Lily woke up bright and early like always as she stretched and got ready. First day of school as a Freshman, this would be an exciting day. She got dressed and when she finished, ran down the stairs and hugged her dad before grabbing an apple. "Try outs are today for drill team. Wish me luck." She said as she laughed at Jayden and then hugged her mom. "Am I taking bus today?" She asked as she sat at the island then looked at Riley who came running down the stairs as well. "Oh, have you heard from Bella about the baby?" She asked them with a smile. She was excited to have a niece. "No nothing get love." Alyssa said as she smiled then looked at Jayden. "You want to take them or I?"

Jayden sighed softly and set the coffee cup on the counter as he looked to his wife with a hint of sadness in his eyes. Arabella and Landen were grown now and their youngest kids were starting high school today. Where did the time go? They weren't babies anymore Ian's it made him a little upset. though he was excited at the news of Bella about to become s mother of her own it didn't seem possible. "I'll take them." He says with a smile as they ran off to grab their things he kissed his wife quickly in good bye since he had to go to work straight after dropping them off.

Alyssa knew what her husband was feeling. She was feeling it too. Their youngest were starting high school today. The time was going by so fast. When Lily arrived at school, she kissed her fathers cheek then got out and smiled at the sight of her school. She walked in and looked around looking for her best friend. He had to be here somewhere. He promised he'd bring her coffee today since she had try outs after school.

When Jace saw her he quickly ran up to her and took her into a hug. "We'll look who made it." He says feasibly. "I'm surprised your dad even let you out of the house, he does know there's guys here right?" Lilly constantly got teased for her father bing so over protective but Jace respected him big only as a professional but as a person when he watched him care for Riley after he suffered a head injury from football. You could tell the man had a passion for he did and a strong love for his family. That was rare these days.

Lily looked over at Jace as she laughed and shook her head. "Oh shut up." She said punching his arm slightly then looked at him. "Did you get my coffee or not?" She asked him as she thought about her dad this morning. She knew he was upset at the fact that his youngest kids were going to high school but she would forever be daddy's little girl. She loved him so much and her mom. Even her brother at times. "So I need to show you my dance routine and I need opinions. I want to make sure it's perfect for try outs." She told him and sighed nervously. She was extremely nervous for this.

"Oh stop it, you don't need to practice? You've got this totally in the bag." He says handing her a coffee mug and heading for the inside of the school. "You be amazing." He reassured her with a hug before he told her goodbye and walked off to get his schedule from homeroom.

Lily sighed as she told Jace by and and drank some of his coffee. She'd be okay, he reassured her she would. She went up to her home room where she saw her brother and sat next to him. "So how's football?" She asked Riley as she yawned. She was nervous and it was showing. She wanted school to be over so she could do what she loved.

Riley shrugged with a confident smirk. "It's in the blood." He says proudly before he sat beside his younger sister. "Dad might have been dumb enough to give it up but I am not." He knew his insult towards their father would offend his sister he never understood why his father made the choices he did. His mom was just a girl, they weren't important.

Lily looked at her brother and punched his arm and saw him flinch. For a girl she hit rather hard. "Shut up. Dad wasn't dumb, he just went after what made him truly happy. I hope you realize football won't get you anywhere in life when you suck as much as you do." Lily told her brother. She hated when he insulted their father like that. Lily found it adorable that their father quit football for mom. "Plus, if he didn't give it up, you probably wouldn't even be here right now." She added with a hump as their home room teacher began to talk.

Riley rolled his eyes at Lilly, "I do not." He replies back in a hushed whisper as he rubbed his arm. "Yeah because watching someone die is something to make someone truly happy." He says with a scoff not paying the teacher any attention as he got up when they were dismissed. The truth was Riley had resentment towards his father because everyone knew who he was and Riley didn't want to be compared to him, he wanted to live up to be himself, he wanted his success to be rightfully his and not be because he was Jayden Woods son.

At that Lily stood up when dismissed and pushed her brother against the wall. "Take it back Riley." She told him then sighed as she heard a teacher come over and saw Lily put her hands on Riley. She was going to have detention but she couldn't. She had try outs. She couldn't miss them but she didn't want a referral either. Lily agreed and when the teacher walked away, she punched her brother straight in the stomach. "I don't see why you hate dads decision so much. You know damn well he could have just forgotten about mom and let her die and boy wouldn't that make you happy right Riley!" She exclaimed then walked off. Her brother always made her upset one way or another and now she had detention because of him.

Riley took the blow and but his lip to hide the pain. He paid his sister's rage no mind, she was a daddy's girl, her defending him was no surprise. She earned that detention and it amused Riley because his sister was always little miss perfect, never did anything wrong. However, his amusement quickly wiped off his face when he saw his brother walk down the hall. He was a teacher here. When landen saw him he sighed and played with his wedding ring on his left hand. "Are you acting out already?"


"No." He says quickly before he headed off to class as he was told.

