Character sheets completed. Both sheets had some weird code issues, I fixed all of Stitch's but the Doc's page is still weird with the tabs. I suspect voodoo magics are to blame. The bios should be easy enough to read and navigate.

I'd like us not to have ten or more pages before more folks join up. xD We don't want to intimidate prospective players. I mean, I think it'd be best to wait for more people before kicking off a major story arc, so perhaps these first few posts should just be used as an opportunity to introduce our characters and show what their new lives are like.


 
Also, on a side note, I wish I could just listen to a continuous loop of Stitch's evil cackle. It's so pleasing to the ear for some reason.

  Stitch is reckless and chaotic, and his most primal desire is essentially to light the world on fire and dance in the flames. He finds fulfillment and entertainment in mischief and mayhem, but he is clever and resourceful enough to avoid getting caught...most of the time. Stetler doesn't do what he does for the sake of rebellion, he just likes the thrill of the chase and the rush of adrenaline. Though he seems like a shallow delinquent on the outside, he is loving and close to those he trusts, and loyal to his Oha- err, I mean, Family like no other. When sad, he keeps mostly to himself and sulks for the rest of the day.   Stetler was a test-tube baby, but his genetic father was imprisoned and couldn't claim custody, and his mother couldn't support a child. So Stetler wound up cycling through the foster system, taking to the streets anytime he could to get away from the fruitless search for a family. His days on the streets led him down a dangerous path, but before it went too far he was taken in by an accepting, caring Hawaiian family that showed him there were ways he could apply his gifts in positive ways. He is good at manipulating others to get what he wants, and he feels no remorse for doing so, often playing on people's inner desires and fears to persuade them into furthering his own goals.   Alistar Facilier was born into poverty in the slum outskirts of a city, and his family had nothing but their house, the clothes on their backs, and a few meager possessions. One night, however, he was roused from his sleep by voices and whispers coming from the darkness. Venturing down to the basement, the young Alistar discovered a group of dark voodoo spirits trapped in his basement, calling to him and promising him the power to obtain any earthly desire he wanted, in return for his assistance in releasing them from their prison where they had been trapped for decades. He set them free, and true to their word, his new "friends" granted him a talisman that gave him command over dark magics and voodoo sorcery, as well as granting his shadow the ability to operate freely and independently from his body, though it obeyed his every wish. Alistar used his new gifts to make a life for himself as an investor and "businessman", amassing a sizable fortune through a combination of underhanded economic tactics, clever investments, and a little help from his "friends". Once he had accumulated the necessary funds, Alistar went to a prestigious university and then attended graduate school afterwards, eventually earning his Doctorate degree in Psychology. I'm sorry I haven't gotten back yet @_@ Just started school today, and man do my feet hurt!!! That saying "Boy, are my dogs barking" yeah... well, that's me. xD So, once I have a bit of free time, either before bed today, or tomorrow.... I'll get a reply out. The only way this stops you from responding, is if your characters are talking to either of mine.... Please don't assume you have to wait for everyone, as long as we keep all our characters on the same "day" of sorts. (aka, don't send your character to bed and on into a new day before everyone else is in the same position)

@Ceres - Could you edit your post a bit? If you look in the rules for the rp in the overview tab, you'll see that I ask for at least a good solid paragraph or two... detail and what not.

Just to clarify, Doctor Facilier, to young adults or people that haven't spent a lot of time around him, will genuinely appear to be an upstanding, polite and civil gentleman. The only reason the other faculty members don't like him and avoid him (besides Kaliska, because she's a badass) is because they've been his coworkers for a few years now and they've had time to get to know him and experience his dark side.


That being said, the student characters might, depending on their respective personalities, form different opinions about him, but none of them are going to just automatically know that he's evil. The only clue they'll get to his true nature is maybe a chill down their spine or something like that. No matter how much cologne you wear, being a voodoo witch doctor tends to give you a bit of a malicious aura.


SO IN CONCLUSION:


Unless your character is faculty, can read auras, or has a personal history with Alistar (which none of the students do, unless someone joins as Tiana/Naveen), then your character will have no reason to suspect right away that he is really a bad person.


 
Just wanted to make sure that character interactions with my character will stay true to his outward appearance. Alistar's got a rep.

I know Esmeralda is staff... but I hadn't meant to write it out so obviously. I was a bit tired getting home from work and a bit tired now... but if that's what brought about the quick heads up, I wouldn't mind rewriting it and calming the thing down a bit.


I mainly pulled Esmeralda away because I was going to be busy at work and didn't want to hold a lot of people back because she wasn't responding. And couldn't think of a reason beyond 'ew Facilier' to have her actually leave. So sorry, just so you know... I probly could have thought that one out a little better.
