Toma looked at her in surprise. "You really haven't been outside for a long time, have you."

"I woke up to watching the pieces of myself be buried and then got kicked out of the graveyard by a priest. I haven't left the library in a century."

 

[BuddhistDracula]

Toma looked out of the window and saw a car parked in the castle yard. "He means that thing..."

 

[Darkling0096]

"Oh, you mean the horseless carriages!", understanding dawned on Wyn, "Still, that's a long trip.

 

[BuddhistDracula]

"Yes, exactly that. And yeah, it's still a long trip," Dracula agreed. "Just not halfway as long as on a horse."

 

[Darkling0096]

"Hmm. That's well past my time, even if I did know how it worked, I wouldn't be able to ride in it," Wyn shrugged

 

[BuddhistDracula]

"Why not?" Toma asked her.

 

[Darkling0096]

"I'm not physical, I'd fall through it. It would be more of me keeping up with the car and e sitting in the car."

 

[BuddhistDracula]

"Why are some ghosts more physical than others?" Toma asked her. "Daniel can ride it just fine..."

 

[Darkling0096]

"My guess is he's figured out how to attach himself. I've never needed to, so I never picked it up," Wyn shrugged, "Why load the catapult when there's nothing to shoot it at?"

 

[BuddhistDracula]

"Because it can be pretty useful," Franklin pointed out.

 

[Darkling0096]

"Well, it wasn't useful to me. By the time these horseless carriages started showing up around here, I'd already been settled here for almost half a century. Unless, God forbid, something destroys the library, I've got no reason to be anywhere else." Wyn didn't sound too concerned.

 

[BuddhistDracula]

"Oh, no. I don't mean the cars," Franklin clarified. "I mean being able to pick up things and sit on them and such... It's useful to be able to stand on the ground without falling through..."

 

[Darkling0096]

"Well, I don't really touch the ground to begin with, and ghosts have telekinesis, I don't really touch anything," Wyn replied.

 

[BuddhistDracula]

"I know, I am a ghost..." Franklin reminded her.

 

[Darkling0096]

"Then you should understand. I'm an academic spirit. I study and maintain the library. I don't have a reason to do anything else or go somewhere."

 

[BuddhistDracula]

Toma chuckled a little. "Sounds like my kind of spirit."

 

[Darkling0096]

"I apreciate the compliment, but still. The point is, when I died, these weren't skills I needed, and to this day they are not skills I need. This conversation is distracting us from the current problem," Wyn looked back at Dracula, "If Mehmed is still alive, why do you think he would contact you after all these years?"

 

[BuddhistDracula]

"Probably because he wants to threaten me," Dracula replied.

"Was he any threat when you last fought?"

 

[BuddhistDracula]

Dracula nod. "Yes."

 

[Darkling0096]

"Do you think he'd still be a threat today?"

 

[BuddhistDracula]

"I don't know..." Dracula answered. "Possibly."

"Then you need to prepare for his visit," Wyn replied, "Do you have any favors you can call in without drawing attention?"

 

[BuddhistDracula]

"What do you mean?" Dracula asked her.
