Realistic or Modern Deception and Perception

Hunter was eating, but stopped long enough to check his phone, his message from the boss and Virgil. "Well well well, the boss is getting a little cocky now that we turned one over." Hunter gave a smug look to the phone. Then he read Virgil's message and a smile crossed his face, Everything according to plan. "So, what did your morning message say?" Hunter said as he continued to eat his pancakes, barely savoring any bites, but swallowing with a ferocity.

He didn't really know where he was or what was happening but as he attempted to look around a sharp pain shot through the side of his mouth causing him to freeze in place. It was at that moment he realised that his mouth was gagged with something, it's taste wasn't exactly pleasant which he then attributed to sweat but also knew trying to clear his mouth would only cause more pain so he used his eyes which were having a hard time focusing to look around the room. It wasn't well kept and looked is if it were some kind of garage though there wasn't much else - until he realised there was someone sitting right in front of him who he swiftly frowned at before letting out a sort of questioning "Mmmffffmm" from behind the socks in his mouth, his face showing obvious signs of irritation though he kept his cool for now, it was rare indeed when Joel panicked as he just never saw the point in it.

Virgil would just silently stare at the struggling man going through Joel's phone right in front of him still holding the small SMG loosely pointed in his direction. "Interesting find I have here, seems you were the stalker type before the Syndicate. Now you're a stalker who gets paid for it." Virgil said this his mohawk was hanging to the right covering one eye leaving only one exposed. That piercing green eye staring into Joel as he said this. He already had the mans phone which had plenty of information on it, he was going back in forth in his mind if he should kill him now or later. Virgil shrugged standing up aiming to Magpaul to Joel's right foot switching it to single fire. Then would shoot him in the foot still staring at him. His eyes unwavering evaluating if the man before him is even worth living to begin with. He was an ugly bastard, but who was Virgil to judge everyone had their own opinions. There he goes again mind going into random places thinking of stupid things. Virgil would put the phone in his pocket reaching forward with his left hand pointing the gun at Joel's groin area as he slowly pulled out a sock. Then removing another leaving the wire on however and the force from when he forced it out would splice the back of his neck, not to deep but a centimeter at best. One of those annoying cuts as if you went against a pointed edge to fast, how ever the wire was rusted. Hopefully Joel got his tetanus shot. "So Joel, tell me what you know." Would say this after the man got any screams of pain out the way. I mean he was just shot in the foot.

Taking out her phone, she opened the message and began reading it out, "Dear Natalie, please re-establish yourself with your fellow Syndicate members, it seems we have a breach in our security, any rogue members WILL be taken out. Sylvia is in trouble, AGENT CODE 327, please refer to us when you have found her. Agents will be sent out soon to help deal with the problem, attack The Zeppelin with discretion."

"They want you to re-establish yourself with them?" Hunter began to worry, wondering whether she would follow orders. "So, what are you going to do?" He picked at his food nervously.

During Virgil's first comment he simply rolled his eyes until he felt a bullet pass through his foot "MMMFFFHH" was all he could blurt out before shivering a little, this guy was clearly not quite right - but he could hardly talk. As the socks were removed and the wire dug in he winced, his eyes closing a little before considering his options. Eyeing where the gun was pointing he wasn't sure if taking that risk... "You know, there's one thing you overlooked..." he noted before lowering his voice more deep and monotone "I'm batman." is all he said, the wire cutting in onto the sides of his mouth causing it to trickle down in steady streams like some sort of vampire. The pain didn't really bother him, he just wanted to die without cracking - he just needed to keep that hope burning inside him, focus on anything but the pain so Joel started to zone out, pretending he wasn't even there... He was flying through the clouds without a care in the world, the wind brushing against his face... But a throbbing was emanating from his neck, shoulder, mouth and foot - it was warm but strange, he continued regardless

"It's a general text, they send it with everyone. But, you're taking care of Joel and Sylvia is God knows where.." Natalie sighed, "I dunno what to do.."

Virgil would shrug hearing his comment swinging with a cross-strike to the wounded shoulder pounding it viciously, and with Virgil's strength and technique the shoulder would easily pop out of place to add to the searing pain. He'd then aim at the mans other foot shooting the lefty his eyes haven't changed. It was like looking at a dead man then he spoke in a dark and analytically voice. He'd then start to make his way behind Joel pulling down on the wire hooking it into the chains wrapping his body up twisting the ends so it'd loop around and go back to itself, only causing the cuts to go deeper and now Joel's head would be cocked back in a very uncomfortable position. He was mindset on making this man break and in doing so he'd make his way in front of Joel again, reaching down to grab his shoe tossing it in the air. He'd then swing with a half rotation at the hips to smack Joel dead in his adam's apple with a large amount of force though not enough to kill him. "I'm going to make adam's apple juice if you decide to keep playing these games." Virgil said softly with a certain malice to it.

Joel's breaths were shaky and it was clear that he was in a great deal of pain even though he was completely zoned out, ordinarily he'd have been screaming at this point but he knew how to work the mind and for now was using his brain like an anesthetic. With his head tilted back an idea sprung into his mind and he simply smiled - slicing deeper into the skin around his mouth and letting the blood run down his throat causing him to splutter and choke, he then began to laugh quietly between the choking, so close to escape he thought... All he needed was a trail into either lung to asphyxiate himself then all the pain would stop. He imagined flying closer and closer towards a glowing orb in the distance which beamed happily at him, reaching out his hand he could feel the inviting warmth dance across his skin.

