important info.
ugh, codes?
format
Codes are pretty to look at and organised but are definitely not required, nor will it influence my decision. You can format the application in any way you see fit, or even include others details as long as the stuff to the left is somewhere within your character's app! Keep scrolling buddy, there is more.
but there is zombies?
realism
Yes, yes, yes I know this roleplay isn't completely realistic with the inclusion of zombies. However, I ask that all characters are grounded in reality and aren't some superheroes capable of being good at everything that exists. Where is the excitement in that?
#nomarysues
persona
If there is one part I would love for you to pour your time into, its the persona section. I want complex and flawed characters who will make mistakes. I want to understand your character and their motives and drives. For some people I know this section can be hard but try envision your character is multiple scenarios (e.g., how they act around friends, when under pressure, how they act alone, their inner thoughts).
I really don't want to see stereotypes or tropes that are rife throughout media. There is no harm in starting with one but adding your own spin on it!

same guy, different fonts
diversity
Would love to see some diversity in all aspects (e.g., ethnicity, sexuality, personality, appearance, occupations) and do not want the same carbon copies of characters with slightly different changes. Not only is not representative of the real world, it is frankly boring when character's don't have any friction.
google = friend
sensitivity
Now, if you want your character to be a local, they are most likely going to be of some Polynesian descent. Therefore, some research might be required! The term "Polynesian" encompasses different groups of people who are native to Polynesia (these include Samoans, Tongans, Niueans, Cook Islands MΔori, Tahitian MΔ'ohi, Hawaiian MΔoli, Marquesans and New Zealand MΔori). Avoid stereotypes and write characters that aren't solely based on these traits. I will not tolerate blatant stereotypes of people of colour, queer people or butchering of one's culture.
think about the children!
npcs
Since we are starting at the beginning of it all, I'm assuming that your character won't be alone β unless everyone is lone wolves. Do they have a family, friends or even a romantic partner that came on their holiday or live on the island? To absolve this, you're able to make your own NPCs, or rather "side characters" that don't need their own character applications. You will be in control of them but do keep in mind they might not survive, or at the very least I'm going to make it difficult for them to escape unscathed. As the roleplay progresses, you're more than welcome to create more NPCs/side characters that the survivors will come across. But don't worry if you want to just focus on your own character, I'll be making interesting and engaging NPCs/side characters that will be roaming the island for your characters to encounter!
other tidbits.
Almost there, thank you for bearing with me, I know this is a lot of info to take in! Below is any other information that didn't fit in above:
You can create up to two main characters! Go crazy with the side characters (well not literally, keep it realistic).
Give your characters room to grow! Nothing is more enthralling than a character who is moulded and shaped with what is thrown at them.
If there are too many applications, I will have to make the difficult decision to choose the most fitting for the setting/story. Please keep this in mind!
