Three Thousand Club
Brushing off the Saiyans proved a bit more trying than she'd given them credit for. She had to admit that they were tougher than she expected. The one who oddly caught her off guard for a moment was the one who raced in before to rescue the first fool who attacked her. She came up close, almost too close for comfort and activated an attack she called "Avalanche Strike."
It took an instant to process what was happening, but as the attack built up strength and exploded outward from the Saiyan she simply took the hit.
She was blown back, but her feet remained firmly planted on the ground as she skidded across the battlefield. Finally she came to a stop, her hardened skin glistening like metal in the light of day above. She was bent forward slightly, but straightened herself and used one hand to brush a bit of dust off of her shoulder.
"I'm impressed. You're the first to actually hit me with something. Your friends... Well. They're less than adequate thus far." She taunted.
From the hilltop the plant-like humanoid observed the fight as it progressed and took note that Korvaiis was slowly flying over to her and away from the main battle which was raging behind him.
He landed in front of her, and the two glared each other down.
"What do you want?" She demanded.
"Your comrade could have killed him... Why didn't she?" He demanded in return.
"She wants to drag the battle out. Killing him so quickly would not only be child's play, but it would end her fun."
Korvaiis' eyes narrowed.
"So you say." He said calmly.
"You should focus on the battle." She growled.
"I will focus on the most immediate threat at hand... And that is you."
One of her eye ridges rose, as she didn't have eyebrows.
"You spoke first, and your friend followed your lead. That tells me that between the two of you, you give the orders."
She smirked.
"Furthermore, I took a gamble and relayed our true purpose to you openly. Despite that you chose to engage us in battle rather than immediately try to kill us as any other servant of Inecros would. Your friend holding back is proof enough of that. So what is it you are truly after?"
She closed her eyes.
"I will say this once, Saiyan: Give up trying to understand us. You never will. Nobody will. For us, serving Inecros is all we have left. Your intentions change nothing. My partner will kill your comrades in due time, so perhaps you should return to their side. You are the most powerful among them by a decent margin. They'll need you."
He smiled.
"I doubt that."
"You seem to carry a lot of faith in whatever you think you have figured out about us. Forget it. Whatever you think you know is off the mark."
"We'll see about that."
He turned and flew back towards the battle as the others continued engaging the insectoid.
