Fandom DC Universe: Age of Heroes (Rebooted)

Hey, Vandy, are we allowed to have more than 1 character? Because, I might make another guy...Maybe one positioned in Starling City...? ((Not the Arrow. At least, not yet.))

Yep, overview says everyone can apply for a second character after their third IC post. Look at the rules section. Like I am probably going to do Aquaman for my second.

Alright, I THINK I should be safe to make my next character after my next post...My next post will be the end of my first solo arc, and will include Thaal's official origins to being a yellow lantern. Well, besides the actual "obtain the ring" part.

So I'll try to get another post up by tomorrow. I'll be gone for most of the weekend so don't expect anything Saturday or Sunday.

Wow, that's quite a few IC posts I need to read. Everyone seems to have posted today.
I'm coming out with another post soon, so you better have your eyeballs ready while catching up.

I'm not getting another out today. And maybe not tomorrow either. I'm still rearranging my mental plans. I had a good idea in the shower this morning. :D

Character: Unit Z-8 , known as Zeta

Age: Actually 41, but it's been 13 years since he's disconnected from the system and become his own 'person'.

robot.jpg

Powers/Abilities:

Small Lasers- not innately weaponry; intended purpose is drilling. The lasers extend from his shoulders

Strong Body- Zeta can safely lift 350 lbs. and lift up to 500 at serious risk to himself. This also applies to his punches, able to deliver impacts with 175 lbs. of force safely and 250 at serious risk to himself.

NSA Database- He has access to all NSA data files up to September 9, 2003. This allows him to observe and classify some suspects and play media files.

Metal Man- Zeta's body is stronger than the average human, it can deflect most knives and small caliber firearms.

Increased Stamina- Zeta's robotic joints and servos allow him to run faster and jump higher.

Weaknesses: Very Vulnerable to EMPs and other anti-electric devices. EMPs have the ability to completely disable his systems for roughly an hour. Also, shock devices are more dangerous than blunt weapons or firearms. While his body is shock-resistant, there's only so much it can do.

Backstory/orgins: Zeta was designed by German-American scientists that had the goal of creating the perfect spy. The fruit of their research were the Z Class Units. Zeta was the eighth prototype to be sent into the field and deemed 'highly successful'. However, after his 23rd operation, Zeta began to hesitate in his assassinations. He knew he was still loyal to the great Americans and willing to fight the traitorous Commies, but Zeta began to worry if his targets deserved to die. After failing to kill his next target, Zeta was believed to be captured and reprogrammed. Several NSA agents were dispatched to 'rescue' Zeta and reinstall his base programming. He spent osme time on the run, travelling by train and foot to avoid detection, keeping away from law enforcement. Soon enough, he made it to Central. Currently, Zeta is realizing how there are many that need to be reeducated before the commies and uses various personas to do so. He lives in Central City under one of the city's busier bridges and knows little about the world around him.

Arc Ideas:

Render Unto Caesar

Agent Caesar Romero is tasked with hunting down Zeta and classifies him as a Level 8 Threat. Agent Caesar is prepared to murder, harass, and intimidate anyone he needs to in order to remove Zeta from the equation. Zeta feels morally obligated to save those Caesar is putting into harm's way even at the risk of his own life. However, there may be darker forces at play

Deus Ex Machina

Zeta is ready to start working for himself and those around him to begin helping the world. Is Star City really okay with a robotic savior? His lack of Human emotion and idioms doesn't make it any easier.

Okay Deadkool, you need to expand on your sheet. We barely get any idea of what your character is about.

More backstory, expand on the powers, and expand on the weaknesses. That is one very obscure DC character. Took me awhile to remember who it was. And then I just gave up and googled him.

I'm falling so behind! I'm so sorry guys. Ugh! [emoji37] [emoji21] [emoji30]

Well, if only having two posts is falling behind, then I'm right there with you. :) 'Specially because I wont have time to write today.

Here's my alt character signup.

Character: Oliver Queen/The Arrow(Hasn't adopted the Green Arrow persona or outfit yet. The only things he has so far in that line is the bow and the mask.)

Age: 23

Appearance:

arrow.png

Powers/Abilities:

1. Bow-Once an old, wooden, normal styled bow, Oliver now uses a metal one with a more durable string. He bought it with Queen Tech funds.

