Fin - nuh - llllyyyyyyy!

Freya was simply overjoyed as she boarded the S.S. Montunui for her senior year just a couple of hours ago. The strawberry blonde was simply counting the days to her scholastic year. It was not that she did not love her home but being abroad and alone was a whole new experience that simply made her more of an adult. Running around the castle, finding new things to do and also finding basic chores done out of courtesy was something that got too old too quickly. Sure, this school on deck was all about the mannerisms and the pathway to her royalty but at least she was alone, experiencing life as a fully-fledged adult with her beloved best friend and companion. A next step in their life, more to so.

Despite all these positive feelings, she could not help but pout as she slowly got dressed for the farewell festival that was held at the start of each scholastic year. Freya felt a bit bittersweet as this was her last year aboard this wonderful place. Amongst her royal and non-royal friends! She enjoyed these festivities quite a lot as they were quite eventful. It did sting a little bit to leave her parents and family behind but the fact that Jonas and her cousin were here as well lessened the blow for leaving Arendelle. Having her platonic half with her through her adventures was something that truly helped her. Freya and Jonas were inseparable. He was a lifelong companion from her Aunt Elsa when she was still brewing in her mother's womb. It was the most thoughtful gift ever given. Nothing ever did match. On the other hand, despite not living with her cousin, Aria, she still cared for her and took this opportunity to get closer to her. It pained her how closed off she was after what happened with Aria's father.

A soft sigh escaped Freya's lips as she zipped up the side of her baby blue off-shouldered dress. Sliding in her white sandals on her feet she places a matching floral headpiece on the right side of her curled-up hair. Looking at the long mirror of her rather spacious room, she gave herself a nice twirl on the spot, letting the nice frills of her skirt rest along the pale skin of her mid-thighs. Her eyes slowly skimmed once again the reflection of herself in the mirror as if double-checking the outfit choice for the day. "Hmmm.... something is not right," her hands went up to her strawberry blonde curls and separated them, quickly braiding her hair rather scruffily. Reaching over her desk, she True she loved braids but no one ever claimed she was good at them. This was her mother's territory. Freya always had her beloved mother braid her hair before she went to sleep. This was truly something she dearly missed when she was on board for school.

"Perfect... ish," she muttered with a bright smile making an appearance on her face. Sliding her feet into her white sandals she couldn't help but practically skipped out to the passageway and jogged to her best friend's room. She missed Jonas. It was only an hour since they have been separated but her anxiety levels go through the roof whenever the son of the snowman was not around. There was a reason why they were joint to the hip. Freya was not one to show people whenever she is anxious and having her anchor with her helped. Noticing his door she ran to knock on its door but as she reached it from the side, she ended up almost knocking on his chest before looking up at her tall friend with a laugh. "Nice timing there Jj! C'mon, let's go! Our parents are probably waiting on the deck," with a squeak she took his hand and yanked him into a run with her, not sure if she gave him enough time to grab the door behind him.

As she dragged them both along the staircase, she couldn't help but stare in awe at the beauty of the flowers that were adorning it, making their way to the deck where it was already crowding up a bit. Talking and laughter could be heard amongst the crowds of peers and their parents saying their farewells. Halting on the spot she squinted to scan for the familiar red-haired woman and the blonde man recognised her parents who were right behind her aunt and cousin. "Look! Over there... even your father is here Jo," she turned looking up at him as she slowly dusted off the extra ice shards that formed along his neck, "you're frosting again."

With that, Freya made her way through the sea of students to her parents, taking her mother into an embrace. Taking her daughter in, Anna was glad she was all well. Scruffy braids aside she closed her eyes as she felt her mother's warm touch against her skin before looking up to her father who informed her that they must depart back to make it on time. "All good papa, please have a safe trip back. I will send you postcards when I can," he chuckled before ruffling her hair, giving his daughter a hug and kiss on the head as her best friend did the same with his father.

As Jonas took his time bidding his goodbyes, her eyes started scanning all the different activities. Dining tables for eating and mingling, no that was too social. Right on cue, a nice waitress lowered a tray in front of her with olive canapes, "Mmm don't mind if I do..." taking one for her and saving one for Jonas before handing it to him as he returned to his side, "Here you go, seems like there are plenty of cuisine's to try. Are you up for a trip around the world through food? Sounds better than mingling for now..." her gaze looked hopeful at him.

As she looked behind her friend, she noticed there were already cliques forming and talking. Old friends were reuniting and new friendships were being made. Her eyes stayed peeled for another friendly red-head set of curls which belonged to her gal pal. No such sign in the crowd as a soft pout escaped her lips. From the corner of her gaze, she also noticed a male by the railings who did not seem to look very happy in this celebration. Freya was not one to endure when she sees someone that is in such a state. Pointing behind Jonas she wanted to make him aware of him, "Someone seems to be keeping away from the crowds. Can't say I blame him. It is getting very crowded out here! What's your status report up there?" she kidded lightly at their apparent height difference.

Elias Garah.
If someone would have told Elias that he would be on a luxurious boat for a school travelling around the oceans, he would have probably laughed in your face. Out of all the outcomes he thought for himself and his partner-in-crime, this was a crystal-given bonus. For all their thieving opportunities, this was simply a haven for them. This cruise ship was full of young princes and princesses who were no doubt fully loaded - or so he hoped. For a person or rather parrot that was absent for the majority of his son's life, it was quite the treat after signing off his life to their master before even being born in the first place.

Here he was, trying to match a perfectly 'decent' outfit to at least fit in with their peers. Elias was not a fan of this get-up, not to say the least. He was not really one to own a fancy suit. He could never afford it, surely. Elias always just went on whatever he could get by rather than spending on useless things. He and Ebonee might have been raised by a rich and heartless man but they never had it easy, to begin with. Knowing very well what was about to happen once they stepped out of that door and saw Ebonee's choice of outfit, he surely needed the cover. As he looked in the bathroom mirror he let out a groan of annoyance and tucked out his navy shirt from his olive green pants. He didn't love being neat and putting on the nice-looking coat that was kind of wrinkled, was as clean as Elias could get.

Opening the tap, he let his palms get soaked with water as he ran two hands through his hair, dampening it a little bit to style it in its' wild scruffiness. The beauty of his hair was something he truly loved. No matter how he styled it, gravity does wonders, always managing to fall into place, no matter the position. Letting the water run, he couldn't help but feel relieved at its touch. A soft sigh escaped his lips before he decided to not fight the urge and simply lowered his face to the sink and splashes his face with water, "Ahh, still cannot get used to that. Did you ever try splashing your face? Like at all?" he yelled at the female in the main area of her dorm. Elias and Ebonee were a team and with that came the decision for Elias to camp out in her room. The man was not used to sleeping on a bed alone or at all. The floor was going to do, if not a better option.

Turning the knob to switch off the water supply, he dried his hands with his pants and slowly shrugged his coat on to fit better before emerging from the bathroom. His jaw nearly dropped as he saw the reflection of his best friend, his companion in the mirror before she faced him. He was taken aback. She looked different. All clean, all neat. She did way better than him for sure. He gulped silently before he noticed her familiar reaction to him. "Thankfully for you, I got loads of them," gesturing towards the beloved sleeves of his coat and buttoned-up shirt. At her comment and the slight whimper in her voice he slowly approached her, his gaze to hers, "I think by now we both know that life is anything but fair BonBon."

"Well, my voice capabilities do give us a rather good distraction advantage no? A voice actor for sure."
he kidded, placing his forehead against hers and grasping the soft skin of her upper arms firmly yet gently (due to her scars) in reassurance. His palms still felt rough with the callouses from all his climbing and gripping. "I feel just as a fish out of the water as you do but panic and anxiety will not do you any good, alright? Breathe. Whatever we must endure, we endure it together. As always," his gaze looked into hers before taking a step back, letting out a fist bump for her to connect her own with as a sign of commitment between the pair. A seal of a deal or so to speak.

Hearing her wince caused a ping of pain through Elias. A string of internal anger at the man who did this. The man he is protecting her from by coming here in the first place. Sure, they were not made for the lush life but this was the first close to escape they could manage. As her worries went to the no-sleeve situation, he could not help but laugh at her current spree, "Listen, I got you. This time round you shall be the beautiful distraction and I shall be doing the swiping, I agree. I have enough sleeves and pockets for both of us. Any little trinkets you can smuggle in your pockets," with that sentence he slowly slid two fingers in one of her pockets, seeing the depth and frowned, "hmm is a bonus. You can manage small jewellery or coins for sure.". With that, he slid them out and stepped back for her to view herself in the mirror again. For certain exchanges they were used to being in close proximities it became natural.

Hovering by her side, he looked down at their current acquisitions, "That we shall Bon, we need to stock up and quick. This is fairly little compared to back home."

Elias loved to challenge the brunette in front of him. It only made her want to be better, to swipe better. She was more than capable and he always told her that she need not prove herself to anyone. Casually placing his hands in his coat's pocket, he lightly walked behind her as he snuck his way out of her room, "Are you actually thinking of casting something?" Elias knew the looks and double glances she offered meant she thought if there was something that magic could do for the particular things brewing in her head. Nodding her head towards the staircase, he jumped down the stairs, two by two before the familiar warm feeling of the sun basked his skin, "For certain... at least we get a lot of that back home."

