keen eye that he can shoot the wings off a butterfly and silently take out sentry units from afar.
    • Whittling - Ladon can create bolts, arrows, wooden jewelry, coins, animals, and other statues from wood. It was a hobby he got into when his unit would post in a location for a lengthy period.
    • Equestrian - Not exactly a horse. Ladon rides a drake named Owan. The dragon is quadrupedal and moves just as swift as a horse. Owan can climb hills, mountains, and vertical surfaces like a lizard using his sharp claws. This allows Ladon to find a good sniper position. Ladon encountered Owan after he fled the Carolinian kingdom.

Fighting Style: Having been trained as a knight, Ladon knows his way around a long sword and shield. He implements both techniques in close-quarters combat and will even switch to ranged combat mid-battle. Ladon can fire multiple bolts simultaneously, rain bolts on his enemies, and charge a bolt for a devastating fear attack. Ladon exploits the fear in his enemies, coaxing the emotion until his enemies are weakened by it. He fills their minds with illusions and takes advantage of their inability to discern reality from the assumptions and fears they create in their own minds. Ladon often fights in his human guise and rarely utilizes Dragon Art 4. He likes a challenge and will only switch to Art 4 if pressured to by an enemy.

    Dragon Arts:
    • Dragon Art #1: Deception: Ladon can impersonate the appearance and voice of those who he has struck with his black bolts. No matter what creature, he can shape-shift into it, and assume their form until discovered. Once it becomes apparent to the minds of those around him that he isn’t what he appears, his disguise automatically falls against his will.
    • Dragon Art #2: Seeds of Fear: Ladon can create black spheres of fear that he can manipulate. He will often stretch the seeds into bolts and fire them at enemies, implanting them to sprout and grow within one’s soul. For beings with low will or who are afflicted with drugs, disease, or sleeplessness, the seeds are very effective. For one with a strong fortitude, the fear affects can be slowed and even overcome by the strong-willed’s determination.
    • Dragon Art #3: Dream Eater: Ladon can plant a Seed of Fear within the head of a sleeping victim. The seed will feed off of the victim’s dreams, sprouting into a nightmare that even after the host awakens, they have a difficult time discerning reality from illusion. They become trapped in a nightmare, and the madness will lead them to their death either by accident or suicide. Ladon will collect the black fruit left behind and consume it to add to his strength. Only strong-willed or those who become aware of the illusions can overcome their afflictions.
    • Dragon Art #4: Nightmare Dragon: Ladon can impale himself with a fear seed and awaken his dragonkin traits. Before this technique, Ladon’s physical prowess is that of an ordinary human. After Dragon Art 4, Ladon reveals two curved horns that protrude from the side of his head, reptilian yellow eyes, jagged teeth, and rigid scales outlining the muscles of his torso and running down the spine of his back. If an enemy had a difficult time fighting him as a human, they would have an even greater difficult time fighting him as a dragonkin. Eventually, Dragon Art 4 will evolve into his true dragon transformation

Background: Sir Rodrick the Strong served under the Human Kingdom of Caroline. In a conquest against a clan of trolls—who were secretly Visitor hosts—Rodrick and his unit were sleeping when he awoke in a start from a nightmare. Rodrick had dreamt of seeing a terrifying dragon, and his psychology was never the same since. The other knights noticed a change in Rodrick’s behavior. He would not only kill trolls, but he would happily mutilate their bodies. He would howl in excitement as he charged them, slaying trolls until they started to fear him. His own unit started fearing him, reporting to their superiors that Sir Rodrick was unhinged, but the command only rewarded Sir Rodrick for his feats. Over time, the knights started to notice a change in the shape of Rodrick’s head. His skull was growing, and his hair was receding. He became known as Sir Rodrick the Egghead among the soldiers. Sir Rodrick’s friend, Sir Ligart the Dragonheart, became concerned for him but Sir Rodrick’s mind was so gone that he could only wish for him to fall in battle. Ligart got his wish.