2. Look At All These Toys-A variety of trick arrows, from the basic rebounds and boxing glove arrows, to the advanced Speed-Force blockers(which he'll base off of the hero of Central City) and exploding arrows. (Currently only has his normal arrows and boxing glove arrows. Next target it a plunger one that can be used as a grapple.) He also has a jet being commissioned(Currently being worked on, reason not specified) and has a voice disguise device(He'll start out with this, it's useful for when he has to protect people that he knows, yet hasn't revealed the secret to them yet).

3. Martial Arts-His time on the island with Slade Wilson helped him learn advanced martial arts, and he learns more with Queen Tech's monetary help.

Weaknesses:

1. I'm Just Too Good-Oliver, like Bruce Wayne, happens to overestimate his talents as the Arrow. Even when injured, he continues to fight, resulting in further injury.

2. I'm Not Obsessed-Oliver spent thousands to get an underground lab in Queen Industries, and is currently devoting most of his free time to being the Arrow. It gets even worse when a bigger event is happening in Starling. He also used the Queen family business' funding to get his custom-made suit and bow designed.

3. Loner-I am beginning to notice a pattern here, about the Arrow being like Batman. Anyway...Like Batman, the Arrow doesn't put much trust into anyone, and is slow to even start trusting people. The only people he trusts right now are Felicity Smoak and John Diggle. This can put him at odds with even other heroes.

4. Human-Wow, I should have just copied and pasted and then edited Bruce's weaknesses. He is, like Batman, a hero with the absence of powers. This means he isn't immune to anything specially, and thus, can be killed by anything that would kill a normal guy.

Backstory/orgins:

(Told from Oliver's perspective)

My name is Oliver Queen, owner of Queen Industries. I was stranded on an island for 5 years, with seemingly no one except John Diggle, my bodyguard, with me. While exploring the island, I met someone who had been there for 2 years; Slade Wilson, my current worst enemy and ex-friend. He taught me how to use a bow and arrow, and many martial arts. We then fought the wild together, me, Slade and Diggle. We also came across some...Less friendly natives, specifically Ra's Al Ghul's League of Assassins.

Eventually, a rescue crew arrived, in the form of Ray Palmer(whom I have not revealed the secret to in present day), and Felicity Smoak. The rescue boat seemed to have been sabotaged, as it wouldn't start up again once they arrived. As Ray Palmer started fixing the rusty bucket of bolts, I sneaked into the Assassins' fortress, only to be captured because Felicity broke my cover. There, they revealed that they had also captured Felicity, and had captured Slade's old love as well. There, I had to make a choice between Felicity's life...Or Slade's girlfriend's life. They threatened that, if I tried anything 'funny,' they'd shoot them both. I chose Felicity, and Slade's girlfriend was shot. Escaping, I told Slade about what happened, and he snapped.

After an encounter with Slade, now Deathstroke, for my life, I overheard the League saying they had "plans" for Starling City. So now, Felicity, Ray and Diggle at my side, I'm heading home to Starling with one goal; To save my city.

I have come to dread my time on the island, but in a way, it helped me become someone else...Something else.

Arc ideas:

1. Right On Target-Shootouts are happening between mobs all over Starling City. Oliver, using a suit designed by Felicity Smoak, goes and fights the mobs. Defeating them, Oliver gets information from one of the leaders that their mob is working with the League of Assassins. Meanwhile, Felicity gets into a hacker war with an unknown opponent.

2. Aim and Fire-Oliver starts gathering information of a murderer shooting people with arrows on rooftops. Encountering a rooftop shooter, he finds that it wasn't the correct target, and the real archer is still somewhere out in the world. Meanwhile, Ray Palmer figures out Oliver is the Arrow, and doesn't know how to confront him about it.

3. The Dark Past of Felicity Smoak-When a hacker who's symbol is a DNA design hacks into the power plant, Oliver heads out to investigate. The hacker claims that his next target is Starling International, causing a riot at the bank that Oliver has to interrupt. Meanwhile, Ray confronts Oliver about knowing he's the Arrow, and Felicity starts having flashbacks to her time before Oliver, remembering her time as a hacker.

Nobody is falling behind. Diamond, did you name one of your arcs the same thing as Vandy's Superman?

Oops. I guess I should change the name. TIME FOR A QUICK EDIT!

How should I make the transition into my next arc, Rageful Rumble? Should I just have Hal head back to Oa, and an hour later, ol' Big, Red and Angry shows up? Or should I rather have him back at Earth, being sighted by the citizens for the first time?