As he heard Ebonee speaking by his side, his eyes skimmed the deck for the ideal target. Elias zoned in on a potential candidate, "Over there, 3 o'clock. Wine blazer, and tired eyes. Seems like he is down so probably not in the right headspace. Rather dashing even," looking back at Ebonee his side smirk simply widened. "So darling Bon, care to be the perfect solace distraction for that man over there? He for certain looks like he could use the dining company, don't you think?"

Ash (Nova)

It was just as he remembered it. You wouldn’t have known the room had belonged to him for each year he’d spent at Tefiti save for the β€˜A.C’, carved into the trim near the floor of the bedpost. The desk was pressed up against the corner and the bed pushed right under the window just as he liked it. Granted, it was devoid of its usual charm though he had an entire suitcase filled with banners and pictures to fill the empty spaces once he had the time. If he closed his eyes some nights, the salty smell and sound of waves brought him right back to Plage de Tamaricciu, spending summers eating fresh strawberries by the waves. Any thought of summer sent a weird feeling twisting his gut as if he’d missed a few meals. This one had perhaps been the most thrilling in his lifeβ€” filled with late-night trips to bars, picnics on the beach, and brisk kisses pressed up against the cherry brick of the Avenue des Champs-Γ‰lysΓ©es. But, it had gone by in a flash and Alex was merely left with the ghost of a familiar touch and a name that was impossible to forget.

Well, that’s enough of that. He wasn’t going to spend his entire senior year at sea reminiscing over a summer fling that was exactly that, a fling. It was his senior year for fucks sake, and he was certainly going to enjoy it.

Now, however, Alexander was fussing with his hair which seemed to have chosen the worse time to go rogue. He eventually let it lay in a slight mess of brown curls, which could look intentional if you didn’t give it much thought. He knew it was going to be warm so he settled for a button-down and some khakis, making sure to leave a few buttons open for discretion. His mother had also shoved an entire bag of jewelry into his suitcase so he made sure to slip on a few bangles and a golden hoop through his right ear. It was impossible to ignore a Chateauper when they jingled every time they walked. (He knew his mother was probably up deck making tiny tunes each time she moved with the amount of jewelry adorning her arms and ankles). Alex figured some of his classmates were likely loathing this event, but any sort of social gathering was always a delight in his eyes. Seeing old friends, and making new onesβ€” that was his favorite part of Tefiti. His junior year had gone by too quickly in his own mind so he was deadset on making his final year here count.

β€œMon beau garΓ§on!” Alexander had stepped out onto the deck for a mere minute before warm, familiar hands were cupping his face, smushing his lips together like a cod. β€œMom, please I—”, A warm chuckle escaped him as his words were slightly muffled by her iron grip. β€œHush, give me one minute with you. You’re lucky your father couldn’t come, you know he’s much worse than I am”, Esmerelda, his mother, gave his cheek an affectionate pinch before letting him go with a warm grin. Even in her later years, Esmerelda was still beautiful. Her hair was braided intricately with golden threads and jewels, her signature bangles tinkering quietly with each grateful swish of her wrist.

β€œI can’t even believe it, I remember when you came up to my hip carrying around that guitar that nearly weighed as much as you. And now look at you… My son breaks a lot of hearts doesn’t he”, She tsked while smoothing out the shoulder of his shirt, raising an eyebrow at his obvious lack of buttoning. β€œMaman…”, Alexander’s face flushed a deep rose color in embarrassment as he flicked her hand away gently.

β€œOh, you’re just as modest as your father”, She rolled her eyes with a fond look, β€œI won’t keep you mon petit bΓ©bΓ©, I know you’re probably waiting to go socialize with your friends. I for one am owed a nice chat with Queen Anna. A lovely woman you know, wonderfully spiteful too. Make sure you take care of her daughter this year, yes?” Esmerelda pulled him into a casual hug, which he gladly returned, the smell of incense and cinnamon a great comfort.

β€œJe t'aime”, Esmerelda murmured before pulling away to give his face one last loving squeeze before letting him go. β€œI love you too, Mom”. Alex watched her move towards those from Arendelle with a graceful swish of her skirt, his heart twisting somberly in his chest. His mother always did everything for him, going out of her way to get him enrolled in Tefiti and supporting every single step he took. If only he could repay her. This year he was determined to find some solution to the continued persecution of his people. Royals had power, money, and influence. He could only hope to find friends willing to help him.

Alexander’s eyes scanned the deck, recognizing a few returning faces and noting quite a few new ones. Excitement buzzed underneath his skin as he allowed himself to sink back into the environment of the party, wondering whose company he could steal for a moment. Alexander had a terrible knack for those who tended to stick to the outskirts, easily picking out a few people before settling on a tall, handsome drink of water. Picking up a flute of champagne from a waitress along the way he strode up to the table where the other was currently reaching for a napkin.

β€œHi there”, Alexander leaned slightly against the back of one of the chairs, a warm smile gracing his lips as he tilted his head in greeting. β€œDon’t think I’ve seen you on the ship beforeβ€” though you’ll probably hear that about a thousand times tonight”, He chuckled softly before raising his flute of champagne cheekily. β€œI’m Alexander”.

Isla was charmed by the guy instantly. Son of Moana really knew what he was doing.

To be honest, it was the recovery from his loss of balance that did it for her. Right off the bat. It wasn't necessarily clumsiness, she had just popped up out of nowhere, it was bound to catch anyone off guard. It was literally the entire reason she did it in the first place. But, his reaction was cute, and elicited a grin from her that stretched cheek to cheek, displaying her dimples.

His attractiveness was solidified by the intimacy of his handshake. Direct eye-contact? Check. Soft touches? Check. Absolutely oozing confidence? Check and a whole ass check again. She's intended for a firm handshake, a strong 'get to know ya' joining of the hands type thing. But this was certainly good for her too, and judging by the fact that the guy-- Malakai-- seemed to make no move to pull his hand away, they were both enjoying the interaction.

"Name's Malakai. and uh.. you're right," oh even his voice was delicious, smooth as honey. Isla had certainly won the jackpot in terms of interactions that evening, and the Festival had only just begun.

"Malakai." Isla repeated after him, tasting his name on her tongue. It was a handsome name, fit for a handsome guy. The direction of his gaze wasn't lost on her as he took in the length of her body. It may not have lasted as long as she would have liked, but it still managed to send a pulse electricity through her body and leave her with her head buzzing. Her grin morphed into an easy, seductive sort of smirk. She took a little time to take in his appearance too, but his smile was too good to pass up, and her gaze quickly returned to his face in hopes she'd catch sight of it again.

"'s nice to meet you, Isla. I knew to expect sights to see by enrolling, but I didn't know they came as beautiful as you." He was just as smooth as she was with the playful interest. She could appreciate that in a person for sure. And his eye contact was to die for, the way he said her name was intentional and warm. She ate up every second of it. Yet there was a feeling in the pit of her stomach that seemed to make her a little sick. An aching, gnawing sort of feeling. Naomi.

She fought the urge to break eye contact and shoved the thought of her girlfriend to the side for a moment. She chuckled warmly at his words and flipped her hair a little dramatically, red waves cascading through the air. "I suppose that everyone here is lucky then? They get to see two of the best sights there are to see without even leaving port." She bit her lip coyly, then looked down and away a bit. Sure, it was a tactic, but it was a tactic she performed well. "I sure as hell feel pretty lucky to have met you, Malakai." As she said his name, her moss green eyes fluttered back up to meet his.

Unfortunately he had taken that moment to drink from his champagne flute, and when Isla looked at his eyes, his eyes were looking elsewhere. She couldn't help but wrinkle her nose in disappointment a bit, but she forced herself to quickly plaster a smile back in place. Still, as Malakai returned his attention to her, something seemed a little off. She couldn't quite place it.

The moment was gone it seemed, and with that realization came an influx of emotion. She was flooded with her guilt again, this time unable to shove it away. And paranoia knawed at the corners of her mind. Had anyone seen her flirting with Malakai? Anyone that would tell Naomi? Isla wasn't sure she could handle an argument with her girlfriend again. Not on their first day back. And perhaps that was on her, for flirting with someone else, but the lure of a stranger was all too tempting, and Isla was known to give into her temptations without a care. It was bound to get her in trouble. She couldn't resist glancing around them, but at her height it wasn't like she could see all that much.

She'd gone quiet for too long. She needed to say something.

If she were smart she would've gotten the hell out of dodge and gone to find Freya. Freya always seemed to keep her out of trouble.

