Darkness in Elaria [ACTUAL RP]

She crossed her legs together as he she thought back toward the history she was told. "Well Al'Sadirhimina resides in the G'Desh Desert in a fertile river valley by the coast. The Immortal City (as nicknamed by men) was the strongest kingdom founded by the gods to help teach the tribal man how to be civilized...mm were also know to be the second strongest kingdom"

"Gods...." Ausinoe couldn't help but reveal a deep seated atheism and strong dislike of religion. "What gods?"

Her eyes lit up as she scotted forward. "Don't you know, the moon god..the star god, the sun good and above all else the mother." She tilted her head and scooted even closer. "Do you want me to tell you about them..their stories and how they came to be?"

"I suppose so, although I can't say that I'd beleive some of it. My people rejected all gods thousands of years ago, so Atheism and ethics without them are deeply ingrained into all Muruthiame."

"No worries many people rejected them but those who still strongly believe can be blessed. She smiled as she got close to the fire and was about to tell tails . She moved her hand around the fire, as if she was pulling it toward her. The sparks went up as she looked at them. "The first God is the Sun god. He is the one who controls the day and has control over the flames of the earth." Han looked up as his tail moved back and forth. "Just like us the Sun God was human at first , until he took a journey. He was a small boy who was destined for greatness and was told so by his father who was king. He told him to go out and carve his own path, come back a man or maybe more."

Skudi looked to Ausinoe.

"That is where Odeklundr and the elves… have disagreements…" Skudi explained trying not to blurt out that Sheva was wrong, but he didn't care what she believed.

"And what are the 'gods' of Odeklundr'" She asked, keeping her face as stoic as possible. Ausinoe hated religion with a passion, believing that it only served to blind humanity to the truth of reality and bring war and suffering wherever it spread.

She outed a little until Han urged her on. She smiled toward him as she nodded his head and hugged his tail. "One day while he was traveling he came upon a tree. Out of nowhere it was just there by itself. All of a sudden he heard a voice and the tree caught fire. He panicked and tried to throw his water on it but it only made it worse. The voice came back and told him this was the life of the world. Burning and nothing can be done about it. This saddned the boy and he asked how could this change. The voice told him to hug the tree. " Han whined as he laid his head back down." It is to believe that every god may have a gift but every god has a curse as well. This was his. After hugging the tree, and given a new life, he was told if he did not uphold his duty as the sun god then the world he protected by hugging the tree would die"

"The sun god accepted this role and this cures and took his life among the skies. He was unable to come down home to meet his father, and tell of his good news. his role was to protect the world not associate with it. So not only was he given a gift and a horrible curse but he was given grief due to his longing for his home. Till this day he still wishes that he never did hug that tree, because maybe then he would have been able to see his father pass away and join the others .

She smiled as she shook her head. "Of course there was a sun. Everyone has a leacy that they pass down , like when a king passes his throne to his child. The previous god relinquished his seat to the boy. The sun god was set free of his duty but because he became the sung god at and older age, he didn't live much when he came back down to earth

" So your people do not hold the same view of gods I expected. You seem to see being a god as more of a role of responsibility among humanity than the rule of a supremely superior being."

She tilted he rhead to the side as she shook her head. "We believe there is no higher being. Our god are simply our role models , we kids look up to them, and wish to become like them. They never hold their position forever, and our gods are not immortal , that's the weird thing. They can die just like us, they shed blood just like us. If you put a God in the middle of a battle and he is pierced by a spear , he will die."
She looked at him with her mouth opened as she pointed. "I haven't even told you about mother yet."

" A most... fascinating view." She turned to Skudi, "Alright, your turn, my friend."
"Then tell me of this 'mother'"

She looked away form him toward her and looked up toward the sky. "Mother is , not like the one who gives us birth but as in the protector of the world, earth and the sky. Her story is different and much longer than the other gods , and the way she hands down her legacy is different to. The legacy must be passed down to and elf every 6 years , and her heart must be pure, and her eyes , they must see the good and evil in all things. Even the orcs."

" Why an elf? Why not a Muruthi, or a human, or an orc? Are we all not sentient beings of the world?"

"oh sorry miss don't get me wrong , you are all suitable to be the mother, but only because the first mother was an elf , that is how the line should follow... um how do I put this. Ah right, you see we are all equal but elves have higher minds. They open themselves up to the world, sleeping and being one with the world. But please don'ttake this the wrong way, we to have desires that lead us astray so weather it be human or other the outcome will still be the same." She rubbed the back of her hair to see if that made any sense.

" You speak of higher minds? If that is the case than I believe that one of my people would make a good heir. We are intullectuals by nature, and try to understand the world through our philosophy and art. We live without gods, and, thus, this world is all we have: we must treasure it and be one with it. If we did not, we would have nothing. For what are we but the living breathing earth given warm blood?"

She smiled at her as she nodded her head. " but this is more complicated then just minds and opening. Gene's are also involved. Hmmm I think I heard something while I came here. There were two heirs for the upcoming event. But one did so only one remains now. " Han had already fallen asleep , which made her narrow her eyes.

"And how do genetics play into this inheritance. To protect the earth is a matter of the heart. If one can become enlightned, genes do not matter. The mind is the measure, as it overcomes all else"

She really didn't want to press the issue on mother. "Because those she gives her legacy to are her children. That's thing, that is why she is so different from the moon and sun god, the stars and earth. It is passed down to her children."
