Dimitri watches. After they started to take her he followed."Now Jasper, clear one thing up for me." He took a little pause. "What the hell are you doing with the circle or court or what ever it is of light, and what are they." He said a little angry.

Jasper stood up and winced he nods to his friends to go inside. "Dimitri to gain power and authority in this world you need to be with the right people. And the court of light is the one way to do that we will protect that brat since she is our only hope, but after this your done and can go back to your non existent life while I go on to be rewarded by the Tsar and have a title. Princesses dont marry below them." Jasper says and goes to limp inside.

Dimitri turned around, and started to head towards the gate. That was only a act. When Jasper turned his back, Dimitri rushed up behind him, grabbed the back of his head and drove his face into the ground. He pressed the barrel of the gun up against the back of his head. "I never really liked you." He said. "Say anything like that again and I won't think about pulling this trigger."

The guards run and grab Dimitri. The make him kneel in the snow with a gun pointed at his head.Kenzi had been watching. "Stop it now. Both of you. As the princess I demand you let him go at once."Kenzi snaps. They look at her. Her look was dark and dangerous. They back off and Help Jasper up and towards the door.Kenzi knelt beside Dimitri. "Are you okay?"She asks.Kenzi looks at him.

"Yeah." He got off his knees. "Kenzie... What ever happens, Don't give that guy anything... He isn't worth it." He said. He wiped some blood from his lip. Apparently they like liked being rough. "Lets get into a tent." He yawned a little. "Were gonna need some sleep... you more then me."

Kenzi nods and bites her lip. Kenzi went inside the place it was big and warm. A servant came and took her coat.Kenzi looked around. We have your room all set we will post a guard at your door." They say.


Kenzi looked at them."No I dont need a guard at all."Kenzi says. " Miss we insist. "They say."fine, but I choose my own Dimitri will be there I only trust him" Kenzi says. They nod and lead her to her room. Villain was with Loki. Once in her large room she sank into a chair.Kenzi was looking into the fire annoyed.

Dimitri could easily tell that she was annoyed. "You wanna talk about it?" He said as he sat down in the chair that was opposite her.

Kenzi looked over at him.her look softened gently. "I dont want my life to change. I feel like it is changing for the worse not better. I mean this whole Tsar thing not my Idea. She said sitting up sighing.Kenzi wasn't annoyed with him.He had been great with her even at the palace.

"Life does change, you can't help that." Loki curled up near the fire. "Look at this fire. It doesn't know if it's going to die from lack of fuel... It has no worries about what was going around it... It just burns. You can do this. I know you can... Just at the end of the day, stay true to yourself."

Kenzi looked at him the fire danced on her skin.She smiles" your really good at this thank you."Kenzi said she got up and Villain took her spot purring. Kenzi shook her head.Kenzi kissed his cheek. "You should take your own advice. "Kenzi says and walks for the bathroom grabbing a towel and night clothes. "I am gonna warm up with a bath. Bathroom is all yours when I am done."Kenzi said.

She was right, Dimitri needed to take his own advice. The cat took her spot and she went into the bathroom. "Take all the time you need... I will just be out here." He said. Loki rushed over and laid at Dimitri's feet. "Good boy." He said.

Kenzi bathes in water. The tub was clean.Kenzi squealed in delight. This was so nice. She could actually get clean. She took about an hour to clean. Kenzi finally got out and looked her skin. It was clean and clear. Her hair looked shiny as she brushed it out. She walked out dressed, after she cleaned up after herself. She walked over to the bed and sank into it. She sighed staring up at the canopy. "Dimitri? "She asks

Dimitri was starring at the fire. He petted the cat when she called out for him. He got up and walked to the door way that was between the Area he was in and the bedroom. "Yes?" He said as he leaned against the door frame.

She sat up and looked at him."do you want the bed I can get the couch. Not use to the luxury."Kenzi says.She looked at him with a small smile.

"You take the bed. I will sleep on the couch... Who knows maybe it will be softer then a few of the cots they got out there." He motioned to the other side of the wall. He turned his back and walked to the couch. He laid down, the fire was still a lit. Loki was on the floor next to him and, the the cat, Villian was asleep on the chair.

Kenzi layed back on the bed. She got under the covers and fell asleep. Kenzi was curled sound asleep in her bed a noise woke her the window was open she walked over to it and closed it. When she turned a dark figure was in her face.Kenzi woke screaming. She breathed and looked at the window. She put her head in her hands.when would the night mares go away. They had gotten worse since this all started.

After a few hours Dimitri fell asleep. He didn't know if it was the roar of the fire or the fact that it was warmed in there then in his own apartment. He did hear it when Kenzie was screaming. He rushed in, gun in one hand, knife in the other. "What, what is it?"

Kenzi shook her head. She was on the verge of tears.Kenzi had hid her face into her hands. She was freaked out, she hated these nightmares.

Dimitri walked over and sat down on the bed. "Hold on I have an idea. Loki. Here boy." He said. Loki rushed into the room. Dimitri patted the bed. "Up boy. Come on." Loki jumped on the bed, and found a comfy spot. He laid down. "When ever I have a bad dream, this guy somehow always seems to calm me down." Loki nudged close to Kenzie.

Kenzi looked up tears in her eyes. She wiped her eye's. Kenzi looked at the dog and layed her hand on his head. She pet him gently. She looked at Dimitri and sighed. Kenzi smiles and wrapped her arms around his neck. "Thank You. "She says leaning into him.

Dimitri put down the knife. "Your welcome." He put his hand on her back. "Now try and get some sleep." He said before getting up and walking out of the room into the little room. He laid down on the couch and fell asleep.

Kenzi nods.Kenzi fell asleep wrapped around Loki. He was warm and soft.Kenzi slept dreamlessly.


A knock came on the door waking Dimitri in the morning. A guard glares at him. "Wake the princess, she needs to get ready. Tell her. There are clothes in the wardrobe for her."He says. He walked away. Kenzi stayed sound asleep.

Dimitri was half asleep when they gave him those orders. "Alright." He said a little groggy. He walked into the doorway. "Hey, listen you got to get up... They want you for something... They said there were clothes in the wardrobe."He said.

Kenzi threw a pillow at him."go away."Kenzi mumbles. She curled around Loki again with a sigh. Kenzi was trying to go back to sleep.