She wasn't smart though, and the temptation to pry was much too strong. "I couldn't help but see you hugging the Chancellor. Am I right in assuming that you're the rumored son that I heard would be joining us?"

she froze. jean-legba facilier had her right where he wanted her to be. although he never intended to get himself into trouble so early in his arrival aboard the ship, the opportunity presented itself and the amateur shadowman was never one to turn opportunities down if they were laid out in front of him. with a tone dripping of honey-concealed poison and the dark loas that clung to him at his aid, he took another step towards her and shushed her worries away with his deceitful demeanor before.. nothing.

the tension he had building up between them was wiped away within seconds as a voice chimed into their conversation, into his chance at claiming another soul. annoyance fluttered throughout his chest as he saw the light return into the waitress' eyes and she became aware of her responsibilities once more. jean was so internally flustered by the interruption that he shooed her away with his silver-adorned hand before she could get a chance to offer a refill. he didn't need one anyhow. sparkling cider would never fulfill his need like a jack daniels or a scotch would satisfy.

watching her flee to tend to another guest's needs, jean turned his head in the direction of the unfamiliar voice that caused his downfall. and when he saw the man clad in a leopard-like printed shirt with dark slacks, interest grew upon his face. from just his presentation, he reeked of spirituality. jean knew better than to assume he was a villain, but he stuck out like a sore thumb to facilier. he was no royal, that's for sure.

"oh yeah, and what gave you that impression?," jean folded his arms across his chest, clinking his rings against the glass that now rested near his shoulder as he maintained eye contact with the other, "was it the nearly full glass in my hand or was it the way i was eye-fucking the waitress?" his tone was playful now, not so annoyed in the slightest now. while he had been riddled with it after losing his chance with miss no name, the new guy piqued his interest more than she did. not so much because of his sudden presence, but because something about him made his senses buzz like tv static.

he spoke like a spiritual artist, one that would approach a tourist on the streets of new orleans in hopes of fooling the wallet right out of their pants pocket. only this time, this man's presentation wasn't a lie. the voices in his head and the sixth sense he had gained from throwing himself into voodoo years ago taught him enough to recognize a fellow shaman. was he good, or was he evil? that was something he couldn't scratch at just yet. but just his attendance aboard the ship had jean eager to find out. he had never met another individual who spoke or drowned in supernaturality as much as he did, and coming across someone alike him made the enrollment at TeFiti feel worthwhile.

Ash regretted not asking the waitress for a napkin when he'd had the moment, and he'd be damned if he was going to approach somebody else. He'd had quite enough social interaction already. He'd much prefer to be swallowed into the shadows and people watch from afar. His search for a napkin on the nearby tables proved unfruitful- and his hopes of acting civilized flew out the window.

With a sigh, he wiped his fingers surreptitiously on his pants, just where his jacket covered them.

It was then that he finally saw the napkins, regrettably just within his line of sight the whole time. "Oh. Well. Fuck." He mumbled to himself as he reached for one of the napkins, feeling more than a little ashamed that he'd given in and wiped his hand on his pants. It felt so uncivilized. A nasty pirate he was not--- or, at least, he was trying not to be.

As the tip of his finger brushed against the napkin, he heard a voice that made him jump a little. β€œHi there”, The voice was rich and enticing, and Ash fought the urge to smile at the allure of it. He gingerly picked up the napkin that his hand was hovering over and turned to face the owner of the voice. He wasn't disappointed. The man stood, leaned against the back of a chair. His eyes were the color of emeralds, they seemed to shine as he smiled. Ash felt as if the world were on fire.

He didn't return the smile though, merely sized the guy up. No sense in letting him know just how much Ash enjoyed the view. He was enjoying the thoughts in his mind as they were. Besides, Ash always appreciated an air of mystery.

β€œDon’t think I’ve seen you on the ship beforeβ€” though you’ll probably hear that about a thousand times tonight”, The man continued to speak, the clichΓ© spilling from his beautiful lips that Ash might have stared at just a moment too long. He would've been ashamed to admit that a line had worked on him. Good thing he'd never admit it. The man then raised his champagne flute in Ash's direction, and Ash tore his eyes away from his lips, and to his hand, then back to his eyes.β€œI’m Alexander”.

Alexander. It seemed like such a pretentious name to Ash. Longer than it should be. Not as if his own name was any different.

Ash wiped his fingers with the napkin he'd found, then threw it away, tossing it adeptly into the garbage bin about five feet away from them. "Asherah." He seemed to grunt it, as if he'd strained his voice or something. He mentally cursed himself for crying earlier. It made talking to people even more difficult than it already was for him. "I hope you're the only one I hear it from. I'm not in the business of having the same conversation over and over again."

He, too, leaned against the back of a chair, opposite Alexander. He wasn't quite sure why the man approached him, but he was intrigued to find out. One hand reached up to mindlessly toy with one of the silver necklaces hung about his neck.

His gaze left Alexander momentarily, catching the eyes of a waiter holding a tray of champagne flutes. Now was a good time, if any, to have a drink. Besides, it would give him something to do with his hands. He beckoned the waiter closer, and accepted a champagne flute. This time, he spared a smile, but for the waiter. The waiter nodded in turn, then set about the rest of his tasks.

Asherah held his champagne flute and examined it. It wasn't his favorite sort of drink, but it was what they offered, and he'd take anything at the moment.

He took a drink of the champagne, the bubbles dancing across his tongue. It actually wasn't so bad, not the sort of champagne that he'd had with Smee before. This was almost an enjoyable experience. He pulled the glass away from his lips, swallowed, then brushed his thumb across his lower lip to catch any champagne that might have lingered there. It was then that he looked back at Alexander. Once again, fighting a smirk, he merely said, "'S good champagne. Nice taste."

evie french

Along with the help of her mother, Evie had been styled into a short yellow dress that was almost the same color as her mother's. She felt silly matching with Belle, but it wasn't like it was completely up to her... Belle was loving and a good mother, but she was also a bit controlling with Evie due to her wild and carefree personality. You'd think with Belle's own story, she'd be more lax, but Evie knew that to be far from the truth.

"Is this really what you want me in?" Evie asked reluctantly, looking at herself in the mirror and doing a half spin, "Matching was cute when I was like five... Not now." She sighed, turning back to her mother. Belle only shook her head, "It's an ode to mine and your father's story, Evelyn, you should be proud of where you came from." She began to brush through the soft curls on her head with a sigh, only for Belle to reach for the brush and Evie to send a glare in her direction. "I was just trying to help!" The older woman assured, only for a knock to come through the door before it opened, "How are my two favorite ladies?"

Evie stayed quiet and shook her head while Belle gave her husband a look, signaling him to come up behind Evie and place his hands on her shoulders, "We're just going to miss you is all," Adam smiled at their reflection in the mirror as his daughter continued to brush her hair, "Besides, with these villain kids coming onto the ship you can't blame us for worrying." The young girl scoffed, quickly turning her head, "Dad you were a beast, you were a villain... I can't believe you're acting so prejudice!"

"No, no, Evelyn that's not what I-" She was already heading out of the room, "I'll see you at the end of the party." She shook her head in disappointment, walking from her dorm to the main deck. Her father of all people should be open to the villains' children coming aboard and yet his comment made it seem otherwise. Evie knew the idea was a point of contention between many, but seeing it was among her own parents made her sad and almost ashamed. She just hoped they wouldn't say anything so awful in public.

Another year of classes meant another Farewell Festival. Evie found herself surrounded by both familiar and new faces, looking around at all of the dazzling outfits and people wearing them. While she enjoyed getting dressed up for events, the thing she was looking forward to most was the party ending so she could change into a swimsuit and get in the pool. Swimming was relaxing for her, always had been, and swimming while sailing the ocean was just amazing. The girl was standing in the middle of the deck, pursing her lips to try and decide where to go before she saw crab balls on a platter. In a hurry, she tried to catch the waiter, but missed him by just a hair.

With a defeated sigh she stood back up straight, only to come face to face with a blonde haired boy that she didn't recognize. "Oh, hi there." She giggled a bit awkwardly, "Sorry, I wasn't running towards you, those crab balls are just really good and-" She stopped herself from rambling, shaking her head to present herself a bit more regally, "Nevermind. I'm Evie, you must be new?" The girl questioned with a small smile.

mallory

daughter of maleficent

Mallory's mother had pissed her off and she was in a very bad mood. She understood the whole "long live evil" mantra her mother lived by but sometimes, that shit got boring. Especially in this situation. Mallory knew she could avoid coming to this school again but just because her mother has a stick up her ass about a lifetime rivalry with some blonde airhead princess, she was forced to attend. Mallory slightly swayed from side to side as she stared straight ahead at the crowd of students, which had now tripled in number when she first arrived. She lifted her left hand up to her hair to move a few pieces of hair that had fallen into her face to the side but before she could, she saw someone who made her freeze. Jaihid Ababwa. Mallory and he had a history that went way back to her teen years on the Isle. The two had been like peanut butter and jelly. They spent every day together for what felt like years and Mallory had slowly fallen in love with him. One day, she decided she didn't want to face the same fate her mother had and she stopped seeing him. Mallory had done a good job at avoiding him but from time to time, she would go out of her way to pass him in the halls or be in the same area as he would be in. Mallory watched him as he went searching for someone who she assumed was his parents. As he wormed his way through the crowd, he waved and smiled at Mallory. She looked away immediately but on the inside, she wanted to either wave or smile back. It hurt her to see him but it also felt good. Mallory thought about leaving back to her dorm because being around her mother was one thing but being around her mother and Jai? That was too much.

