With the transfer to New York, Alyssa opening up a small branch of her firm there. That would be home for all of them soon. Alyssa sighed as she looked around her office and looked at the case file. She needed to do this but she was having doubts, so she called her husband for an opinion and to hear how Lilly's doing.

Jayden heard the phone ring and quickly answered it when he saw who it was. "How may I help you?" He answers with a soft laugh as he watched Lilly eat her breakfast.

Alyssa sighed when he answered the phone. "A new case Jay but I ant bring myself to do it. My client was sexually assaulted. I can't Jay I just can't." She whispered and fought back tears.

When he heard her panicked voice he stood and left Lilly to her breakfast. There was some things the kids didn't know and Alyssa's assault was one of them. Jayden felt they didn't need to know, they were both young and Jayden broke it up.

Lilly wondered where her father had gone but she just shrugged it off and continued to eat. When Alyssa didn't get a response back, she sighed and sat in her office. The door closed and her facing at the window as she stared out at the city and then eventually, cried into her knees that were up against her chest. All appointments canceled. She couldn't do this. It was too much.

Jayden in a few minutes time was in front of her office waiting for her to open the door. He knew she was probably entering one of her stages like she always used to when they first for married.

When Alyssa heard the knock, she sighed and walked over to open the door and pulled her husband in as she held him close with the door closing behind. "I can't." She whispered and began to cry.

"Shhhh it's alright." He says pulling her closer to him for comfort as he stroked her hair. It has been awhile since she had an episode but he understood that this was something she would have to deal with for the rest of her life. "Take a deep breathe." When she pulled away he wiped away her tears. She had dealt with cases like this before so he wasn't so sure why she suddenly was bothered but he didn't question it.

"It's him." She whispered, waiting for her husband to catch on. This was one of many cases like this but knowing the one who assaulted you assaulted another girl was sickening. She knew too however, this case wouldn't be easy and when e would be on trial and questioning would kill her. "Jayden I really want to help her but I can't face him." She whispered.

"It's okay.." He whipsawed to her reassuringly before he leaned into his her to calm her nerves. "Just tell them you can't take this one because of personal ties, they'll understand." Jayden however was not shocked by the news her attacker found another victim. Looking back he remembered the promise he made to him if Jayden ever heard he laid a hand on another woman. "So he didn't get the message the first time eh?" People like him need to be shot." He says disgustedly.

Alyssa sighed as she shook her head and nodded. "My love, I want to help her but I just...." She whispered as she shivered. She was being weak and se hated it. She was only ever weak around her husband however. "My plans for the firm in New York are going well however." She whispered trying to get her mind off this.

Jayden smiled at her change of subject and nodded. "That's good, I'm glad." He really didn't want her to have to give up the practice again. Letting out s soft sigh he looked back to his wife, "We still have to talk to Lilly and Riley." He reminds her since they were leaving in a short amount of time, they might be upset each for their own reasons but it was for the best.

Alyssa sighed as her husband reminded her and she nodded. "I know love. What are we going to do?" She asked him and sat down in her chair and spinned it around and around because she was bored when she heard her pager. "Yes Mary?" She asked and Mary sighed. "Mrs. Woods. There's a man here asking that he see you now. It's important." She said and Alyssa sighed. She still wasn't stable to talk anything with anyone. "Please put him on my emergency list and I'll get back to him tomorrow." She said and ended the call.

Jayden sat down in a chair across from her and sighed again. "I'm not sure, but it'll be alright, it always is." He reminds her. Looking around he smiled at all the pictures of them and their little family on the walls. When they were younger it was things like this he was curious about, what kind of family they would have and how successful they would be. Despite their setbacks he wouldn't take back anything. Getting up from the chair he walked around the desk and kissed her for a long while. When he pulled away he smiled against her lips. "Are you okay now?" He aka, he wasn't going to leave until she was.

"Not okay enough to face anyone face to face but I do have to work on some paperwork." She whispered against his lips and leaned over to kiss him again. "I love you." She whispered then kissed him more roughly and smiled against his lips. "You could always stay with me." She whispered and but his lip.

Her husband laughed softly and kissed her again. "I could but what fun is watching you do paperwork?" He aka kissing her jaw before he pulled away again. He was having fun teasing her.

"Mmm." Alyssa said as she laughed softly and kissed her husband along the neck. "Is there anyway I can persuade you to stay?" She asked, loving how they were teasing each other.b

"I don't know is there?" With a smirk he kissed her lips again. When he pulled away he shook his head when she tried to reach for him again. "This is no way to behave at work Mrs Woods." With raised eyebrows he bit his lip and look at her for a few moments before the phone rang again.

Alyssa smiled softly at her husband and when she heard the phone, she answered it. "Yes?" Se asked and it was Mary again. Alyssa finally said to let the man in and when he did, she tensed terribly. It was him. Why was he here? She hadn't even agreed to taking the case.

The moment Jayden saw him he stepped in front of his wife protectively. He could tell by the surprise on his face he wasn't expecting Jayden to be here. "What in the hell are you doing here? Did you come back for round two?" He asks falling his hands into fists to keep his anger at bay. He had a feeling this indeed why he was here and the thought of that even happening was enough for Jayden to lose it but he behaved for now so he didn't frighten his wife.

Alyssa stayed behind her wife and hugged him close as her whole body began to shake. She was scared and didn't want anything to happen. Not here at least. Nobody knew of her assault other then her husband. "I can ask you the same question." He said and Alyssa pulled her husband closer. "Just wanted to pay Alyssa a visit before we go to court." He added and Alyssa shook her head.

Jayden felt his wife press herself tightly against him and that only made him more protective over her. "Well your visit is over you can get the hell out before I call the police for harassment." His voice was starting to raise itself with his anger and he wasn't moving away from his wife.

When Jaydens voice rose, Alyssa became frightened and at his laugh, she continued to shake. "Let's see how well you do with this case Aly." He said then took his leave and Alyssa was done for the day. She wasn't capable of working anymore. She was far too scared.

"Oh hell no." Jayden mutters under his breathe. Turning to his wife he kissed her forehead and told her he was sorry and to stay out. Before she could stop him he was running out of the office and down the hall where he caught up with his soon to be victim. Walking quickly behind him he grabbed him by the neck and threw him to the ground. "I thought I made myself clear the first time, this is far more personal now. Who in the hell do you think you are coming into my wife's office and trying to take advantage of her?! The only thing I did wrong the first time was not kill you." He says before he let his anger take control. He lost count how many times punches he threw but he didn't care. If the law wasn't going to give him the beating he deserved Jsyden was giving it to him now.
