Question regarding in-game "chain of command" and some titles.

Is the Hero of Ferelden the Warden-Commander of Ferelden, or were veterans of the Order sent over from elsewhere to take control?

If the Hero of Ferelden is the Warden-Commander, and Lothar is 25 years into his career with experience on all sides of the Order, is it reasonable to say he's the second-in-command, or is there someone else in/out of the party holding that position? Formally, Constable of the Grey.

I ask chiefly because Lothar has a respect for such things and particularly length of time within the Order. Frankly, it might not hurt for us to briefly discuss here inter-character relationships.

Ohh, good questions..

Seri likely falls outside actual command despite her experience simply due to her madness. So her listening to others and being listened to are likely very seldom.

in terms of rank structure.. from my perspective at least it would go something like this.

Aedan, Lothar, Cassia and finally Seri (since she's a bit of a loony)...

Aedan is Warden-Commander. Since Lothar is the most experienced, I would say he would be the second-in-command by default. And I do agree with ya. Let's get to discussing!

yeet and with that.. i'm off for the evening.. I'll have alot more spare time during the week-end to write up here.. (only friday to go!) :D

Good-night folks <3

As far as Lothar's perspective -

Aedan: Respects his will to do good, his service in the battle of Denerim and the Fifth Blight. Considers him capable of doing more great things, but doesn't consider him wildly fit for leadership given his sarcastic bent and desire to do the most good.

Sigis: The Legion of the Dead is fine - assassins are not.

Seri: Technically a "blood mage" himself by way of being a Reaver, Lothar still has a healthy suspicion of proper blood mages and especially crazy ones. Intends to keep her at arm's distance and within hammer range.

Cassia: Suspicious of Tevinter mages, but willing to respect that she took the oath and seems competent. Prepared to offer mentorship, but only if its requested.

If anyone wants to get into whether or not our characters have known each other previously (excepting Aedan, as I assume we're running on 2-3 years of working together), hit me up.

Woah there cow-boy, what gave Lothar the impression that Sigis is an assassin? ;)

(not criticising you, just wanting to know your thoughts) :D

I can see Aedan being wary of a lot of the party. Being a Fereldan, he of course doesn't have too much trust for Orlesians (though it's more of an inborn thing that an actual hatred for them,) and he doesn't trust blood mages. Speaking of which, he doesn't trust Seri. He saw what blood mages could do, and they caused the Blight. He doesn't really have any impressions on Sigis, seeing as they just met, but they might get along. He would definitely respect Cassia for her dedication to the Wardens, seeing as that's pretty much all he believes in now.

Sounds cozy xD

"I think you're all fucking mad for even going near the Deep Roads." <3

"Damn, why can't we be Dwarves from a different fantasy setting!?.. then we might have the explosives to do it!"

*Sigis Reeeeee's with enough force to make his own head explode*

*Sigis' head-less corpse moon-walks out of the tunnels and leaves the lands, never to be seen again.*

anyway, I need sleep.. so yeet <3

"Me an my friend Alistair were walking through the Deep Roads, and this ogre came out of nowhere and crushed him!" Alistair in the distance: "Will you stop telling people I'm dead?! Please?"

Bye!