Right as Mallory made the mental decision to leave this torturous event, she noticed the face of a familiar girl with beautiful curls heading her way. Cecelia Facilier. Mallory sighed with relief because she knew Cece who was actually her only friend on this floating prison, would be able to comfort her. The two had met their junior year and at first, Mallory was unsure about befriending her but over time, she got used to Cece. There was something about her that drew Mallory close. Her aura radiated darkness and power, and Mal knew exactly what it was. It was very intriguing to see where Cecelia's power came from and she was a powerhouse, but a dangerous one at that.

"The legendary Maleficent, as I live and breathe." Mallory felt a smile tug at her lips as Cece spoke. There was just something about her thick, New Orleanian accent that brought warmth and comfort to Mallory. "It's so refreshing to see a real role model on this ship." Mallory turned her head slightly to look at her mother. "I know I am. You do not have to remind me, little girl." Maleficent snapped back. Mallory rolled her eyes and sighed. Her mother was being a complete bitch for no reason. There was a slightly awkward pause before Cece linked her arm with Mallory's and continued speaking. "Mallory, did you happen to see that captain's boy is a new student on the boat?" Mallory looked around the boat and immediately spotted who she was talking about. He was tall and cute. His skin glistened in the sun which was fairly attractive. But her mind immediately went right back to Jai and the time they spent together. Mallory and Jai weren't dating but it still felt wrong because she knew deep down, her feelings for him raged strongly. "What about him? Is he like supposed to be the most attractive boy on this boat that everyone is swooning over?" Mallory could see there were a few girls basically eye fucking him and giggling as they walked by him. "I've seen rats that look better than him," Maleficent chimed in. Mallory couldn't help but smirk and let out a small laugh at her mother's remark.

Double checking that he had everything, it didn't take long for Jonas to finish getting ready. While he and his best friend Freya had arrived together on the ship, returning for their senior year with their families, they had separated soon after. There always seemed to be a party when it came to royalty. While he didn't mind it so much, the constant dressing up got to be a bit tiring. At least the food was good though.

He tugged at the ends of his jacket, nodding to himself. Yep, ready as he'll ever be. He had his watch, his wallet was tucked into his inside pocket, and he had his white gym shoes on. Party this may be, but he was not about to spend who knows how long in uncomfortable shoes. Not on this rocking ship.

Dressed and ready, he went to leave his room, only to have a small redheaded bundle of energy bump into his chest. He grinned down at her, resisting the urge to mess with her hair. He knew she'd kill him if he tried to mess with her today, after she just finished getting ready. "Oh, you know me. Always aim to please." he grinned, laughing when she rolled her eyes and grabbed his arm.

As he was dragged down the hallway, Jonas could only hum as he hurried along, not wanting to trip over his friend. Coming up on the deck, he let out a relieved sigh, enjoying the breeze that immediately came to ruffle his hair. He missed this. Sure boat school was kind of weird, but hey, it got him out and traveling, and he was surrounded by friends. What more could a guy ask for?

"Yep, I see them." he nodded as Freya pointed out the sight of their parents. The King and Queen of Arendelle and their trusty sidekick, Olaf. What a sight they made for sure. "Come on, let's go say hi before we join the party." he grinned before beginning to head over. At the mention of him frosting however, he paused. Dang it. He'd been doing so well today too. He really didn't want to lower the temperature around him and make everyone uncomfortable. With tensions riding high as all the new juniors came, he doubted anyone would welcome such an event.

"I'll work on it, now let's go."

As Freya chatted with her parents, he smiled down at the little snowman that had decided to take him under his...stick? Whatever, anyway, Jonas would always be grateful to Olaf for looking after him after he was created. He enjoyed the life he'd led, and knew that a lot of his sense of wonder and joy had been cultivated by the being in front of him. Saying a final goodbye to his surrogate father, they shared a fist-bump, laughing as they parted ways.

As he made his way back to Freya, he shook his head fondly at the sight of her happily munching away. "Thank you, milady." he teased, giving her a small mock bow as he accepted the treat. "You're right, delicious." he hummed, scanning the deck. "Hm, yeah crowded from up here as well." he agreed.

With a glance in the direction of Freya's loner, he smirked. Gently grabbing his friend by the shoulders, he turned her so she was facing the boy. "If he does indeed seem to be looking lonely, why don't you go give him some company hm?"

Having said his piece, he gave her a gentle shove in his direction, laughing at the disgruntled look she sent back at him. With a quick salute, he whistled, pleased with himself as he spun on his foot, looking for someone to talk to. It didn't take him long to spot someone enjoying themselves by a cocktail table.

"Anything in particular you recommend?" he asked him, having made his way over. "My friend loves the food, so I tend to stick to her recommendations, but I'm always willing to try something new. Oh! Uh, I'm Jonas, by the way."

The shrimp ceviche was to die for, honestly, and Beau was ecstatic that he'd had the foresight and good instinct to take as much of it as he had. Weird looks from the waiter or no. He finished off the ceviche he'd shoved in his mouth during his encounter, then looked around and noticed he'd grabbed nothing to drink to wash it down with. His eyes scanned the crowd, but the drinks the waiters and waitresses zig-zagged around with all seemed to be some sort of cider of champagne. All Beau wanted was a nice, cold glass of water. Something to cleanse his palette...and help in combatting the horrible dry-mouth feeling that the gummy was now sending his way. Ah, the only drawback to being a stoner. He could live with it.

The drawbacks-- not the absence of water.

His eyes latched onto a waitress that was restocking napkins on a nearby table. "Er, 'scuse me? Could I possibly have a glass of water?" His expression was hopeful, his voice was kind and soft. The waitress seemed a little enchanted by it, until she noticed the redness of his eyes.

Her hand reached up to cover her mouth daintily where a smile was beginning to form. "Oh, yes sir, of course I can. I'll be right back with that, alright?" She bounced off before he had a chance to respond to her, unable to stop a giggle from bubbling out of her.

Beau was a little perplexed by her reaction to him until her remembered that his eyes were probably red as hell. Oh well, hopefully he had been her entertainment for the way. Still, some part of him did worry that she might tell someone in charge- that part of him that seemed to overreact to everything whenever he was high.

He wondered how long she was going to be with that water...

In the meantime, he would return his attention to the food in front of him. That shrimp ceviche was too delicious to ignore any longer, even with a dry mouth. With relish, he popped another bite of it into his mouth. Just as delicious as the first bite, honestly. If he had been a bit more sober he might have started analyzing the flavor profiles so he could replicate the recipe later. For now, he was just content to enjoy the flavor and experience.

"Anything particular you'd recommend?" Beau hadn't noticed anyone approach, which made him feel a little dumb considering he was waiting on the return of the waitress. He ought to have been much more aware of his surroundings than he had been. He looked up and at the friendly face of the guy that had approached him. "My friend loves the food, so I tend to stick to her recommendations, but I'm always willing to try something new!" Beau hadn't been prepared for questions, and worked on swallowing the bite of food he had previously taken. He didn't want to be rude and talk with his mouth full-- and he had managed to take quite a large bite. "Oh! Uh, I'm Jonas, by the way."

Beau finished his bite as Jonas seemed to finish talking. He mourned his dry mouth now more than ever, but pushed through, offering the guy a sweet, signature smile. "Hey, I'm Beau. Nice to meet you, man." He looked around again, willing the waitress to approach with the sweet relief of hydration. Even the champagne was looking delightful at the moment, even though Beau knew the dryness of the champagne would only make it worse.

"Er, the shrimp ceviche is fantastic, honestly. If shellfish is your thing. I know it's not necessarily everyone's. And honestly, that's the only thing I've tried so far." He looked down at his plate of collected hors d'oeuvres, then pushed it slightly in the direction of his new conversation partner. "You can try some of it, if you'd like. I got, like a lot of it." Beau chuckled a bit sheepishly. "Food's like my favorite thing honestly, and it all looked too good to be true." He scratched the back of his neck, feeling just a little bit awkward, but at least Jonas seemed nice enough.

As if she had descended from the Heavens themselves, the waitress, clearly an angel in disguise, finally brought him a glass of water. "Oh, thank god." He realized how it might have sounded, and his head snapped up to look at the waitress apologetically. "Oh! And thank you! You're a life saver for real!" The waitress giggled and took her leave.

It was then that Beau realized the water wasn't cold. He was mildly disappointed. Nothing felt better than ice cold water. This would have to do, though. His desperation for something to drink was going to win out over his preferences.

Forgetting himself, and forgetting he was in the middle of a conversation, Beau picked up the glass and started to chug until the glass was about half full, then placed it back on the table. "Oh that's loads better." He looked back up at Jonas, then, remembering what he had been doing before, then laughed another sheepish laugh. "Er, sorry. I was crazy thirsty."

