Neat, so how are we going to do this rp?

Well, we need a villain or some sort of conflict for the story before we could start, I'd say. Also a lieutenant Gordon. You have any ideas?

Well we probably shouldn't start off with the Joker, maybe mention him here and there in the first arc. The good thing about Batman is that he has a lot of good villains so choosing one to face off with first might not be too hard. I'd suggest the Penguin as a beginner adversary.

Also I was thinking since Bruce is just starting out as Batman maybe Alfred could have more of a direct role in helping him fight crime. Probably just at the beginning cause he'd be getting on in years and likely wouldn't beable to handle the strain of fighting baddies every night like Master Wayne.

Yeah, definitely not the Joker. The Penguin is a good idea, starting off with a crime boss before moving into the more super-powered side. Also, I'm new to RPnation and I haven't reached the amount of posts needed so when I post on or edit the interest check it needs approval before it actually posts, which is why the interest check disappears or my replies don't show up. I did have an idea for how some of the more super-powered enemies come in, but that would be later.

And yeah, I think this whole RP would be about making the character to our own interpretation and our own styles and stuff. Plus that seems like a cool idea. I do just wanna throw this out, I have no experience playing Bruce/Batman so it may be a bit bumpy at first.

I guess we just have to wait until somebody "approves" the interest check before we get any more interest. That's one of the reasons I'd like to talk as much as I can, so I can get the amount of posts I have up to 25.

In that case, I suppose we could discuss finer plot details like what plan of the Penguin's we'll try to foil.

Well, since it is the beginning of Bruce's career, we'd have to start it off slow as Bruce gets used to the whole uncovering information thing. As for Cobblepot's plan, I'm not sure if he would have an endgame or not. It could just be him seizing Gotham's drug/arms/whatever trade and bribing cops and city officials. I guess it's all up to how long he's been at the top of the food chain, criminal-wise.

Maybe his family has been deep into crime for centuries while to keeping a squeaky clean public image. The Penguin himself controls a large portion of Gotham's underworld but eventually seize control of all of it. Perhaps in the rp theres been a gang war going on for years and he could be preparing to gather the other gang leaders to a "peace negotiation" but in reality it's a trap intended to kill of his competitors.

Not a bad idea, but I'd still like whoever is going to play the Penguin to have a little creative freedom. I think that's a very good starting point though.

Also would you be interested in a 1x1 with Alfred and Bruce? I think it would be a good way for us to practice writing for our characters.

Just a slice of life kind of thing at Wayne Manor, maybe have Bruce and Alfred spar a bit.

Okay. And don't worry about embarrassing yourself, roleplaying a character isn't an exact science so as long as you don't do anything extremely out of character (i.e. out right killing the bad guys) you'll be golden! Promise.

Bruce's first conflicts are generally with organized crime ala the Falcones, Maronis, and so forth. The Penguin doesn't generally come into after Bruce has cleared out the major Gotham Crime Families from Gotham. We can obviously shift to Cobblepot if we want a different interpretation.

Yeah, my first thought was Rupert Thorne or the Maronis or Falcones. I doubt we'll actually get anyone to play any of them, if we get anyone else at all. And also it does kind of bring into everyone's own interpretations and stories. Which reminds me, I'll have to bump up the interest check soon.
Simple_Traveler sorry!!! I said it would be a few hours but I waited overnight. I had a pretty exhausting car trip and I was really tired when I got home so I just went to sleep

Eventually, we're just gonna have to NPC certain characters.

We might just need to incorporate that into our POVs. I might incorporate them if I also look into playing Helena Bertinelli, but that's not quite on the table... yet. Don't wanna get carried away.
