Indeed, Not only that though. His people usually feel emotions together using telepathy, they believe that facing ones demons alone is dangerous and counter productive...now he is the last one. He doesnt have anyone to share his grief with and doesnt know how to do it alone so he opted to simply turn his emotions off. (using telpathic walls built within his own mind by himself.)

That sounds interesting. Ako will probably try and help him. She just wants to help people, which is why she held Takeshi back.

Hey i get that the majin has magic but how does that allow him to hear the conversation that they are having? Only Takashi and the others are actually speaking, Val's communicating via telepathy.

It works the same way as the Kai's ability to communicate with people, but unlike the Kai's, it has to be directly in front of him and Res has to literally activate it. Res, being smarter than he acts, realized after hearing only replies that there was something he wasn't hearing.

Kinda a bummer though because that was a part of his dynamic is that his telepathic communication required for him to make a connection.

My next question is why would he trigger a massive explosion? The city hadnt taken too much damage and honestly i feel like a planet shaking explosion did more damage to the city then Val did.

I should also clarify the fact that he actually can't communicate telepathically and can only hear what others are thinking/"saying".
(Edit : Also, planet shaking was just an exaggeration for it was a really big one. Buildings within 20 feet of them would have some damage. However, the entire city would have been destroyed had he not have thrown it into the air.)
It's the nature of his cibumkinesis, loss of control, in this case, his excitement, causes the stuff he makes to explode if it hasn't been eaten. He didn't mean for it to explode, but it just happened, ergo why he threw it into the air to limit damage to surroundings, he knew he couldn't stop it.

The way I plan on RPing Res is as a kid with too much power. I'm purposely having him cause accidents and rush headfirst into things that interest him. He's definitely going to have to be watched by and kept in line by everyone. As Toriyama shows us through Goku, you have to have a character driven by fighting and excitement, and not much else, although Res does have much else.

I'm actually doing really fine.I had a great day after school as I had my fall chorus concert and then got to come home to RPN without having to worry about AP classes or homework just yet.

Whike i agree with the statement you made, it was well within my characters abilities to reflect attacks, as for the awareness it wasnt cosmic, just telepathic. Stealth cant work on someone who can sense a minds presence, nor will surprise attacks.
He wasnt designed to be an easy battle but i assure you he is beatable. After all hes already been hit hard before. To be honest i was going to reflect the mystic ball as well, but it seemed too easy. I have also not forced anyone to take a hit from the blast either. So i dont think it qualifies as metagaming.
One must think to beat Val, his whole perpose is to pose a threat to the overpowered and underthinking opponents.

I wish I was in college....Wish I had acquired a scholarship too, that would've made everything easier for me. XD Buuuut I am nothing special. That's good though! Certainly something to look forward to.

He's like the first boss in a game..If you're unprepared and don't know anything they'll curb stomp you into next week...But if you plan it out you can beat 'em up like the highschool jerk named Nick, that has slicked back hair and 20 dollars in his flannel shirt everyday...Always mocking you until you bring the baseball bat onto his knees.......