Sadie De Vil.
The sound of high heels clicking against the wooden floorboards of the deck echoed throughout as Sadie and her beloved mother made their entrance. Sadie, of course, was not one for grand entrances, unlike Cruella. She always wanted her presence to be known one way or another. They always seemed to arrive a few minutes behind schedule, but it only added to their air of mystery and allure. Looking at the smiling staff, Cruella's signature frown appeared on her lips as she swung her bag and laid her coat on top of the bag in the arms of the not so smiling crew member, "Be a doll darling and keep a nice watch on him. Be careful of the coat, labrador fur is very sensitive and stains rather easily. I do not want one patch on it!"

Sadie stood not far behind, lowering her head, hiding behind her sunglasses, wanting the deck to swallow her whole, "Mother... not like that. It's embarrassing," right on cue, the young black and white pomeranian in Sadie's bag barked and growled in agreement. "There, There Peps, it's no use. She will never grow out of it..." she retorted with an unseen eye-roll. Before being greeted by the loud voice belonging to her mother, "Now now darling, hurry along and get your luggage to your room before you start wowing this ship with our maaarvellous creations!" Cruella gestured grandly with her arms around as she twirled, placing both hands on Sadie's shoulders, "You show them what the De Vils are capable of."

It was not that Sadie did not love her mother, she did. But she was not really a fan of the theatrics and self-boasting when it came to her talents. Sadie knew she had skills when it came to designing clothes but she is not one to be up in one's face. Talent like that is recognised without having the need to do so. In fact, whenever the young fashionista is approached about her outfit, she simply states it and offers some articles for them to advertise even. She might even let them keep it if she was in a good enough mood. Clearly, she just wanted to step away and take a breather. "I shall go drop my bags off, we are already late as if for the festivities. Let us not make it any worse. I doubt I will be going anyways," looking down at her pup, caressing lovingly as he growled lowly in happiness.

"Nonsense! You shall go." Cruella insisted as she felt her mother's hands on her satin wine dress, with roses embroidered on them. With a nice leather jacket hugging her torso to accompany. All the work of the hands of the wearer. "Yeah yeah, so I can showcase the marvellous creations, yadda yadda," Sadie sighed in defeat before starting to move towards the passageway to her room, "I will be right back here."

"I swear sometimes you underestimate yourself way too much young lady!"
the mother yelled her voice slowly got drowned as Sadie made her way through the decorated hallways to register and get her own room which took her around twenty-five minutes. Twenty-five minutes that she is never going to get back from her life. All she wanted to do was decorate the room that she will be inhabiting. Definitely go to this festivity. Sadie felt drained, not really wanting to be out in public but her mother so insisted.

After successfully completing her task, she kept Pepper in her bag and looked down with a soft smile, "Shall we?"

The dog barked in response to the question and wagged his tail, shuffling in her bag, "Alright, alright. Seems like you are way more into this than I am for sure.". With that, she regretfully dragged her feet towards the deck where she parted ways with her mother. Something seemed not the same. Where was the sound of the familiar boasting voice? No heel clicking? Not upset crew member with her belongings? Did she... did she leave? Unbelievable. The artificial red-haired female looked around but her mother was nowhere to be seen. She felt a sense of unease creeping up on her that her gut feeling was right. It was highly unlikely that Sae took a wrong turn but letting out an even more defeated sigh, "I didn't think she would actually stoop this low."

Given the certain unfolding of events, Sadie definitely was not up to showing her face on a deck full of happy students, parting from their families. However, as she was about to turn back, a loud bark was heard and Pepper leapt out of her bag and took a running start towards the source of the noise, "PEPPER! Not this again."

Taking a jog after her pomeranian, Sadie was not up for this dog chase. The more she advanced, she was greeted by a flooded deck. Flooded with people. Her little fluffball now lost in the crowd, "Oh no, where are you! You lil...". With a loud groan, she looked around, her forehead all wrinkled with worry as she sifted through the students, looking down at the floor. "Pepper! I know you can hear me. You got me here, is that what you wanted?".

The black and white fluffy canine followed a scent. A rather oceanic scent seemed to be surrounding the vessel but was more potent on deck. Pepper was rather frantic now as he parted from his owner, looking around for Sadie, her voice drowned in the chatter noise. With a sliding halt, Pepper failed to stop and ran face-first into a young man's feet and recoiled back on the female's feet that he seemed to be conversing with. Little whimpers escaped the pup. Desperate to find its owner.

Henri Gerrard.
Henri could not believe he was talked into coming back on this floating vessel for his senior year. As much as he was not one to endure lessons and academics, he would rather be here than back home with his ungrateful father who barely sees him as is. If he did, the male he grew up to be Henri, would not be as rebellious and troublesome enough to prove exactly the contrary of the perfect Judge Frollo deems right.

Last Summer was quite the prime example of this so-called rebelling scheme.

He complotted a whole new scheme to play it off with his beloved best friend who helped him do the honours of it all. Without her, he wouldn't even have pulled it off. Placing his hands into the pockets of his leather jacket, he slowly swaggered his way onto the festive deck, his head lowered a bit. He needed to find the nearest cocktail bar, stat. Everywhere he looked reminded him, of that one person he could not leave his thoughts. The nice sandy beach frames along the passageways, the little chocolate strawberries by the dessert table... everything pointed to that one point in time when Henri was happy, content even. All of it reminded him of the memories made in Porto Vecchio. One thing that came out of this ruse is his father actually extending a nice visit to Porto Vecchio. This was all supposed to be hinted at as bonding time for his son and his 'girlfriend' to bond. However, his father always had a second motive.

Luckily for the young man, he did too. At least his friend got a free trip around Paris while she did her own thing, Henri ran around from one bar to the other till he ended up in the arms of the most handsome and dashing man he ever laid eyes on. That soft emerald gaze was something Henri could not forget. Accompanied by his mesmerising smile... he was hooked. Bar nights led to let night beach picnics, walks and even sneaking around the city of Paris in the nearest ally. For once, he was not worried about being seen. Whatever his father may have thought. Henri wanted this summer to last. Those warm embraces, little kisses and soft touches linger. Alas, it was only made for the summer.

Shaking the thought out from his head, waiters and waitresses passed by his left and right, all with delicious cuisines. "Jesus, what does a guy have to do to get a drink here?" he muttered under his breath in a rather annoying tone.

As he looked into the distance, he noticed a familiar spunky brunette he truly loved and adored. The same brunette he called his best friend, his 'girlfriend' even. With her seemed to be another female that was engaged in conversation with her. More importantly, there was a nice cabaret full of champagne flutes, finally. He sauntered his way towards the - and along the way he brushed by a standing male who was leaning against a chair, his shoulder and elbow hitting the male's back as he passed. Don't think Henri turned to apologise, or anything. He simply made haste to that champagne he so needed.

Reaching the current form of liquid gold, he took a flute and chugged down the glass of bubbly with a satisfying noise, lowering the empty flute on the counter. He decided to go for seconds and took another filled flute and turned to the two beautiful ladies, swinging a leathered arm around his best friend, Renata. "Well hello there beautiful, thought I'd find you here," he remarked in a sarcastic but sounding genuine tone. True they were best friends but he got way into the charade that they both just played along with now. Lowering himself from behind he whispered in her ear, "you would definitely have my attention if I swung that way," he chuckled as he complimented the way she was dressed in his own way.

Motioning the filled champagne flute around her to her front, he offered it, "For you milady."As much as they were both festive, they both shared the same burden. The same family problems and the fact that due to one reason or another, both their parents were not present on this boat, bidding their farewells like all their peers.

Finally noticing the respective female with the same idea to resort to alcohol, he gave a firm smile, just noticing she was actually talking to Renata. "Already made a new acquaintance?"

Awaiting his reply to her status report question, she fidgeted lightly with the edges of her braid with a scrunched nose at his verdict. "Seems like socialising is going to be an option for these couple of hours, hmm?"

As if right on cue, she followed his gaze which led to the rather equivalently tall male who seemed to be keeping to himself but looking at the mischievous smirk brewing on her best friend's face she shot him a warning glare that transformed from her content savoury moment. As she was turned on her heels she could now see the male in front of her with Jonas' grip on her shoulders, "Jonas no. I don't ..." she tried to retort. Upon Jonas' suggestion and well rather impulse he gave her a gentle push all towards him. Due to her resistance, a little bit of extra force was made that sent her into a jog closer to the railings.

Looking back she narrowed her eyes, shooting him a glare which could never be taken seriously coming from such a tiny frame. She mouthed 'I hate you' as she slowly turned to approach the male in black who seemed to still be looking at the seas prior to departure. Thankfully. Freya's face was rather reddened at the sudden flush mixed with a slight glaring effect aimed towards her friend. Especially when he saluted and whistled away. How dare he salutes and whistle away? Let her loose like that? Unacceptable.

Taking in some deep breaths, she let the slight sea breeze calm her down as she placed her hand together in front of her as she slowly approached the stranger, keeping her distance a bit for him to accept her company first, clearing her throat to get his attention, "May I?"

As she awaited his go-ahead she offered him a smile, and her facial features softened, "Like to stick to the sidelines I see? Hard isn't it? To blend in?"

