  To join their ranks one has to be chosen. It didn't matter that his father, Paran Katar, had founded them; the Nth metal would have the final say. Still, no one was surprised (least of all Paran), when his son Katar Hol was blessed with wings. He was the youngest Thanagarian to ascend into the ranks of the Wingmen, and that was fitting. As accomplished as his father was, Katar showed even more promise.
  
  
  Tragically, Katar Hol's future did not live up to prediction. A secret would be his undoing. A secret so explosive it would have taken anyone down with it. When Katar was still the prodigal rookie, a fresh-faced and hard-hitting Wingmen, he stumbled across a sinister plot. He overheard detailed plans for igniting a planetary war; a scheme to pit their home world of Thanagar against a rival planet named Rann. But the hardest part to swallow wasn't what the plans entailed, it was who was behind them. The architects of the treason was none other than the Wingmen leadership — his superiors. The elite flying police force, proudly founded by his own father, had fallen wicked.
  
  
  He knew, and they knew he knew. Had Katar not immediately fled he would had forfeited his life. He was in possession of the type of information that carried a death sentence. The young Wingmen reached out to a friend, one of the few he could still trust, for help. Her name was Shayera, another rookie Wingmen. The two had become close during their training. Shayera didn't have the luxury of time to digest what Katar revealed to her because he needed an escape plan yesterday. The only hope she could think of was Thanagar's long range teleporters. They weren't an ideal option, but they were his only foreseeable ticket to safety. And he needed to get there fast, because his new enemies were closing in for the kill.
  
  
  Katar Hol stormed onto the teleport deck mere moments before his pursuers did. He locked himself inside and keyed up a destination. Rann. He would go there and warn their people of exactly what atrocities were being plotted against them. That was the idea at least, but the stars didn't cooperate. More likely it was Katar's ineptitude with the teleporter controls. Regardless, when he stepped onto the teleport deck he didn't arrive where he expected to.
  
  
  Katar didn't question why he was alone before he smashed the teleporter behind him. Even with the privilege of hindsight he would have most likely done so again. His would be murderers had to be sealed off. The controls weren't an option: first Katar wasn't very technical, and second the computers were in the Rann language. So he made do — he crashed his Thanagarian mace into anything and everything that looked like it was connected to the teleporter. Problem solved.
  
  
  Only it wasn't. The Rann colony that he found himself in was abandoned. In fact, it hadn't played host to a life form in over six thousand years. It was a virtual forgotten shipwreck, still hanging on and running minimal systems from trace amounts of solar power. The original occupants had pulled out long ago to explore new sectors in space, with intentions of returning. Apparently something came up.
  
  
  The colony was tucked into the icy surface of a moon named Titan. It was a cold lifeless rock that orbited the gas giant Saturn. Katar, utterly alone, explored his new system. His wings pushed him towards another planet, a warmer one. He hesitated after discovering humanity. They weren't ready to accept an extraterrestrial immigrant. Not yet. He would need to blend in.

  +Increased Lifespan: Hawkman's alien DNA ages slower than most Earthlings, giving him roughly double the lifespan of a typical healthy human.
  
  
  +Enhanced Strength: Again, his other worldly heritage gives him great power. Hawkman can bench press 1500lbs for dozens of repetitions.

  +Anti-Gravity Flight: Hawkman's body, even without the benefit of wings, can lift away in slow flight at will.
  
  
  +Retractable Wings: Glorious man-sized wings can form or completely retract by thought. This ability adds greater speed and control to his flight.
  
  
  +Regeneration: Hawkman can quickly heal flesh and bone injuries, even entire limbs can be reformed.
  
  
  +Climate Tolerence: Hawkman is comfortable shirtless even in the chilling vacuum of space.

  Superheroic Ego: Hawkman can easily be lured into battle against metahumans who are obviously outside of his weight class.
  
  
  
  
  
  Self Sacrificial: Because of his regenerative ability Hawkman feels compelled to soak damage rather than have it fall on his allies.
  
  
  
  
  
  Battle Frenzy: While uncommon, Hawkman can succumb to blood lust during the more violent and visceral fights. Rational thinking, like teamwork and rescue objectives, go right out the window in favor of punishment.
  
  
  
• Arcs
  
  1. We Know Who You Are: Hawkman's secret identity, along with other details, has been compromised. Worst of it all the U.S. government is onto him, specifically a branch calling itself the Department of Metahuman Affairs. The only good news from any of this is that they're more desperate for his help than upset with him.
  
  
  2. Bad Medicine: Local terminally ill patients are going missing at an alarming rate. Could their disappearance coincide with the hulking freaks who grabbed an NYPD detective? And why did one of the most ruthless Thailand drug lords just fly into the city? Hawkman uncovers their ugly connection.
  
  
  3. Message From Titan: The Titan colony is back online and it's sending Hawkman messages. Did Rann finally reinstate a science team? Did someone from Thanagar trace where Hawkman teleported to, and if so, would they have followed him all the way across the galaxy? The only place that would have any answers is Titan.

Undecided about the Brainiac story as of right now. Maybe.

Note to self, don't have Batman reveal his identity to Vandy's Superman.

Batman has a lead lined cowl for that very reason. Superman's x-Ray vision can't see through it and it's the only thing that blocks out the effects Kryptonite has on Superman.

I have to wonder how the Lantern and Superman would get along. Lantern mostly has a bit of an edge, and will be shown as one of the "darker" heroes(like the Arrow in the CW Arrowverse). It'll be a while until he makes the transition to Green Lantern, and that's when he becomes more like his comics self.