Sir Rodrick was stabbing the corpse of a troll when he felt a severe pain in his skull. Sir Ligart watched Rodrick fall to his knees grasping his head before it split before his eyes, revealing a steaming black egg. The Dragonheart was disturbed by the scene, but he recognized the black object to be an egg. He took the egg and hid it away within a sack. Sir Ligart reported that Sir Rodrick had fallen in battle, his head divided in two by an ax. The knight returned to his home after the war. He left the egg within the care of his maid, telling her it was a drake egg. One evening, Ligart returned to his home from a night of drinking in the town and encountered his maid fleeing the property exclaiming that there was a monster. Drawing his sword, Ligart stormed his home and found a naked boy with thick, black hair, chewing on a mouse. Ligart found the cracked shell of the egg and was stunned to learn that the child may have come from it.

The boy was wild, vicious, and a pain in Ligart’s side. Ligart, having never had any children of his own, had to learn how to take care of the child. He kept the boy on a leash to keep him from running away, and allowed him to keep eating mice for it kept the pest problem down. He would spank the boy’s bottom red when he would make a mess of his place and fight him when he tried to put clothes on him. When his unit started preparations to deploy to another troll-infected territory, Ligart left the boy in the care of a new maid. When Ligart mounted his steed to leave, the unexpected happened. The boy had followed after him and appeared concerned. It had been the first time that the boy had actually shown love for Ligart and seemed to fear him leaving. Ligart dismounted and patted the boy on the head, telling him he would return. The knight left and was absent for months.

The boy who the maid named Ladon waited for Ligart’s return every day. The maid, Rosalie, who had only shown him kindness even through his rebellious fits was able to teach Ladon common tongue. By the time Ligart returned from battle, the knight hadn’t recognized him. Rosalie had cut Ladon’s hair, bought him nice clothes, and the boy was talking! Ladon helped with the hunting, cooking, farming, and cleaning. He was no longer the wild creature Ligart last remembered. Ligart gifted Ladon a wooden sword (a sword he has to this day) and taught the boy how to use it. When Ladon became older, Ligart had him squire for him. As a squire, Ladon learned more about how vast the world was outside the house he had grown up in.

Ladon excelled as a squire and eventually joined Ligart as a knight. His first battle was in The Black Forest. During this battle, Ladon learned about his inhumanity when he started to sense The Visitors that lived inside the trolls. Sensing The Visitors awakened a power in him that he didn’t know he had and allowed him to draw forth his dragon arm. Ladon was able to help the Carolinian knights to take back The Black Forest but that wasn’t the end of The Visitors. Surviving knights recovered from their injuries, but their minds were long lost to The Visitors. The spreading of the parasite seemed to continue as the days went on. Ladon detected the infestation, but he was alone on his suspicions. None of the humans suspected anything was wrong. Ladon sought out Ligart to warn him and was horrified to discover that Ligart was no longer Ligart. Under the cover of darkness, Ladon fled the kingdom and was dubbed a defector. He became known as a traitor, and his poster spread throughout the land. The Visitors had never wounded Ladon until they had taken his father-figure from him. In a vengeful fury, Ladon swore to rid the world of them, and unfortunately, did not believe he had the strength to free Ligart. Ironically, it was his worst nightmare.

    Character Name: Milia Esther Valktuna
    Nickname(s): Millie
Alias: Bringer of Dawn, or Radiant Dawn
    Age: "How Rude." 26
    Race: Dragonkin
    Height: 164cm || 5'4"
    Weight: 56 Kg || ~125lbs
    Hair Color: Green
    Eye Color: Green
Complexion: Fair, leaning closer to pale

    Dragon Type: Solar Dragon
"Also called a 'Divine Dragon' of sorts, as my kind were said to have driven out Darkness..."
General Description: Standing shorter than most, Milia is rather unassuming all things considered, her smaller frame and oft kind demeanour tends to lead on that she can do little harm. With long green hair and green eyes to match, one would presume on a quick glance that she is a wood elf of some sort, especially with her pointed ears. Hidden along her hair, a set of softer horns dance along the strands, starting just above her temple, and dancing back with her hair are a set of white scaled parts which end with a teal webbing resembling wings, while she doesn't intentionally hide them, oft the horn-like appendages are pulled in with her hair. Moving along, Milia is often seen wearing her red tunic, which exposes much of her body to the light of the sun, covering the white scales which are often seen lining her sides, which meet over her collarbone, while in the light, the scales shimmer and almost glow in an array of colours, the same is said in her draconic shape, seen along her hands and forearms are the same scales, paired with a set of claws at the tips of her fingers.