Freya understood how he must be feeling. She was in his position a year ago. In her junior year, or so she assumed he was. It was exhausting to make friends at first but when she did, she always felt more at ease. In fact, that was what Jonas intended to do besides sending her 'social' butt into an interaction. By the snow angels, she wished her Isla was here. It was always much easier to speak when Isla was by her side when it came to communicating. That being said, she was not here... and so she must do this herself. She just hopes she won't get shut down.

keanu bahari.
Originally Keanu had been wondering if he should have looked for something to drink before going to his hiding spot along the wall. He wasn't doing much, but he was still getting used to not having the water encompassing him. He wasn't used to possibly having to deal with dehydration. He'd have to be careful. The last thing he wanted to do was cause a fuss and be sent back home...permanently.

Just the thought made him want to shudder in fear.

In the end, it was for the best he didn't have a drink in his hand, for as soon as he had muttered to himself, was there someone he'd never met standing beside him. Keanu jumped slightly, not having expected anyone to approach him. He swallowed nervously, reaching up to scratch at his neck, mind racing as he tried to focus on the words being spoken to him.

Conversation. He knew what that was. Right? Surely, he'd had conversations with people before?

"O-oh..." he stammered. How was she so collected? He was almost jealous. He wished he could remain as calm as the girl before him seemed to be when meeting new people. "Y-yeah...uh, I guess that's a good point..."

Lore...that was an interesting name, not that he would know much about the rarities of names and such. Either way, it was pretty and it suited her. "N-nice to meet you," he tried to rush out, almost forgetting to introduce himself in return. "I'm Keanu. And y-yes, it's my first time here. L-land in general." he clarified. "Um, is it yours too...?" he asked, trying to keep the conversation going. He wasn't too sure on how general pleasantries were supposed to go, but certainly showing interest in the other person was the right way to go? Especially when she'd been nice enough to approach him in the first place.

Feeling awkward, he opened his mouth, planning to say something else, only to be interrupted. Which, thankfully, was a good thing. Keanu really had no idea what he was going to say, just that it probably would've been something that made him look even more like a fool.

Having felt something run into his leg, he glanced down, furrowing his brow in confusion at the little fluff ball that had bumped into him and had now fallen back so it was against Lore. Crouching down so he could get a closer look at the creature, a small smile began to grace his features. This was a dog! Someone had a dog on this ship?! He'd heard of the four legged canine creatures, but he'd never imagined getting to meet one so soon.

"I can't believe someone was able to bring a dog here..." he sent a smile up at Lore as he carefully reached out to touch the fluffy fur. He waited a moment, letting the scared animal have a moment to sniff his hand before carefully grasping the dog around its middle and lifting it into his arms.

Turning so he was facing Lore again, he glanced at her before looking across the sea of people on the deck. "Um...you wouldn't happen to know anyone with a dog, would you?"

"Just a champagne, please." Renata muttered, trying not to take out her annoyance on the staff. It wasn't their fault she was in such a mood. It took only moments for a flute to be placed in front of her, and she sent the bartender a grateful smile. She was nothing if not polite. Sometimes.

As someone slid onto the stool next to her, she didn't think too much of it but couldn't help but grin as the other girl spoke. Lifting her flute, she took a large sip before turning and angling her legs so she could now properly face her new friend. For anyone whose first idea was to drink at a get together such as this was definitely a friend of hers.

"As if I could survive such a 'fun' time like this without a bit of help to keep me standing." she laughed back. "Renata," she introduced herself. "And yes, this is my second year here. You?" she asked, raising her glass for another sip, only to frown as she realized it was empty.

She sighed, setting it back down and pushing it to the other side of the bar to be taken away. "Least they could do is fill them up a bit more..." she grumbled. "So, other than great taste in both fashion and where to spend your time at fancy get-togethers, what do you like to do? Because let me tell you, I just got here and I'm bored out of my mind already."

She planned to wait for Nea to respond, only to be surprised by the sudden weight of a leather-clad arm wrapping around her shoulders. Renata only knew one person who would dare disturb her hair. Her best friend and 'boyfriend', Henri. Something in her relaxed at his familiar presence. "Hey you," she grinned up at him, laughing at his whispered words. "You sure know how to talk to a woman." she smirked.

As he handed her another flute, she shot him a grateful look, taking a sip before turning back to Nea with a pleased look on her face. "Henri, meet my new drinking buddy, Nea. Nea this is my boyfriend Henri." she introduced the two.

Maya
daughter of kuzco.
Maya was not a nice girl, more hatred than honey, fangs dripping venom where a sweet smile should be. Nonetheless, she had learned to be an actress at a young age, knowing when to use saccharine words and when to show her claws.

It had helped her survive her father's patriarchal kingdom, where there was no place for a daughter not yet old enough to be someone's wife, nothing but a wild animal to poke and prod until she lashed out. Her only worth was in taking care of her annoying younger brothers, viewed as future kings where she was seen as nothing but a burden.

But now, Maya had a chance. An opportunity had presented itself in the form of TeFiti Academy, a school for royals and villains alike, swarming with potential allies for Maya to use in her plan to take over her father's throne. It he wouldn't give her what was rightfully hers as oldest heir, she would take it by any means necessary. Charm was only one of her many skills, there were many things she had to offer to potential allies and she planned to make plenty of them.

Even in all her years of practice, merely being around her father made her carefully placed facade start to fall away in annoyance. He never showed interest in anything of hers, not even when her mother had been around. He was only here to rub elbows with his fellow royals and appear as a good father, though he was far from it in his daughter's eyes. They'd been on board for a matter of moments before he was abandoning her to go mingle with the other parents, unburdening her from his presence and leaving her to her own devices.

Now that she was alone, she could assess her fellow classmates and begin determining who would be worth her while. The bar seemed like the best place to start, a mix of royals and villains alike. It was a good way to test the waters, to see how they would react to her knowing only her title.

"You ladies look lovely, I hope you don't mind if I interrupt." Maya let an easy smile fall onto her lips, appearing nothing but friendly as she leaned against the bar to order a drink. "It's nice to see another latina, I was worried I'd be the only one." She winked at the woman clad in a skin-tight black dress, a tall man beside her she assumed was her boyfriend.

"Sorry, I'm completely new here, I dont have any friends yet." She pushed a curl behind her ear as she focused doe-like eyes on the two women, hoping to come across as someone unsure of themself and looking for guidance. She needed to make friends as quickly as she could, and it didn't hurt if those friends happened to be three of the most beautiful people on deck.

Arlo
Tremblay
such a pretty face
https:///www.arlo-tremblay.com/son-of-princess-aurora

The calm in the storm. What an oxymoron, right? There's nothing calm about a storm, and there was nothing calm about the lido deck that afternoon with how many students and family members swarmed. There was enough conversation that Arlo couldn't pick out one voice, it was like television static, background noise that forced its way into your attention. Yet there he stood; still, calm, silent even. While he was normally looking for attention and some kind of way to get into trouble, in this particular moment, in this brand new environment, he was okay with being a wallflower. Did it have something to do with this being his first time on his own without his parents? Probably, but Arlo was going to be the last person to admit that. To avoid thinking about it, he focused on plucking whatever bite-sized appetizers came across him from different waiters hustling around.

And it was one of those waiters that unknowingly brought Arlo his first interaction all on his own.

A girl in a pale yellow dress stumbled right in front of him. Without thinking, Arlo's arms went out to catch her, stabilize her, just help her not fall on her face if she needed it. But she seemed to catch herself, recovering remarkably well as if she never tripped in the first place. However, she seemed a little startled to be face to face with himself. Her sudden awkwardness caused a hint of a smirk to dance on his lips. He wasn't sure what this girl was going to get him into, but he was accepting to any form of interaction. Especially with such a beautiful girl in front of him.

She made some comment about not running towards him, about just trying to get crab cakes, and Arlo couldn't help but chuckle.
"Hey, I wasn't complaining if you were running to me. I'd be stupid to complain about such a beautiful woman." He sent a wink her way as the smirk grew on his face. She introduced herself as Evie, which Arlo appreciated as he did much better with names than he did with faces. "Name's Arlo; And you'd be right, I am new this year. This is my first year attending a floating school. I'm guessing you've been here before?"

Considering that it was the Farewell Festival, it only made sense that Evie would be meeting new people left and right, she just didn't expect to meet someone so handsome. The girl had made a promise to herself not to fall so easily this year, not to go with any boy who complimented her or just needed a last minute date. She needed to be more hard on herself when it came to romance and fawning and yet here she stood, a blush on her cheeks when this new boy called her beautiful.

Trying to regain her composure, the girl tucked a strand of hair behind her ear and crossed her arms, although she soon realized she looked closed off and potentially mean and let them fall to sit at her waist. "Arlo?" She repeated his name, thinking for a moment before nodding. "Got it, Arlo." She smiled sweetly. Evie was pretty good at remembering people, how could she not be when she'd had a crush on about half of the student body? Still, considering he was new, she wanted to make sure she took note of his name and face so she'd remember him later.

