Use it or they for minor npc digimon. Otherwise. We can just choose genders for our digimon for you

Story time: I've actually been working on writing a story on my own for awhile and was having a very similar issue, because I wanted my character to not actually have a name until later in the book when he is given his name, but I discovered that it is incredibly hard to work around not giving your character a name for a long span of time, especially when there are more characters of the same gender, as you have to clarify who is talking and who is being talked about very frequently. It's literally so difficult that I am strongly considering restructuring the entire story so far so he gets his name right away and then it goes into a flashback, (OR just rewriting it all from his perspective until he gets his name) just so I have a workaround.

TL; DR establish pronouns and character names before you start a significant writing project or you will have the worst time.

In a previous RP I made this character whose gender was a mystery, as it was a sort of genderless being who was also a sort of hermaphrodite being (don't ask how that made sense) I break my head trying to use pronouns on that one

The evolution system while similar to the previous has a little tweak, its completely optional and free to execute as simply as pressing their device's button corresponding to yes. After doing that your human will feel dizzy and a bit weak for a moment as their Digimon partner evolve into a new form
In essence, this evolution system pretty much consumes energy from the human person to power up the Digimon. For now enough to reach champion, but as sthe game advances more opportunity to evolve to higher level will show up
Also, the willpower, connection and friendship with Digimon will still apply as a factor in digievolution, lowering the amount of energy the person have to give to the digimon and in ocassions simply evolving (just like in the adventure, tamers and savers series), yet for now, the evolution works with the data transfer protocol system (DTP)
Also in case you don't want to digivolve, the DTP can also be used to "Feed with energy" your mon to heal its wounds.

PD: You can go wild in the battles against your opponents, I won't interfere much so you can write how you face them
Deputymon, SangLoupmon and Reppamon are champion leveled, MasterTyrannomon would take a combined effort as it's Ultimate. Crescemon is wounded but still fighting so you can write actions for her as well