Her outfit is a red tunic, ebroidered patterns run along the hems of the outfit, though stop at the sides, where the tunic appears to be held together with eight leather straps on each side, crossing over each other in four X shapes. Resting along her shoulders is a pink half-cloak with a tall collar. The same pink is seen in a sash that crosses over her hips, before being tied into a large bow over her left hip. Over her legs, a pair of pink tights connected to a garter belt underscore her red thigh-high boots, over her hands, are a pair of gloves, also dyed red to prevent her claws from damaging the locals.

Dragon Arm: Creiddylad - A bow whose string is made from the same light as the first dawn. It appears to be an asymmetrical reflex bow that is unstrung when not in use. It's a white bow with engravings of gold. However, it lacks any notches to allow for the bow to be strung. As, the bow siphons from the magic of it's user, Milia, stringing itself with at will with a simple golden light from end to end, and when drawn, creates a single bolt of light, which fires true towards the aimed direction, unfazed by the winds or even gravity, it becomes a singular beam of light which dissipates when upon contact.

    Talents
    • Wisdom and Grace - Wise beyond her years, Milia possesses an uncanny amount of knowledge on most topics, and the maturity to think reasonably under times of hardship. Perceptive and insightful, she's able to see the bigger picture in most situations when presented with little, when paired with the tact and wordplay she possesses, Milia can effectively strategize and communicate on the fly.
    • Archery Talent - With her bow being her main weapon, Milia is keen to how to fly not only her arrows of light, but normal arrows as well, hitting targets that most would struggle to strike down with a single arrow.
    • Ink and Paint - A Hobby she's adored, Milia is quite good at making drawings and paintings. It was something she found herself constantly doing in her peaceful times, as it oft helped her relax both mentally and physically.
    • Historical Evidence suggests... - Milia has an Eidetic memory, she's able to remember most things after simply looking at it once, through remembering the visual of the information, that image often retains in her mind for a long time, and can be recalled with ease, in her own words "Like turning the pages of a book."
    • Today's events call for a nap... - This woman can sleep For Days at a time if she so wanted, or is not roused before she gets that chance.

Fighting Style: Milia's fighting style varies on one thing, proximity. Wielding a bow, if an enemy is away from her, she holds advantage, flying arrows with precision, striking down those who seek to harm her companions. However, if an enemy is too close for comfort for Millia, she will attempt to kite the enemy, simply put, she'll retreat from the threat, and attempt to loose a few arrows into them if possible.

    Dragon Arts:
    • Radiant Dawn: When in the Light, Milia becomes stronger, this effect is greatly impacted by the Sun's influence. Her strongest point is at the Sun's Zenith, where she becomes one of the strongest dragons recorded, while at night, Milia's abilities falter, and she becomes one of the weaker dragons, while she is not powerless, she cannot reach her normal output very well if at all. Moreover, Milia's weakest time, is during the Solar Eclipse, wherein Milia loses most of what makes her a dragon, while physical traits remain, her strength, stamina, and speed are sapped to that of a normal human of her stature. Magically speaking, she cannot use any of her abilities during the eclipse.
    • Radiant Breath: Milia's breath attack is a singular beam of golden light, known as "Sacrament" from the devout followers of the Solar Dragons. This light's range varies, but overall tends to dissipate at around 30m (~100 ft.) with a radius ranging between 150cm to 3m respectively (~5-10 ft.) as the magic holding this beam together begins to fray apart.
    • Burning Radiance: Absorbing the light from the sun, Milia can weaponize said solar energy and unleash it in a pulse of light around her. After using this Art, Milia appears to have light-based flames over parts of her body.
    • Radiant Sanction: Using her light, Milia can erect a simple shielding force to protect either herself, another person, or an area from harm.

