Darkness in Elaria [ACTUAL RP]

" The easiest way is for you or Sheva or anyone else to touch my blood. Like humans, Murutha have red blood. But when we become cursed, it becomes black and emits dark magic. Should I be hurt, you need to avoid it." Ausinoe said. "Furthermore, it can be spread simply by being around me when the shadow grows particularly strong. This happens when I become angry or during full moons or when I'm surrounded by other dark magic. To keep the people around me safe, they will have to know all of this." She continued. "The curse is a plague upon my people. In my past, I was an Ashaltum. It was my duty to protect the city from the plague by tracking it down and eliminating it. This could mean killing people infected, and athough I know it was horrible, it meant ending the lies of the people around them as well. The curse spread to their lovers by night, to their children upon birth, to their doctors by wound. You have to know the gravity of the situation."

Skudi nodded.


"I understand, we need to find Skjorn, he can help us! We just have to hope he hasn't entered the dead marsh yet, if he has it will be very hard to find him. What of Sheva? Is she awake?" Skudi asked looking back towards the hidden outpost. 
(Yes it is, figured people should see the real me when I'm telling them epic tales!)
 
" I believe so, but do tell me how Skjorn will be of assistance. Can he raise an army to battle Dartak without the king's consent?"
 
Skudi scoffed.


"Skjorn can get anyone to follow him, he is very wise and has a commanding presence, he could gather an army if he so wished it!" Skudi explained.
 
" Excellent. I believe you of his wisdom, as I have been around him myself. But I still want to find a way to contact the Murutha eventually. Facing Dartak would go better with more Ashaltum like me by your side. Besides, we've been dealing with Shushannu for centuries."
 
"We could ask Sheva… her people possess the ability to ride dragons… maybe they can help with this journey?" Skudi offered. "Speaking of which lets go and check on our southern friend." Skudi said as he motioned for Ausinoe to enter the outpost.
 
"We should get to the marsh and stop Skjorn and Cypherion from facing Dartak without Muruthani support. They've a better chance of facing him - if hes there - with my people's magic."
 
Skudi nodded and walked into the outpost where Sheva had just awoke.


"Are you ready to leave? We're in a bit of a hurry, I'm putting trust into you as I have Ausinoe, do not betray my trust." Skudi said to Sheva. He figured they may be hungry but decided meeting up with Skjorn was more important.

Ausinoe led Skudi away. "Are you sure she can come with us... I just can't stop looking at her as a child for come reason. Maybe because of the way she stuck out her tongue at us when we first met her and talked about going around the world to find adventure. I.... I just can't put my finger on it. It's been bothering me for a while now."
 
Skudi looked to Sheva and then to Ausinoe.


"She has a dragon and comes from the dragon riders, she's a capable warrior, her people patrol the deserts for Orcs and have a reputation for the fighting skills. And you must remember Ausinoe, I have just reached manhood myself, everyone can use a little adventure in their life." Skudi said thinking of when all he wanted to do was leave Odeklundr.
 
" I know... it's just a horrible thought to me to have to put children into harms way. I've already lost a son, to be honest. " 
" Besides, she could be killed. As could you. The two of you are younger than I... I do not mean to hurt you, but I have SEEN and FELT the power of the darkness. That same darkness is present in Dartak."
 
Sheva had prepared everything as she smiled toward Han. Han walked outside as he allowed his wings to spread. Sheva hopped on top of Han and gave him a pat on the head. Sheva nodded her head as she smiled down at thm. "I am ready, whenever you are."


Eimin was already getting better, she groaned a little while coro watched the skys. Grimm came over and cawed as he smiled at him. "She's ok"
 
Skudi grabbed his pack and handed Ausinoe a pack as well. He took a deep breath as he looked far out in the distance from the mouth of the cave.


"Lets get moving, if Skjorn came though here then he is definitely headed for the northern border of the dead marsh and we should reach it by sundown." Skudi said as he mounted his horse and began to make his way towards the northern border.