"We don't have to do anything. Virgil, Feitan, and Chase will deal with things, they won't mind me keeping an eye on you.". Hunter was nervous, "What do you think is the best course of action." Hunter picked at his food, cautious of her answer.

Virgil already knew of the mans plan, seeing as this wasn't the first person he tortured they always tried to use death over anything. Too bad he was prepared for this and would undo his work with the wiring kicking the chair forward, the wire would pop off Joel's face with this however he'd suffer a daze from the sudden force to his face. In this state he'd most likely pass out, giving him the illusion that he actually did die and was safe. But no this was only the beginning of it all, Virgil's mind started to wonder once again as he drew the lighter from his pocket. He knows exactly what he'd do once the poor man woke up. But until then he'd lay down a few feet away his head near Joel's but a safe distance away he'd start whispering. "There is no escape." He said to the possibly unconscious man.

"Well..what did your text say? Don't you have stuff to do?" Looking at him, she finished her pancakes and sat her fork down, leaning back against the chair.

Something clicked in Hunter's mind, "What is Agent Code 327?" He looked at the girl. "The boss wants us to go on the offensive, apparently keep someone named Sylvia hidden, and interrogate Joel." Hunter sounded bored, more interested in the girl.

"Agent code 327.." She thought for a moment, then her mind clicked, "Oh, that?...It's just Sylvia's code, we all have numbers.... Wait, you don't have Sylvia?"

"No, the Articulated has them. We saw her being taken by one of their agents." Hunter explained calmly, he didn't care for the girl. "She was completely unconscious being carried out of the building.".

"Oh shit, I thought you did..and so do they." She rubbed her head, "I hope she's alright..only spoken to her once or twice but she's one of our best...and Joel? What's happening to him?" Natalie looked concerned, even though she barely knew her fellow members, she still cared for them, they were still a family, a team.

Suddenly he fell, the sky shot away along with the golden light as he smacked face first into the dark depth of the floor - or in reality, he smacked face first against a concrete floor and was now creating a pool of blood around his nose from the unconscious state he was in, not enough to drown him of course.

"Natalie don't worry, everyone in these businesses are still human, they have to live with themselves. Joel is with Virgil, believe he is locked up, just so he wont cause any trouble." Hunter was concerned for her, "You ok sweetheart?". Hunter got up and took their plates to the sink, washing the dishes as he watched her.

"Y..Yeah.." She rubbed her head, "Just...forgot how real this is, y'know? They know somethin' is up..there's..hardly any of us left.. They're getting paranoid, and believe me, when they get paranoid, they go ape sh*t..."

"You know I wont let them touch you." Hunter said this as he turned towards the sink, "The Zeppelin has been getting smaller too, seems as though this business rivalry is coming to its peak.". Hunter sighed as he shut off the sink, "I just don't know if I will be content with just the money when it ends, I mean what have I got out of this?".

"Experience, I guess." She looked at him, "I mean..as much as I hated it, when I was younger I loved it. It was..like being in a video game or something, at least I was actually doing something for someone than just sitting in a street corning begging like I did every other day. I didn't really have a choice."

"Well as you've seen I am more of a talker, then someone who would throw a punch or rob a bank." Hunter look around his house, "Really haven't got much out of this, just some money. Well that and lately I got this girl, I don't know if you know her.." Hunter was awake now, his real nature coming out, trying to forget the old conversation. "Her name is Natalie, heard of her?".

Natalie smirked, "Hm...Natalie? Can you jog my memory, what's she like?" Raising an eyebrow and thinning her eyes slightly, he waited for a reply.

Chase suddenly felt Sylvia's phone vibrate, he thought it could be one of his other phones and forgot Virgil gave it to him. When he looked at it he was confused but when his eyes suddenly widened he got an idea. Chase pulled out his work phone and sent a text to Hunter: Ask your girlfriend where the Syndicate members will meet up. Chase suddenly went to his closet and into a secret he puts all his past disguises. 'I love this closet,' he thought and started rummaging through it as he waited for Hunter's reply.

Hunter sent a message to Chase, "Ill get to it.". He looked back to Natalie. "Oh that seems fairly easy," Hunter smiled and pulled up a chair right in front of her, knees almost touching. "Well she has wonderful red hair that looks absolutely stunning whether she spent hours on it or just woke up," At this Hunter lifted his hand and brushed a piece of her hair from her face. "Natalie also has the most wonderfully formed body, she looks as though she should be on cover photos on every magazine. Uhm, she also has a soft voice that could make any man's heart melt. She is sweet, caring, and hopefully.." Hunter looked at her in the eyes, "She falls in love as easy as others." Hunter then dropped the look and smiled, "But all of that falls in comparison to her eyes, the beautiful green eyes, the ones that can stun any man. The eyes that if you ever woke up next to them, then you knew that is how you would want to wake up everyday.". Hunter's voice started off in a cheerful tone, but now it was sincere and soft. He took her hand with both of his, his eyes still towards the ground, just enjoying her presence.