Background: Long ago, there were a people who once worshiped the Sun, along with any Sun Gods, and especially the Solar Dragons. In their texts, legends speak of a temple built to said dragons, acting as a place for the people to leave offerings for the Dragons. However, as great of a cathedral it could have been, it had been lost to time. That, is where our story begins, as the last of the Solar Dragons began to fade from this Earth, the last of her followers were given a task, stash and protect an egg, housing the last of it's kind. Time had passed, along with the mortals whom stood to protect their one last link to their beliefs. The temple soon began to fall to ruin, with this sole egg hidden where few expected it, a golden egg, placed within a golden orb symbolizing the sun itself.

Yet, one one fateful day, a crack appeared, then another, a dragon was to hatch from a bygone era. A noteworthy cause, had anyone been around to see it. In silence, the shell of what was once an egg crumbled and fell apart, revealing a small figure, whose appearance resembled more of an Elf's rather than that of a dragon. As a set of emerald hues gazed upon the light of the world, there was naught but the silence of what was an abandoned temple.

Said silence was shattered, by the sounds of footsteps, those of a set of adventurers, and surveyors. Exploring what was thought to be a temple of myth, hoping to find treasure beyond their wildest dreams, only to find a history of the temple, a few gold ornaments, some rocks, and a wyrmling of sorts. Distrustful at first, the adventuring party kept their distance from the newborn dragon, who only could watch helplessly, until a set of hands began to gently raise the small form, gently laughing with the infant.

This woman, whose ears formed the same shape as the newborn dragon's, began to tend to the child, doting over her as a mother would. Taking the child in, the woman known as Noémie began a peaceful life in a small elven village, raising a dragon-child. At first, it was hard to Noémie, raising the child named Milia, as, how does one raise a dragon which few if any have any knowledge of? Let alone what antics Milia could cause with her blood. With time, though, it became much easier for the overwhelmed Noémie, whose teachings were absorbed by the young Millie. Noémie knew that Milia would likely face the dangers of what The Invaders, as she'd call them, would attempt with a Dragon. This danger was always known, and Noémie would go to war to protect the child she had adopted. The child would have to learn to fight at some point, whether she wanted to or not.

Having been raised to battle alongside her sisters in her order, Noémie began to train the young Milia at simple combative measures, mostly relying on self defense in close quarters. Which ended in failure, as Noémie could see that the young Milia was too kind, too gentle, and too scared. A deep seated fear it would seem, likely from the knowledge that the older woman had given the poor child. The dragons were gone, Milia likely was one of the last ones, if not the last dragon in Dragon Song. It crippled Milia's mind, as she nary understood what was happening, let alone gain the knowledge of what she was. To distract from this fear, though, Milia found herself do draw what she could see, painting something, doing something of that sort to get her mind off the fear that welled up in her chest. Noémie's teachings slowly drifted from combat, realizing that at that time, Milia didn't need to protect herself, as, that's what her parent is for, whether adopted or not.

As the seasons passed quietly, Milia began to grow older, wiser, and even smarter than her mother. That's when Noémie had the idea, and began to take her beloved daughter to the place she was born. At first, Milia knew not what to think of the place, let alone the knowledge of the Solar Dragons, yet, as time passed, said temple became her groundwork, a telling of what she is, a guardian against the evils that plague Dragon Song from the darkness, at that time, Milia began to learn how to fight, as her mind was set on what she must do, now taking up the knowledge Noémie had, how to read people, how to look at more than what was just straight ahead of her, the bigger picture that lingers past her vision, and how to do that while under pressure, and finally, the fighting style her mother was known best for, archery. As time passed, her vision of the bigger picture began to worry Milia, as people were sacrificed to the Visitors. Feeling the need to do something, Milia set out from her village, quietly in the night, taking up only a bow and some simple supplies, to do one thing...

