Imagine a little bunny sitting in a ring of thorns - that bunny is Lex. He's not a bad person, but he's rather defensive, and this wary nature leads to him sometimes coming across as cold. Sarcasm is one of his main defenses, and he is brutally honest, finding no reason to beat around the bush or sugarcoat things. He's a little on the quiet side and is rather distant, but he does have a good sense of humor and is very loyal once someone peels away a few rocky layers. Although a little blunt and not the best at comforting people, he's always willing to listen to a friend's problems, and will offer a shoulder to cry on. Only once someone makes it past his rough exterior, though. Any time before that, and they'll be brushed off by a very uncomfortable Lex before he darts away to escape the situation. He doesn't put much effort into his schoolwork, but is a lot smarter than he lets on. He just doesn't think school is a worthy use of his intelligence. (Pranks are a much more worthy use, as far as he's concerned.) He has never quite fit the social standard, what with his obsession with horror and fondness for graveyards. He's a good person at heart, he really is, but he's been through some messed up things in his lifetime and that led to him distancing himself from people. Someone just needs to get past the first few layers, and they'll uncover a truly wonderful person.
Appearance:
Lex is almost startling petite, standing at approximately 5'4 and possessing a thin figure. He has a slender waist and his shoulders are the opposite of broad, with long limbs and slim fingers, resulting in a willowy physique. He has a mess of black hair that sits atop his head, rarely cooperating and sticking up in all directions - though he doesn't put much effort into it in the first place. His skin isn't pale nor tan, sitting somewhere in between the two ends of the spectrum, though it leans towards the former. He has large eyes that are a lovely shade of cloudy blue, framed by ebony eyelashes. He has almost impish features, with an upturned nose and thin lips. With a heart shaped face and large ears, he possess an a youthful appearance.

+ Lex lives with his single father, Daniel, while his uncle, Dan, co-parents and acts as the bridge between Daniel and Lex, who have grown distant in the past few years. (Yes, Daniel and Dan are twins. Their mother became a little obsessed with matching pairs after they were born. Their old scrapbooks are Exhibit A in that trial.)
+ Samantha, Lex's mother, passed away when the boy was eleven. Though he was never the most outgoing boy, the traumatizing event that led to her death resulted in him becoming more aloof.
+ Lex has a pet dog named Cujo who he absolutely adores. It's a giant, strong, pitch black Great Dane who is extremely loyal to his owner. Unfortunately, this loyalty also leads to the dog being very protective.
+ Art is Lex's passion, there's no denying that. He spends a lot of his spare time painting, and the majority of his clothes have stains from some paint brand or another on them.
+ Lex greatly enjoys spending time at the graveyards, a habit that many people think is strange. He's always reasoned that it's a quiet and nice place to study, and he likes paying respect to the neglected graves. Many feel like he's practically asking to be murdered by lingering in a graveyard after dark, but he's never felt like he was in danger.
