Montreal passed a law regarding dogs identified as a pitbull, banning them unless they are registered and certificated owned by their owners. However when they are out they must be leashed and muzzled. The vote was out of fear than science. I'm beyond upset and angry about this. 


If theres any strays or any in shelters they must be euthanized. EXCUSE ME?!

Is this for real? :/  People make dogs that way, the dogs aren't inclined to be that aggressive naturally...

That sucks, tremendously =( I love pitbulls. Every dog I've owned has been pitbull, in whole or in part. =/ They really are a loveable breed.

The problem lies with dumb or abusive people who want an 'attack dog' and make them aggressive.


Tbh instead of killing a bunch of dogs I think there needs to be a licencing system to own pets. Like driving you should be able to prove that you are responsible and know what you're doing. Psych eval would be nice too. People with a record of abuse should be banned from owning animals that could become a danger to the public (or any animal for that matter).

I couldn't agree more, Silver. This would resolve most of the cases of animal abuse everywhere.