Protect everyone from the evil that came from the darkest ranges of the sky....

  • Lansane 1.jpg Artist: LansaneCharacter Name: Maria Solaster
    Nickname(s): N/A
Alias: Disciple of the Draconic Temple
    Age: 36
    Race: Human
    Height: 5'11"
    Weight: 160 lbs
    Hair Color: Blonde
    Eye Color: Red
    Complexion: Caucasian

General Description: Maria dons the traditional garb of the Draconic Temple, a religious sect -- or perhaps cult -- that worships the dragons of old, and their creators. There are different color combinations within the sect, her red and black attire designate her as a combatant; specifically a military chaplain. Although, in her home kingdom of Cerylan, the Draconic Temple is no longer recognized as an authority in the government, and thus has been retired from service since then.

    Weapon: Flanged Mace, Throwing Knives

    Talents
    • Dragon Lore - As a follower of the Draconic Temple, Maria is well versed in records related to the history of dragons.
    • Viola - Maria can play the viola or a similar instrument.
    • Pain Tolerance - Maria hardly feels a thing.
    • Interrogator - Maria has picked up a knack for being able to tell when someone is lying.

Fighting Style: Maria has both formal martial training and experience on the battlefield. When possible, she has a tendency to turn her fights into a game of sorts -- especially one of cat and mouse. In that sense, she rarely ever fights seriously. When faced with a stronger foe she is more likely to run, or hide and wait for a more opportune time to strike.

    Spells:
    • Fire Breath - A small cone of flame that aims to emulate the legendary dragon breath attack, though it is significantly less potent.
    • Warding Sign - A medium-sized protective sigil manifests in the air for a short duration, deflecting weaker attacks.
    • Heal - A simple healing spell that accelerates the natural regeneration of a wound.
    • Mercy - A touch spell that allows one to decrease - or increase - the amount of pain someone is experiencing. The spell can be imbued into weapons as well.

Background: Growing up, Maria's childhood was rife with conflict from the moment she was born. The blood of her mother marred her newborn skin as invading enemy soldiers slaughtered their way through the once homely village by the river. The child was taken back and accepted by followers of the Draconic Temple, where she would be raised and cared for as a future disciple. At first she seemed mostly normal, if a little asocial compared to the others. But as time went on, it became clear that visions of that fateful evening still haunted her -- the sound of dying screams, and the unfamiliar faces of the people who took her away from her family -- none of it meant anything to her but the vivid memory remained, imprinted into her mind, and every night she would dream of it.

She often vented by taking out her complicated feelings on property. But the damage was not reprimanded; it was rewarded. Her confused anger was seen as potential as an arm of the Temple, and the steady stream of ideas they fed to her during her years gave her a direction to point that anger. The Draconic Temple proclaimed that repenting for their past sin and invoking the spirit of the dragon will lead their world to salvation -- conversely, ignoring the word and 'inviting' the Visitors by practicing sinful acts would lead them to ruin.

And non-belivers, of course, ought to be executed -- lest they bring upon the apocalypse. In Cerylan, their relationship with the kingdom had always been a fickle one. In a way, their prophecy of the dragons' return had come true, allowing it to garner favor in the eyes of the public. Not only that, but the disciples they amassed were dangerous, making them valuable additional forces in times of conflict. But they had grown too powerful for their own good, and they began to meddle in affairs that were not their own, forcing their partnership to be severed after repeatedly abusing their authority. They still remained within the kingdom, with less influence than before, but their missions continue unimpeded.

Now, one of those missions entail convening with the Dragonkin, offering their services to them as aides in the fight to push back the Visitors. And so, Maria's departure began, seeking to form a new partnership they surely wouldn't break apart...

I am still reviewing the submitted Cses. I haven't had time today to really just sit down and finish. This was just an update to explain my silence.

Again, explaining my whereabouts. We have a four day weekend and so I had a crazy week of course. Right before a break. I will look at these CSes when I get a break tomorrow (when I start the weekend). Tomorrow also is when I am closing recruitment on this game.