A floating school. She supposed he was right in calling in that, it was just a strange way in referencing the mighty ship. "Yup, the S.S. Motunui became like my second home last year." Evie admitted with a small shrug, "Most people are really nice, if you give them a chance I mean. Some aren't very forthcoming and some are downright mean and-" She stopped herself, meeting his eyes and chuckling, "Sorry, I tend to ramble when I'm nervous." Evie sighed, only to shake her head, "Not that I'm nervous now!" She quickly placed an apologetic hand on his shoulder, only for her eyes to widen and for her to pull it away just as quickly.

With a deep breath, the brunette smiled again, trying to pretend she didn't just completely lose it in talking to a new kid who didn't know her and her quirky ways. Some thought she was sweet and endearing while others found her annoying, she just hoped Arlo thought the former... Gripping both of her hands behind her back, the girl inhaled once more, "So, where are you from Arlo? Did you have to travel far to get here, I hope you enjoy your first year." Evie was almost always sincere when she spoke and this was no different, even if she was a bit nervous around him.

daughter of namaari
no amount of preparation could prepare naomi for the blow that was an ecstatic ruby hurtling toward her. and the impact nearly had her on the floor if it wasn't for namaari standing behind her to aid in her balance. but when it was restored and ruby's arms clung around her neck, naomi couldn't help but smile as she brought her em gai into a tight embrace. the reunification of the soul sisters was grander than the festival itself and it was nearly enough to knock the tears out of naomi's heart. and while the princess of fang would never allow for any to escape, tear droplets clung to the frames of her lush eyelashes as she soaked in the touch of her bestfriend. she was here, and it felt like home. and every part of her was thankful for the creation of waterproof mascara at that moment.

a small part of naomi ached when the hug ended sooner than she wanted it to, but she was able to pull herself together when ruby's touch never really left. instead, she could see ruby face to face this time as the other woman cut the embrace short and exchanged it for an arm link. it felt just like old times and the smile that was displayed on naomi's face never faltered. nothing felt better than to see her family again, especially ruby nadine heart.

a heartfelt laugh escaped from her glossed lips at her friend's obvious amount of excitement. words rushed from out of her and naomi did her best to keep up with them all. filling ruby in on her adventures aboard the S.S. Motunui was inevitable! in fact, it was one of many things that the princess of fang was looking forward to while she waited for her arrival. now, she had the chance to. and a slight blush crept up upon her perfectly tanned skin at the mention of her favorite subject: isla artagan.

"well.." isla artagan wasn't a touchy subject in the slightest. the two had grown to be fast lovers when they first met, her girlfriend being the first one to seal the deal with a kiss. just the reminder of such a beautiful woman made the butterflies in her stomach come back to life. it was a tinge of good anxiety that kept naomi riddled with excitement at the mention of her girlfriend. but now, her feelings were nearly overwhelming. the smile upon her face grew and her level of excitement surpassed a child being taken into a candy store.

"that would be my girlfriend," naomi answered sheepishly, just ever so slightly nervous to meet the eyes of ruby again before she slowly raised her head up to see her. no part of her was worried that ruby would be unaccepting, but still. even though naomi was always proud and open of her sexuality, isla would be her first real relationship since leaving her homeland. anybody would feel a sense of nervousness revealing their first anything, especially their first girlfriend.

instinctively, fang tore her attention away from ruby and scanned the crowd, looking for the familiar head of red curls that belonged to isla. and when she found her garbed in viridian talking to malakai, a look of happiness formed, almost as if finding her among the ever-growing crowd was a successful achievement.

"that's her, em gai! see?!?!" naomi added, squeezing ruby's arm gently to direct her attention to isla.

what's wrong with a little bit of fun?

https:///www.cecelia-facilier.com/daughter-of-the-shadow-man

Most people would be phased by Maleficent's snap, but Cecelia Facilier was not most people. She had come to know Maleficent's demeanor through befriending Mallory, and always found it entertaining to see her reaction to her butt-kissing. Of course Cece didn't think that highly of Maleficent, she didn't really think that highly of anyone, truly. Maybe other than one or two of her close friends, but never another adult. Cece never felt fear of Maleficent, when most people did. In fact, other's fear of Maleficent was what drew her to befriend Mallory.

At first, Cece just wanted to be where everyone's attention was, and last year everyone was talking about Maleficent's daughter and how terrifying she must be. Cece wanted her on her side. However, what started as an elaborate plan to acquire more power and connections very quickly turned into a genuine friendship Cece didn't realize she needed. Both girls were feared on the surface, but when they came together, there was no judgement between them. Mallory was the one person she felt she could be herself around, she knew Mal would never hurt her or judge her for her past.

Nobody knew her better than Mal, so it caused Cece's eyes to roll when she her best friend suggested the reason of her bringing up the captain's son was because he was attractive.

"How shallow do you think I am?" Cece scoffed at the idea. As if she would stoop so low to focus on the looks of some boy. "Please, I didn't point him out because he's cute, I pointed him out because he's the captain of the ship's boy." As she lowered her voice to keep the scheming between just the two of them, her accent somehow seemed to ring out more. "He's the perfect way to get through to Moana. Think about it, she's the Captain of the ship. If anyone is in the boy's favor, they're in HER favor," She tried to lead Mal to arrive at the same line of thinking that she cooked up herself, keeping her eyes locked on the rumored son.

Maleficent made a comment about rats looking better than him, and Cece felt herself stifle a giggle out of instinct. She had grown so used to trying to meld to fit into a mold that everyone liked, she didn't even realize that she didn't really find it funny. She took the moment to look at the boy Isla was talking to. Cece certainly didn't think he was bad looking, he shared a lot of features to his mother & he had that sunkissed glow that most of the girls on the ship would fawn for as soon as they laid eyes on him.

cute, not my type though. Cece thought to herself. The captain's son looked too good, and if Cece knew anything about herself, it was that she wasn't good. If it ever came out that Dr Facilier had a daughter, she would be hunted down and thrown onto the Isle; some days she wishes that would've happened instead of her having to survive on her own in the streets. But Cecelia wasn't a good person, she didn't deserve good, she deserved the life of a villain. And what was excluded from the life of a villain? Falling for the goody goody boys of the world.

It perfectly explained her current love life, dating the bad boy from hell. That's not an expression, Cecelia was literally dating the son of Hades himself, Damien. Very few people thought it was out of the blue, but there were a good handful of people who saw they made perfect sense. While Cecelia had never fully disclosed her powers or how she got them, everyone knew she had powers. Everyone knew she had spirits on her side & she could speak people's fates into existence. That paired with powers from hell, it made sense that they went hand in hand. Damien and Cecelia were the villainous power couple that she always knew she was going to end up in.

"I mean come on," Cece did her best to peel her eyes away from the boy and back to scanning the crowd. "It's senior year, don't you want to cause a little bit of mischief?"

https:///www.ruby-nadine-heart.com/daughter-of-raya

Ruby felt her heart soar, it was as if she was complete again with the reunion of her and Naomi. The daughters of Kumandra, as she had heard people call them. Their friendship was something new, something that hadn't been seen since before the Druun; Two daughters of different clans being as close as they were, it was almost seen with their mothers before the dragon gem was split into pieces.

Yea... that's a time that they don't talk about a lot.

But with as close as Ruby and Naomi grew as they grew up together, people speculated if they were both blessed by a dragon, it would only make sense. It wasn't a joke when the duo was referred to as soul sisters, they truly were. Over the past year, Ruby never felt whole; there was always an unexplainable exhaustion and sadness that weighed on her heart, even if the smallest bit. Sure, the two talked over the phone very often & Ruby never went a day without constantly updating her em gai, but not even face time was the same as what she was feeling in person.

After almost tackling Naomi, Ruby gave a small wave to chief Namaari; She was normally much more polite to her Tiya, but she had seen her on a regular basis, she was all about Naomi right then and there.

Ruby's smile somehow got even cheesier when Naomi's face seemed to redden at the mention of Isla. Of course Ruby was going to immediately ask about the other special someone in her em gai's life, she was so used to being the most special someone in Naomi's life; So while she tried to not let her jealousy get the best of her, she figured the next best thing was to make an effort to get to know this person. Whoever they may be.

When Naomi mentioned that Isla was her girlfriend, Ruby's eyes widened in excitement. She had known longer than anyone that Naomi was bisexual, and it never once changed how she felt about her em gai. What really got her was the word girlfriend. It was Naomi's first real relationship! A small part of her felt a pang of hurt, upset that she hadn't been around to witness it happening and be there for Naomi as the relationship became official, but this wasn't about her, this was about Naomi. Everything about Naomi lit up when she mentioned Isla, in a way that Ruby hadn't ever seen before.

Naomi's eyes left Ruby's, beginning to search the crowd for the infamous Isla & Ruby's eyes did the same. And just in case anybody else needed anymore proof of the girls being soul sisters, as soon as Naomi began pointing out Isla, Ruby's eyes landed on a head of bright red hair that cascaded into beautiful curls along her back. Naomi squeezed her arm, asking if she could see her & Ruby squeezed back.