Lily went to class and when she was called into the office, she didn't know why but when she saw her brother, she felt nothing but rage as he explained the story as to what happened. The teacher who saw decided to take it to the office and before Lily could get her hands on Riley, she was given ISS. No. This was worse then detention. Now she really couldn't do try outs. Lilly walked off to the ISS room and Landen just so happened to be the teacher for today, just great. "I don't want to hear it." Lily said as she walked to a back corner desk and sat there, miserable. Riley would so get pay back for this. ISS on the first day of school was always nice and when she felt her phone vibrate, she looked at the text and smiled at the sight of Jaces name. "In ISS. Kinda beat up Riley but guess what, that's not it, Landens the ISS teacher today... Just my luck." She sent to Jace as she sighed.

"You mean Mr Woods? He's a pretty cool teacher, but I don't know, I'll deal with Riley later." Meanwhile Landen looked to his sister and couldn't help but shake his head. Something must have really gotten into Lilly, she never did anything wrong. Walking over to her he sat on top of the desk across from her. "This isn't me talking to you as your teacher, this is me talking to you as your brother, what's wrong Lil?" He asked concerned.

"Riley's being an asshole." Lily said as she sighed in frustration and anger and wiped her face as she got her phone and replied to Jace. "Pretty cool teacher and brother. I love him but I don't want him telling mom and dad just yet." She replied and then looked up at Landen. "I've never once said dad was stupid for the decisions he made and for Riley to say dad was stupid and then for him to bring mom into it. He's becoming an asshole lately and he's lucky my fist hasn't met his face yet." Lily said as she sighed and tried to calm down. Her and Riley just didn't get along anymore. She then put her head on her desk and sighed. "He has such a big head when it comes to football I'm going to laugh when it just blows up in his face." Now Lily was merely talking out of anger.

Landen laughed at his little sister. "Woah there, calm down there. You know you two crack me up, Bella and k used to argue over mom and dad to you know, excerpt Bella was always arguing that mom was stupid to ever ruin their marriage." Her brother simply shrugged that was something neither one of them told their parents. "It'll get better Lil, Riley will learn his lesson dad doesn't put up with air heads. You should know that. Jayden never did put up with his kids thinking they were better than everyone else because they had money, he made them work for everything they had and Riley was blind to get a rude awakening when his father found out he was acting so self centered.

Lily sighed as she nodded but stayed with her head on the desk. "I know I know but now I can just forget all about try outs for drill team. Just perfect." She whispered and then closed her eyes as she fought back tears. Dancing was where she felt nothing. It was how she forgot about the world around her and now she couldn't do what she dreamed of doing. Not this year at least. "ISS is boring." She told her brother with a laugh.

"How do you think k feel? It's my job to sit here and watch you hooligans." He says teasingly with a smile. Walking over to his desk he filled out s return slip to class. "This never happened, understood?" He says handing her the slip. It probably was against ethics but Lilly was a good kid."just stay away from Riley okay, I can't keep everything from mom and dad." He says with a wink.

Lily smiled as she took the slip then hugged her brother. "Thanks Landen." She said then walked out and went to her class which sadly had Riley but also Jace. Lily gave her teacher the slip then went and sat next to Jace because Landen said to stay away from Riley, so she was for now.

When Jace Saw Lilly he rolled his eyes again but after that didn't even acknowledge her. She always was treated so different from him? What kid would pull off getting out of that kind of trouble? Lilly of course. It wasn't fair

Lily did all the teacher asked and wrote down that she would need certain materials for this class. She was ready for this because history always excited her and she was ready for biology as well. When bell rang, she got up and went to her next class with Jace, ignoring Riley completely.

Jace shook his head at the two. "I'm not even going to put him in his place, I'm sure your dad will do a better job than me." (lol Jace wait until you find out.) taking Lilly into a side hug he walked with her to their next class together. When they walked into class he heard some girls talking about how cute they thought Landen was and Jace laughed and turned to Lilly. He could tell they had not the slightest clue yet they were siblings. "Should I break the news he's married or should you?" Jace asked with a teasing whisper as he took the seat next to her.

Lily overheard the girls and merely laughed at her best friend. "Oh let them get all have fun. It'll be better when Landen will say he's married." Lily said as she laughed but sat down and got her spiral out again. What were they going to need for this class? She was going to need a locker this year. "Hey, we share a hallway locker this year?" She suggested since she would have a locker in the dance room for all her dancing equipment and if Jace decided to play a sport, he'd have a locker in the locker room for his clothes.

Jace shrugged and nodded to his friend. "Sure." He says with a friendly smile as Landen walked in the room, they found another teacher to take over where he had left. He really didn't want to stay there he had classes to teach and it was only the first day. When he saw his sister he smiled. "Nice seeing you here." He says with his hands in his pockets "you look familiar have I seen you somewhere?" He asked with a questionable look.

"Funny Mr. Woods." Lily said as she laughed softly. It felt awkward calling him Mr. Woods but he was her teacher right now, not her brother. She couldn't help but love the looks she was getting from the girls that's found Landen cute. Lily couldn't see why they did. Landen was alright.