Quick question: If by chance my cs is declined, would I get the chance to make a backup by chance~?

Mineczka Mineczka

Since you chose the same weapon type as my character, I'm going to change his weapon type so that there isn't a duplicate specialization.

Radiant Dawn: What is stronger and what is weakest? Is stronger like stronger than other Dragonkin due to the solar advantage? And her weakness, human weakness? Useless doesn't explain anything. Human weakness may not be useless so unless you mean weaker than humans.

Radiant Breath: What is the beam's area if it is supposed to strike "all within the beam's area."

Radiant Sight and Radiant Oblivion: Nope. Overpowered. Not accepting them no matter how you try to edit them. These will not be accepted at all.

As far as her Dragon Arm, there is no "mana pool." This isn't a video game. Her stamina would just be sapped if you want to do that. What is this "Light" that flies towards "darkness?" It can only attack shadows? It won't hit what she's aiming at unless that character is in the shade? If you're trying to go with the "My arrows detect evil." It won't work here lol. This isn't some magical girl RP.

GummyWorm GummyWorm Okay, so I like the fact that she is a dragon priestess/nun. What I am not understanding is her back story. It seems very thrown together at the last minute. Why were Soldiers slaughtering her family, invading her country, etc. Why is the Draconic Temple extremists murdering nonbelievers? Why would she expect the Dragonkin to support such a group of lunatics? I said I like where the concept is going because your character being the one to go around and encounter the Dragonkin through her journey is a good starter. But I need her back story just cleaned up so it makes more sense.

Because your character has magic abilities and martial abilities, I need you to explain more about this temple. You don't even explain where she received this training. You're just presenting this character with all of these abilities as though I'm supposed to just ignorantly accept it. A part of the acceptance process is me reviewing how well a writer writes their character's concept. If you explain all of the loopholes to the point there is very few (the ones you leave open intentionally), then that is a good concept.

Heterological Heterological vs. DVationz DVationz , Heterological Heterological 's concept wins. It better fits the story and isn't so over-the-top. He is approved and is now the last male Dragonkin slot. Now Heterological Heterological I need you to explain your Dragon Arm. How does activating the weapon make your character more powerful? What happens? It is very vague to just say, "I become stronger when my weapon is activated" and don't explain how. What affect does your Dragon Arm have on your character?

Magic never gets explained anywhere in the intro post and I didn't want to dive deep into a tangent about the political warfare of multiple kingdoms I just made up if I wasn't sure it was going to gel with the lore; I figured it'd be more efficient to wait for you to review it so I can make the appropriate changes but you're kinda just coming off as condescending here

I don't mind sticking around if you also don't mind being more chill but atm I can't really say I'm excited to RP with someone who's gonna freely talk down to me

GummyWorm GummyWorm If that is how you're perceiving that, then we probably just aren't compatible. You should just move along.

As for everyone else, I am going to allow you to decide whether or not you want to keep your concepts or change them one more time. I know some people may have gotten new ideas or may want to expand. I do not mind allowing you guys a chance to do this.

I've gotta inquire how combat heavy this RP is going to be before I figure out if I wanna change something

Darkling0096 Darkling0096 I would say like maybe...if this was an actual anime, swords that cleave through boulders, tree stumps, and if a Dragon Arm weapon, through futuristic power armor (Visitors). Being able to fight briefly in mid-air without having flight powers. Briefly being maybe to complete one combo before they drop. Deflecting lasers with a Dragon Arm-level weapon. Strong enough to dent power armor with a good, supernatural punch. The Visitors use futuristic technology that harnesses magic like magitech. The characters start out not as strong because they are still discovering their powers and like muscles, as they use their powers, they grow stronger. Thus the difference between their innate abilities, and the magic, which is artificial and created by magic users in this world. Their innate abilities can naturally evolve and grow stronger, while magic cannot. You just have to know a stronger magic spell.

So expect...maybe a mecha here and there. Mechas would be equivalent to a tank or a giant in a military meant to just destroy everything. You have a demi-god-like dragonkin going up against a futuristic army.