"Em gai, she's beautiful! Oh my goodness," The more they talked about Isla, the harder it was getting for Ruby to stomach her jealousy. But she had to, for Naomi, she looked so happy & Ruby was always happy when Naomi was happy! "When can you introduce us? I wanna meet her as soon as possible!" Ruby felt herself squeeze Naomi tighter in excitement. "You can tell me how you two met and came to fall in loooove," she teased in a sing-songy voice. "tonight when we have our first sleep over since you moved away! It'll be just like old times!"

chancellor moana

Princess and Chancellor Moana gives a brief welcoming speech to the guests who attended the Farewell Festival.

the long-awaited day had finally come. her vision of a better educational environment started out as just sketches on a piece of paper and now her work was unfolding in front of her every new school year. and while the motunui cruise liner and the TeFiti academy have been around for a few years now, the joy she felt in her heart never faltered. every year was joyous for her because every year welcomed new faces. a new generation that had the potential to blossom with just the right amount of encouragement.

this year, however, was different. this was the first year that the academy officially opened its arms to more than just the royal families. many questioned moana's wisdom and sanity for even considering it, but the princess and chancellor wouldn't budge on her decision to let villains and sidekicks aboard. prejudice wasn't a term in her vocabulary nor was she raised to treat others with it, no matter their environment. so it was only a matter of time before she would leap at the chance to publicize her faith in the opportunity to change lives, even those who's parentage dampened their credibility.

now, her hopes and dreams stood in front of her at the commencement of the first desegregated school year. she got to shake hands and share laughs with students and parents from different kingdoms, isles, and villages. the crowd was evergrowing it seemed and her trademark smile beamed at the sight of it. it was exactly how she pictured it. and what better way to share her joyous emotion than with a festival?

cascading salt and pepper hair bounced down her back, even with every soft step she took on her way to the podium. she used a freshly manicured hand to tug at the silk fabric of her dress to make sure she didn't step on it while a gloved one belonging to a staff member occupied the other to aid her up the steps.
slight nerves coursed throughout her body as she gently tapped the mic before speaking, and they only grew throughout her chest when the sound caused all eyes on her.

"good afternoon, everyone!," as much as she was nervous, her voice didn't falter, and a natural authoritative yet friendly tone took over. "as many of you may already know, i am chancellor moana. and i would just like to take a few minutes to thank everyone for attending the farewell festival."

"for years, i've been granted the opportunity to share this educational journey with all of these.. amazing students, and i feel that it's important to acknowledge their hard work and dedication, as well as their perseverance throughout the school year. i recognize a few faces in the crowd today, returning students to be more precise, and i really want to give them a round of applause. however, i would also like for everyone to not only applaud the seniors, but to applaud the incoming class." the burning sensation below her cheekbones reminded moana of just how much she had been smiling today. while the main deck erupted in an array of cheers and loud claps, her gaze fell upon her son malakai for a moment and she couldn't help but give him a softer smile, a motherly one.

moana waited for the celebratory behavior to die down before speaking again, "please.. let's take the time today to revel in each other's accomplishments as well as celebrate the beginning of these students' new year aboard the S.S. Motunui. the staff here is to cater to your needs and i will be available all throughout the event for any questions or comments. i look forward to meeting everyone... thank you." the cheerful commemoration resumed and the chancellor began to walk off the stage, immediately inundated with students and parents.

son of moana
malakai listened to her words carefully, letting the anxiety that was once rising into his ribs fall back at the bottom of his stomach. it was true, his heart dropped once he had saw samuel again. his presence stroked a core memory that reignited stagnant feelings, ones that easily plagued his mind and stole his attention away from his newfound company. he had to remind himself to relax once more, letting his shoulders drop slightly and unclenching his jaw that carried so much tension. the farewell festival was about family, friendships, and new beginnings, not history. and malakai refused to allow the guilt to resurface and swallow him whole in the middle of this swarmed deck. there was a time and a place for it, and now was not one of them.

feeling his charming demeanor return, her comment elicited an instant smile, one that was more relaxed and far less forced than it had been previously. aside from the flirty nature that they both shared, something about her company made him feel comfortable and relaxed. she wasn't pushy nor was she overwhelming, and he appreciated the serenity she was sharing with him.

his name sounded pleasant coming from such an alluring tone as hers, and he couldn't help but feel a sense of attraction to it. she had a way with her words such as he did, and it was a game that he enjoyed playing. it wasn't often that they flirted back so effortlessly and malakai thought of it was refreshing. i definitely have to see you again, he couldn't help but think. it was almost enough to take away from the fact that she had brought up the possibility of being the chancellor's son.

almost wasn't enough, however, and a part of malakai seeped with disappointment as a scoff escaped from his grin. it was inevitable that someone would eventually ask him that, and he had mentally prepared himself for those dreaded questions before making his way onto the main deck, but he couldn't help but feel a blow in his mood that it was asked so soon. if he could lie, he would have.

just before speaking, malakai's words were stolen from his mouth when moana took the stage. he turned in the direction of his mother and emitted respect for what she had to say, clapping along when she encouraged celebratory behavior and returned the grin she had flashed his way. when all was done, he turned back to isla and nodded at her previous statement.

"yep, that would be me." he tried his best to mask his feelings but being labeled as just "the rumored son" made him question what all circulated before his arrival. it was clear he had already been talked about before boarding and he couldn't help but wonder just how long it would take him to be free from princess moana's shadow. never, possibly. "and since we're talking parents, i'm gonna take a safe guess and say that you are merida's daughter?" as much as uncertainty and question lingered in his tone, isla seemed to be a spitting image of the well-known princess. it didn't take advanced knowledge to recognize the similarities between the two and it made malakai interested in knowing if his assumption was right or wrong.

While Thea really had no intention of leaving the dorm room that had been assigned to her, she'd also never miss an opportunity to show off a new outfit, especially one of her own design. Picking at the fabric and cutting off a few loose ends, the brunette looked at herself in the mirror, frowning and crossing her arms. Something about her look was off and she couldn't place what it was. Maybe it was the fact that her father would have a heart attack if he saw what she was wearing, that made a small smile form on her lips.

In the end, she decided it was missing a 'wow' piece and that was how small bejewled hearts found their way onto the skirt. "Perfect." She sighed as contently as she could manage. Even though she knew the Farewell Festival was mandatory, that didn't make her want to skip out any less... Regardless though, the last thing she wanted was a phone call made to her father before the ship even left port. He'd be furious. Then again, it wasn't like his anger was something she hadn't dealt with before.

After fluffing up her large curls and applying lip gloss, she slid on a pair of sandals and left the dorm, heading up to the main deck where everyone was already mingling and talking. That was the price of being fashionably late after all. Just as she grabbed a glass of sparkling... something, what looked to be the principal, or as she called herself, the chancellor, began speaking. Thea had heard stories of Moana's brave journey to save her island and restore the heart of Te'Fiti, so she wouldn't be too disrespectful, at least not this early on.

As the short speech finished, so did Thea with her drink. She clapped her hands softly just as those around her did, only to roll her eyes and stop as it came to a close. While Thea was technically alone, she decided to people watch. Looking over the students and parents who had come aboard for the festival. Some of them she could pick out as heroes or villains, telling her who to stay away from and who to befriend, others though she couldn't place and those were who intrigued her the most.

ANDRI

Andri leaned on the railing, feeling perfectly content to leave the party at his back and stare out over the waves. The gentle motion soothed him, and he found he could finally breathe again properly since coming onto the deck.

The anxiety didn't leave completely, though, and he kept glancing over his shoulder to make sure everyone was in their places, far away from him.

He congratulated himself for blending into the background so well. Even the staff, who were mingling with the students and parents and offering hors d'oeuvres, didn't seem to notice him.

Unfortunately, he seemed to have rejoiced too soon. The next glance over his shoulder revealed a pair who had certainly not been there before. He saw the shorter and more redheaded of the two turn his way, and he quickly flicked his eyes back to the water. Eye contact was on his top ten things to avoid list.

He couldn’t stop his gaze from returning to them, though. It was his nature to watch from the sidelines. They appeared to be arguing about something, and then the male pushed the other in his direction.

His breath caught in his chest as he saw her out of the corner of his eye making her way over to join him. Suddenly the water surrounding the boat was the most fascinating thing he’d ever seen.

β€œMay I?” Her voice penetrated his focus, and what could he do? He should at least try his best to socialise. It was what was expected of him.

He tilted his head, acknowledging her question and inviting her to join him by the rail. She followed up her question with a comment about it being hard to blend into the background.

β€œWell, I thought I wasn’t doing too shabby until you came along,” he replied. β€œYou picked me out within minutes of arriving on deck.” He raised his eyebrows slightly, unsure why it felt so easy to talk to this complete stranger. β€œHave I finally met my match? I’ll have to brush up on my camouflaging skills this year.”

However, the brief ease he had felt quickly fled at the sound of the heavy footfalls of panic. He had answered her questions, now to further the conversation, he should come up with something of his own. How did one converse with people? He began to sweat as the silence that he was supposed to fill stretched out.

Thankfully, he was saved as Chancellor Moana rose to give a small speech. He could breathe easy for another few minutes until she was done with her discourse.
